   אֶחָיe/CHAYmy brothersחֵפֶץCHE/fetsthe desire ofלְבָבִיle/va/VImy heartוּתְפִלָּתִיu/te/fil/la/TIand prayerלֵאלֹהִיםle/lo/HIMto Godבְּעַדbe/ADforיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאֲשֶׁרa/SHERis thatיִוָּשֵׁעוּ׃yiv/va/she/Uthey be saved

   Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

2. 2

   כִּיkiforמֵעִידme/IDtestifyאֲנִיa/NIIעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMabout themכִּיkithatקִנְאַתkin/ATwith the jealousy ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלָהֶםla/HEMthey haveאֲבָלa/VALbutלֹא־בְדָעַת׃lo-ve/DA/atnot with knowledge

   For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

   כִּיkiforאֶת־צִדְקַתet-tsid/KATthe righteousness ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלֹאlonotיָדָעוּya/DA/uthey knewוַיְבַקְשׁוּvay/vak/SHUand they soughtלְהָקִיםle/ha/KIMto establishאֶת־צִדְקָתָםet-tsid/ka/TAMtheir righteousnessוּלְצִדְקַתu/le/tsid/KATand to the righteousness ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלֹאlonotנִכְנָעוּ׃nikh/NA/udid they submit

   For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

   כִּיkiforהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahסוֹףsofis the end ofהַתּוֹרָהhat/to/RAthe lawלִצְדָקָהlits/da/KAfor righteousnessלְכׇל־הַמַּאֲמִין׃le/KHOL-ham/ma/a/MINto everyone who believes

   For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

   כִּי־מֹשֶׁהki-Mo/SHEfor Mosesכָּתַבka/TAVwroteעַל־דְּבַרal-de/VARconcerningהַצְּדָקָהhats/tse/da/KAthe righteousnessאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichמִן־הַתּוֹרָהmin-hat/to/RAof the lawאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEwill doאֹתָםo/TAMthemהָאָדָםha/a/DAMthe manוָחַיva/CHAYand liveבָּהֶם׃ba/HEMby them

   For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

   וְהַצְּדָקָהve/hats/tse/da/KAand the righteousnessאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isמִן־הָאֱמוּנָהmin-ha/e/mu/NAof faithכֹּהkothusתֹאמַרto/MARspeaksאַל־תֹּאמַרal-to/MARdo not sayבִּלְבָבְךָbil/va/ve/KHAin your heartמִי־יַעֲלֶהmi-ya/a/LEwho will go upהַשָּׁמַיְמָהhash/sha/MAY/mato the heavensהוּאhuthat isלְהוֹרִידle/ho/RIDto bring downאֶת־הַמָּשִׁיחַet-Ham/ma/SHI/achthe Messiahמִמַּעַל׃mim/MA/alfrom above

   But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

   אוֹoorמִיmiwhoיֵרֵדye/REDwill go downלִתְהוֹםlit/HOMinto the deepהוּאhuthat isלְהַעֲלוֹתle/ha/a/LOTto bring upאֶת־הַמָּשִׁיחַet-Ham/ma/SHI/achthe Messiahמִן־הַמֵּתִים׃min-ham/me/TIMfrom the dead

   Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

   אֲבָלa/VALbutמַה־תֹּאמַרma-to/MARwhat does it sayקָרוֹבka/ROVnearאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARis the wordבְּפִיךָbe/FI/khain your mouthוּבִלְבָבֶךָu/vil/va/VE/khaand in your heartהוּאhuthat isדְּבַרde/VARthe word ofהָאֱמוּנָהha/e/mu/NAfaithאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweמְבַשְּׂרִים׃me/vas/se/RIMproclaim

   But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

   כִּיkithatאִם־בְּפִיךָim-be/FI/khaif with your mouthתוֹדֶהto/DEyou confessאֶת־הָאָדוֹןet-ha/a/DONthe LordיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusוְתַאֲמִיןve/ta/a/MINand you believeבִּלְבָבְךָbil/va/ve/KHAin your heartכִּיkithatהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodהֱעִירוֹhe/i/ROraised himמִן־הַמֵּתִיםmin-ham/me/TIMfrom the deadתִּוָּשֵׁעַ׃tiv/va/SHE/ayou will be saved

   That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

    כִּיkiforבִלְבָבוֹvil/va/VOwith his heartיַאֲמִיןya/a/MINbelievesהָאָדָםha/a/DAMmanוְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand it becomesלּוֹloto himלִצְדָקָהlits/da/KAfor righteousnessוּבְפִיהוּu/ve/FI/huand with his mouthיוֹדֶהyo/DEhe confessesוְהָיְתָה־לּוֹve/ha/ye/TA-loand it becomes to himלִישׁוּעָה׃li/shu/Afor salvation

    For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

    כִּיkiforהַכָּתוּבhak/ka/TUVthe scriptureאֹמֵרo/MERsaysכׇּל־הַמַּאֲמִיןkol-ham/ma/a/MINeveryone who believesבּוֹboin himלֹאlonotיֵבוֹשׁ׃ye/VOSHwill be ashamed

