   אֶל־מַלְאַךְel-mal/AKHto the angel ofקְהִלַּתke/hil/LATthe church ofאֶפְסוֹסEf/SOSEphesusכְּתֹבke/TOVwriteכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysהָאֹחֵזha/o/CHEZthe one who holdsשִׁבְעַתshiv/ATthe sevenהַכּוֹכָבִיםhak/ko/kha/VIMstarsבִּימִינוֹbi/mi/NOin his right handהַמִּתְהַלֵּךְham/mit/hal/LEKHwho walksבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midst ofשֶׁבַעSHE/vathe sevenמְנֹרוֹתme/no/ROTlampstands ofהַזָּהָב׃haz/za/HAVgold

   Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;

   יָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowאֶת־מַעֲשֶׂיךָet-ma/a/SE/khayour worksוְאֶת־עֲמָלְךָve/ET-a/ma/le/KHAand your toilוְאֶת־אֹרֶךְve/ET-O/rekhand the patience ofרוּחֲךָru/cha/KHAyour spiritוְכִיve/KHIand howלֹא־תוּכַלlo-tu/KHALyou cannotשְׂאֵתse/ETbearאֶת־הָרָעִיםet-ha/ra/IMthe evilוַתִּבְחַןvat/tiv/CHANand you testedאֶת־הָאֹמְרִיםet-ha/om/RIMthose who sayשְׁלִיחִיםshe/li/CHIMapostlesאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuwe areוְאֵינָםve/e/NAMand are notוַתִּמְצָאֵםvat/tim/tsa/EMand found themכֹּזְבִים׃koz/VIMliars

   I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:

3. 3

   וְנָשָׂאתָve/na/SA/taand have borneוְיֶשׁ־לְךָve/YESH-le/KHAand you haveאֹרֶךְO/rekhthe patience ofרוּחַRU/achspiritוּלְמַעַןu/le/MA/anand for the sake ofשְׁמִיshe/MImy nameעָמַלְתָּa/MAL/tayou have toiledוְלֹאve/LOand notיָעָפְתָּ׃ya/af/TAhave you grown weary

   And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.

   אַךְakhbutיֶשׁ־לִיyesh-liI have somewhatעָלֶיךָa/LE/khaagainst youכִּיkithatנָטַשְׁתָּna/TASH/tayou have abandonedאֶת־אַהֲבָתְךָet-a/ha/va/te/KHAyour loveהָרִאשׁוֹנָה׃ha/ri/sho/NAfirst

   Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

   זְכֹרze/KHORrememberאֵפוֹאe/FOthenמֵאַיִןme/A/yinfrom whereנָפַלְתָּna/FAL/tayou have fallenוְשׁוּבָהve/shu/VAand returnוַעֲשֵׂהva/a/SEand doאֶת־הַמַּעֲשִׂיםet-ham/ma/a/SIMthe worksהָרִאשֹׁנִיםha/ri/sho/NIMfirstוְאִם־לֹאve/IM-loand if notאָבוֹאa/VOI will comeאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youמַהֵרma/HERquicklyוַהֲסִרֹתִיva/ha/si/ro/TIand I will removeמְנוֹרָתְךָme/no/ra/te/KHAyour lampstandמִמְּקוֹמָהּmim/me/ko/MAfrom its placeאִם־לֹאim-loif notתָשׁוּב׃ta/SHUVyou return

   Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

   אֲבָלa/VALbutזֹאתzotthisלְךָle/KHAyou haveאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatשֹׂנֵאso/NEhateאַתָּהat/TAyouאֶת־מַעֲשֵׂיet-ma/a/SEthe deeds ofהַנִּיקְלָסִיםhan/Ni/ke/la/SIMthe Nicolaitansאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichשְׂנֵאתִיםse/ne/TIMI hate themגַּם־אָנִי׃gam-A/niI also

   But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

   מִיmiwhoeverאֲשֶׁר־אֹזֶןa/SHER-O/zenthat an earלוֹlohasיִשְׁמַעyish/MAlet him hearאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERthatהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe Spiritאֹמֵרo/MERsaysלַקְּהִלּוֹתlak/ke/hil/LOTto the churchesלַכֹּבֵשׁlak/ko/VESHto the one who overcomesאֶתֵּןet/TENwill giveלֶאֱכֹלle/e/KHOLto eatמֵעֵץme/ETSfrom the tree ofהַחַיִּיםha/chay/YIMlifeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midst ofגַּן־עֵדֶןgan-E/denthe paradise ofאֱלֹהִים׃e/lo/HIMGod

   He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

   וְאֶל־מַלְאַךְve/EL-mal/AKHand to the angel ofקְהִלַּתke/hil/LATthe church ofזְמִירְנָאZe/mi/re/NASmyrnaכְּתֹבke/TOVwriteכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysהָרִאשׁוֹןha/ri/SHONthe firstוְהָאַחֲרוֹןve/ha/a/cha/RONand the lastאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהָיָהha/YAwasמֵתmetdeadוְהוּאve/HUand heחָי׃chayis alive

