   And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.

   הֱיֵהhe/YEbeשֹׁקֵדsho/KEDwatchfulוְחַזֵּקve/chaz/ZEKand strengthenאֶת־הַשְּׁאֵרִיתet-hash/she/e/RITthe remnantהַקְּרוֹבָהhak/ke/ro/VAthat is nearלָמוּתla/MUTto dieכִּיkiforלֹא־מָצָאתִיlo-ma/TSA/tiI have not foundמַעֲשֶׂיךָma/a/SE/khayour worksשְׁלֵמִיםshe/le/MIMcompleteלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

   Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.

   Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

   יֶשׁ־לְךָyesh-le/KHAyou haveגַם־בְּסַרְדִּיסgam-Be/sar/DISeven in Sardisשֵׁמוֹתshe/MOTnamesמְעַטme/ATa fewאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoלֹאlonotגֵאֲלוּge/a/LUhave defiledאֶת־מַלְבּוּשֵׁיהֶםet-mal/bu/she/HEMtheir garmentsוְיִתְהַלְּכוּve/yit/hal/le/KHUand they will walkאִתִּיit/TIwith meלְבֻשֵׁיle/vu/SHEclothed inלְבָנִיםle/va/NIMwhiteכִּיkiforרְאוּיִםre/u/YIMworthyהֵם׃hemthey are

   Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.

   הַכֹּבֵשׁhak/ko/VESHthe one who overcomesהוּאhuheיִלְבַּשׁyil/BASHwill be clothedבְּגָדִיםbe/ga/DIMin garmentsלְבָנִיםle/va/NIMwhiteוְלֹאve/LOand notאֶמְחֶהem/CHEwill I blot outאֶת־שְׁמוֹet-she/MOhis nameמִסֵּפֶרmis/SE/ferfrom the book ofהַחַיִּיםha/chay/YIMlifeכִּיkibutאִם־אוֹדֶהim-o/DErather I will confessאֶת־שְׁמוֹet-she/MOhis nameלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeאָבִיA/VImy Fatherוְלִפְנֵיve/lif/NEand beforeמַלְאָכָיו׃mal/a/KHAYVHis angels

   He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

   He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

   וְאֶל־מַלְאַךְve/EL-mal/AKHand to the angel ofקְהִלַּתke/hil/LATthe church ofפִילָדֶלְפִיָּאFi/la/del/fiy/YAPhiladelphiaכְּתֹבke/TOVwriteכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysהַקָּדוֹשׁhak/Ka/DOSHthe Holy Oneהָאֲמִתִּיha/A/mit/TIthe True Oneאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoבְּיָדוֹbe/ya/DOhas in his handמַפְתֵּחַmaf/TE/achthe key ofדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidהַפֹּתֵחַhap/po/TE/achwho opensוְאֵיןve/ENand there is noסֹגֵרso/GERone shuttingוְסֹגֵרve/so/GERand shutsוְאֵיןve/ENand there is noפֹּתֵחַ׃po/TE/achone opening

   And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;

   יָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowאֶת־מַעֲשֶׂיךָet-ma/a/SE/khayour worksהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI have setלְפָנֶיךָle/fa/NE/khabefore youפֶּתַחPE/tacha doorפָּתוּחַpa/TU/achopenאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹא־יוּכַלlo-yu/KHALcannotאִישׁisha manלְסׇגְרוֹle/sog/ROshut itכִּיkiforכֹחַ־מְעַטKHO/ach-me/ATa little strengthלְךָle/KHAyou haveוַתִּשְׁמֹרvat/tish/MORand you have keptאֶת־דְּבָרִיet-de/va/RImy wordוְלֹאve/LOand notכִחַשְׁתָּkhi/chash/TAhave you deniedבִּשְׁמִי׃bish/MImy name

