   וְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youדַּבֵּרdab/BERspeakאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhatנָאוֶהna/VEis fittingלַלֶּקַחlal/LE/kachfor the teachingהַתָּמִים׃hat/ta/MIMthe sound

   But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:

   כִּיkithatהַזְּקֵנִיםhaz/ze/ke/NIMthe old menיִהְיוּyih/YUbeנְבוֹנִיםne/vo/NIMprudentנִכְבָּדִיםnikh/ba/DIMhonoredמֹשְׁלִיםmosh/LIMrulingבְּרוּחָםbe/ru/CHAMtheir spiritתְּמִימִיםte/mi/MIMblamelessבָּאֱמוּנָהba/e/mu/NAin faithבַּחֶסֶדba/CHE/sedin charityוּבְאֹרֶךְu/ve/O/rekhand in length ofרוּחַ׃RU/achspirit

   That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

   וְכֵןve/KHENand soהַזְּקֵנוֹתhaz/ze/ke/NOTthe old womenתִּהְיֶינָהtih/YE/nalet beבְּדַרְכָּןbe/dar/KANin their conductכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasנָאוֶהna/VEis fittingלַקֹּדֶשׁlak/KO/deshfor holinessלֹאlonotמַלְשִׁינוֹתmal/shi/NOTslanderersלֹאlonotסֹבְאוֹתsov/OTgiven toיַיִןYA/yinwineלָרֹבla/ROVin abundanceמְלַמְּדוֹתme/lam/me/DOTteachers ofטוֹב׃tovgood

   The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

   לְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתְּלַמֵּדְנָהte/lam/med/NAthey may teachאֶת־הַצְּעִירוֹתet-hats/tse/i/ROTthe young womenלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beנְבוֹנוֹתne/vo/NOTprudentלֶאֱהֹבle/e/HOVto loveאֶת־בַּעֲלֵיהֶןet-ba/a/le/HENtheir husbandsלֶאֱהֹבle/e/HOVto loveאֶת־בְּנֵיהֶן׃et-be/ne/HENtheir children

   That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

   לִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beמַשְׂכִּילוֹתmas/ki/LOTsensibleטְהוֹרוֹתte/ho/ROTpureשֹׁמְרוֹתshom/ROTkeepersבַּיִתBA/yithomeטוֹבוֹתto/VOTgoodוְנִכְנָעוֹתve/nikh/na/OTand submittingלְבַעֲלֵיהֶןle/va/a/le/HENto their husbandsלְמַעַןle/MA/ansoלֹאlonotיְחֻלַּלye/chul/LALbe profanedדְּבַרde/VARthe word ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

   To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

   וְכֵןve/KHENand soהַזְהֵרhaz/HERurgeגַּםgamalsoאֶת־הַבַּחוּרִיםet-hab/ba/chu/RIMthe young menלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beנְבוֹנִים׃ne/vo/NIMprudent

   Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.

   בְּכׇל־דָּבָרbe/KHOL-da/VARin all thingsהַרְאֵהhar/Eshowאֶת־נַפְשְׁךָet-naf/she/KHAyourselfלְמוֹפֵתle/mo/FETan exampleמַעֲשִׂיםma/a/SIMworksטוֹבִיםto/VIMgoodבַּלֶּקַחbal/LE/kachby the teachingתֹּםtomintegrityכָּבוֹדka/VODdignityוָיֹשֶׁר׃va/YO/sherand uprightness

   In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,

   דָּבָרda/VARwordתָּמִיםta/MIMsoundאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹאlonotיֶאְשַׁםye/SHAMwill be guiltyלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatיֵבוֹשׁye/VOSHmay be ashamedהַמִּתְקוֹמֵםham/mit/ko/MEMthe opponentבְּאֵיןbe/ENwithoutלוֹloto himדָּבָרda/VARthingרָעraevilלְדַבֵּרle/dab/BERto sayעֲלֵיכֶם׃a/le/KHEMabout you

   Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.

   הַזְהֵרhaz/HERurgeאֶת־הָעֲבָדִיםet-ha/a/va/DIMthe servantsלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beנִכְנָעִיםnikh/na/IMsubmissiveלַאֲדֹנֵיהֶםla/a/do/ne/HEMto their mastersוְלִמְצֹאve/lim/TSOand to findחֵןchenfavorבְּעֵינֵיהֶםbe/e/ne/HEMin their eyesבַּכֹּלbak/KOLin all thingsוְלֹאve/LOnotלְהָשִׁיבle/ha/SHIVto answer backדָּבָר׃da/VARa word

   Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again;

    לֹאlonotלִמְעֹלlim/OLto stealמַעַלMA/ala trespassכִּיkibutאִם־לְהַרְאוֹתim-le/har/OTrather to showכׇּל־אֱמוּנָהkol-e/mu/NAall faithfulnessטוֹבָהto/VAgoodלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatיְפָאֲרוּye/fa/a/RUthey may adornאֶת־לֶקַחet-LE/kachthe teaching ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodמוֹשִׁיעֵנוּMo/shi/e/NUour Saviorבַּכֹּל׃bak/KOLin all things

    Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.

11. 11

    כִּיkiforנִרְאָהnir/Ahas appearedחֶסֶדCHE/sedthe grace ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodהַמֵּבִיאham/me/VIthat bringsיְשׁוּעָהye/shu/Asalvationלְכׇל־אָדָם׃le/KHOL-a/DAMto all men

    For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

12. 12

    וּמְלַמֵּדu/me/lam/MEDand teachingאֹתָנוּo/TA/nuusכִּיkithatבְּכַחֲשֵׁנוּbe/kha/cha/she/NUin our denyingבָּרֶשַׁעba/RE/shaungodlinessוּבְתַאֲוֹתu/ve/ta/a/VOTand in desiresהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldנִחְיֶהnich/YEwe may liveבִּתְבוּנָהbit/vu/NAwith understandingוּבְצֶדֶקu/ve/TSE/dekand in righteousnessוּבַחֲסִידוּתu/va/cha/si/DUTand in godlinessבָּעוֹלָםba/o/LAMin the worldהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

13. 13

    וּמְחַכִּיםu/me/chak/KIMand waitingלַתִּקְוָהlat/tik/VAfor the hopeהַמְאֻשָּׁרָהham/ush/sha/RAblessedוּלְהֵרָאוֹתu/le/he/ra/OTand the appearing ofכְּבוֹדke/VODthe glory ofהָאֵלha/ELGodהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLgreatוּמוֹשִׁיעֵנוּu/Mo/shi/e/NUand our SaviorיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃ham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiah

    Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

14. 14

    אֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoנָתַןna/TANgaveאֶת־נַפְשׁוֹet-naf/SHOhimselfבַּעֲדֵנוּba/a/DE/nufor usלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִפְדֵּנוּyif/de/NUHe might redeem usמִכׇּל־עָוֹןmik/KOL-a/VONfrom all iniquityוִיטַהֵרvi/ta/HERand purifyלוֹlofor himselfעַםama peopleסְגֻלָּהse/gul/LAtreasuredמְקַנֵּאme/kan/NEzealousלְמַעֲשִׂיםle/ma/a/SIMfor worksטוֹבִים׃to/VIMgood

    Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

15. 15

    אֶת־אֵלֶּהet-EL/lethese thingsדַּבֵּרdab/BERspeakוְהַזְהֵרve/haz/HERand urgeוְהוֹכַחve/ho/KHACHand rebukeבְּכׇל־תֹּקֶףbe/KHOL-TO/kefwith all authorityאַל־יָבוּזal-ya/VUZlet not despiseלְךָle/KHAyouאִישׁ׃isha man

    These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
