   Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

   I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,

   וְתָמִידve/ta/MIDand alwaysבְּכׇל־תְּפִלּוֹתַיbe/KHOL-te/fil/lo/TAYin all my prayersאֶתְחַנֵּןet/chan/NENI pleadבְּשִׂמְחָהbe/sim/CHAwith joyבְּעַדbe/ADforכֻּלְּכֶם׃kul/le/KHEMall of you

   Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,

   עַל־חֶבְרַתְכֶםal-chev/rat/KHEMfor your fellowshipבַּבְּשׂוֹרָהbab/be/so/RAin the gospelלְמִן־הַיּוֹםle/MIN-hay/YOMfrom the dayהָרִאשׁוֹןha/ri/SHONfirstוְעַד־הֵנָּה׃ve/AD-HEN/naand until now

   For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;

   וּבֹטֵחַu/vo/TE/achand trustingאֲנִיa/NII amבָּזֹאתba/ZOTby thisכִּיkithatהַמֵּחֵלham/Me/CHELthe One who beganבָּכֶםba/KHEMin youמַעֲשֶׂהma/a/SEworkטוֹבtovgoodיַשְׁלִימֶנּוּyash/li/men/NUwill complete itעַד־יוֹםad-yomuntil the day ofיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃ham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiah

   Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

   כַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHEReven asרָאוּיra/UYit is fittingלִיlifor meלַחֲשֹׁבla/cha/SHOVto thinkזֹאתzotthisעַל־כֻּלְּכֶםal-kul/le/KHEMfor all of youבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecauseשְׂאֵתִיse/e/TII bearאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouבִּלְבָבִיbil/va/VIin my heartכִּיkiforגַּםgambothבְּמוֹסֵרַיbe/mo/se/RAYin my bondsוּבְהַצְדִּיקִיu/ve/hats/di/KIand in my vindicatingוּבְקַיְּמִיu/ve/kay/ye/MIand in my confirmingאֶת־הַבְּשׂוֹרָהet-hab/be/so/RAthe gospelכֻּלְּכֶםkul/le/KHEMall of youחַבְרֵיchav/REcompanions ofחַסְדִּי׃chas/DImy grace

   Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.

   For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.

   וְעַל־זֹאתve/AL-zotand for thisמִתְפַּלֵּלmit/pal/LELprayאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIכִּיkithatעוֹדodyetתִּרְבֶּהtir/BEmay increaseוְתִגְדַּלve/tig/DALand growאַהֲבַתְכֶםa/ha/vat/KHEMyour loveבְּדַעַתbe/DA/atin the knowledge ofוּבְכׇל־טַעַם׃u/ve/KHOL-TA/amand in all discernment

   And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;

    לְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatתִּבְחֲנוּtiv/cha/NUyou may approveאֶת־הַנְּגִידִיםet-han/ne/gi/DIMwhat is excellentוִהְיִיתֶםvih/yi/TEMand beיְשָׁרִיםye/sha/RIMuprightוּבְלִיu/ve/LIand withoutמִכְשׁוֹלmikh/SHOLstumblingעַד־יוֹםad-yomuntil the day ofהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃ham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiah

    That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;

    מְלֵאִיםme/le/IMfilled withפְּרִיpe/RIthe fruit ofהַצְּדָקָהhats/tse/da/KArighteousnessאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichעַל־יְדֵיal-ye/DEthroughיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahלִכְבוֹדlikh/VODto the glory ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodוְלִתְהִלָּתוֹ׃ve/lit/hil/la/TOand to His praise

    Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

    וְחָפֵץve/cha/FETSand I wantאֲנִיa/NIIכִּיkithatתֵדְעוּted/Uyou knowאַחַיa/CHAYmy brothersכִּיkithatאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhatקָרָנִיka/ra/NIbefell meהָיָהha/YAhappenedיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreלְיִתְרוֹןle/yit/RONfor the advantage ofהַבְּשׂוֹרָה׃hab/be/so/RAthe gospel

    But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;

    עַדadsoאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatנִגְלוּnig/LUhave become knownמוֹסְרוֹתַיmos/ro/TAYmy bondsבַּמָּשִׁיחַbam/Ma/SHI/achin the Messiahבְּכׇל־בֵּיתbe/KHOL-betin all the house ofהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingוּבְכׇל־שְׁאָרu/ve/KHOL-she/ARand in all the rest ofהַמְּקוֹמוֹת׃ham/me/ko/MOTthe places

    So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places;

