   וָאֶעֱמֹדva/e/e/MODand I stoodעַל־חוֹלal-cholon the sand ofהַיָּםhay/YAMthe seaוָאֵרֶאva/E/reand I sawחַיָּהchay/YAa beastעֹלָהo/LAcoming upמִן־הַיָּםmin-hay/YAMout of the seaוְלָהּve/LAand it hadשִׁבְעָהshiv/Asevenרָאשִׁיםra/SHIMheadsוְעֶשֶׂרve/E/serand tenקְרָנַיִםke/ra/NA/yimhornsוְעַל־קַרְנֶיהָve/AL-kar/ne/HAand on its hornsעֲשָׂרָהa/sa/RAtenכְתָרִיםkhe/ta/RIMdiademsוְעַל־רָאשֶׁיהָve/AL-ra/SHE/haand on its headsשֵׁםshemthe name ofגִּדּוּף׃gid/DUFblasphemy

   And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

   וְהַחַיָּהve/ha/chay/YAand the beastאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatרָאִיתִיra/I/tiI sawדָּמְתָהda/me/TAwas likeלְנָמֵרle/na/MERto a leopardוְרַגְלֶיהָve/rag/LE/haand its feetכְּרַגְלֵיke/rag/LElike the feet ofדֹבdova bearוּפִיהָu/FI/haand its mouthכְּפִיke/FIlike the mouth ofאַרְיֵהar/YEa lionוַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand gaveלָהּlato itהַתַּנִּיןhat/tan/NINthe dragonאֶת־גְּבוּרָתוֹet-ge/vu/ra/TOhis mightוְאֶת־כִּסְאוֹve/ET-kis/Oand his throneוְשִׁלְטוֹןve/shil/TONand authorityגָּדוֹל׃ga/DOLgreat

   And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

   וָאֵרֶאva/E/reand I sawאַחַדa/CHADoneמֵרָאשֶׁיהָme/ra/SHE/haof its headsכְּמֻכֶּהke/muk/KEas it were woundedלָמוּתla/MUTto dieוּמַכַּתu/mak/KATand the wound ofמוֹתָהּmo/TAits deathנִרְפָּאָהnir/pa/Awas healedוַתִּתְמַהּvat/tit/MAand wonderedכׇּל־הָאָרֶץkol-ha/A/retsall the earthאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterהַחַיָּה׃ha/chay/YAthe beast

   And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

   וַיִּשְׁתַּחֲווּvay/yish/ta/cha/VUand they bowed down toלַתַּנִּיןlat/tan/NINthe dragonאֲשֶׁר־נָתַןa/SHER-na/TANthat gaveשִׁלְטוֹןshil/TONauthorityלַחַיָּהla/chay/YAto the beastוַיִּשְׁתַּחֲווּvay/yish/ta/cha/VUand they bowed down toלַחַיָּהla/chay/YAthe beastלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingמִיmiwhoכַּחַיָּהka/chay/YAlike the beastוּמִיu/MIand whoיוּכַלyu/KHALcanלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto makeעִמָּהּim/MAwith itמִלְחָמָה׃mil/cha/MAwar

   And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

   וַיִּנָּתֶןvay/yin/NA/tenand was givenלָהּlato itפֶּהpea mouthמְמַלֵּלme/mal/LELspeakingגְּדֹלוֹתge/do/LOTgreat thingsוְגִדּוּפִיםve/gid/du/FIMand blasphemiesוְשִׁלְטוֹןve/shil/TONand authorityנִתַּן־לָהּnit/TAN-lawas given to itלַעֲמֹדla/a/MODto continueאַרְבָּעִיםar/ba/IMfortyוּשְׁנַיִםu/she/NA/yimand twoחֹדֶשׁ׃CHO/deshmonth

   And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

   וַתִּפְתַּחvat/tif/TACHand it openedאֶת־פִּיהָet-PI/haits mouthבְּגִדּוּפִיםbe/gid/du/FIMin blasphemyאֶל־הָאֱלֹהִיםel-ha/e/lo/HIMagainst Godלְגַדֵּףle/gad/DEFto blasphemeאֶת־שְׁמוֹet-she/MOHis nameוְאֶת־מִשְׁכָּנוֹve/ET-mish/ka/NOand His tabernacleוְאֶת־הַשֹּׁכְנִיםve/ET-hash/shokh/NIMand those who dwellבַּשָּׁמָיִם׃bash/sha/MA/yimin heaven

