   And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

   וַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand he calledבְּחׇזְקָהbe/choz/KAwith strengthבְּקוֹלbe/KOLwith a voiceעֹזozstrongלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingנָפְלָהna/fe/LAis fallenנָפְלָהna/fe/LAis fallenבָּבֶלBa/VELBabylonהַגְּדוֹלָהhag/ge/do/LAgreatוַתְּהִיvat/te/HIand has becomeנְוֵהne/VEthe dwelling ofשְׂעִירִיםse/i/RIMsatyrsוּמִשְׁמָרu/mish/MARand a prisonלְכׇל־רוּחַle/KHOL-RU/achfor every spiritטָמֵאta/MEuncleanוּכְלוּבu/khe/LUVand a cage ofלְכׇל־עוֹףle/KHOL-offor every birdטָמֵאta/MEuncleanוְשָׂנוּא׃ve/sa/NUand hateful

   And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

   כִּיkiforמִיֵּיןmiy/YENfrom the wine ofחֲמַתcha/MATthe wrath ofזְנוּתָהּze/nu/TAher harlotryשָׁתוּSHA/tuhave drunkכׇּל־הַגּוֹיִםkol-hag/go/YIMall the nationsוּמַלְכֵיu/mal/KHEand the kings ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthזָנוּza/NUcommitted harlotryאִתָּהּit/TAwith herוְסֹחֲרֵיve/so/cha/REand the merchants ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthמִשִּׁפְעַתmish/shif/ATfrom the abundance ofתַּעֲנֻגֶיהָta/a/nu/GE/haher luxuriesהֶעֱשִׁירוּ׃he/e/shi/RUhave grown rich

   For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

   וָאֶשְׁמַעva/esh/MAand I heardקוֹלkola voiceאַחֵרa/CHERanotherמִן־הַשָּׁמַיִםmin-hash/sha/MA/yimfrom heavenאֹמֵרo/MERsayingצְאוּtse/Ugo outמִמֶּנָּהmim/MEN/nafrom herעַמִּיam/MImy peopleפֶּן־תִּהְיוּpen-tih/YUlest you beחֲבֵרִיםcha/ve/RIMcompanionsלְחַטֹּאתֶיהָle/chat/to/TE/haof her sinsוּפֶן־תִּקְחוּu/FEN-tik/CHUand lest you takeמִמַּכּוֹתֶיהָ׃mim/mak/ko/TE/haby her plagues

   And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

   כִּי־חַטֹּאתֶיהָki-chat/to/TE/hafor her sinsהִגִּיעוּhig/GI/uhave reachedעַד־לַשָּׁמָיִםad-lash/sha/MA/yimup to heavenוַיִּזְכֹּרvay/yiz/KORand has rememberedאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶת־עֲוֹנוֹתֶיהָ׃et-a/vo/no/te/HAher iniquities

   For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

6. 6

   גְּמֹלוּge/mo/LUrepayלָהּlato herכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasגָּמְלָהga/me/LAshe repaidלָכֶםla/KHEMyouוְכִפְלוּve/khif/LUand doubleלָהּlato herכִּפְלַיִםkif/LA/yimdoubleכְּמַעֲשֶׂיהָke/ma/a/SE/haaccording to her worksבַּכּוֹסbak/KOSin the cupאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatמִלְּאָהmil/le/Ashe has filledמַלְּאוּmal/le/Ufillלָהּlato herכִּפְלָיִם׃kif/LA/yimdouble

   Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.

   כַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasהִתְכַּבְּדָהhit/kab/be/DAshe has glorified herselfוְהִתְעַנְּגָהve/hit/an/ne/GAand lived in luxuryכֵּןkensoתְּנוּ־לָהּte/NU-lagive herכְּאֵבke/EVpainוְיָגוֹןve/ya/GONand sorrowכִּיkiforאֹמֶרֶתo/ME/retsayingבִּלְבָבָהּbil/va/VAin her heartיֹשֶׁבֶתyo/SHE/vetsitאֲנִיa/NIIמַלְכָּהmal/KAa queenוְאַלְמָנָהve/al/ma/NAand widowלֹאlonotאָנִיA/niIוְיָגוֹןve/ya/GONand sorrowלֹאlonoאֶרְאֶה׃er/Ewill I see

