   Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer,

   וְאֶל־אַפִּיָּהve/EL-ap/piy/YAand to Apphiaהָאֲהוּבָהha/a/hu/VAbelovedוְאֶל־אַרְכִפּוֹסve/EL-ar/khip/POSand to Archippusחֲבֵרֵנוּcha/ve/re/NUour companionבַּצָּבָאbats/tsa/VAin the armyוְאֶל־הַקְּהִלָּהve/EL-hak/ke/hil/LAand to the churchאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isבְּבֵיתֶךָ׃be/ve/TE/khain your house

   And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house:

   חֶסֶדCHE/sedgraceלָכֶםla/KHEMto youוְשָׁלוֹםve/sha/LOMand peaceמֵאֵתme/ETfromאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאָבִינוּA/VI/nuour Fatherוְהָאָדוֹןve/ha/a/DONand the LordיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃ham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiah

   Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

   מוֹדֶהmo/DEthankאֲנִיa/NIIלֵאלֹהַיle/lo/HAYmy Godבְּכׇל־עֵתbe/KHOL-etalwaysבְּהַזְכִּירִיbe/haz/ki/RIwhen I mentionאֹתְךָot/KHAyouבִּתְפִלּוֹתָי׃bit/fil/lo/TAYin my prayers

   I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,

   בְּשׇׁמְעִיbe/shom/Iwhen I hearאֶת־אַהֲבָתְךָet-a/ha/va/te/KHAyour loveוֶאֱמוּנָתְךָve/e/mu/na/te/KHAand faithאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלְךָle/KHAyou haveאֶל־הָאָדוֹןel-ha/a/DONto the LordיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusוְאֶל־כׇּל־הַקְּדוֹשִׁים׃ve/EL-kol-hak/ke/do/SHIMand toward all the saints

   Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;

   לְמַעַןle/MA/ansoחֶבְרַתchev/RATthe company ofאֱמוּנָתְךָe/mu/na/te/KHAyour faithתִּהְיֶהtih/YEmay becomeפֹעֶלֶתfo/E/leteffectiveבְּדַעַתbe/DA/atin the knowledge ofכׇּל־טוֹבkol-tovevery goodאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isבָּכֶםba/KHEMin youבַּמָּשִׁיחַbam/Ma/SHI/achin the Messiahיֵשׁוּעַ׃Ye/SHU/aJesus

   That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

   כִּיkiforשִׂמְחָהsim/CHAjoyגְדוֹלָהge/do/LAgreatוְנֶחָמָהve/ne/cha/MAand comfortלָנוּLA/nuwe haveבְּאַהֲבָתֶךָbe/a/ha/va/te/KHAin your loveכִּיkibecauseמְעֵיme/Ethe inward parts ofהַקְּדוֹשִׁיםhak/ke/do/SHIMthe saintsהוּנְחוּhun/CHUare refreshedעַל־יָדְךָal-ya/de/KHAby youאָחִי׃a/CHImy brother

   For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.

   לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeגַּםgamalsoכִּי־יֵשׁki-yeshthough there isלִיlito meפִּתְחוֹןpit/CHONan opening ofפֶּהpemouthרַבravmuchבַּמָּשִׁיחַbam/Ma/SHI/achin the Messiahלְצַוֹּתְךָle/tsav/vot/KHAto command youאֶת־הַנָּאוֶה׃et-han/na/VEwhat is fitting

   Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient,

   אַךְakhbutלְמַעַןle/MA/anfor the sake ofהָאַהֲבָהha/a/ha/VAloveמְבַקֵּשׁme/vak/KESHaskאֲנִיa/NIIמִמְּךָmim/me/KHAyouיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreבִּהְיוֹתִיbih/yo/TIbeingכָּזֶהka/ZEsuchפּוֹלוֹסPo/LOSPaulהַזָּקֵןhaz/za/KENthe old manוְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowגַּם־אֲסִירgam-a/SIRalso a prisoner ofיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃ham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiah

   Yet for love's sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.

    מְבַקֵּשׁme/vak/KESHaskאֲנִיa/NIIמִמְּךָmim/me/KHAyouעַל־בְּנִיal-be/NIfor my sonאֳנִיסִימוֹסO/ni/si/MOSOnesimusאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomיְלִדְתִּיוye/lid/TIVI begotבְּמוֹסֵרָי׃be/mo/se/RAYin my bonds

    I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:

11. 11

    אֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoמִלְּפָנִיםmil/le/fa/NIMformerlyלֹא־הוֹעִילlo-ho/ILwas not usefulלְךָle/KHAto youוְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowמוֹעִילmo/ILusefulגַּם־לְךָgam-le/KHAboth to youגַם־לִי׃gam-liand to me

    Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me:

12. 12

    אֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomהֲשִׁבֹתִיוha/shi/vo/TIVI sent him backאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youוְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youקַבְּלֵהוּkab/be/le/HUreceive himהוּאhuthat isמֵעַי׃me/AYmy inward parts

    Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels:

