1. 1

   עַל־כֵּןthereforeאַחַיmy-brothersהַחֲבִיבִיםthe-beloved-onesוְהַנֶּחְמָדִיםand-longed-forשִׂמְחָתִיmy-joyוַעֲטֶרֶתand-a crown ofרֹאשִׁיmy-headעִמְדוּ־נָאstand-I-prayכֵןthusבַּאֲדֹנֵינוּin-the-Lordחֲבִיבָי׃my-beloved

   Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.

2. 2

   אֶת־אַבְהוֹדִיָּהEuodiaאֲנִיIמַזְהִירbeseechוְאֶת־סוּנְטִיכִיand-SyntycheאֲנִיIמַזְהִירbeseechלִהְיוֹתto-beלֵב־אֶחָדof-the-same-mindבַּאֲדֹנֵינוּ׃in-the-Lord

   I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.

3. 3

   וְאַתָּהfor-youחֲבֵרִיmy-companionsהַנִּצְמָד־לִיthe-who-is-joined-to-meבֶאֱמֶתin-truthאַף־מִמְּךָyea-from-youאֲנִיIמְבַקֵּשׁbeseechלִהְיוֹתto-beלְעֵזֶרhelpלְאֹתָםto-themשֶׁיָּגְעוּwho-laboredעִמָּדִיwith-meעַל־הַבְּשׂוֹרָהupon-the-gospelעִם־קְלִימִיסwith-Clementוְעִם־שְׁאָרand-with-the-remnant-ofתֹּמְכַיmy-fellow-workersאֲשֶׁרwhichשְׁמוֹתָםtheir-namesיַחַדtogetherבְּסֵפֶרin-a-bookהַחַיִּים׃the-life

   And I entreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.

4. 4

   שִׂמְחוּrejoiceבַאֲדֹנֵינוּin-our-Lordבְּכׇל־עֵתwith-all-timeוְעוֹדand-againהַפַּעַםagainאֹמֵרsayאֲנִיIשְׂמָחוּ׃rejoice

   Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

5. 5

   עַנְוַתthe-moderation-ofרוּחֲכֶםyour-spiritתִּוָּדַעlet-be-knownלְכׇל־אִישׁto-all-man-ofקָרֹבat-handהוּאisהָאָדוֹן׃the-Lord

   Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

6. 6

   אַל־תִּדְאָגוּbe-not-anxiousכִּיbecauseאִם־בִּתְפִלָּהif-in-prayerוּבְתַחֲנוּנִיםand-supplicationעִם־תּוֹדָהwith-thanksgivingתָּבֹאנָהlet-comeמִשְׁאֲלוֹתֵיכֶםyour-requestsלְכׇל־דָּבָרto-all-thingsלִפְנֵיbeforeאֱלֹהֵינוּ׃our-God

   Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7. 7

   וּשְׁלוֹםand-the-peace-ofאֱלֹהִיםGodהַנַּעֲלֶהwhich-passethעַל־כׇּל־שֵׂכֶלall-understandingיִנְצֹרshall-keepאֶת־לְבַבְכֶםyour-heartsוְאֶת־מַחְשְׁבוֹתֵיכֶםand-your-thoughtsבַּמָּשִׁיחַin-the-Messiahיֵשׁוּעַ׃Jesus

   And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

8. 8

   סוֹףfinallyדָּבָרthe-matterאַחַיmy-brothersכׇּל־אֲשֶׁרwhatsoeverהוּאareאֱמֶתtrueוְנִכְבָּדand-honorableוְיָשָׁרand-uprightוְטָהוֹרand-pureוְנָעִיםand-lovelyוַאֲשֶׁרand-whomשׇׁמְעוֹits-reportטוֹבgoodכׇּל־מַעֲשֵׂהall-work-ofצֶדֶקrighteousnessכׇּל־מַעֲשֵׂהall-work-ofשֶׁבַחpraiseעַל־אֵלֶּהupon-theseתָּשִׂימוּyou-shall-layלְבַבְכֶם׃your-hearts

   Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

   אֲשֶׁרwhichלְמַדְתֶּםyou-have-learnedוְקִבַּלְתֶּםand-have-receivedוּשְׁמַעְתֶּםand-heardוּרְאִיתֶםand-you-sawבִּיin-meאֶת־אֵלֶּהtheseתַעֲשׂוּdoוֵאלֹהֵיand-God-ofהַשָּׁלוֹםthe-peaceיִהְיֶהshall-beעִמָּכֶם׃with-you

   Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

    וַאֲנִיand-IשָׂמַחְתִּיI-rejoicedמְאֹדexceedinglyבַּאֲדֹנֵינוּin-the-Lordכִּי־עַתָּהbecause-nowהַפַּעַםat-lastהֶחֱלַפְתֶּםyou-have-revivedכֹּחַstrengthלְהַשְׁגִּיחַto-care-forעָלָיupon-meוְגַם־מַשְׁגִּיחִיםand-also-carefulהֱיִיתֶםyou-wereעַד־כֹּהbutאֶלָּאbut-ratherשֶׁלּא־עָלְתָהthat-not-it-aroseבְיֶדְכֶם׃in-your-hands

    But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.

