1. 1

   אֶל־מַלְאַךְunto-the-angel-ofקְהַלthe-church-ofאֶפְסוֹסEphesusכְּתֹבwriteכֹּהthese-thingsאָמַרsaithהָאֹחֵזhe-that-holdethבִּימִינוֹin-his-right-handשִׁבְעַתthe-sevenהַכּוֹכָבִיםstarsהַמִּתְהַלֵּךְwho-walkethבְּתוֹךְin-the-midst-ofשֶׁבַעthe-sevenמְנֹרוֹתcandlesticks-ofהַזָּהָב׃gold

   Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;

   יָדַעְתִּיI-knowאֶת־מַעֲשֶׂיךָyour-worksוְאֶת־עֲמָלְךָand-your-laborוְאֶת־סָבְלֶךָand-your-patienceוַאֲשֶׁרand-howלֹא־תוּכַלyou-can-notשְׂאֵתbearאֶת־הָרְשָׁעִיםthem-which-are-evilוַתִּבְחַןand-you-have-triedאֶת־הָאֹמְרִיםthem-which-sayשְׁלִיחִיםapostlesאֲנַחְנוּwe-areוְאֵינָםand-are-notוַתִּמְצָאֵםand-hast-found-themדֹּבְרֵיspeakers-ofשָׁקֶר׃lies

   I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:

3. 3

   וְאַתָּהand-youנָשָׂאתָhast-borneהַרְבֵּהmuchוְיֶשׁ־לְךָand-hastסַבְלָנוּתpatienceוּלְמַעַןand-for-the-sake-ofשְׁמִיmy-nameלֹאnotיָעָפְתָּ׃hast-fainted

   And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.

4. 4

   אַךְneverthelessיֶשׁ־לִיI-have-somewhatעָלֶיךָagainst-youכִּיbecauseנָטַשְׁתָּyou-have-leftאֶת־אַהֲבָתְךָyour-loveהָרִאשׁוֹנָה׃first

   Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

5. 5

   זׇכְרָהrememberאֵפוֹאthereforeאֵי־מִזֶּהfrom-whenceנָפַלְתָּyou-are-fallenוְשׁוּבָהand-repentוַעֲשֵׂהand-doכְמַעֲשֶׂיךָthe-worksהָרִאשֹׁנִיםfirstוְאִם־לֹאor-elseהִנְנִיI-willבָאcomeעָלֶיךָunto-youמַהֵרquicklyוְהָדַפְתִּיand-will-removeמְנוֹרָתְךָyour-candlestickמִמְּקוֹמָהּout-of-its-placeאִם־לֹאexceptתָשׁוּב׃you-repent

   Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

   אֲבָלbutזֹאתthisלָךְyou-haveאֲשֶׁרthatשׂנֵאhatestאַתָּהyouאֶת־מַעֲשֵׂיthe-deeds-ofהַנִּיקְלָסִיםthe-NicolaitansאֲשֶׁרwhichשְׂנֵאתִיםI-hate-themגַּם־אָנִי׃also-I

   But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

   מִיheאֲשֶׁר־אֹזֶןthat-hath-an-earלוֹhimיִשְׁמַעlet-him-hearאֵת־אֲשֶׁרwhatהָרוּחַthe-Spiritאֹמֵרsaithלַקְּהִלּוֹתunto-the-churchesהַמְנַצֵּחַto-him-that-overcomethאֶתֶּן־לוֹwill-I-give-himלֶאֱכֹלto-eatמֵעֵץof-the-tree-ofהַחַיִּיםlifeאֲשֶׁרwhich-isבְּתוֹךְin-the-midst-ofגַּן־אֱלֹהִים׃the-paradise-of-God