   And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;

   יָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowאֶת־מַעֲשֶׂיךָet-ma/a/SE/khayour worksוְאֶת־צָרָתְךָve/ET-tsa/ra/te/KHAand your distressוְאֶת־רֵישְׁךָve/ET-re/she/KHAand your povertyוְאוּלָםve/u/LAMbutעָשִׁירa/SHIRrichאָתָּהAT/tayou areוְאֶת־גִּדּוּפֵיve/ET-gid/du/FEand the blasphemies ofהָאֹמְרִיםha/om/RIMthose who sayיְהוּדִיםYe/hu/DIMJewsאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuwe areוְאֵינָםve/e/NAMand are notכִּיkibutאִם־כְּנֵסֶתim-ke/NE/setrather the assembly ofהַשָּׂטָן׃Has/sa/TANSatan

   I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

    אַל־תִּירָאal-ti/RAdo not fearמִכׇּל־אֲשֶׁרmik/KOL-a/SHERof all thatתִּסְבֹּלtis/BOLyou will sufferהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהַמַּלְשִׁיןham/Mal/SHINthe Slandererיַשְׁלִיךְyash/LIKHwill throwמִכֶּםmik/KEMsome of youאֶל־בֵּיתel-betinto the house ofהַכֶּלֶאhak/KE/lethe prisonלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatתִּבָּחֲנוּtib/ba/cha/NUyou may be testedוְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand will beלָכֶםla/KHEMyouצָרָהtsa/RAdistressעֲשֶׂרֶתa/SE/rettenיָמִיםya/MIMdaysהֱיֵהhe/YEbeנֶאֱמָןne/e/MANfaithfulעַד־הַמָּוֶתad-ham/MA/vetuntil deathוְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIand I will giveלְךָle/KHAyouעֲטֶרֶתa/TE/retthe crown ofהַחַיִּים׃ha/chay/YIMlife

    Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

    מִיmiwhoeverאֲשֶׁר־אֹזֶןa/SHER-O/zenthat an earלוֹlohasיִשְׁמַעyish/MAlet him hearאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERthatהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe Spiritאֹמֵרo/MERsaysלַקְּהִלּוֹתlak/ke/hil/LOTto the churchesהַכֹּבֵשׁhak/ko/VESHthe one who overcomesלֹא־יָרֵעַlo-ya/RE/awill not be harmedלוֹlohimהַמָּוֶתham/MA/vetthe deathהַשֵּׁנִי׃hash/she/NIsecond

    He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

12. 12

    וְאֶל־מַלְאַךְve/EL-mal/AKHand to the angel ofקְהִלַּתke/hil/LATthe church ofפַּרְגְּמוֹסPar/ge/MOSPergamosכְּתֹבke/TOVwriteכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysאֲשֶׁר־לוֹa/SHER-lowho hasחֶרֶבCHE/revthe sword ofפִּיפִיּוֹתpi/fiy/YOTtwo edgesהַחַדָּה׃ha/chad/DAsharp

    And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;

    יָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowאֶת־מַעֲשֶׂיךָet-ma/a/SE/khayour worksוְאֶת־מְקוֹםve/ET-me/KOMand the place ofשִׁבְתְּךָshiv/te/KHAyour dwellingאֲשֶׁר־שָׁםa/SHER-shamwhere there isכִּסֵּאkis/SEthe throne ofהַשָּׂטָןHas/sa/TANSatanוּמַחֲזִיקu/ma/cha/ZIKand you hold fastאַתָּהat/TAyouבִּשְׁמִיbish/MIto my nameוְלֹאve/LOand notכִחַשְׁתָּkhi/chash/TAhave you deniedבֶּאֱמוּנָתִיbe/e/mu/na/TImy faithגַּם־בַּיָּמִיםgam-bay/ya/MIMeven in the daysאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoאַנְטִיפַסAn/ti/FASAntipasעֵדִיe/DImy witnessהַנֶּאֱמָןhan/ne/e/MANfaithfulאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoנֶהֱרַגne/he/RAGwas killedבְּתוֹכְכֶםbe/tokh/KHEMamong youבַּמָּקוֹםbam/ma/KOMin the placeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereהַשָּׂטָןHas/sa/TANSatanיֹשֵׁבyo/SHEVdwellsשָׁם׃shamthere

    I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

    אַךְ־מְעַטakh-me/ATbut a few thingsיֶשׁ־לִיyesh-liI haveעָלֶיךָa/LE/khaagainst youכִּיkibecauseיֶשׁ־לְךָyesh-le/KHAyou haveשָׁםshamthereמַחֲזִיקִיםma/cha/zi/KIMthose who holdבְּלֶקַחbe/LE/kachto the teaching ofבִּלְעָםBil/AMBalaamאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהוֹרָהho/RAtaughtאֶת־בָּלָקet-Ba/LAKBalacלָתֵתla/TETto putמִכְשׁוֹלmikh/SHOLa stumbling blockלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלֶאֱכֹלle/e/KHOLto eatמִזִּבְחֵיmiz/ziv/CHEof the sacrifices ofאֱלִילִיםe/li/LIMidolsוְלִזְנוֹת׃ve/liz/NOTand to commit harlotry

    But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.

