    וָאֱהִיand-I-wasעֹמֵדstandingעַל־חוֹלupon-the-sand-ofהַיָּםthe-seaוָאֵרֶאand-I-sawחַיָּהa-beastעֹלָהrise-upמִן־הַיָּםout-of-the-seaוְלָהּhavingעֶשֶׂרtenקְרָנַיִםhornsוְשִׁבְעָהand-sevenרָאשִׁיםheadsוּבְקַרְנֶיהָand-upon-his-hornsעֲשָׂרָהtenכְתָרִיםcrownsוּבְרָאשֶׁיהָand-upon-his-headsשְׁמוֹתthe-names-ofגִּדּוּפִים׃blasphemy

    And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

    וְהַחַיָּהand-the-beastאֲשֶׁרwhichרָאִיתִיI-sawמַרְאֶהָits-appearanceכְּמַרְאֵהwas-likeהַנָּמֵרa-leopardוְרַגְלֶיהָand-his-feetרַגְלֵיthe-feet-ofדֹבa-bearוּפִיהָand-his-mouthפִּיthe-mouth-ofאַרְיֵהa-lionוַיִּתֶּן־לָהּand-gave-himהַתַּנִּיןthe-dragonאֶת־כֹּחוֹhis-powerוְאֶת־כִּסְאוֹand-his-seatוּמִמְשָׁלand-authorityרָב׃great

    And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

    וָאֵרֶאand-I-sawוְהִנֵּהand-beholdאֶחָדoneמֵרָאשֶׁיהָof-his-headsכְּפָצוּעַas-it-were-woundedפֶּצַעa-woundלָמוּתto-deathוּמַכַּתand-the-wound-ofמָוֶתdeathאֲשֶׁר־לָהּwhich-he-hadנִרְפָּאָהwas-healedוַתִּשְׁתּוֹמֵםand-wonderedכׇּל־הָאָרֶץall-the-worldאַחֲרֵיafterהַחַיָּה׃the-beast

    And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

    וַיִּשְׁתַּחֲווּand-they-worshipedלַתַּנִּיןthe-dragonאֲשֶׁר־נָתַןwhich-gaveמֶמְשָׁלָהpowerלַחַיָּהunto-the-beastוַיִּשְׁתַּחֲווּand-they-worshipedלַחַיָּהthe-beastוַיֹּאמְרוּsayingמִיwhoיִדְמֶהis-likeלַחַיָּהunto-the-beastוּמִיand-whoיוּכַלis-ableלְהִלָּחֵםto-make-warאִתָּהּ׃with-him

    And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

    וַיִּנָּתֶןand-there-was-givenלָהּunto-himפֶּהa-mouthמְמַלֵּלspeakingגְּדֹלוֹתgreat-thingsוְנֶאָצוֹתand-blasphemiesוְשׇׁלְטָןand-powerנִתַּן־לָהּwas-given-unto-himלַעֲשׂוֹתto-makeמִלְחָמָהwarאַרְבָּעִיםfortyוּשְׁנַיִםand-twoחֳדָשִׁים׃months

    And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

    וַתִּפְתַּחand-he-openedאֶת־פִּיהָhis-mouthלְנַאֵץin-blasphemy-againstאֶת־הָאֱלֹהִיםGodוַתְּנַאֵץto-blasphemeאֶת־שְׁמוֹhis-nameוְאֶת־מִשְׁכָּנוֹand-his-tabernacleוְאֶת־הַשֹּׁכְנִיםand-them-that-dwellבַּשָּׁמָיִם׃in-heaven

    And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

    וַיִּנָּתֶןand-it-was-givenלָהּunto-himלַעֲשׂוֹתto-makeמִלְחָמָהwarעִם־הַקְּדֹשִׁיםwith-the-saintsוּלְנַצְּחָםand-to-overcome-themוַתִּנָּתֶןand-was-givenלָהּhimמֶמְשָׁלָהpowerעַל־כׇּל־מִשְׁפָּחָהover-all-kindredsוָעָםand-peopleוְלָשׁוֹןand-tongueוָגוֹי׃and-nation

    And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

    וְיִשְׁתַּחֲווּand-shall-worshipלָהּhimכׇּל־יֹשְׁבֵיall-that-dwell-inהָאָרֶץthe-earthאֲשֶׁרwhoseלֹא־נִכְתְּבוּare-not-writtenשְׁמוֹתָםnamesבְּסֵפֶרin-the-book-ofהַחַיִּיםlifeאֲשֶׁרofלַשֶׂהthe-Lambהַטָּבוּחַslainמִיּוֹםfromהִוָּסֵדthe-foundation-ofתֵּבֵל׃the-world

    And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

  9. 9

    כׇּל־אֲשֶׁרif-any-manאֹזֶןan-earלוֹhaveיִשְׁמָע׃let-him-hear

    If any man have an ear, let him hear.