   He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

8. 8

   וְאֶל־מַלְאַךְand-unto-the-angel-ofקְהַלthe-church-ofזְמִירְנָאSmyrnaכְּתֹבwriteכֹּהthese-thingsאָמַרsaithהָרִאשׁוֹןthe-firstוְהָאַחֲרוֹןand-the-lastאֲשֶׁר־מֵתwhich-was-deadוַיֶּחִי׃and-is-alive

   And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;

9. 9

   יָדַעְתִּיI-knowאֶת־מַעֲשֶׂיךָyour-worksוְאֶת־צָרָתְךָand-your-tribulationוְאֶת־רֵישְׁךָand-your-povertyוְאוּלָםbutעָשִׁירrichאָתָּהyou-areוְאֶת־גִּדּוּפֵיand-the-blasphemy-ofהָאֹמְרִיםthem-which-sayיְהוּדִיםJewsאֲנַחְנוּwe-areוְאֵינָםand-are-notכִּיbutאִם־כְּנֵסֶתare-the-synagogue-ofהַשָּׂטָן׃Satan

   I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

    אַל־תִּירָאfearמִפְּנֵי־אֲשֶׁרnone-of-those-whichעָלֶיךָyou-shallלִסְבֹּלsufferהִנֵּהbeholdעָתִידshallהַמַּלְשִׁיןthe-devilלָתֵתcastמִכֶּםsome-of-youבַּמִּשְׁמָרinto-prisonלְמַעַןthatתְּנֻסּוּyou-may-be-triedוִהְיִיתֶםand-you-shall-haveבַּצָּרָהtribulationעֲשֶׂרֶתtenיָמִיםdaysהֱיֵהbe-youנֶאֱמָןfaithfulעַד־הַמָּוֶתunto-deathוְנָתַתִּיand-I-will-giveלְךָyouעֲטֶרֶתa-crown-ofהַחַיִּים׃life

    Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

11. 11

    מִיheאֲשֶׁר־אֹזֶןthat-hath-an-earלוֹhimיִשְׁמַעlet-him-hearאֵת־אֲשֶׁרwhatהָרוּחַthe-Spiritאֹמֵרsaithלַקְּהִלּוֹתunto-the-churchesהַמְנַצֵּחַhe-that-overcomethלֹאnotיִנָּזֵקshall-be-hurtבַּמָּוֶתof-the-deathהַשֵּׁנִי׃second

    He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

12. 12

    וְאֶל־מַלְאַךְand-to-the-angel-ofקְהַלthe-church-ofפַּרְגְּמוֹסPergamosכְּתֹבwriteכֹּהthese-thingsאָמַרsaithאֲשֶׁר־לוֹhe-which-hathחֶרֶבthe-sword-ofפִּיפִיּוֹתtwo-edgesהַחַדָּה׃sharp

    And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;

13. 13

    יָדַעְתִּיI-knowאֶת־מַעֲשֶׂיךָyour-worksוְאֶת־מְקוֹםand-the-place-ofשִׁבְתְּךָyour-dwellingאֲשֶׁר־שָׁםeven-whereכִּסֵּאthe-seat-ofהַשָּׂטָןSatanוַתִּדְבַּקand-you-holdest-fastבִּשְׁמִיmy-nameוְלֹאand-notשִׁקַּרְתָּhast-deniedבֶּאֱמוּנָתִיmy-faithגַּם־בִּימֵיeven-in-the-days-ofאַנְטִיפַסAntipasעֵדִיmy-witnessהַנֶּאֱמָןfaithfulאֲשֶׁרwhoנֶהֱרַגwas-slainאֶצְלְכֶםamong-youבִּמְקוֹםin-the-place-ofמוֹשַׁבthe-dwelling-ofהַשָּׂטָן׃Satan

    I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

14. 14

    אַךְ־מְעַטbut-a-few-thingsיֶשׁ־לִיI-haveעָלֶיךָagainst-youכִּי־שָׁםbecause-thereעִמְּךָwith-youאֲנָשִׁיםthemדְּבֵקִיםthat-holdבְּלֶקַחthe-doctrine-ofבִּלְעָםBalaamאֲשֶׁרwhoהוֹרָהtaughtאֶת־בָּלָקBalacלָתֵתto-castמִכְשׁוֹלa-stumblingblockלִפְנֵיbeforeבְּנֵיthe-children-ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelלֶאֱכֹלto-eatמִזִּבְחֵיthings-sacrificed-untoאֱלִילִיםidolsוְלִזְנוֹת׃and-to-commit-fornication

    But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.