   And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

   וַיִּנָּתֶןvay/yin/NA/tenand it was givenלָהּlato itלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto makeמִלְחָמָהmil/cha/MAwarעִם־הַקְּדֹשִׁיםim-hak/ke/do/SHIMwith the saintsוְלִכְבֹּשׁve/likh/BOSHand to overcomeאֹתָםo/TAMthemוַיִּנָּתֵןvay/yin/na/TENand was givenלָהּlato itשִׁלְטוֹןshil/TONauthorityעַל־כׇּל־מִשְׁפָּחָהal-kol-mish/pa/CHAover every familyוְלָשׁוֹןve/la/SHONand tongueוָגוֹי׃va/GOYand nation

   And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

8. 8

   וְיִשְׁתַּחֲווּve/yish/ta/cha/VUand will bow downלָהּlato itכׇּל־יֹשְׁבֵיkol-yosh/VEall the inhabitants ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoseלֹא־נִכְתְּבוּlo-nikh/te/VUare not writtenשְׁמוֹתָםshe/mo/TAMtheir namesבְּסֵפֶרbe/SE/ferin the book ofהַחַיִּיםha/chay/YIMlifeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat belongsלַשֶּׂהlas/SEto the Lambהַטָּבוּחַhat/ta/VU/achslaughteredמִיְּסוֹדmiy/ye/SODfrom the foundation ofהָעוֹלָם׃ha/o/LAMthe world

   And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

9. 9

   אִם־יֵשׁim-yeshif there isלְאִישׁle/ISHto any manאֹזֶןO/zenan earיִשְׁמָע׃yish/MAlet him hear

   If any man have an ear, let him hear.

10. 10

    הַמּוֹלִיךְham/mo/LIKHthe one who leadsבַּשֶּׁבִיbash/SHE/viinto captivityבַּשֶּׁבִיbash/SHE/viinto captivityיֵלֵךְye/LEKHwill goוְהַהֹרֵגve/ha/ho/REGand the one who killsבַּחֶרֶבba/CHE/revwith the swordהָרֹגha/ROGkillיֵהָרֵגye/ha/REGhe will be killedבֶּחָרֶבbe/CHA/revwith the swordפֹּהpohere isאֹרֶךְO/rekhthe patience ofהָרוּחַha/RU/achspiritוְהָאֱמוּנָהve/ha/e/mu/NAand the faithאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat areלַקְּדֹשִׁים׃lak/ke/do/SHIMof the saints

    He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

    וָאֵרֶאva/E/reand I sawחַיָּהchay/YAa beastאַחֶרֶתa/CHE/retotherעֹלָהo/LAcoming upמִן־הָאָרֶץmin-ha/A/retsfrom the earthוְלָהּve/LAand it hadשְׁתֵּיshtetwoקְרָנַיִםke/ra/NA/yimhornsכְּקַרְנֵיke/kar/NElike the horns ofשֶׂהsea lambוַתְּדַבֵּרvat/te/dab/BERand it spokeכַּתַּנִּין׃kat/tan/NINlike the dragon

    And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

12. 12

    וְהִיאve/HIand itעֹשָׂהo/SAexercisesאֶת־כׇּל־שִׁלְטוֹןet-kol-shil/TONall the authority ofהַחַיָּהha/chay/YAthe beastהָרִאשׁוֹנָהha/ri/sho/NAfirstלְפָנֶיהָle/fa/NE/habefore itוּמְבִיאָהu/me/vi/Aand bringsאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe earthוְאֶת־יֹשְׁבֶיהָve/ET-yosh/VE/haand its inhabitantsלְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֹתle/hish/ta/cha/VOTto bow downלַחַיָּהla/chay/YAthe beastהָרִאשׁוֹנָהha/ri/sho/NAfirstאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoseנִרְפְּאָהnir/pe/Awas healedמַכַּתmak/KATthe wound ofמוֹתָהּ׃mo/TAits death

