1. 1

   הַזְכֵּרput-in-mindאֹתָםthemשֶׁיִּהְיוּto-beנִכְנָעִיםsubjectוְשֹׁמְעִיםto-obey-magistratesלַשָׂרִיםto-principalitiesוְלַשִּׁלְטוֹנִיםand-powersוּנְכוֹנִיםto-be-readyלְכׇל־מַעֲשֶׂהto-all-a-workטוֹב׃good

   Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,

2. 2

   וּלְבִלְתִּיto-noדַּבֵּרspeak-evil-ofרָעanyעַלofכׇּל־אָדָםmanוְלַחֲדֹלto-be-no-brawlersמֵרִיבgentleוְלָדִיןshewingלְכַףallזְכוּתmeeknessוּלְהִתְנַהֵגuntoבָּעֲנָוָהall-menלִפְנֵיbeforeכׇּל־אָדָם׃all-men

   To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

   כִּיbecauseגַם־אֲנַחְנוּalso-weהָיִינוּwe-wereמִלְּפָנִיםsometimesחַסְרֵיfoolishדַעַתwithout-knowledgeוְסוֹרֲרִיםand-disobedientוְתוֹעִיםdeceivedוַעֲבָדִיםservingלְתַאֲוֹתlustsוְלִתְשׁוּקוֹתand-pleasuresשֹׁנוֹתdiversוּמִתְהַלְּכִיםlivingבְּרִשְׁעָהin-maliceוְקִנְאָהand-envyוּשְׂנוּאִיםhatefulוְשׂנְאִיםand-hatingאִישׁa-manאֶת־אָחִיו׃one-another

   For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

   אׇמְנָםtrulyכַּאֲשֶׁרafter-thatנִגְלָהappearedנֹעַםthe-kindness-ofאֱלֹהִיםGodמוֹשִׁיעֵנוּour-Saviorוְאַהֲבָתוֹand-his-loveאֶת־הָאָדָם׃toward-man

   But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,

   לֹאnotבִגְלַלin-account ofמַעֲשֵׂיworks-ofהַצְּדָקָהthe-righteousnessאֲשֶׁרwhichעָשִׂינוּwe-have-doneהוֹשִׁיעַhe-savedאֹתָנוּusכִּיbutאִם־בְּחַסְדּוֹaccording-to-his-mercyעַל־יְדֵיbyטְבִילַתthe-washing-ofהַלִּידָהregenerationהַחֲדָשָׁהandוְחִדּוּשׁrenewing-ofרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁ׃the Holy Ghost

   Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

   אֲשֶׁרwhichשָׁפַךְhe-shedעָלֵינוּon-usלְמַכְבִּירabundantlyעַל־יְדֵיby-means-ofיֵשׁוּעַJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַthe-Messiahמוֹשִׁיעֵנוּ׃our-Savior

   Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

7. 7

   לְמַעַןin-order-thatנִצְדַּקbeing-justifiedבְּחַסְדּוֹby-his-graceוְנִירַשׁwe-should-be-made-heirsלְפִיaccording-toהַתִּקְוָהthe-hopeאֶת־חַיֵּיthe-life-ofהָעוֹלָמִים׃eternal

   That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

8. 8

   אֱמֶתtrueהַדָּבָרis-the-sayingוְרֹצֶהand-willאֲנִיIשֶׁתְּקַיֵּםthat-you-affirm-constantlyאֶת־אֵלֶּהthese-thingsלְמַעַןin-order-thatאֲשֶׁרwhichיִשְׁקְדוּmight-be-carefulהַמַּאֲמִינִיםthe-believersבֵּאלֹהִיםin-Godלַעֲסֹקto-engage-inבְּמַעֲשִׂיםin-good-worksטוֹבִיםgoodכִּיforטוֹבgoodלַעֲשׂוֹתareכָּאֵלֶּהthese-thingsוּמוֹעִילand-profitableלָאָדָם׃unto-men

   This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

   אֲבָלbutתִּרְחַקavoidמִן־הַשְּׁאֵלוֹתquestionsהַתְּפֵלוֹתfoolishוּמִלִּמּוּדֵיandתוֹלָדוֹתgenealogiesוּמִמְּדָנִיםand-contentionsוְרִיבוֹתand-strivingsבִּדְבַרaboutהַחֻקִּיםthe-lawכִּי־אֵיןfor-they-areבָּהֶןunprofitableמוֹעִילand-vainוְהֶבֶלand-vainהֵנָּה׃hither

   But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

    וְאִישׁand-the-man-ofהַחוֹלֵקthat-dividethעַל־הָאֱמוּנָהthe-faithאִם־הוּכַחafter-the-firstפַּעַםand-secondוּשְׁתָּיִםadmonitionשְׂטֵהrejectמֵעָלָיו׃from-him

    A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;

11. 11

    וְדַעand-knowכִּי־אִישׁbecause-man-ofכָּזֶהsuchהֲפַכְפַּךְis-subvertedהוּאheוְחוֹטֵאand-sinnethכְּמַרְשִׁיעַcondemned-ofאֶת־נַפְשׁוֹ׃himself

    Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

12. 12

    בְּשׇׁלְחִיwhen-I-shall-sendאֵלֶיךָunto-youאֶת־אַרְטְמָסArtemasאוֹorאֶת־טוּכִיקוֹסTychicusתְּמַהֵרbe-diligentלָבוֹאto-comeאֵלַיunto-meלְנִקָפֹּלִיסto-Nicopolisכִּי־גָמַרְתִּיfor-I-have-determinedבְלִבִּיin-heart-myלָשֶׁבֶתto-dwellשָׁםthereבִּימֵיin-the-days-ofהַסְּתָיו׃the-winter

    When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter.

13. 13

    שְׁקֹדdiligentlyלְשַׁלֵּחַbring-on-their-journeyאֶת־זֵינָסZenasבַּעַלthe-lawyerהַתּוֹרָהthe-lawוְאֶת־אַפּוֹלוֹסand-Apollosלְמַעַןin-order-thatלֹא־יַחְסְרוּthat-they-lackדָבָרnothingלְדַרְכָּם׃on-their-journey

    Bring Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting unto them.

14. 14

    וְיִלְמְדוּand-they-may-learnגַּם־אַנְשֵׁיalso-the-men-ofעֲדָתֵנוּoursלַעֲסֹקto-maintainבְּמַעֲשִׂיםgood-worksטוֹבִיםgoodלַעֲזֹרforבְּכׇל־מַחְסוֹרnecessary-usesפֶּן־יִהְיוּthat-they-be-notבְּלִי־פֶרִי׃unfruitful

    And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

15. 15

    כֹּלallאֲשֶׁרwhichעִמָּדִיwith-meשֹׁאֲלִיםsaluteלִשְׁלוֹמֶךָyouשְׁאַלgreetלִשְׁלוֹםfor-the-welfare-ofהָאֹהֲבִיםthem-that-loveאֹתָנוּusבֶּאֱמוּנָהin-the-faithהַחֶסֶדgraceעִם־כֻּלְּכֶםwith-all-youאָמֵן׃amen

    All that are with me salute thee. Greet them that love us in the faith. Grace be with you all. Amen.