   How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

   עַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin a dayאֶחָדe/CHADoneתָּבֹאנָהta/VO/nawill comeמַכּוֹתֶיהָmak/ko/TE/haher plaguesמָוֶתMA/vetdeathוְאֵבֶלve/E/veland mourningוְרָעָבve/ra/AVand famineוְשָׂרֹףve/sa/ROFand burnתִּשָּׂרֵףtis/sa/REFshe will be burnedבָּאֵשׁba/ESHwith fireכִּיkiforחָזָקcha/ZAKstrong isהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe Lordאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodהַשֹּׁפֵטhash/sho/FETwho judgesאֹתָהּ׃o/TAher

   Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

   וּמַלְכֵיu/mal/KHEand the kings ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoזָנוּza/NUcommitted harlotryוְהִתְעַנְּגוּve/hit/an/ne/GUand lived in luxuryאִתָּהּit/TAwith herיִבְכּוּyiv/KUwill weepאֹתָהּo/TAherוְיִסְפְּדוּve/yis/pe/DUand will mournעָלֶיהָa/LE/haover herכִּיkiwhenיִרְאוּyir/Uthey seeאֶת־עֲשַׁןet-a/SHANthe smoke ofשְׂרֵפָתָהּ׃se/re/fa/TAher burning

   And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,

    עֹמְדִיםom/DIMstandingמֵרָחוֹקme/ra/CHOKfrom afarמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofיִרְאַתyir/ATthe fear ofכְּאֵבָהּke/e/VAher painלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingהוֹיhoyalasהוֹיhoyalasהָעִירha/IRthe cityהַגְּדוֹלָהhag/ge/do/LAgreatבָּבֶלBa/VELBabylonהָעִירha/IRthe cityהַחֲזָקָהha/cha/za/KAstrongכִּיkiforבְשָׁעָהve/sha/Ain an hourאַחַתa/CHAToneבָּאbahas comeמִשְׁפָּטֵךְ׃mish/pa/TEKHyour judgment

    Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

    וְסֹחֲרֵיve/so/cha/REand the merchants ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthבֹּכִיםbo/KHIMweepוּמִתְאַבְּלִיםu/mit/ab/be/LIMand mournעָלֶיהָa/LE/haover herכִּיkiforאֵיןennoאִישׁisha manקֹנֶהko/NEbuysעוֹדodagainאֶת־סַחְרָם׃et-sach/RAMtheir merchandise

    And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:

12. 12

    סַחַרSA/charthe merchandise ofזָהָבza/HAVgoldוָכֶסֶףva/KHE/sefand silverוְאֶבֶןve/E/venand stoneיְקָרָהye/ka/RApreciousוּפְנִינִיםu/fe/ni/NIMand pearlsוְשֵׁשׁve/SHESHand fine linenוְאַרְגָּמָןve/ar/ga/MANand purpleוּמֶשִׁיu/ME/shiand silkוְשָׁנִיve/sha/NIand scarletוְכׇל־עֲצֵיve/KHOL-a/TSEand all wood ofבֹשֶׂםVO/semfragranceוְכׇל־כְּלֵיve/KHOL-ke/LEand every vessel ofשֶׁנְהַבִּיםshen/hab/BIMivoryוְכׇל־כְּלֵיve/KHOL-ke/LEand every vessel ofעֵץetswoodיָקָרya/KARpreciousוּנְחֹשֶׁתu/ne/CHO/shetand bronzeוּבַרְזֶלu/var/ZELand ironוָשָׁיִשׁ׃va/sha/YISHand marble

    The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,

13. 13

    וְקִנָּמוֹןve/kin/na/MONand cinnamonוּקְטֹרֶתu/ke/TO/retand incenseוּמִרְקַחַתu/mir/KA/chatand ointmentsוּלְבוֹנָהu/le/vo/NAand frankincenseוְיַיִןve/YA/yinand wineוָשֶׁמֶןva/SHE/menand oilוְסֹלֶתve/SO/letand fine flourוְחִטִּיםve/chit/TIMand wheatוּבְהֵמָהu/ve/he/MAand cattleוָצֹאןva/TSONand sheepוְסוּסִיםve/su/SIMand horsesוּמַרְכָּבוֹתu/mar/ka/VOTand chariotsוַעֲבָדִיםva/a/va/DIMand slavesוְנֶפֶשׁve/NE/feshand souls ofאָדָם׃a/DAMmen

    And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.