15. 15

    וְכֵןve/KHENand soיֶשׁ־לְךָyesh-le/KHAyou haveגַּם־אַתָּהgam-at/TAyou alsoמַחֲזִיקִיםma/cha/zi/KIMthose who holdבְּלֶקַחbe/LE/kachto the teaching ofהַנִּיקְלָסִיםhan/Ni/ke/la/SIMthe Nicolaitansאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomשָׂנֵאתִי׃sa/NE/tiI hate

    So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.

16. 16

    שׁוּבָהshu/VAreturnוְאִם־לֹאve/IM-loand if notאָבוֹאa/VOI will comeאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youמַהֵרma/HERquicklyוְנִלְחַמְתִּיve/nil/CHAM/tiand I will fightבָםvamagainst themבְּחֶרֶבbe/CHE/revwith the sword ofפִּי׃pimy mouth

    Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

17. 17

    מִיmiwhoeverאֲשֶׁר־אֹזֶןa/SHER-O/zenthat an earלוֹlohasיִשְׁמַעyish/MAlet him hearאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERthatהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe Spiritאֹמֵרo/MERsaysלַקְּהִלּוֹתlak/ke/hil/LOTto the churchesלַכֹּבֵשׁlak/ko/VESHto the one who overcomesאֶתֵּןet/TENwill giveלֶאֱכֹלle/e/KHOLto eatמִן־הַמָּןmin-ham/MANfrom the mannaהַצָּפוּןhats/tsa/FUNthat is hiddenוְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIand will giveלוֹloto himאֶבֶןE/vena stoneלְבָנָהle/va/NAwhiteוְעַל־הָאֶבֶןve/AL-ha/E/venand on the stoneשֵׁםshema nameחָדָשׁcha/DASHnewכָּתוּבka/TUVwrittenאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאֵיןenthere is noאִישׁishmanיוֹדֵעַyo/DE/aknowsכִּי־אִםki-imexceptהַמְקַבֵּל׃ham/kab/BELthe one who receives

    He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

18. 18

    וְאֶל־מַלְאַךְve/EL-mal/AKHand to the angel ofקְהִלַּתke/hil/LATthe church ofתִּיאֲטִירָאTi/a/ti/RAThyatiraכְּתֹבke/TOVwriteכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysבֶּן־הָאֱלֹהִיםben-Ha/e/lo/HIMthe Son of Godאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoעֵינָיוe/NAYVhis eyesכְּלַבַּת־אֵשׁke/lab/BAT-eshlike a flame of fireוּמַרְגְּלוֹתָיוu/mar/ge/lo/TAYVand his feetכְּעֵין־נְחֹשֶׁתke/EN-ne/CHO/shetlike the gleam of bronzeקָלָל׃ka/LALburnished

    And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;

19. 19

    יָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowאֶת־מַעֲשֶׂיךָet-ma/a/SE/khayour worksוְאֶת־חַסְדְּךָve/ET-chas/de/KHAand your kindnessוְאֶת־עֲבוֹדָתְךָve/ET-a/vo/da/te/KHAand your serviceוְאֶת־אֱמוּנָתְךָve/ET-e/mu/na/te/KHAand your faithוְאֶת־אֹרֶךְve/ET-O/rekhand the patience ofרוּחֲךָru/cha/KHAyour spiritוְאֶת־מַעֲשֶׂיךָve/ET-ma/a/SE/khaand your worksוְהָאַחֲרוֹנִיםve/ha/a/cha/ro/NIMand the lastרַבִּיםrab/BIMare moreמִן־הָרִאשֹׁנִים׃min-ha/ri/sho/NIMthan the first

    I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.