   I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

   הִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iנֹתֵןno/TENgiveאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenמִכְּנֵסֶתmik/ke/NE/setfrom the assembly ofהַשָּׂטָןHas/sa/TANSatanאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיֹאמְרוּyo/me/RUsayיְהוּדִיםYe/hu/DIMJewsאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuwe areוְאֵינָםve/e/NAMand are notכִּיkithatמְשַׁקְּרִיםme/shak/ke/RIMthey lieהֵמָּהHEM/mathey areהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iעֹשֶׂהo/SEwill makeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיָבֹאוּya/VO/uthey comeוְיִשְׁתַּחֲווּve/yish/ta/cha/VUand bow downלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeרַגְלֶיךָrag/LE/khayour feetוְיֵדְעוּve/yed/Uand they will knowכִּיkithatאֲנִיa/NIIאֲהַבְתִּיךָ׃a/hav/TI/khahave loved you

   Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

    יַעַןYA/anbecauseשָׁמַרְתָּsha/MAR/tayou have keptדְּבַרde/VARthe word ofאֹרֶךְO/rekhthe patience ofרוּחִיru/CHImy spiritגַם־אֲנִיgam-a/NII alsoאֶשְׁמׇרְךָesh/mor/KHAI will keep youמִשְּׁעַתmish/she/ATfrom the hour ofהַמַּסָּהham/mas/SAthe testingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתָּבוֹאta/VOwill comeעַל־כׇּל־הָעוֹלָםal-kol-ha/o/LAMon all the worldלִבְחֹןliv/CHONto testאֶת־יֹשְׁבֵיet-yosh/VEthe inhabitants ofהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsthe earth

    Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

11. 11

    הִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iבָאvacomeמַהֵרma/HERquicklyהַחֲזֵקha/cha/ZEKhold fastבַּאֲשֶׁרba/a/SHERwhatלְךָle/KHAyou haveלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatלֹא־יִקַּחlo-yik/KACHdoes not takeאִישׁisha manאֶת־עֲטַרְתְּךָ׃et-a/tar/te/KHAyour crown

    Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

12. 12

    הַכֹּבֵשׁhak/ko/VESHthe one who overcomesאֶתְּנֶנּוּet/te/NEN/nuI will make himלְעַמּוּדle/am/MUDa pillarבְּהֵיכַלbe/he/KHALin the temple ofאֱלֹהַיe/lo/HAYmy Godוְלֹא־יֵצֵאve/LO-ye/TSEand he will not goעוֹדodagainהַחוּצָהha/CHU/tsaoutsideוְכָתַבְתִּיve/kha/TAV/tiand I will writeעָלָיוa/LAYVupon himאֶת־שֵׁםet-shemthe name ofאֱלֹהַיe/lo/HAYmy Godוְאֶת־שֵׁםve/ET-shemand the name ofעִירirthe city ofאֱלֹהַיe/lo/HAYmy GodיְרוּשָׁלַיִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemהַחֲדָשָׁהha/cha/da/SHAnewהַיֹּרֶדֶתhay/yo/RE/detthat comes downמִן־הַשָּׁמַיִםmin-hash/sha/MA/yimout of heavenמֵעִם־אֱלֹהַיme/IM-e/lo/HAYfrom my Godוְאֶת־שְׁמִיve/ET-she/MIand my nameהֶחָדָשׁ׃he/cha/DASHnew

    Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

    מִיmiwhoeverאֲשֶׁר־אֹזֶןa/SHER-O/zenthat an earלוֹlohasיִשְׁמַעyish/MAlet him hearאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERthatהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe Spiritאֹמֵרo/MERsaysלַקְּהִלּוֹת׃lak/ke/hil/LOTto the churches

    He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

14. 14

    וְאֶל־מַלְאַךְve/EL-mal/AKHand to the angel ofקְהִלַּתke/hil/LATthe church ofהַלּוּדְקִיִּיםhal/Lud/kiy/YIMthe Laodiceansכְּתֹבke/TOVwriteכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysהָאָמֵןha/a/MENthe Amenהָעֵדha/EDthe witnessהַנֶּאֱמָןhan/ne/e/MANfaithfulוְהָאֲמִתִּיve/ha/a/mit/TIand trueרֵאשִׁיתre/SHITthe beginning ofבְּרִיאַתbe/ri/ATthe creation ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

    And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

15. 15

    יָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowאֶת־מַעֲשֶׂיךָet-ma/a/SE/khayour worksכִּיkithatלֹאlonotקַרkarcoldאַתָּהat/TAyou areוְלֹאve/LOand notחָםchamhotמִי־יִתֵּןmi-yit/TENwho would giveוְהָיִיתָve/ha/YI/taand you wereקַרkarcoldאוֹ־חָם׃o-chamor hot