14. 14

    וּפְרִיu/fe/RIand the fruitאַוַּתav/VATthe desire ofנַפְשֵׁךְnaf/SHEKHyour soulאָזְלוּa/ze/LUhave goneמִמֵּךְmim/MEKHfrom youוְכׇל־הַמַּעֲדַנִּיםve/KHOL-ham/ma/a/dan/NIMand all the delicaciesוְהֶהָדָרve/he/ha/DARand the splendorאָזְלוּa/ze/LUhave goneמִמֵּךְmim/MEKHfrom youוְלֹאve/LOand notתִמְצְאִיtim/tse/Iyou will findאֹתָםo/TAMthemעוֹד׃odagain

    And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all.

15. 15

    סֹחֲרֵיso/cha/REthe merchants ofאֵלֶּהEL/letheseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהֶעֱשִׁירוּhe/e/shi/RUgrew richמִמֶּנָּהmim/MEN/nafrom herיַעַמְדוּya/am/DUwill standמֵרָחוֹקme/ra/CHOKfrom afarמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofיִרְאַתyir/ATthe fear ofכְּאֵבָהּke/e/VAher painבֹּכִיםbo/KHIMweepingוְסֹפְדִים׃ve/sof/DIMand mourning

    The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,

16. 16

    וְאֹמְרִיםve/om/RIMand sayingהוֹיhoyalasהוֹיhoyalasהָעִירha/IRthe cityהַגְּדוֹלָהhag/ge/do/LAgreatהַלְּבוּשָׁהhal/le/vu/SHAthat was clothed inשֵׁשׁsheshfine linenוְאַרְגָּמָןve/ar/ga/MANand purpleוְשָׁנִיve/sha/NIand scarletוַעֲדוּיָהva/a/du/YAand adorned withזָהָבza/HAVgoldוְאֶבֶןve/E/venand stoneיְקָרָהye/ka/RApreciousוּפְנִינִים׃u/fe/ni/NIMand pearls

    And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!

17. 17

    כִּיkiforבְשָׁעָהve/sha/Ain an hourאַחַתa/CHAToneהָיָהha/YAhas comeלְאַיִןle/A/yinto nothingעֹשֶׁרO/sherwealthרַבravgreatכָּזֶהka/ZEsuchוְכׇל־רַבve/KHOL-ravand everyחֹבֵלcho/VELshipmasterוְכׇל־הַקָּהָלve/KHOL-hak/ka/HALand all the companyבָּאֳנִיּוֹתba/o/niy/YOTin shipsוְהַמַּלָּחִיםve/ham/mal/la/CHIMand the marinersוְכׇל־עֹשֵׂיve/KHOL-o/SEand all who doמְלָאכָהme/la/KHAworkבַּיָּםbay/YAMon the seaעָמְדוּa/me/DUstoodמֵרָחוֹק׃me/ra/CHOKfrom afar

    For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,

18. 18

    וַיִּצְעֲקוּvay/yits/a/KUand they cried outבִּרְאֹתָםbir/o/TAMwhen they sawעֲשַׁןa/SHANthe smoke ofשְׂרֵפָתָהּse/re/fa/TAher burningוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidמִיmiwhoבֶעָרִיםve/a/RIMamong the citiesכָּעִירka/IRis like the cityהַגְּדוֹלָהhag/ge/do/LAgreatהַזֹּאת׃haz/ZOTthis

    And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!

19. 19

    וַיִּזְרְקוּvay/yiz/re/KUand they threwעָפָרa/FARdustעַל־רָאשֵׁיהֶםal-ra/she/HEMon their headsוַיִּצְעֲקוּvay/yits/a/KUand cried outבֹּכִיםbo/KHIMweepingוְסֹפְדִיםve/sof/DIMand mourningלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingהוֹיhoyalasהוֹיhoyalasהָעִירha/IRthe cityהַגְּדוֹלָהhag/ge/do/LAgreatאֲשֶׁר־בָּהּa/SHER-bain whichהֶעֱשִׁירוּhe/e/shi/RUgrew richכֹּלkolallאֲשֶׁר־לָהֶםa/SHER-la/HEMwho haveאֳנִיּוֹתo/niy/YOTshipsבַּיָּםbay/YAMin the seaמִיִּקְרָהּmiy/yik/RAfrom her costlinessכִּיkiforבְשָׁעָהve/sha/Ain an hourאַחַתa/CHAToneהׇחֳרָבָה׃ho/cho/ra/VAshe has been laid waste