20. 20

    אַךְ־מְעַטakh-me/ATbut a few thingsיֶשׁ־לִיyesh-liI haveעָלֶיךָa/LE/khaagainst youכִּיkithatתִתֵּןtit/TENyou allowלָאִשָּׁהla/ish/SHAthe womanאִיזֶבֶלI/ZE/velJezebelהָאֹמֶרֶתha/o/ME/retwho saysנְבִיאָהne/vi/Aa prophetessאָנֹכִיa/no/KHII amלְלַמֵּדle/lam/MEDto teachוּלְהַתְעוֹתu/le/hat/OTand to lead astrayאֶת־עֲבָדַיet-a/va/DAYmy servantsלִזְנוֹתliz/NOTto commit harlotryוְלֶאֱכֹלve/le/e/KHOLand to eatמִזִּבְחֵיmiz/ziv/CHEof the sacrifices ofאֱלִילִים׃e/li/LIMidols

    Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

21. 21

    וָאֶתֶּן־לָהּva/et/TEN-laand I gave herזְמַןze/MANtimeלָשׁוּבla/SHUVto returnמִזְּנוּתָהּmiz/ze/nu/TAfrom her harlotryוְלֹאve/LOand notשָׁבָה׃SHA/vashe returned

    And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.

22. 22

    הִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iמַפִּילmap/PILcastאֹתָהּo/TAherלְמִשְׁכָּבle/mish/KAVinto a bedוְאֶת־הַמְנָאֲפִיםve/ET-ham/na/a/FIMand those who commit adulteryעִמָּהּim/MAwith herבְּצָרָהbe/tsa/RAinto distressגְדוֹלָהge/do/LAgreatאִם־לֹאim-loif notיָשׁוּבוּya/SHU/vuthey returnמִמַּעֲשֵׂיהֶם׃mim/ma/a/se/HEMof their deeds

    Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

23. 23

    וְהָרַגְתִּיve/ha/rag/TIand I will killבַמָּוֶתvam/MA/vetwith deathבָּנֶיהָba/NE/haher childrenוְיָדְעוּve/ya/de/Uand will knowכׇל־הַקְּהִלּוֹתkhol-hak/ke/hil/LOTall the churchesכִּיkithatאֲנִיa/NII am heהוּאhuheחֹקֵרcho/KERthe one who searchesכְּלָיוֹתke/la/YOTkidneysוָלֵבva/LEVand heartוְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIand I will giveלְכׇל־אִישׁle/KHOL-ishto each manמִכֶּםmik/KEMof youכְּמַעֲשֵׂיכֶם׃ke/ma/a/se/KHEMaccording to your works

    And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

24. 24

    וַאֲלֵיכֶםva/a/le/KHEMand to youאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayוְאֶל־הַנִּשְׁאָרִיםve/EL-han/nish/a/RIMand to the restבְּתִיאֲטִירָאbe/Ti/a/ti/RAin Thyatiraכֹּלkolallאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoאֵיןennotלָהֶםla/HEMhaveהַלֶּקַחhal/LE/kachthe teachingהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand whoלֹאlonotיָדְעוּya/de/Uknowאֶת־עֲמֻקּוֹתet-a/muk/KOTthe depths ofהַשָּׂטָןHas/sa/TANSatanכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasהֵםhemtheyאֹמְרִיםom/RIMsayלֹא־אָשִׂיםlo-a/SIMI will not putעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMupon youמַשָּׂאmas/SAa burdenאַחֵר׃a/CHERother

    But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.

25. 25

    אַךְakhbutאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERthatכְּבָרke/VARalreadyלָכֶםla/KHEMto youהַחֲזִיקוּha/cha/ZI/kuhold fastבוֹvoitעַד־בֹּאִי׃ad-bo/Iuntil I come

    But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

26. 26

    וְהַכֹּבֵשׁve/hak/ko/VESHand the one who overcomesוְהַשֹּׁמֵרve/hash/sho/MERand the one who keepsאֶת־מַעֲשַׂיet-ma/a/SAYmy worksעַד־הַקֵּץad-hak/KETSuntil the endלוֹloto himאֶתֵּןet/TENwill giveשִׁלְטוֹןshil/TONauthorityעַל־הַגּוֹיִם׃al-hag/go/YIMover the nations

    And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

27. 27

    וְרָעָםve/ra/AMand he will shepherd themבְּשֵׁבֶטbe/SHE/vetwith a rod ofבַּרְזֶלbar/ZELironכִּכְלִיkikh/LIlike a vessel ofיוֹצֵרyo/TSERa potterיְנֻפָּצוּye/nup/pa/TSUthey will be dashed in piecesכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasקִבַּלְתִּיkib/bal/TII receivedגַם־אָנֹכִיgam-a/no/KHII alsoמֵאֵתme/ETfromאָבִי׃A/VImy Father

    And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

28. 28

    וְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIand I will giveלוֹlohimכּוֹכַבko/KHAVthe star ofהַבֹּקֶר׃hab/BO/kerthe morning

    And I will give him the morning star.

29. 29

    מִיmiwhoeverאֲשֶׁר־אֹזֶןa/SHER-O/zenthat an earלוֹlohasיִשְׁמַעyish/MAlet him hearאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERthatהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe Spiritאֹמֵרo/MERsaysלַקְּהִלּוֹת׃lak/ke/hil/LOTto the churches

    He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
