Revelation 8 חָזוֹן יוֹחָנָן פרק ח׳

1. 1

   וּכְפִתְחוֹu/khe/fit/CHOand when he openedהַחוֹתָםha/cho/TAMthe sealהַשְּׁבִיעִיhash/she/vi/Iseventhוַתְּהִיvat/te/HIthere wasדְמָמָהde/ma/MAsilenceבַּשָּׁמַיִםbash/sha/MA/yimin heavenכַּחֲצִיka/cha/TSIabout halfשָׁעָה׃sha/Aan hour

   And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.

   וָאֵרֶאva/E/reand I sawאֶת־שִׁבְעַתet-shiv/ATthe sevenהַמַּלְאָכִיםham/mal/a/KHIMangelsהָעֹמְדִיםha/om/DIMwho standלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodוַיִּנָּתְנוּvay/yin/na/te/NUand were givenלָהֶםla/HEMto themשִׁבְעָהshiv/Asevenשׁוֹפָרוֹת׃sho/fa/ROTtrumpets

   And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.

   וַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand cameמַלְאָךְmal/AKHan angelאַחֵרa/CHERanotherוַיַּעֲמֹדvay/ya/a/MODand stoodעַל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַal-ham/miz/BE/achat the altarוּמַחְתַּתu/mach/TATand a censer ofזָהָבza/HAVgoldבְּיָדוֹbe/ya/DOin his handוַתִּנָּתֶן־לוֹvat/tin/na/TEN-loand was given to himקְטֹרֶתke/TO/retincenseהַרְבֵּהhar/BEmuchלְהַקְרִיבָהּle/hak/ri/VAto offer itעִם־תְּפִלּוֹתim-te/fil/LOTwith the prayers ofכׇּל־הַקְּדֹשִׁיםkol-hak/ke/do/SHIMall the saintsעַל־מִזְבַּחal-miz/BACHon the altar ofהַזָּהָבhaz/za/HAVgoldאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהַכִּסֵּא׃hak/kis/SEthe throne

   And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

   וַיַּעַלvay/YA/aland went upעֲשַׁןa/SHANthe smoke ofהַקְּטֹרֶתhak/ke/TO/retthe incenseעִם־תְּפִלּוֹתim-te/fil/LOTwith the prayers ofהַקְּדֹשִׁיםhak/ke/do/SHIMthe saintsמִיַּדmiy/YADfrom the hand ofהַמַּלְאָךְham/mal/AKHthe angelלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeאֱלֹהִים׃e/lo/HIMGod

   And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.

   וַיִּקַּחvay/yik/KACHand tookהַמַּלְאָךְham/mal/AKHthe angelאֶת־הַמַּחְתָּהet-ham/mach/TAthe censerוַיְמַלְאֶהָvay/mal/e/HAand filled it withאֵשׁeshfireמֵעַל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַme/AL-ham/miz/BE/achfrom on the altarוַיַּשְׁלֵךְvay/yash/LEKHand threw itאָרְצָהAR/tsainto the earthוַיְהִיvay/HIand there wereקוֹלוֹתko/LOTvoicesוּרְעָמִיםu/re/a/MIMand thundersוּבְרָקִיםu/ve/ra/KIMand lightningsוָרָעַשׁ׃va/ra/ASHand an earthquake

   And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

   וְשִׁבְעַתve/shiv/ATand the sevenהַמַּלְאָכִיםham/mal/a/KHIMangelsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoבְּיָדָםbe/ya/DAMin their handשִׁבְעַתshiv/ATthe sevenהַשּׁוֹפָרוֹתhash/sho/fa/ROTtrumpetsהִתְעַתְּדוּhit/at/te/DUmade readyלִתְקֹעַ׃lit/KO/ato blow

   And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

   וְהַמַּלְאָךְve/ham/mal/AKHand the angelהָרִאשׁוֹןha/ri/SHONfirstתָּקַעta/KAblewוַיְהִיvay/HIand there wasבָרָדva/RADhailוָאֵשׁva/ESHand fireבְּלוּלִיםbe/lu/LIMmixedבְּדָםbe/DAMwith bloodוַיֻּשְׁלְכוּvay/yush/le/KHUand they were thrownאָרְצָהAR/tsato the earthוַתִּשָּׂרֵףvat/tis/sa/REFand was burnedשְׁלִישִׁיתshe/li/SHITa third ofהָעֵצִיםha/e/TSIMthe treesוְכׇל־יֶרֶקve/KHOL-YE/rekand all greenעֵשֶׂבE/sevgrassנִשְׂרָף׃nis/RAFwas burned

