    לָכֵןthereforeכׇּל־בֶּן־הָאָדָםO-man-whosoeverהַדָּןthat-judgestאֵיןthere-is-noלְךָto-youהִתְנַצְּלוּתexcuseכִּיforבַדָּבָרin-the-thingאֲשֶׁרwhereinתָּדִיןyou-judgestאֶת־חֲבֵרְךָanotherתְּחַיֵּבyou-condemnestנַפְשְׁךָthyselfבַּאֲשֶׁרforאַתָּהyouהַדָּןthat-judgestתַּעֲשֶׂהdoestכְמַעֲשֵׂהוּ׃the-same-things

    Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

    וְיָדַעְנוּand-we-are-sureכִּי־מִשְׁפַּטthat-the-judgment-ofאֱלֹהִיםGodמִשְׁפַּטis-judgmentאֱמֶתof-truthעַל־עֹשֵׂיagainst-them-which-commitאֵלֶּה׃such-things

    But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.

    וְאַתָּהand-youבֶן־אָדָםO-manהַדָּןthat-judgestאֵת־אֲשֶׁר־פָּעֲלוּthem-which-doכָאֵלֶּהsuch-thingsוְאַתָּהand-youעֹשֶׂהdoestכְמַעֲשֵׂיהֶםthe-sameהֲתֹאמַרthink-youלְהִמָּלֵטto-escapeמִמִּשְׁפַּטthe-judgment-ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃God

    And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

    אוֹorתָבוּזdespisest-youלְרוֹבthe-riches-ofטוּבוֹhis-goodnessוּלְחֶמְלָתוֹand-his-forbearanceוּלְאֹרֶךְand-longsufferingרוּחוֹhisוְלֹאand-notתֵדַעknowingכִּי־טוֹבַתthat-the-goodness-ofהָאֱלֹהִיםGodמְבִיאָהleadethאֹתְךָyouלִידֵיtoתְשׁוּבָה׃repentance

    Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

    וּבִקְשִׁיbut-after-the-hardness-ofלְבָבְךָyour-heartהַמְמָאֵןthat-refusethלָשׁוּבto-repentתִּצְבֹּרtreasurest-upלְךָunto-thyselfעֶבְרָהwrathלְיוֹםagainst-the-day-ofעֶבְרַתthe-wrath-ofהָאֱלֹהִיםGodוְהִגָּלוֹתand-revelation-ofמִשְׁפַּטthe-judgment-ofצִדְקוֹ׃his-righteousness

    But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

    אֲשֶׁרwhoיְשַׁלֵּםwill-renderלְאִישׁto-every-manכְּמַעֲשֵׂהוּ׃according-to-his-deeds

    Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

  7. 7

    חַיֵּיthe-life-ofעוֹלָםeternalלַשֹּׁקְדִיםto-them-who-continueלַעֲשׂוֹתto-doהַטּוֹבwellוְשֹׁחֲרֵיand-seek-forכָבוֹדgloryוְהָדָרand-honorאֲשֶׁרwhichאֵינֶנּוּis-notעֹבֵר׃passing-away

    To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

    וְעַל־בְּנֵיbut-unto-the-children-ofהַמְּרִיcontentionוַאֲשֶׁרand-whoלֹא־שָׁמְעוּobey-notלָאֱמֶתthe-truthכִּיbutאִםratherשָׁמְעוּ־לָעַוְלָהobey-unrighteousnessעֲלֵיהֶםupon-themחֲרוֹן־אַףindignationוְחֵמָה׃and-wrath

    But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,

    צָרָהtribulationוּמְצוּקָהand-anguishעַל־כׇּל־נֶפֶשׁupon-every-soul-ofאָדָםmanעֹשֶׂהthat-doethהָרָעevilעַל־הַיְּהוּדִיof-the-Jewבַתְּחִלָּהfirstוְגַם־עַל־הַיְּוָנִי׃and-also-of-the-Gentile

    Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

    וְכָבוֹדbut-gloryוְהָדָרand-honorוְשָׁלוֹםand-peaceלְכׇל־עֹשֶׂהto-every-man-that-workethהַטּוֹבgoodלַיְּהוּדִיto-the-Jewבַתְּחִלָּהfirstוְגַםand-alsoלַיְּוָנִי׃to-the-Gentile

    But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

    כִּיforאֵיןthere-is-noמַשּׂאrespect-ofפָנִיםpersonsעִם־הָאֱלֹהִים׃with-God

    For there is no respect of persons with God.

