    Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:

    חֶסֶדgraceלָכֶםto-youוְשָׁלוֹםand-peaceמֵאֵתfromהָאֱלֹהִיםthe-Godאָבִינוּour-fatherוַאֲדֹנֵינוּand-lord-ourיֵשׁוּעַJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃the-Messiah

    Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

    אוֹדֶהI-thankלֵאלֹהָיof-my-GodמִדֵּיwheneverזָכְרִיI-rememberאֶתְכֶם׃you

    I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,

  4. 4

    וְתָמִידand-continuallyבְּכׇל־תְּפִלּוֹתַיin-all-my-prayersאֶתְחַנֵּןI-beseechבְּשִׂמְחָהwith-joyבְּעַדthroughכֻּלְּכֶם׃all-you

    Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,

    עַל־הִתְחַבְּרוּתְכֶםfor-your-partnershipאֶל־הַבְּשׂוֹרָהto-the-gospelלְמִן־הַיּוֹםfrom-the-dayהָרִאשׁוֹןthe-firstוְעַד־הֵנָּה׃and-unto-hither

    For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;

    וּבָטוּחַand-confidentאֲנִיIבַּמַּתְחִילin-the-one-who-beganבָּכֶםin-youהַמַּעֲשֶׂהthe-workהַטּוֹבthe-goodשֶׁגַּם־יִגְמְרֶנּוּthat-also-He-will-complete-itעַד־יוֹםuntil-the-day-ofיֵשׁוּעַJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃the-Messiah

    Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

    כָּרָאוּיas-fittingלִיto-meלַחֲשֹׁבto-supposeלְכֻלְּכֶםunto-allבַּעֲבוּרbecause-ofשְׂאֵתִיbearing-myאֶתְכֶםyouבִּלְבָבִיin-my-heartבְּמוֹסֵרַיin-my-bondsוּבְהַצְדִּיקִיand-in-my-defenseוְחַזְּקִיand-confirmation-ofאֶת־הַבְּשׂוֹרָהthe-good-tidingsכִּיbecauseאַתֶּםyou-areכֻּלְּכֶםall-youחֲבֵרַיmy-companionsבֶּחָסֶד׃in-grace

    Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.

    כִּיbecauseהָאֱלֹהִיםthe-Godלְעֵדis-a-witnessלִיto-meאֲשֶׁרwhichנִכְסַפְתִּיI-longedלְכֻלְּכֶםunto-allבְּאַהֲבַתin-the-love-ofיֵשׁוּעַJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃the-Messiah

    For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.

    וְעַל־זֹאתand-for-this-causeמִתְפַּלֵּלprayאָנֹכִיIשֶׁעוֹדthat-yet-moreתִּרְבֶּהmay-aboundוְתִגְדַּלand-growאַהֲבַתְכֶםyour-loveלְהַשְׂכֵּלin-understandingוּלְכׇל־דָּעַת׃and-for-all-knowledge

    And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;

    לְמַעַןin-order-thatתֵּדְעוּknow-shall-youבֵּיןamongטוֹבgoodלָרָעto-the-evilוִהְיִיתֶםthat-you-may-beזַכִּיםsincereוּבְלִיand-withoutמִכְשׁוֹלoffenseעַד־יוֹםuntil-the-day-ofהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃the-Messiah

    That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;

    מְלֵאִיםbeing-filled-withפְּרִיthe-fruits-ofהַצְּדָקָהrighteousnessעַל־יְדֵיby-means-ofיֵשׁוּעַJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַthe-Messiahלִכְבוֹדfor-the-glory-ofאֱלֹהִיםGodוְלִתְהִלָּתוֹ׃and-to-His-praise

    Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

    וְהִנְנִיand-Iמוֹדִיעַmaking-knownאֶתְכֶםyouאֶחָיbrothers-myכִּיbecauseמַה־שֶּׁבָּאwhat-has-comeעָלַיunto-meלֹאnotבָאcameאֶלָּאbut-ratherלְיִתְרוֹןunto-the-furtherance-ofהַבְּשׂוֹרָה׃the-gospel

    But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;