    I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

16. 16

    כִּיkiforעַתָּהat/TAnowפּוֹשֵׁרpo/SHERlukewarmאַתָּהat/TAyou areוְלֹאve/LOand notקַרkarcoldוְלֹאve/LOand notחָםchamhotעַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeאֲקִיאֲךָa/ki/a/KHAI will vomit youמִפִּי׃mip/PIfrom my mouth

    So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

17. 17

    כִּיkiforאַתָּהat/TAyou areאֹמֵרo/MERsayעָשַׁרְתִּיa/SHAR/tiI have become richוּמָצָאתִיu/ma/TSA/tiand I have foundאוֹןonwealthלִיlifor myselfוְלֹאve/LOand notחָסַרְתִּיcha/sar/TIdo I lackדָּבָרda/VARanythingוְלֹאve/LOand notיָדַעְתָּya/DA/tado you knowכִּי־אֻמְלַלki-um/LALthat wretchedאַתָּהat/TAyou areוְדַוָּיve/dav/VAYand miserableוְעָנִיve/a/NIand poorוְעִוֵּרve/iv/VERand blindוְעֵרֹם׃ve/e/ROMand naked

    Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

18. 18

    אִיעָצְךָi/a/tse/KHAI counsel youלִקְנוֹתlik/NOTto buyמֵאִתִּיme/it/TIof meזָהָבza/HAVgoldצָרוּףtsa/RUFrefinedבָּאֵשׁba/ESHin the fireלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatתַּעֲשִׁירta/a/SHIRyou may be richוּבְגָדִיםu/ve/ga/DIMand garmentsלְבָנִיםle/va/NIMwhiteלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatתִּלְבַּשׁtil/BASHyou may be clothedוְלֹאve/LOand notתֵרָאֶהte/ra/EappearבֹּשֶׁתBO/shetthe shame ofעֶרְוָתְךָer/va/te/KHAyour nakednessוּמְשַׁחu/me/SHACHand anointאֶת־עֵינֶיךָet-e/NE/khayour eyesבְּקִלּוּרִיתbe/kil/lu/RITwith eyesalveלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatתִּרְאֶה׃tir/Eyou may see

    I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

19. 19

    אֲנִיa/NIIאֶת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁרet-kol-a/SHERall whomאֵהַבe/HAVI loveאוֹכִיחַo/KHI/achI reproveוַאֲיַסֵּרva/a/yas/SERand disciplineלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeקַנֵּאkan/NEbe zealousוְשׁוּבָה׃ve/shu/VAand return

    As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

20. 20

    הִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iעֹמֵדo/MEDstandבַּפֶּתַחbap/PE/tachat the doorוְדֹפֵקve/do/FEKand knockאִם־יִשְׁמַעim-yish/MAif hearsאִישׁisha manלְקוֹלִיle/ko/LImy voiceוּפָתַחu/FA/tachand opensהַפֶּתַחhap/PE/tachthe doorוּבָאתִיu/VA/tiand I will come inאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himוְאָכַלְתִּיve/a/KHAL/tiand I will eatעִמּוֹim/MOwith himוְהוּאve/HUand heעִמִּי׃im/MIwith me

    Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

21. 21

    לַכֹּבֵשׁlak/ko/VESHto the one who overcomesאֶתֵּןet/TENwill giveלָשֶׁבֶתla/SHE/vetto sitעִמִּיim/MIwith meבְּכִסְאִיbe/khis/Ion my throneכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasכָּבַשְׁתִּיka/vash/TII overcameגַם־אָנֹכִיgam-a/no/KHII alsoוָאֵשֵׁבva/e/SHEVand satעִם־אָבִיim-A/VIwith my Fatherבְּכִסְאוֹ׃be/khis/Oon His throne

    To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

22. 22

    מִיmiwhoeverאֲשֶׁר־אֹזֶןa/SHER-O/zenthat an earלוֹlohasיִשְׁמַעyish/MAlet him hearאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERthatהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe Spiritאֹמֵרo/MERsaysלַקְּהִלּוֹת׃lak/ke/hil/LOTto the churches