  12. 12

    כִּיforכׇל־אֲשֶׁרas-many-asחָטְאוּhave-sinnedוְאֵיןhaving-noלָהֶםthemתּוֹרָהlawגַּםalsoבִּבְלִי־תוֹרָהwithout-lawיֹאבֵדוּshall-perishוַאֲשֶׁרand-as-many-asחָטְאוּhave-sinnedוְלָהֶםhavingתּוֹרָהlawעַל־פִּיbyהַתּוֹרָהthe-lawיִשָּׁפֵטוּ׃shall-be-judged

    For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;

    כִּיforלֹאnotשֹׁמְעֵיthe-hearers-ofהַתּוֹרָהthe-lawצַדִּיקִיםare-justלִפְנֵיbeforeהָאֱלֹהִיםGodכִּיbutאִםratherעֹשֵׂיthe-doers-ofהַתּוֹרָהthe-lawהֵםtheyיִצְדָּקוּ׃shall-be-justified

    (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

    כִּיforהַגּוֹיִםthe-Gentilesאֲשֶׁרwhichאֵין־לָהֶםhave-notתּוֹרָהthe-lawבַּעֲשׂוֹתָםdoכְּדִבְרֵיthe-things-ofהַתּוֹרָהthe-lawמֵאֲלֵיהֶםby-natureגַּם־בְּאֵיןalso-withoutתּוֹרָהlawהֵםareתּוֹרָהa-lawלְנַפְשָׁם׃unto-themselves

    For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

    בְּהַרְאוֹתָםwhich-shewמַעֲשֵׂהthe-work-ofהַתּוֹרָהthe-lawכָּתוּבwrittenעַל־לִבָּםin-their-heartsוְדַעְתָּםtheir-conscienceמְעִידָהbearing-witnessבָהֶםalsoוּמַחְשְׁבוֹתָםand-their-thoughtsבְּקִרְבָּםthe-mean-whileמְחַיְּבוֹתaccusingזֹאתoneאֶת־זֹאתanotherאוֹor-elseמְזַכּוֹת׃excusing

    Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

  16. 16

    בְּיוֹםin-the-dayאֲשֶׁרwhenיִשְׁפֹּטshall-judgeהָאֱלֹהִיםGodאֶת־כׇּל־תַּעֲלֻמוֹתall-the-secrets-ofבְּנֵיthe-sons-ofהָאָדָםmenבְּיַדbyיֵשׁוּעַJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַChristכְּפִיaccording-toבְשׂוֹרָתִי׃my-gospel

    In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

    הֵןbeholdאַתָּהyouנִקְרָאart-calledבְּשֵׁםby-the-nameיְהוּדִיa-Jewוְנִשְׁעַנְתָּand-restestעַל־הַתּוֹרָהin-the-lawוְתִתְהַלֵלand-make-your-boastבֵּאלֹהִים׃of-God

    Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God,

  18. 18

    וְיָדַעְתָּand-knowestאֶת־רְצוֹנוֹhis-willוְתָבִיןand-approvestבֵּין־טוֹבbetween-goodלָרַעand-evilבְּהַשְׂכִּילְךָbeing-instructedבַתּוֹרָה׃out-of-the-law

    And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;

    וּבָטַחְתָּand-art-confidentבְנַפְשְׁךָthyselfלִהְיוֹתto-beמוֹלִיךְa-guide-ofהַעִוְרִיםthe-blindוְאוֹרa-lightלַאֲשֶׁרof-them-whichבַּחֹשֶׁךְ׃are-in-darkness

    And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,

    אֹמֵןan-instructor-ofלְחַסְרֵיthose-void-ofלֵבunderstandingוּמוֹרֵהand-a-teacher-ofהַפְּתָאִיםbabesוְיֵשׁwhich-hastלְךָyouצוּרַתthe-form-ofהַמַּדָּעknowledgeוְהָאֱמֶתand-truthבַּתּוֹרָה׃in-the-law

    An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.