13. 13

    אֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomחָפַצְתִּיcha/FATS/tiI wantedלַעֲצֹרla/a/TSORto keepאֹתוֹo/TOhimעִמִּיim/MIwith meלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיְשָׁרְתֵנִיye/sha/re/TE/nihe might serve meתַּחְתֶּיךָtach/TE/khain your placeבְּמוֹסְרוֹתbe/mos/ROTin the bands ofהַבְּשׂוֹרָה׃hab/be/so/RAthe gospel

    Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:

14. 14

    אֲבָלa/VALbutבִּלְעֲדֵיbil/a/DEwithoutדַעְתְּךָda/te/KHAyour knowledgeלֹאlonotחָפַצְתִּיcha/FATS/tiI wantedלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doדָּבָרda/VARanythingלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatלֹאlonotתִהְיֶהtih/YEshould beטוֹבָתְךָto/va/te/KHAyour goodnessכְּמוֹke/MOasבְחׇזְקָהve/choz/KAby compulsionכִּיkibutאִם־בִּנְדָבָה׃im-bin/da/VArather willingly

    But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.

15. 15

    כִּיkiforאוּלַיu/LAYperhapsעַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeנִפְרַדnif/RADhe was partedלִזְמָןliz/MANfor a timeלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתְּקַבְּלֵהוּte/kab/be/le/HUyou may receive himלְעוֹלָם׃le/o/LAMforever

    For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever;

16. 16

    לֹאlonotעוֹדodlongerכְּעֶבֶדke/E/vedas a slaveכִּיkibutאִם־לְמַעְלָהim-le/MA/larather aboveמֵעֶבֶדme/E/vedthan a slaveאָחacha brotherיְדִידye/DIDbelovedוְיוֹתֵרve/yo/TERand moreלִיlito meוְאַףve/AFand muchכִּי־לְךָki-le/KHAmore to youגַּםgambothבַּבָּשָׂרbab/ba/SARin the fleshגַּםgamandבָּאָדוֹן׃ba/a/DONin the Lord

    Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?

17. 17

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאִם־תַּחְשְׁבֵנִיim-tach/she/ve/NIif you count meלְחָבֵרle/cha/VERa partnerתְּקַבְּלֶנּוּte/kab/be/len/NUreceive himכָּמוֹנִי׃ka/MO/nias me

    If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.

18. 18

    וְאִם־הֵרַעve/IM-he/RAand if he wrongedלְךָle/KHAyouאוֹoorיֵשׁyeshthere isלְךָle/KHAto youעָלָיוa/LAYVon himחוֹבchova debtחַשְּׁבֵהוּchash/she/ve/HUcount itעָלָי׃a/LAYto me

    If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account;

19. 19

    אֲנִיa/NIIפוֹלוֹסFo/LOSPaulכָּתַבְתִּיka/TAV/tiwroteבְיָדִיve/ya/DIwith my handאֲנִיa/NIIאֲשַׁלֵּםa/shal/LEMwill repayוְלֹאve/LOand notאֹמַרo/MARI sayלְךָle/KHAto youכִּיkithatגַם־נַפְשְׁךָgam-naf/she/KHAalso yourselfחוֹבchova debtלִיlito meעָלֶיךָ׃a/LE/khabesides

    I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides.

20. 20

    כֵּןkensoאָחִיa/CHImy brotherאֶשְׂמְחָהes/me/CHAlet me rejoiceבְךָve/KHAin youבָּאָדוֹןba/a/DONin the Lordהָנַחha/NACHrefreshלְמֵעַיle/me/AYmy inward partsבָּאָדוֹן׃ba/a/DONin the Lord

    Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.

21. 21

    בִּבְטֹחִיbiv/to/CHItrustingבְּמִשְׁמַעְתְּךָbe/mish/ma/te/KHAin your obedienceכָּתַבְתִּיka/TAV/tiI wroteאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youבְּדַעְתִּיbe/da/TIknowingכִּיkithatגַםgamalsoתַּעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEyou will doיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreמֵאֲשֶׁרme/a/SHERthanאֹמַר׃o/MARI say

    Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.

22. 22

    וְגַםve/GAMand alsoהָכֵןha/KHENprepareלִיlimeגַּםgamalsoמָלוֹןma/LONlodgingכִּיkiforמְקַוֶּהme/kav/VEI hopeאֲנִיa/NIIכִּיkithatעַל־יְדֵיal-ye/DEthroughתְּפִלּוֹתֵיכֶםte/fil/lo/te/KHEMyour prayersאֶנָּתֵןen/na/TENI will be givenלָכֶם׃la/KHEMto you

    But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.

23. 23

    אֶפַּפְרָסEp/paf/RASEpaphrasהָאָסוּרha/a/SURthe prisonerעִמִּיim/MIwith meבַּמָּשִׁיחַbam/Ma/SHI/achin the MessiahיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusשֹׁאֵלsho/ELasksלִשְׁלוֹמֶךָ׃lish/lo/ME/khaafter your peace

    There salute thee Epaphras, my fellowprisoner in Christ Jesus;

24. 24

    וּמַרְקוֹסu/Mar/KOSand Marcusוַאֲרִסְטַרְכוֹסva/A/ris/tar/KHOSand Aristarchusוְדִימָסve/Di/MASand Demasוְלוּקָסve/Lu/KASand Lucasעֹזְרַי׃oz/RAYmy helpers
