   Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

   (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)

   Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

   And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

   By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

   Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:

   To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

   First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

   For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;

    וּמִתְחַנֵּןu/mit/chan/NENand making supplicationאֲנִיa/NIIאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאַצְלִיחַats/LI/achI may succeedלָבוֹאla/VOto comeאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMto youרַק־הַפַּעַםrak-hap/PA/amnow at lastבְּחֵפֶץbe/CHE/fetsby the will ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

    Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.

    כִּיkiforכָלְתָהkha/le/TAlongsנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulלִרְאוֹתְכֶםlir/ot/KHEMto see youוּלְהַאֲצִילu/le/ha/a/TSILand to impartאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMto youמַתַּתmat/TATa gift ofרוּחַRU/achspiritלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatחַזֵּקchaz/ZEKstrengthenלִבְּכֶם׃lib/be/KHEMyour heart

    For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;

    לְהִתְנַחֵםle/hit/na/CHEMto be comfortedעִמָּכֶםim/ma/KHEMwith youאֲנִיa/NIIבֶאֱמוּנַתְכֶםve/e/mu/nat/KHEMby your faithוְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMand youבֶּאֱמוּנָתִי׃be/e/mu/na/TIby my faith

    That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

    וְלֹא־אֲכַחֵדve/LO-a/kha/CHEDand I will not hideמִכֶּםmik/KEMfrom youאַחַיa/CHAYmy brothersכִּי־פְעָמִיםki-fe/a/MIMthat timesרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyשַׂמְתִּיSAM/tiI setעַל־לִבִּיal-lib/BIon my heartלָבוֹאla/VOto comeאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMto youלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTthat there might beלִיlifor meפְרִיfe/RIfruitגַּם־בָּכֶםgam-ba/KHEMalso among youכְּמוֹke/MOasבְּיֶתֶרbe/YE/teramong the rest ofהַגּוֹיִםhag/Go/YIMthe Gentilesוְלֹא־עָלְתָהve/LO-a/le/TAand it did not succeedבְּיָדִיbe/ya/DIin my handעַד־הֵנָּה׃ad-HEN/nauntil now

    Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.

    לֹוֶהlo/VEdebtorאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIam Iלַיְּוָנִיםlay/Ye/va/NIMto the Greeksוְלַלֹּעֲזִיםve/lal/lo/a/ZIMand to the foreignersגַּםgambothלַחֲכָמִיםla/cha/kha/MIMto the wiseוְלַפְּתָאיִם׃ve/lap/pe/ta/YIMand to the unwise

    I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeנְדָבַנִיne/da/va/NImoves meלִבִּיlib/BImy heartלְהַשְׁמִיעַle/hash/MI/ato proclaimאֶת־הַבְּשׂוֹרָהet-hab/be/so/RAthe gospelגַּם־אֶתְכֶםgam-et/KHEMalso to youבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofרוֹמִי׃Ro/MIRome

    So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.

    כִּיkiforאֵינֶנִּיe/NEN/niI am notבוֹשׁvoshashamedמִבְּשׂוֹרַתmib/be/so/RATof the gospel ofהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichגְּבוּרַתge/vu/RATthe power ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodהִיאhiit isלִתְשׁוּעָהlit/shu/Afor salvationלְכׇל־הַמַּאֲמִיןle/KHOL-ham/ma/a/MINto everyone who believesלַיְּהוּדִיlay/Ye/hu/DIto the Jewרִאשׁוֹנָהri/sho/NAfirstוְגַם־לַיְּוָנִי׃ve/GAM-lay/ye/va/NIand also to the Greek

    For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

    כִּי־בָהּki-vafor in itנִגְלְתָהnig/le/TAis revealedצִדְקַתtsid/KATthe righteousness ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodמֵאֱמוּנָהme/e/mu/NAfrom faithאֶל־אֱמוּנָהel-e/mu/NAto faithכַּכָּתוּבkak/ka/TUVas it is writtenצַדִּיקtsad/DIKthe righteousבֶּאֱמוּנָהbe/e/mu/NAby faithיִחְיֶה׃yich/YEwill live

    For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

    כִּיkiforנִגְלָהnig/LAis revealedחֲרוֹןcha/RONthe wrath ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodמִן־הַשָּׁמַיִםmin-hash/sha/MA/yimfrom heavenעַלalagainstכׇּל־רִשְׁעַתkol-rish/ATall the wickedness ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofאָדָםa/DAMmanוְעַוְלָתָםve/av/la/TAMand their unrighteousnessאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיַעַצְרוּya/ats/RUhold backאֶת־הָאֱמֶתet-ha/e/METthe truthבְּעַוְלָה׃be/av/LAin unrighteousness