15. 15

    כֵּןsoנִמְצְאוּthere-areגַּם־בְּךָalso-in-youאֲנָשִׁיםthemדְּבֵקִיםthat-holdבְּלֶקַחthe-doctrine-ofהַנִּיקְלָסִיםthe-Nicolaitansאֲשֶׁרwhichשָׂנֵאתִי׃I-hate

    So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.

16. 16

    שׁוּבָהrepentוְאִם־לֹאor-elseתָשׁוּבyou-repentאָבוֹאI-will-comeעָלֶיךָunto-youמְהֵרָהquicklyוְנִלְחַמְתִּיand-will-fightבָםagainst-themבְּחֶרֶבwith-the-sword-ofפִּי׃my-mouth

    Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

17. 17

    מִיheאֲשֶׁר־אֹזֶןthat-hath-an-earלוֹhimיִשְׁמַעlet-him-hearאֵת־אֲשֶׁרwhatהָרוּחַthe-Spiritאֹמֵרsaithלַקְּהִלּוֹתunto-the-churchesהַמְנַצֵּחַto-him-that-overcomethאַאֲכִילֶנּוּwill-I-give-to-eatמִן־הַמָּןof-the-mannaהַגָּנוּזhiddenוְנָתַתִּיand-will-giveלוֹhimאֶבֶןa-stoneלְבָנָהwhiteוְעַל־הָאֶבֶןand-in-the-stoneמְפֻתָּחwrittenשֵׁםa-nameחָדָשׁnewאֲשֶׁרwhichלֹאnoיֵדָעֶנּוּknoweth-itאִישׁmanזוּלָתִיsavingאֲשֶׁרhe-thatנִתַּןreceivethלוֹ׃it

    He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

18. 18

    וְאֶל־מַלְאַךְand-unto-the-angel-ofקְהַלthe-church-ofתִּיאֲטִירָאThyatiraכְּתֹבwriteכֹּהthese-thingsאָמַרsaithבֶּן־הָאֱלֹהִיםthe-Son-of-Godאֲשֶׁרwhoעֵינָיוhath-his-eyesכְּלַבַּת־אֵשׁlike-a-flame-of-fireוּמַרְגְּלוֹתָיוand-his-feetכְּעֵין־נְחשֶׁתlike-brassקָלָל׃fine

    And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;

19. 19

    יָדַעְתִּיI-knowאֶת־מַעֲשֶׂיךָyour-worksוְאַהֲבָתְךָand-your-charityוֶאֱמוּנָתְךָand-your-faithוַעֲבוֹדָתְךָand-your-serviceוְסָבְלֶךָand-your-patienceוַאֲשֶׁרandמַעֲשֶׂיךָyour-worksהָאַחֲרוֹנִיםthe-lastרַבִּיםare-moreמִן־הָרִאשׁוֹנִים׃than-the-first

    I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.

20. 20

    אַךְ־מְעַטnotwithstanding-a-few-thingsיֶשׁ־לִיI-haveעָלֶיךָagainst-youכִּיbecauseתַנִּיחַyou-sufferestלָאִשָּׁהthe-womanלְאִיזֶבֶלJezebelהָאֹמֶרֶתwhich-calleth-herselfנְבִיאָהa-prophetessאָנֹכִיI-amלְלַמֵּדto-teachוּלְהַתְעוֹתand-to-seduceאֶת־עֲבָדַיmy-servantsלִזְנוֹתto-commit-fornicationוְלֶאֱכֹלand-to-eatזִבְחֵיthings-sacrificed-toאֱלִילִים׃idols

    Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

21. 21

    וָאֶתֶּן־לָהּand-I-gave-herזְמַןspaceלָשׁוּבto-repentוְהִיאand-sheמֵאֲנָהrefusedלָשׁוּבto-repentמִתַּזְנוּתֶיהָ׃of-her-fornication

    And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.