   The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

   וְהַמַּלְאָךְve/ham/mal/AKHand the angelהַשֵּׁנִיhash/she/NIsecondתָּקַעta/KAblewוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdכִּדְמוּתkid/MUTlike the likeness ofהַרhara mountainגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatבֹּעֵרbo/ERburningבָּאֵשׁba/ESHwith fireהֻשְׁלַךְhush/LAKHwas thrownאֶל־תּוֹךְel-tokhintoהַיָּםhay/YAMthe seaוַתְּהִיvat/te/HIand becameשְׁלִישִׁיתshe/li/SHITa third ofהַיָּםhay/YAMthe seaלְדָם׃le/DAMblood

   And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;

   וַתָּמׇתvat/TA/motand diedשְׁלִישִׁיתshe/li/SHITa third ofכׇּל־נֶפֶשׁkol-NE/feshevery soulחַיָּהchay/YAlivingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isבַּיָּםbay/YAMin the seaוּשְׁלִישִׁיתu/she/li/SHITand a third ofהׇאֳנִיּוֹתho/o/niy/YOTthe shipsנִשְׁחָתָה׃nish/CHA/tawere destroyed

   And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

    וְהַמַּלְאָךְve/ham/mal/AKHand the angelהַשְּׁלִישִׁיhash/she/li/SHIthirdתָּקַעta/KAblewוַיִּפֹּלvay/yip/POLand fellמִן־הַשָּׁמַיִםmin-hash/sha/MA/yimfrom heavenכּוֹכָבko/KHAVa starגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatבֹּעֵרbo/ERburningכַּלַּפִּידkal/lap/PIDlike a torchוַיִּפֹּלvay/yip/POLand it fellעַל־שְׁלִישִׁיתal-she/li/SHITon a third ofהַנְּהָרוֹתhan/ne/ha/ROTthe riversוְעַל־מַעְיְנוֹתve/AL-ma/ye/NOTand on the springs ofהַמָּיִם׃ham/MA/yimwaters

    And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;

    וְשֵׁםve/SHEMand the name ofהַכּוֹכָבhak/ko/KHAVthe starנִקְרָאnik/RAis calledלַעֲנָהLa/a/NAWormwoodוַתְּהִיvat/te/HIand becameשְׁלִישִׁיתshe/li/SHITa third ofהַמַּיִםham/MA/yimthe watersלְלַעֲנָהle/la/a/NAwormwoodוְרַבִּיםve/rab/BIMand manyמִבְּנֵיmib/be/NEof the sons ofאָדָםa/DAMmenמֵתוּME/tudiedמִן־הַמַּיִםmin-ham/MA/yimof the watersכִּיkiforמָרִיםma/RIMbitterהֵם׃hemthey were

    And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

    וְהַמַּלְאָךְve/ham/mal/AKHand the angelהָרְבִיעִיha/re/vi/Ifourthתָּקַעta/KAblewוַתֻּכֶּהvat/tuk/KEand was struckשְׁלִישִׁיתshe/li/SHITa third ofהַשֶּׁמֶשׁhash/SHE/meshthe sunוּשְׁלִישִׁיתu/she/li/SHITand a third ofהַיָּרֵחַhay/ya/RE/achthe moonוּשְׁלִישִׁיתu/she/li/SHITand a third ofהַכּוֹכָבִיםhak/ko/kha/VIMthe starsלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatתֶּחְשַׁךְtech/SHAKHwas darkenedשְׁלִישִׁיתָםshe/li/shi/TAMa third of themוְהַיּוֹםve/hay/YOMand the dayלֹאlonotיָאִירya/IRdid shineשְׁלִישִׁיתוֹshe/li/shi/TOa third of itוְכֵןve/KHENand soהַלָּיְלָה׃hal/LAY/lathe night

    And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.

    וָאֵרֶאva/E/reand I sawוָאֶשְׁמַעva/esh/MAand heardמַלְאָךְmal/AKHan angelמְעוֹפֵףme/o/FEFflyingבַּחֲצִיba/cha/TSIin the middle ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimheavenאֹמֵרo/MERsayingבְּקוֹלbe/KOLwith a voiceגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatאוֹיoywoeאוֹיoywoeאוֹיoywoeלְיֹשְׁבֵיle/yosh/VEto the inhabitants ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofיֶתֶרYE/terthe rest ofקוֹלוֹתko/LOTvoicesשׁוֹפַרsho/FARthe trumpet ofשְׁלֹשֶׁתshe/LO/shetthe threeהַמַּלְאָכִיםham/mal/a/KHIMangelsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatעוֹדodyetיִתְקְעוּ׃yit/ke/Uwill blow

    And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!