    For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

    יַעַןYA/anbecauseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatדַּעַתDA/atthe knowledge ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodגְּלוּיָהge/lu/YAis revealedבְקִרְבָּםve/kir/BAMamong themכִּיkiforהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodגִּלָּהgil/LAhas revealedלָהֶם׃la/HEMto them

    Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

    כִּיkiforנִסְתָּרוֹתָיוnis/ta/ro/TAYVthe invisible things of Himתִּוָּדַעְנָהtiv/va/da/NAbeing understoodבְּמַעֲשָׂיוbe/ma/a/SAYVby His worksוְתֵרָאֶינָהve/te/ra/e/NAare seenבָּרוּרba/RURclearlyגַּםgamevenגְּבוּרָתוֹge/vu/ra/TOHis mightהַנִּצְחִיתhan/nits/CHITeternalוֵאלָהוּתוֹve/la/hu/TOand His divinityמֵעֵתme/ETfrom the timeנִבְרָאniv/RAwas createdהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldעַד־אֲשֶׁרad-a/SHERso thatאֵיןenthere is noלָהֶםla/HEMto themפִּתְחוֹןpit/CHONan opening ofפֶּהpemouthלְהִתְנַצֵּל׃le/hit/nats/TSELto excuse themselves

    For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

    כִּיkiforהִכִּירוּhik/KI/ruthey knewאֶת־הָאֱלֹהִיםet-ha/e/lo/HIMGodוְלֹא־כִבְּדֻהוּve/LO-khib/be/du/HUand did not honor Himכֵאלֹהִיםkhe/lo/HIMas Godוְגַם־לֹאve/GAM-loand also notהוֹדוּho/DUdid they give thanksלוֹloto Himכִּיkibutאִם־הָלְכוּim-ha/le/KHUthey walkedאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterהַהֶבֶלha/HE/velvanityבְּמוֹעֲצוֹתֵיהֶםbe/mo/a/tso/te/HEMin their counselsוַיֶּחְשַׁךְvay/yech/SHAKHand was darkenedלִבָּםlib/BAMtheir heartהַנִּבְעָר׃han/niv/ARsenseless

    Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22. 22

    וּבְאָמְרָםu/ve/a/me/RAMand in their sayingחֲכָמִיםcha/kha/MIMwiseאֲנָחְנוּa/NACH/nuwe areהָיוּha/YUthey becameלִכְסִילִים׃likh/si/LIMfools

    Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23. 23

    וַיָּמִירוּvay/ya/MI/ruand they exchangedאֶת־כְּבוֹדet-ke/VODthe glory ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nuis notכָלֶהkha/LEperishingבִּדְמוּתbid/MUTfor the likeness ofצֶלֶםTSE/leman image ofאָדָםa/DAMmanאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהוּאhuisכָלֶהkha/LEperishingוְהוֹלֵךְve/ho/LEKHand passingצֶלֶםTSE/leman image ofכׇּל־עוֹףkol-ofevery birdוְהוֹלֵךְve/ho/LEKHand what walksעַל־אַרְבַּעal-ar/BAon fourוְרֶמֶשׂve/RE/mesand the creeping things ofהָאֲדָמָה׃ha/a/da/MAthe ground

    And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24. 24

    עַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeגַּם־הָאֱלֹהִיםgam-ha/e/lo/HIMGod alsoנְתָנָםne/ta/NAMgave themלַטֻּמְאָהlat/tum/Ato uncleannessבְּתַאֲוֹתbe/ta/a/VOTthrough the desires ofלִבָּםlib/BAMtheir heartלְנַבֵּלle/nab/BELto disgraceגְּוִיּוֹתֵיהֶםge/viy/yo/te/HEMtheir bodiesאִישׁisheachבְּרֵעֵהוּ׃be/re/E/huwith his neighbor

    Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25. 25

    אֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהֵמִירוּhe/mi/RUexchangedאֶת־אֱמֶתet-e/METthe truth ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodבַּשָּׁקֶרbash/SHA/kerfor the lieוַיְכַבְּדוּvay/khab/be/DUand honoredאֶת־הַבְּרִיָּהet-hab/be/riy/YAthe creatureלְעׇבְדָהּle/ov/DAto serve itתַּחַתTA/chatinstead ofבֹּרְאָהּBor/Aits Creatorהַמְבֹרָךְham/vo/RAKHwho is blessedלְעוֹלָמִיםle/o/la/MIMforeverאָמֵן׃a/MENamen

    Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

    בַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofזֹאתzotthisנְתָנָםne/ta/NAMgave themהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodלְתַאֲוֹתle/ta/a/VOTto passions ofבּוּשָׁהbu/SHAshameכִּי־נְשֵׁיהֶםki-ne/she/HEMfor their womenהֶחֱלִיפוּhe/che/li/FUexchangedאֶת־דֶּרֶךְet-DE/rekhthe way ofאֶרֶץE/retsnatureבַּאֲשֶׁרba/a/SHERto that whichלֹאlonotכְּדֶרֶךְke/DE/rekhaccording to the way ofאָרֶץ׃A/retsnature

    For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27. 27

    וְכֵןve/KHENand soגַּם־הַזְּכָרִיםgam-haz/ze/kha/RIMalso the malesעָזְבוּa/ze/VUleftדֶרֶךְDE/rekhthe way ofגֶּבֶרGE/vera manבְּאִשָּׁהbe/ish/SHAwith a womanוַיֵּחַמּוּvay/ye/CHAM/muand burnedזֶהzeoneבָזֶהva/ZEfor anotherבְּתַאֲוָתָםbe/ta/a/va/TAMin their desireוַיַּעֲשׂוּvay/ya/a/SUand they didתוֹעֵבָהto/e/VAabominationזָכָרza/KHARmaleעִם־זָכָרim-za/KHARwith maleוַיִּקְחוּvay/yik/CHUand receivedשְׂכַרse/KHARthe wages ofמְשׁוּבָתָםme/shu/va/TAMtheir strayingהָרָאוּיha/ra/UYthat was fittingלָהֶםla/HEMto themבְּעֶצֶםbe/E/tsemin the veryגּוּפָם׃gu/FAMtheir body

    And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

    וְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERand asמָאֲסוּma/a/SUthey rejectedדַּעַתDA/atthe knowledge ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodנְתָנָםne/ta/NAMgave themהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodבִּידֵיbi/DEinto the hands ofדֵעָהde/Aa mindנִמְאָסָהnim/a/SArejectedלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doאֵת־אֲשֶׁר־לֹאet-a/SHER-lowhat notיֵעָשֶׂה׃ye/a/SEshould be done

    And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

    וַיִּרֶבvay/YI/revand multipliedבְּקִרְבָּםbe/kir/BAMamong themכׇּל־חָמָסkol-cha/MASall violenceזְנוּתze/NUTfornicationוָרֶשַׁעva/RE/shaand wickednessבֶּצַעBE/tsagreedוָאָוֶןva/A/venand iniquityוַיִּמָּלְאוּvay/yim/ma/le/Uand they were filled withקִנְאָהkin/Aenvyוָרֶצַחva/RE/tsachand murderוּמְרִיבָהu/me/ri/VAand strifeוּמִרְמָהu/mir/MAand deceitוְתַהְפֻּכוֹתve/tah/pu/KHOTand perversitiesהֹלְכֵיhol/KHEgoers ofרָכִיל׃ra/KHILslander

    Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

    וּמְלֹשְׁנִיםu/me/losh/NIMbackbitersשֹׂנְאֵיSON/ehaters ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodוְגֵאִיםve/ge/IMand proudוְזֵדִיםve/ze/DIMand arrogantוּמִתְהֹלֲלִיםu/mit/ho/la/LIMboastersוְחֹשְׁבֵיve/chosh/VEand devisers ofאָוֶןA/veniniquityוְלֹאve/LOand notשֹׁמְעִיםshom/IMlisteningבְּקוֹלbe/KOLto the voice ofאֲבוֹתָם׃a/vo/TAMtheir fathers

    Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

    נִבְעָרִיםniv/a/RIMsenselessמִדַּעַתmid/DA/atof knowledgeוּבֹגְדִיםu/vog/DIMand treacherousאַכְזָרִיםakh/za/RIMcruelנֹטְרֵיnot/REkeepers ofשִׂנְאָהsin/Ahatredוְלֹאve/LOand notרַחֲמָנִים׃ra/cha/ma/NIMmerciful

    Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

32. 32

    יוֹדְעִיםyod/IMknowingהֵמָּהHEM/matheyאֶת־מִשְׁפַּטet-mish/PATthe judgment ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodכִּי־עֹשֵׂיki-o/SEthat doers ofאֵלֶּהEL/letheseבְּנֵי־מָוֶתbe/NE-MA/vetsons of deathהֵםhemareוְלֹאve/LOand notלְבַדle/VADonlyעֹשִׂיםo/SIMdoאֶת־אֵלֶּהet-EL/letheseכִּיkibutגַם־רוֹצִיםgam-ro/TSIMalso delightבְּעֹשֵׂיהֶם׃be/o/se/HEMin those who do them

    Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
