Titus 2 טִיטוֹס פרק ב׳

1. 1

   וְאַתָּהfor-youדַּבֵּרspeakאֶת־הַנָּאֶהthe-things-which-becomeלַלֶּקַחdoctrineהַבָּרִיא׃sound

   But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:

   הַזְּקֵנִיםthe-aged-menיִהְיוּbeמשְׁלִיםsoberבְּרוּחָםin-spiritוּמְכֻבָּדִיםgraveוּצְנוּעִיםtemperateוּבְרִיאִיםsoundבָּאֱמוּנָהin-faithוּבָאַהֲבָהin-charityוּבַסַּבְלָנוּת׃in-patience

   That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

   וְכֵןand-soהַזְּקֵנוֹתthe-aged-womenתְּהִיlet-beדַרְכָּןin-behaviorכַּאֲשֶׁרasנָאֲוָהbecomethלַקֹּדֶשׁholinessלֹאnotתִהְיֶינָהshall-there-beמוֹצִיאוֹתfalseדִּבָּהaccusersרָעָהnotוְלֹאand-notנְתֻנוֹתgivenלִסְבוֹא־יַיִןto-much-wineכִּיbutאִם־מְלַמְּדוֹתteachers-of-goodטוֹב׃good

   The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

   וּמְיַשְּׁרוֹתthat-they-may-teachאֶת־הַצְּעִירוֹתthe-young-womenלֶאֱהֹבto-loveאֶת־בַּעֲלֵיהֶןtheir-husbandsוְלֶאֱהֹבand-to-loveאֶת־בְּנֵיהֶן׃children-their

   That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

   וְלִהְיוֹתand-to-beצְנוּעוֹתdiscreetוּטְהֹרוֹתchasteצוֹפִיּוֹתkeepersהֲלִיכוֹתatבֵּיתָןhomeוְטֹבוֹתgoodוְנִכְנָעוֹתobedientלִפְנֵיbeforeבַעֲלֵיהֶןtheir-husbandsלְמַעַןin-order-thatאֲשֶׁרwhichלֹא־יְחֻלַּלbe-not-blasphemedדְּבַרthe-word-ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃the-God

   To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

   כָּכָהlikewiseתַּזְהִירexhortגַּםalsoאֶת־הַבַּחוּרִיםthe-young-menשֶׁיִּהְיוּto-beצְנוּעִים׃sober-minded

   Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.

7. 7

   וּבְכׇל־דָּבָרand-in-all-thingsהֱיֵהbe!אַתָּהyouלְמוֹפֵתa-patternבְּמַעֲשִׂיםof-good-worksטוֹבִיםgoodבְּהוֹרָאָהin-doctrineצְרוּפָהshewing-uncorruptnessוְנֶהְדָּרָה׃gravity

   In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,

   וּבְדָבָרand-speechבָּרִיאsoundשֶׁאֵין־בּוֹthat-cannot-beמוּםcondemnedלְמַעַןin-order-thatיֵבוֹשׁmay-be-ashamedהַמִּתְקוֹמֵםhe-of-the-contrary-partוְלֹאand-notיִמְצָאshall-findלְדַבֵּרto-speakעֲלֵיכֶםover-youרָע׃evil

   Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.

9. 9

   הָעֲבָדִיםservantsיִכָּנְעוּto-be-obedientלַאֲדֹנֵיהֶםunto-their-own-mastersוְיִתְרַצּוּand-to-please-them-wellלָהֶםto-themלְכׇל־דָּבָרin-all-thingsוְלֹאnotיַמְרוּanswering-againאֶת־דִּבְרֵיהֶם׃their-words

   Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again;

10. 10

    וְלֹא־יִמְעֲלוּnot-purloiningמַעַלaughtכִּיbutאִם־יַרְאוּshewingכׇּל־אֱמוּנָהall-goodטוֹבָהfidelityלְמַעַןin-order-thatיְפָאֲרוּthey-may-adornבַכֹּלin-all-thingsאֶת־לֶקַחthe-doctrine-ofאֱלֹהִיםGodמוֹשִׁיעֵנוּ׃our-Savior

    Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.

11. 11

    כִּיbecauseהוֹפִיעַhath-appearedחֶסֶדgraceאֱלֹהִיםGodלְהוֹשִׁיעַto-saveאֶת־כׇּל־בְּנֵיall-sons-ofהָאָדָם׃the-man

    For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

12. 12

    וּלְהַדְרִיךְteachingאֹתָנוּusלְמַעַןthatנְתַעֵבdenyingהָרֶשַׁעungodlinessוְתַאֲוֹתand-the-desires-ofהָעוֹלָםthe-worldוְנִתְהַלֵּךְwe-should-liveבָּעוֹלָםin-the-worldהַזֶּהthis-presentבִּצְנִיעוּתsoberlyוּבְצֶדֶקrighteouslyוּבַחֲסִידוּת׃and-godly

    Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

13. 13

    וּנְחַכֶּהlooking-forלַתִּקְוָהthat-hopeהַמְאַשֶּׁרֶתblessedוּלְהוֹפָעַתand-to-the-appearing-ofכְּבוֹדthe-glory-ofאֱלֹהֵינוּour-Godהַגָּדוֹלthe-greatוּמוֹשִׁיעֵנוּand-our-SaviorיֵשׁוּעַJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃the-Messiah

    Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

14. 14

    אֲשֶׁר־נָתַןwhose-was-givenאֶת־נַפְשׁוֹhis-lifeבַּעֲדֵנוּfor-usלִפְדּוֹתto-redeemאֹתָנוּusמִכׇּל־עָוֶלfrom-all-iniquityוּלְטַהֵרand-purifyלוֹhimעַםpeopleסְגֻלָּהchoiceהַזָּרִיזzealousבְּמַעֲשִׂיםin-good-worksטוֹבִים׃good

    Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

15. 15

    אֵלֶּהtheseתְדַבֵּרspeakוְתַזְהִירand-exhortוְתוֹכִיחַand-rebukeבְּחׇזְקָהwith-all-authorityוְאִישׁlet-no-manאַל־יָבוּזdespiseלָךְ׃to-you

    These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