  13. 13

    עַדuntilאֲשֶׁרwhichנִגְלוּare-manifestמוֹסְרוֹתַיmy-bondsבַּמָּשִׁיחַin-the-Messiahבְּכׇל־שַׁעַרin-all-gate-ofהַמֶּלֶךְthe-kingוּלְכֹלand-to-everyהַנִּשְׁאָרִים׃the-rest

    So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places;

  14. 14

    וְרֹבand-most-ofהָאַחִיםthe-brethrenבַּאֲדֹנֵינוּin-the-Lordהוֹסִיפוּthey-continuedאֹמֶץcourageבְּמוֹסְרוֹתַיby-my-bondsוְהִתְחַזְּקוּand-did-fortifyבִלְבָבָםin-their-heartsלְדַבֵּרto-speakאֶת־הַדָּבָרthe-wordבְּלִי־פָחַד׃without-fear

    And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

    הֵןyeaיֵשׁthereמַכְרִיזִיםproclaimingאֶת־הַמָּשִׁיחַthe-Messiahמִקִּנְאָהfrom-jealousyוָרִיבand-contentionוְיֵשׁand-someמַכְרִיזִיםproclaimingמִמַּחֲשָׁבָהof-good-willטוֹבָה׃good

    Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:

  16. 16

    אֵלֶּהtheseמִמְּרִיבָהfrom-strifeמַכְרִיזִיםproclaimingאֶת־הַמָּשִׁיחַthe-Messiahלֹאnotבְלֵב־טָהוֹרin-heart-pureכִּיbecauseחשְׁבִיםthinkingלְהוֹסִיףto-addצָרָהafflictionעַל־מוֹסֵרָי׃to-my-bonds

    The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:

  17. 17

    וְאֵלֶּהand-theseמֵאַהֲבָהfrom-loveבַּאֲשֶׁרbecauseהֵםtheyיֹדְעִיםknowingכִּי־נָתוּןbecause-givenאָנֹכִיIלְהַצְדִּיקfor-the-defense-ofאֶת־הַבְּשׂוֹרָה׃the-good-tidings

    But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.

  18. 18

    אֶלָּאbut-ratherמַה־בְּכָךְwhat-does-it-matterוּבִלְבַדand-onlyשֶׁיֻּכְרַזthat-is-proclaimedהַמָּשִׁיחַthe-Messiahבֵּיןamongבַּעֲלִילָהin-pretenceוּבֵיןand-betweenבֶּאֱמֶתin-truthבָּזֹאתin-this(f)אֲנִיIשָׂמֵחַhappyוְגַםand-alsoאֱהְיֶהI-willשָׂמֵחַ׃rejoice

    What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

  19. 19

    כִּיbecauseיוֹדֵעַknowsאֲנִיIשֶׁגַּםthat-alsoזֹאתthisתִּהְיֶה־לִּיshall-be-to-meלִישׁוּעָהunto-salvationבִּתְפִלַּתְכֶםthrough-your-prayerוּבְעֶזְרַתand-in-the-supply-ofרוּחַthe-Spirit-ofיֵשׁוּעַJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃the-Messiah

    For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

  20. 20

    וְאוֹחִילand-I-expectוַאֲקַוֶּהand-I-hopeשֶׁלּאthat-notאֵבוֹשׁI-shall-be-ashamedמִכׇּל־דָּבָרin-nothingכִּיbecauseאִם־בְּכׇל־בִּטָּחוֹןbut-with-all-boldnessכַּאֲשֶׁרAccording-asמֵאָזsinceכֵּןthusעַתָּהnowיִתְגַּדֵּלshall-be-magnifiedהַמָּשִׁיחַthe-Messiahבְּגוּפִיin-my-bodyאִם־בְּחַיַּיwhether-by-my-lifeאִם־בְּמוֹתִי׃or-by-my-death

    According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.

  21. 21

    כִּיbecauseהַמָּשִׁיחַthe-Messiahהוּאheחַיָּיmy-lifeוְהַמָּוֶתand-the-deathרֶוַח־לִי׃is-gain

    For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

  22. 22

    אֶלָּאbut-ratherאִם־חַיַּיif-my-lifeבַּבָּשָׂרin-the-fleshיוֹסִיף־לִיyield-meפְּרִיthe-fruit-ofעֲמָלִיmy-laborלֹאnotאֵדַעI-shall-knowבְּמָהin-whatאֶבְחָר׃I-shall-choose

    But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.