22. 22

    הִנְנִיbehold-Iמַפִּילwill-castאֹתָהּherלְמִשְׁכָּבinto-a-bedוְאֶת־הַמְנָאֲפִיםand-them-that-commit-adulteryעִמָּהּwith-herבְּצָרָהinto-tribulationגְדוֹלָהgreatאִם־לֹאexceptיָשׁוּבוּthey-repentמִמַּעֲשֵׂיהֶם׃of-their-deeds

    Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

23. 23

    וְהָרַגְתִּיand-I-will-killבַמָוֶתwith-deathבָּנֶיהָher-childrenוְיָדְעוּand-shall-knowכׇל־הַקְּהִלּוֹתall-the-churchesכִּיthatאֲנִיI-am-heחֹקֵרwhich-searchethכְּלָיוֹתthe-reinsוָלֵבand-heartsוְנָתַתִּיand-I-will-giveלָכֶםunto-youלְאִישׁevery-oneכִּפְרִיaccording-to-the-fruit-ofמַעֲלָלָיו׃his-works

    And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

24. 24

    וְאַתֶּםbut-unto-youשְׁאָרthe-restהַנִּמְצְאִיםwho-areבְּתִיאֲטִירָאin-Thyatiraכֹּלas-many-asאֲשֶׁר־אֵיןthat-have-notלָהֶםunto-themהַלֶּקַחthe-doctrineהַהוּאthisוְלֹאand-notיָדְעוּhave-knownאֶת־עֲמֻקּוֹתthe-depths-ofהַשָּׂטָןSatanכַּאֲשֶׁרasהֵםtheyמִתְהַלֲלִיםspeakלָכֶםunto-youאֲנִיIאֹמֵרsayלֹא־אָשִׂיםI-will-put-noעֲלֵיכֶםupon-youמַשָּׂאburdenאַחֵר׃other

    But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.

25. 25

    אֶפֶסbutמַה־שֶּׁיֵּשׁthat-whichלָכֶםyou-haveבּוֹalreadyהַחֲזִיקוּhold-fastעַד־בֹּאִי׃till-I-come

    But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

26. 26

    וְהַמְנַצֵּחַand-he-that-overcomethוְשֹׁמֵרand-keepethאֶת־מַעֲשַׂיmy-worksעַד־עֵתunto-theקֵץendאֶתֶּן־לוֹwill-I-give-himשׇׁלְטָןpowerעַל־הַגּוֹיִם׃over-the-nations

    And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

27. 27

    וְרָעָםand-he-shall-rule-themבְּשֵׁבֶטwith-a-rod-ofבַּרְזֶלironכִּכְלִיas-the-vessels-ofיוֹצֵרa-potterיְנֻפָּצוּshall-they-be-brokenכַּאֲשֶׁרeven-asקִבַּלְתִּיI-receivedגַם־אָנֹכִיalso-Iמֵאֵתofאָבִי׃my-Father

    And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

28. 28

    וְנָתַתִּיand-I-will-giveלוֹhimכּוֹכַבthe-star-ofהַשָּׁחַר׃the-morning

    And I will give him the morning star.

29. 29

    מִיheאֲשֶׁר־אֹזֶןthat-hath-an-earלוֹhimיִשְׁמַעlet-him-hearאֵת־אֲשֶׁרwhatהָרוּחַthe-Spiritאֹמֵרsaithלַקְּהִלּוֹת׃unto-the-churches

    He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