  21. 21

    וְאַתָּהyou-thereforeהֲתוֹרֶהwhich-teachestאֲחֵרִיםanotherוְנַפְשְׁךָthyselfלֹאnotתוֹרֶהteachestהֲתֹאמַרyou-that-preachestלֹאnotתִגְנֹבshould-stealוְהִנְּךָdo-youגֹנֵב׃steal

    Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?

  22. 22

    הֲתֹאמַרyou-that-sayלֹאnotתִנְאָףshould-commit-adulteryוְאַתָּהdo-youנֹאֵףcommit-adulteryתְּשַׁקֵּץyou-that-abhorrestאֶת־הָאֱלִילִיםidolsוְאַתָּהdo-youגֹּזֵלcommit-sacrilegeאֶת־הַקֳּדָשִׁים׃the-temples

    Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?

    תִּתְהַלֵּלyou-that-make-your-boastבַּתּוֹרָהof-the-lawוַתְּנַבֵּלdishonorestאֶת־הָאֱלֹהִיםGodבְּעָבְרְךָthrough-your-breakingאֶת־הַתּוֹרָה׃the-law

    Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?

  24. 24

    כִּיforבִגְלַלְכֶםthrough-youשֵׁםthe-name-ofהָאֱלֹהִיםGodמְחֻלָּלis-blasphemedבַּגּוֹיִםamong-the-Gentilesכַּכָּתוּב׃as-it-is-written

    For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.

    הֵןforהַמִּילָהcircumcisionתוֹעִילprofitethאִם־תִּשְׁמֹרif-you-keepאֶת־הַתּוֹרָהthe-lawאֲבָלbutאִם־עֹבֵרif-a-breakerאַתָּהyou-beאֶת־הַתּוֹרָהof-the-lawמִילָתְךָyour-circumcisionהָיְתָה־לְּךָis-madeלְעׇרְלָה׃uncircumcision

    For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.

    וְאִם־יִשְׁמֹרtherefore-if-keepהֶעָרֵלthe-uncircumcisionאֶת־מִשְׁפְּטֵיthe-righteousness-ofהַתּוֹרָהthe-lawהֲלֹאshall-notתֵחָשֶׁב־לוֹbe-counted-to-himעׇרְלָתוֹhis-uncircumcisionלְמִילָה׃for-circumcision

    Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?

  27. 27

    וְהֶעָרֵלand-the-uncircumcisionמִלֵּדָהwhich-is-by-natureהַמְקַיֵּםif-it-fulfilאֶת־הַתּוֹרָהthe-lawהוּאitיִשְׁפֹּטshall-judgeאֹתְךָyouאֲשֶׁר־לְךָwho-byהַכְּתָבthe-letterוְהַמִּילָהand-circumcisionוְעָבַרְתָּdost-transgressאֶת־הַתּוֹרָה׃the-law

    And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?

  28. 28

    כִּיforלֹא־הַמְצֻיָּןnot-he-that-is-outwardלְמַרְאֵהin-appearanceעֵינַיִםto-the-eyesהוּאhe-isהַיְּהוּדִיa-Jewוְלֹאneitherהָאוֹתthe-signהַנִּרְאָהwhich-is-seenבַבָּשָׂרin-the-fleshהִיאisהַמִּילָה׃circumcision

    For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

  29. 29

    כִּיbutאִם־תּוֹכוֹhe-that-is-inwardשֶׁלofאָדָםmanהוּאhe-isיְהוּדִיa-Jewוּמִילָהand-circumcisionהִיאisבַּלֵּבof-the-heartכְּפִיinהָרוּחַthe-Spiritוְלֹאand-notכְּפִיinהַכְּתָבthe-letterאֲשֶׁר־לֹאwhose...notמִבְּנֵיof-the-sons-ofאָדָםmenתְּהִלָּתוֹpraiseכִּיbutאִם־מֵאֵתofהָאֱלֹהִים׃God

    But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