  23. 23

    כִּיbecauseאָחוּזI-am-in-a-straitאֲנִיIמִשְּׁנֵיfrom-two-ofצְדָדִיםsidesנַפְשִׁיmy-lifeאִוְּתָהhaving-a-desireלְהִפָּטֵרto-departוְלִהְיוֹתand-to-beעִם־הַמָּשִׁיחַwith-the-Messiahכִּי־זֶהthat-thisהַמֻּבְחָר׃is-far-better

    For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

  24. 24

    אֲבָלbutעֲמֹדto-abideעוֹדstillבַּבָּשָׂרin-the-fleshצָרִיךְis-needfulיֹתֵרmoreבַּעֲבוּרְכֶם׃for-your-sakes

    Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

  25. 25

    וַאֲנִיand-Iבֹטֵחַconfidentוְיֹדֵעַand-I-knowשֶׁאִוָּתֵרthat-I-shall-abideוְאֶעֱמֹדand-continueעִם־כֻּלְּכֶםwith-all-youיָחַדtogetherלְאַמֵּץto-make strongאֶתְכֶםyouוּלְהַגְדִּילand-to-increaseשִׂמְחַתjoy-ofאֱמוּנַתְכֶם׃your-faith

    And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith;

    לְמַעַןin-order-thatתִּרְבֶּהmay-aboundעַל־יָדִיupon-my-handתְּהִלַּתְכֶםyour-rejoicingבַּמָּשִׁיחַin-the-MessiahיֵשׁוּעַJesusבְּשׁוּבִיwhen-return-Iלָבוֹאto-comeאֲלֵיכֶם׃unto-you

    That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.

  27. 27

    רַקonlyהִתְנַהֲגוּconduct-yourselvesכָּרָאוּיas-fittingלִבְשׂוֹרַתthe-gospel-ofהַמָּשִׁיחַthe-Messiahלְמַעַןin-order-thatאֶשְׁמַעI-may-hearעֲלֵיכֶםover-youאִם־בְּבוֹאִיwhether-I-comeלִרְאוֹתְכֶםand-see-youאִם־בִּהְיוֹתִיor-beרָחוֹקfarשֶׁקַּיָּמִיםthat-you-stand-fastאַתֶּםyou-areבְּרוּחַin-spiritאַחַתoneוְעֹזְרִיםand-striving-togetherאֹתִיmeנֶפֶשׁsoulאַחַתoneלְהִלָּחֵםto-fightבְּעַדthroughאֱמוּנַתthe-faith-ofהַבְּשׂוֹרָה׃the-gospel

    Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

  28. 28

    וְאֵינְכֶםand-you-are-notחֲרֵדִיםterrifiedמְאוּמָהanythingמִפְּנֵיbecause-ofהַמִּתְקוֹמֲמִיםyour-adversariesאֲשֶׁרwhichזֹאתthisלָהֶםto-themאוֹתa-signלְאָבְדָםof-perditionוְלָכֶםand-to-youלִישׁוּעַתְכֶםto-your-salvationוְגַם־זֹאתand-also-thisמֵאֵתfromהָאֱלֹהִים׃the-God

    And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.

  29. 29

    כִּי־לָכֶםbecause-to-youנִתַּןwas-givenלְהִתְעַנּוֹתto-sufferבְּעַדthroughהַמָּשִׁיחַthe-Messiahוְלֹא־לְהַאֲמִיןand-not-to-believeבּוֹin-himבִּלְבָד׃alone

    For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

  30. 30

    כִּיbecauseגַם־לָכֶםalso-to-youהַמִּלְחָמָהthe-conflictאֲשֶׁרwhichרְאִיתֶםyou-sawבִּיin-meוַאֲשֶׁרand-whomעַתָּהnowשֹׁמְעִיםyou-hearאַתֶּםyou-areעָלָי׃upon-me

    Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.