11. 11

    וְלֹאand-notמִמַּחְסוֹרfrom-lackאֲדַבֵּרI-speakכֵּןthusכִּיbecauseלָמַדְתִּיI-learnedלְהִסְתַּפֵּקto-be-contentבְּמַה־שֶּׁיֵּשׁin-what-there-isלִי׃to-me

    Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

12. 12

    יֹדֵעַI-knowאֲנִיIלַעֲמֹדto-standבְּעֹנִיin-povertyוְיֹדֵעַand-I-knowאֲנִיIלְהוֹתִירto-aboundמֻרְגָּלI-am-instructedאֲנִיIלְכׇל־דָּבָרto-all-thingsוְאוֹפָןand-in-all-thingsהֵןyeaלִשְׂבֹּעַto-be-fullהֵןyeaלִרְעֹבto-hungerהֵןyeaלַעֲמֹדto-standבְּשֶׁפַעin-abundanceהֵןyeaלַחֲסֹר׃to-suffer-need

    I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

13. 13

    אֶת־כֹּלall-thingsאוּכַלI-can-doבְּעֶזְרַתthroughהַמָּשִׁיחַthe-Messiahהַנּוֹתֵןwho-givethלִיto-meכֹּחַ׃power

    I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

14. 14

    אֲבָלbutהֵיטַבְתֶּםyou-did-wellלַעֲשׂוֹתto-doבְּהִתְחַבֶּרְכֶםin-your-sharingאֵלַיto-meבְּצָרָתִי׃in-my-distress

    Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.

15. 15

    וְיֹדְעִיםand-you-knowגַּם־אַתֶּםalso-youפִילִיפִּיִּיםPhilippiansשֶׁבְּרֵאשִׁיתthat-in-the-beginning-ofהַבְּשׂוֹרָהthe-gospelכְּצֵאתִיwhen-I-departedמִמַּקְדּוֹנְיָאfrom-Macedoniaלֹא־הִתְחַבְּרָהdid-not-shareלִיto-meאַחַתoneמִן־הַקְּהִלּוֹתfrom-the-churchesלְמַשָׂאconcerning-givingוּמַתָּןand-receivingכִּיbecauseאִם־אַתֶּםif-you-areבִּלְבָד׃alone

    Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.

16. 16

    כִּי־גַםbecause-alsoבְּתַסְלוֹנִיקִיin-Thessalonicaשְׁלַחְתֶּםyou-sentלִיto-meאֶת־צְרָכָיfor-my-needפַּעַםonceוּשְׁתָּיִם׃and-again

    For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.

17. 17

    לֹאnotשֶׁאֲבַקֵּשׁthat-I-desireאֶת־הַמַּתָּןthe-giftאֶלָּאbut-ratherאֲבַקֵּשׁI-desireהַפְּרִיthe-fruitאֲשֶׁר־יִרְבֶּהthat-may-aboundבְּחֶשְׁבֹּנְכֶם׃to-your-account

    Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

18. 18

    וַאֲנִיand-IקִבַּלְתִּיI-receivedאֶת־הַכֹּלallוְיֶשׁ־לִיand-haveדַּיenoughוְהוֹתֵרand-aboundוַאֲנִיand-IנִמְלֵאתִיI-am-fullבְּקַבְּלִיin-my-receivingמִידֵיfrom-the-hands-ofאֶפַּפְרוֹדִיטוֹסEpaphroditusאֶת־כֹּלallאֲשֶׁר־שְׁלַחְתֶּםwhose-you-sentרֵיחַsmellנִיחֹחַof-a-sweet-smellזֶבַחa-sacrificeעָרֵבacceptableוְרָצוּיwellpleasingלֵאלֹהִים׃God

    But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.

19. 19

    וֵאלֹהַיand-my-Godהוּאheיְמַלֵּאshall-supplyאֶת־כׇּל־צָרְכְּכֶםall-your-needsכְּעשֶׁרaccording-to-the-riches-ofכְּבוֹדוֹHis-gloryבַּמָּשִׁיחַin-the-Messiahיֵשׁוּעַ׃Jesus

    But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

20. 20

    וְלֵאלֹהִיםand-Godאָבִינוּour-fatherהַכָּבוֹדbe-gloryלְעוֹלְמֵיforeverעוֹלָמִיםeverlastingאָמֵן׃amen

    Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

21. 21

    שַׁאֲלוּgreetלִשְׁלוֹםfor-the-welfare-ofכׇּל־קָדוֹשׁevery-saintבַּמָּשִׁיחַin-the-MessiahיֵשׁוּעַJesusהָאַחִיםthe-brethrenאֲשֶׁרwhichעִמִּיwith-meשֹׁאֲלִיםaskingלִשְׁלוֹמְכֶם׃for-your-peace

    Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.

22. 22

    כׇּל־הַקְּדוֹשִׁיםall-the-saintsשֹׁאֲלִיםaskingלִשְׁלוֹמְכֶםfor-your-peaceוּבְיוֹתֵרand-in-moreשֶׁל־בֵּיתof-house-ofקֵיסָר׃Caesar

    All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Cæsar's household.

23. 23

    חֶסֶדthe-grace-ofיֵשׁוּעַJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַthe-Messiahאֲדֹנֵינוּour-Lordעִםwithרוּחֲכֶםyour-spiritאָמֵן׃amen

    The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