    And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

    שִׂמְחוּsim/CHUrejoiceעָלֶיהָa/LE/haover herשָׁמַיִםsha/MA/yimO heavensוְהַשְּׁלִיחִיםve/hash/she/li/CHIMand apostlesהַקְּדֹשִׁיםhak/ke/do/SHIMholyוְהַנְּבִיאִיםve/han/ne/vi/IMand prophetsכִּיkiforנָקַםna/KAMhas avengedאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodנִקְמַתְכֶםnik/mat/KHEMyour vengeanceמִמֶּנָּה׃mim/MEN/naon her

    Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.

21. 21

    וַיִּשָּׂאvay/yis/SAand liftedמַלְאָךְmal/AKHan angelאַבִּירab/BIRmightyאֶבֶןE/vena stoneכְּאֶבֶןke/E/venlike a stoneרֵחַיִםre/CHA/yimof the millגְּדוֹלָהge/do/LAgreatוַיַּשְׁלִיכֶהָvay/yash/li/khe/HAand threw itאֶל־תּוֹךְel-tokhintoהַיָּםhay/YAMthe seaלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingכָּכָהKA/khasoבְּחֹזֶקbe/CHO/zekwith forceתֻּשְׁלַךְtush/LAKHwill be thrownבָּבֶלBa/VELBabylonהָעִירha/IRthe cityהַגְּדוֹלָהhag/ge/do/LAgreatוְלֹאve/LOand notתִמָּצֵאtim/ma/TSEwill be foundעוֹד׃odagain

    And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

22. 22

    וְקוֹלve/KOLand the sound ofתֹּפְשֵׂיtof/SEthose who handleכִנּוֹרkhin/NORthe harpוְהַמְזַמְּרִיםve/ham/zam/me/RIMand the singersוְהַמְחַלְּלִיםve/ham/chal/le/LIMand the pipersוְהַמַּחְצְרִיםve/ham/mach/tse/RIMand the trumpetersלֹאlonoיִשָּׁמַעyish/sha/MAwill be heardבָּךְbakhin youעוֹדodagainוְכׇל־חָרָשׁve/KHOL-cha/RASHand every craftsmanמִכׇּל־מְלָאכָהmik/KOL-me/la/KHAof any craftלֹאlonoיִמָּצֵאyim/ma/TSEwill be foundבָּךְbakhin youעוֹדodagainוְקוֹלve/KOLand the sound ofרֵחַיִםre/CHA/yimmillstonesלֹאlonoיִשָּׁמַעyish/sha/MAwill be heardבָּךְbakhin youעוֹד׃odagain

    And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;

23. 23

    וְאוֹרve/ORand the light ofנֵרnera lampלֹאlonoיָאִירya/IRwill shineבָּךְbakhin youעוֹדodagainוְקוֹלve/KOLand the voice ofחָתָןcha/TANthe bridegroomוְקוֹלve/KOLand the voice ofכַּלָּהkal/LAthe brideלֹאlonoיִשָּׁמַעyish/sha/MAwill be heardבָּךְbakhin youעוֹדodagainכִּיkiforסֹחֲרַיִךְso/cha/RA/yikhyour merchantsהָיוּha/YUwereגְּדוֹלֵיge/do/LEthe great ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthכִּיkiforבִכְשָׁפַיִךְvikh/sha/FA/yikhby your sorceriesנִשְּׁאוּnish/she/Uwere deceivedכׇל־הַגּוֹיִם׃khol-hag/go/YIMall the nations

    And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.

24. 24

    וּבָהּu/VAand in herנִמְצָאnim/TSAwas foundדַּםdamthe blood ofהַנְּבִיאִיםhan/ne/vi/IMthe prophetsוְהַקְּדֹשִׁיםve/hak/ke/do/SHIMand the saintsוְכׇל־הֲרוּגֵיve/KHOL-ha/ru/GEand all the slain ofאָרֶץ׃A/retsthe earth

    And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.