    And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

13. 13

    וְעֹשָׂהve/o/SAand it doesמוֹפְתִיםmof/TIMwondersגְּדֹלִיםge/do/LIMgreatעַדadso thatאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatתּוֹרִידto/RIDit brings downאֵשׁeshfireמִן־הַשָּׁמַיִםmin-hash/sha/MA/yimfrom heavenאַרְצָהAR/tsato the earthלְעֵינֵיle/e/NEbefore the eyes ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofאָדָם׃a/DAMmen

    And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

14. 14

    וּמַשִּׁיאָהu/mash/shi/Aand deceivesאֶת־יֹשְׁבֵיet-yosh/VEthe inhabitants ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthבַּמּוֹפְתִיםbam/mof/TIMby the wondersאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatנִתַּן־לָהּnit/TAN-lawere given itלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doבִּפְנֵיbif/NEbeforeהַחַיָּהha/chay/YAthe beastבְּאָמְרָהּbe/a/me/RAsayingאֶל־יֹשְׁבֵיel-yosh/VEto the inhabitants ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto makeצֶלֶםTSE/leman imageלַחַיָּהla/chay/YAfor the beastאֲשֶׁר־הֻכְּתָהa/SHER-huk/ke/TAthat was struck withמַכַּת־חֶרֶבmak/KAT-CHE/revthe wound of a swordוַתֶּחִי׃vat/te/CHIand lived

    And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

15. 15

    וַיִּנָּתֶן־לָהּvay/yin/NA/ten-laand it was given itלָתֵתla/TETto giveרוּחַRU/achbreathבְּצֶלֶםbe/TSE/lemto the image ofהַחַיָּהha/chay/YAthe beastלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatיְדַבֵּרye/dab/BERwould speakצֶלֶםTSE/lemthe image ofהַחַיָּהha/chay/YAthe beastוְיַעֲשֶׂהve/ya/a/SEand causeכִּיkithatכׇּל־אֲשֶׁרkol-a/SHERwhoeverלֹאlowould notיִשְׁתַּחֲווּyish/ta/cha/VUbow downלְצֶלֶםle/TSE/lemthe image ofהַחַיָּהha/chay/YAthe beastיֵהָרֵגוּ׃ye/ha/re/GUwould be killed

    And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

16. 16

    וְעֹשָׂהve/o/SAand it causesאֶת־כֻּלָּםet-kul/LAMall of themהַקְּטַנִּיםhak/ke/tan/NIMthe smallעִם־הַגְּדֹלִיםim-hag/ge/do/LIMwith the greatהָעֲשִׁירִיםha/a/shi/RIMthe richוְהָאֶבְיוֹנִיםve/ha/ev/yo/NIMand the poorהַחׇפְשִׁיםha/chof/SHIMthe freeוְהָעֲבָדִיםve/ha/a/va/DIMand the slavesכִּיkithatיִנָּתֵןyin/na/TENwill be givenלָהֶםla/HEMto themתָּוtava markעַל־יַדal-yadon the hand ofיְמִינָםye/mi/NAMtheir rightאוֹoorעַל־מִצְחוֹתָם׃al-mits/cho/TAMon their foreheads

    And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

17. 17

    וּלְבִלְתִּיu/le/vil/TIand so that notיוּכַלyu/KHALcouldאִישׁisha manלִקְנוֹתlik/NOTbuyאוֹoorלִמְכֹּרlim/KORsellכִּיkibutאִם־אֲשֶׁרim-a/SHERone whoלוֹlohasהַתָּוhat/TAVthe markאוֹoorשֵׁםshemthe name ofהַחַיָּהha/chay/YAthe beastאוֹoorמִסְפַּרmis/PARthe number ofשְׁמָהּ׃she/MAits name

    And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18. 18

    פֹּהpohere isהַחׇכְמָהha/chokh/MAthe wisdomאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoeverלוֹlohasבִינָהvi/NAunderstandingיְחַשֵּׁבye/chash/SHEVlet him reckonאֶת־מִסְפַּרet-mis/PARthe number ofהַחַיָּהha/chay/YAthe beastכִּיkiforמִסְפַּרmis/PARthe number ofאָדָםa/DAMa manהוּאhuit isוּמִסְפָּרוֹu/mis/pa/ROand his numberשֵׁשׁsheshsixמֵאוֹתme/OThundredשִׁשִּׁיםshish/SHIMsixtyוָשֵׁשׁ׃va/SHESHand six

    Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