  10. 10

    הַמּוֹלִיךְhe-that-leadethשְׁבִיinto-captivityיֵלֵךְshall-goבַּשֶּׁבִיinto-captivityוְהַהֹרֵגhe-that-killethבַּחֶרֶבwith-the-swordהָרֹגmust-surelyיֵהָרֵגbe-killedבֶּחָרֶבwith-the-swordבָּזֹאתhere-isסַבְלָנוּתthe-patienceוֶאֱמוּנַתand-the-faith-ofהַקְּדֹשִׁים׃the-saints

    He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

    וָאֵרֶאand-I-beheldחַיָּהa-beastאַחֶרֶתanotherעֹלָהcoming-upמִן־הָאֲדָמָהout-of-the-earthוְלָהּand-he-hadשְׁתֵּיtwoקְרָנַיִםhornsכְּקַרְנֵיlike-the-horns-ofהַשֶׂהa-lambוּמְדַבֶּרֶתand-he-spakeכַּתַּנִּין׃as-a-dragon

    And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

    וְהִיאand-heעֹשָׂהexercisethכׇּל־פִּקּוּדֵיall-the-power-ofהַחַיָּהthe-beastהָרִאשׁוֹנָהfirstבְּפָנֶיהָbefore-himוּמְבִיאָהand-causethאֶת־הָאָרֶץthe-earthוְישְׁבֶיהָand-them-which-dwell-thereinלְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֹתto-worshipלַחַיָּהthe-beastהָרִאשׁוֹנָהfirstאֲשֶׁר־נִרְפְּאָהwhose-was-healedמַכַּתthe-wound-ofמָוֶתdeathאֲשֶׁר־לָהּ׃which-he-had

    And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

    וְנֹתֶנֶתand-he-doethאוֹתוֹתwondersגְּדֹלוֹתgreatוְגַם־אֵשׁand-also-fireמִן־הַשָּׁמַיִםfrom-heavenתּוֹרִידhe-maketh-come-downאַרְצָהon-the-earthלְעֵינֵיin-the-sight-ofבְּנֵיthe-sons-ofאָדָם׃men

    And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

  14. 14

    וּמַתְעָהand-deceivethאֶת־יֹשְׁבֵיthem-that-dwell-inהָאָרֶץthe-earthבָּאוֹתוֹתby-the-miraclesאֲשֶׁרwhichנִתַּן־לָהּhe-had-powerלַעֲשׂוֹתto-doבִּפְנֵיin-the-sight-ofהַחַיָּהthe-beastבְּאָמְרָהּsayingאֶל־יֹשְׁבֵיto-them-that-dwell-inהָאָרֶץthe-earthלַעֲשׂוֹתthat-they-should-makeצֶלֶםan-imageלַחַיָּהto-the-beastאֲשֶׁר־הֻכְּתָהwhich-hadמַכַּת־חֶרֶבthe-wound-by-a-swordוַתֶּחִי׃and-did-live

    And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

    וַיִּנָּתֶן־לָהּand-he-had-powerלָתֵתto-giveרוּחַlifeבְּצֶלֶםunto-the-image-ofהַחַיָּהthe-beastעַד־כִּיthatיְדַבֵּרshould-speakצֶלֶםthe-image-ofהַחַיָּהthe-beastוְכֹלand-allאֲשֶׁר־לֹאwho-would-notיִשְׁתַּחֲווּworshipלְצֶלֶםthe-image-ofהַחַיָּהthe-beastתַּסְגִּירֵםshould-be-deliveredלַמָּוֶת׃to-death

    And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

  16. 16

    וַתַּעַשׂand-he-causethאֶת־אֲשֶׁרthatכֻּלָּםallלְמִקָּטֹןboth-smallוְעַד־גָּדוֹלand-greatאִם־אֶבְיוֹןwhether-poorוְאִם־עָשִׁירor-richגַּם־בְּנֵיboth-the-sons-ofהַחֹרִיםthe-freemenגַּם־הָעֲבָדִיםand-the-bondmenיַתְווּthat-they-should-receiveתָוa-markעַל־יַדin-handיְמִינָםtheir-rightאוֹorעַל־מִצְחֹתָם׃in-their-foreheads

    And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

  17. 17

    וְלֹא־יוּכַלand-that-not-mightאִישׁany-manלִקְנוֹתbuyאוֹorלִמְכֹּרsellכִּיsaveאִם־בִּהְיוֹתhe-that-hadעָלָיוupon-himתָּוthe-markהַחַיָּהof-the-beastאוֹorשְׁמָהּits-nameאוֹ־מִסְפַּרor-the-number-ofשְׁמָהּ׃its-name

    And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

  18. 18

    בָּזֹאתhere-isחׇכְמָהwisdomמִיwhoשֶׁבִּינָהthat-hath-understandingלוֹhathיְחַשֵּׁבlet-him-countמִסְפַּרthe-number-ofהַחַיָּהthe-beastכִּיforמִסְפַּרthe-number-ofאָדָםa-manהוּאit-isוּמִסְפָּרוֹand-his-numberשֵׁשׁsixמֵאוֹתhundredוְשִׁשִּׁיםand-threescoreוָשֵׁשׁ׃and-six

    Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