    For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

12. 12

    כִּיkiforאֵיןenthere is noלְהַבְדִּילle/hav/DILdistinguishingבֵּיןbenbetweenהַיְּהוּדִיhay/Ye/hu/DIthe Jewלַיְּוָנִיlay/Ye/va/NIand the Greekכִּיkiforאָדוֹןa/DONLordאֶחָדe/CHADoneלְכֻלָּםle/khul/LAMof all of themוְהוּאve/HUand he isעָשִׁירa/SHIRrichלְכׇל־קֹרְאָיו׃le/KHOL-kor/AYVto all who call on him

    For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13. 13

    כִּי־כֹלki-kholfor everyoneאֲשֶׁר־יִקְרָאa/SHER-yik/RAwho callsבְּשֵׁםbe/SHEMon the name ofיְהוָֹהAdonaithe LORDיִוָּשֵׁעַ׃yiv/va/SHE/awill be saved

    For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

14. 14

    אֵיךְekhhowיִקְרְאוּyik/re/Uwill they callאֶל־אֲשֶׁרel-a/SHERto him whomלֹא־הֶאֱמִינוּlo-he/e/MI/nuthey have not believedבוֹvoin himוְאֵיךְve/EKHand howיַאֲמִינוּya/a/MI/nuwill they believeבַּאֲשֶׁרba/a/SHERin whomלֹאlonotשָׁמְעוּsha/me/Uthey have heardאֶת־שִׁמְעוֹet-shim/Ohis reportוְאֵיךְve/EKHand howיִשְׁמְעוּyish/me/Uwill they hearוְאֵיןve/ENand there is noמַגִּיד׃mag/GIDone telling

    How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

15. 15

    וְאֵיךְve/EKHand howיַגִּידוּyag/GI/duwill they tellכִּיkiexceptאִם־שְׁלוּחִיםim-she/lu/CHIMunless sentכַּכָּתוּבkak/ka/TUVas it is writtenמַה־נָּאווּma-na/VUhow lovely areרַגְלֵיrag/LEthe feet ofמְבַשְּׂרֵיme/vas/se/REthem that preach the gospel ofשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMpeaceוּמְבַשְּׂרֵיu/me/vas/se/REand those who bring news ofטוֹב׃tovgood

    And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

16. 16

    אֲבָלa/VALbutלֹא־כֻלָּםlo-khul/LAMnot all of themשָׁמְעוּsha/me/Ulistenedלְקוֹלle/KOLto the voice ofהַבְּשׂוֹרָהhab/be/so/RAthe gospelכִּיkiforיְשַׁעְיָהוּYe/sha/YA/huEsaiasאָמַרa/MARsaidהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONO Lordמִיmiwhoהֶאֱמִיןhe/e/MINhas believedלִשְׁמֻעָתֵנוּ׃lish/mu/a/TE/nuour report

    But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

17. 17

    לָכֵןla/KHENso thenהָאֱמוּנָהha/e/mu/NAfaithבָאָהva/Acomesמִן־הַשְּׁמוּעָהmin-hash/she/mu/Aby hearingוְהַשְּׁמוּעָהve/hash/she/mu/Aand the reportעַל־יְדֵיal-ye/DEbyדְבַר־הָאֱלֹהִים׃de/VAR-ha/e/lo/HIMthe word of God

    So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

18. 18

    וְאֹמַרve/o/MARand I sayהֲכִיha/KHIis it thatלֹאlonotשָׁמֵעוּsha/ME/uheardאׇמְנָםom/NAMindeedבְּכׇל־הָאָרֶץbe/KHOL-ha/A/retsin all the earthיָצָאya/TSAwent outקוֹלָםko/LAMtheir voiceוּבִקְצֵהu/vik/TSEand to the end ofתֵבֵלte/VELthe worldמִלֵּיהֶם׃mil/le/HEMtheir words

    But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.

19. 19

    וְאֹמַרve/o/MARand I sayהֲכִיha/KHIis it thatיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלֹאlonotיָדָעya/DAknewרִאשׁוֹןri/SHONfirstמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאָמַרa/MARsaidאֲנִיa/NIIאַקְנִיאֲכֶםak/ni/a/KHEMwill make you jealousבְּלֹא־עָםbe/LO-amwith a no-peopleבְּגוֹיbe/GOYwith a nationנָבָלna/VALfoolishאַכְעִיסְכֶם׃akh/i/se/KHEMI will provoke you

    But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.

20. 20

    וִישַׁעְיָהוּVi/sha/YA/huand Esaiasמְלָאוֹme/la/Oemboldenedלִבּוֹlib/BOhis heartלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingנִמְצֵאתִיnim/TSE/tiI was foundלְלֹאle/LOby those who did notבִקְשֻׁנִיvik/SHU/niseek Meנִגְלֵיתִיnig/LE/tidid I reveal Myselfלְלוֹאle/LOby those who did notשָׁאָלוּ׃sha/A/luask

    But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.

21. 21

    וְעַל־יִשְׂרָאֵלve/AL-yis/ra/ELand about Israelהוּאhuheאֹמֵרo/MERsaysפֵּרַשְׂתִּיpe/RAS/tiI have stretched forthיָדַיya/DAYMy handsכׇּל־הַיּוֹםkol-hay/YOMall the dayאֶל־עַםel-amto a peopleסוֹרֵרso/RERrebelliousוּמֹרֶה׃u/mo/REand defiant

    But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.