14. 14

    וְרַבִּיםve/rab/BIMand manyמִן־הָאַחִיםmin-ha/a/CHIMof the brothersבָּאָדוֹןba/a/DONin the Lordבֹּטְחִיםbot/CHIMtrustingבְּמוֹסְרוֹתַיbe/mos/ro/TAYby my bondsהִרְבּוּhir/BUincreasedלְהִתְאַמֵּץle/hit/am/METSto be boldלְדַבֵּרle/dab/BERto speakאֶת־הַדָּבָרet-had/da/VARthe wordבְּלִיbe/LIwithoutפָחַד׃FA/chadfear

    And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

15. 15

    הֵןhenindeedיֵשׁyeshthere areמַגִּידִיםmag/gi/DIMproclaimאֶת־הַמָּשִׁיחַet-Ham/ma/SHI/achthe Messiahמִקִּנְאָהmik/kin/Afrom envyוָרִיבva/RIVand strifeוְיֵשׁve/YESHand there areמַגִּידִיםmag/gi/DIMproclaimמֵרָצוֹןme/ra/TSONfrom goodwillטוֹבָה׃to/VAgood

    Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:

16. 16

    אֵלֶּהEL/letheseמִמְּרִיבָהmim/me/ri/VAfrom contentionמַגִּידִיםmag/gi/DIMproclaimאֶת־הַמָּשִׁיחַet-Ham/ma/SHI/achthe Messiahלֹאlonotבְיֹשֶׁרve/YO/sherin uprightnessכִּיkiforחֹשְׁבִיםchosh/VIMthey thinkלְהוֹסִיףle/ho/SIFto addצָרָהtsa/RAtroubleעַל־מוֹסֵרָי׃al-mo/se/RAYto my bonds

    The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:

17. 17

    וְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand theseמֵאַהֲבָהme/a/ha/VAfrom loveבַּאֲשֶׁרba/a/SHERsinceהֵםhemtheyיֹדְעִיםyod/IMknowכִּי־נָתוּןki-na/TUNthat am setאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIלְהַצְדִּיקle/hats/DIKto vindicateאֶת־הַבְּשׂוֹרָה׃et-hab/be/so/RAthe gospel

    But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.

18. 18

    מָהmawhatאֵפוֹאe/FOthenאַךְakhbutבְּכׇל־דֶּרֶךְbe/KHOL-DE/rekhin every wayאִםimwhetherבַּעֲלִילָהba/a/li/LAin pretextאִםimorבֶּאֱמֶתbe/e/METin truthהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahמֻגָּדmug/GADis proclaimedוּבָזֹאתu/va/ZOTand in thisאֲנִיa/NIIשָׂמֵחַsa/ME/achrejoiceוְגַםve/GAMand alsoאֶשְׂמָח׃es/MACHI will rejoice

    What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

19. 19

    כִּיkiforיוֹדֵעַyo/DE/aknowאֲנִיa/NIIכִּיkithatזֹאתzotthisתִּהְיֶה־לִּיtih/YE-liwill be for meלִישׁוּעָהli/shu/Afor salvationבִּתְפִלַּתְכֶםbit/fil/lat/KHEMthrough your prayerוּבְמַתַּתu/ve/mat/TATand the gift ofרוּחַRU/achthe Spirit ofיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃ham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiah

    For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

20. 20

    כְּפִיke/FIaccording toתוֹחַלְתִּיto/chal/TImy expectationוְתִקְוָתִיve/tik/va/TIand my hopeכִּיkibutלֹאlonotאֵבוֹשׁe/VOSHI will be ashamedבִּמְאוּמָהbim/U/main anythingכִּיkibutאִם־בְּכׇל־פִּתְחוֹןim-be/KHOL-pit/CHONrather with all opennessפֶּהpemouthכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasתָּמִידta/MIDalwaysכֵּןkensoגַּם־עַתָּהgam-at/TAalso nowיִתְגַּדֵּלyit/gad/DELwill be magnifiedהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahבְּגוּפִיbe/gu/FIin my bodyאִם־בְּחַיִּיםim-be/chay/YIMwhether in lifeאִם־בְּמָוֶת׃im-be/MA/vetor in death

    According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.

21. 21

    כִּיkiforלִיlito meהַחַיִּיםha/chay/YIMlifeהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahהוּאhuisוְהַמָּוֶתve/ham/MA/vetand deathיִתְרוֹן׃yit/RONgain

    For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

22. 22

    אַךְakhbutאִם־אֶחְיֶהim-ech/YEif I liveבַּבָּשָׂרbab/ba/SARin the fleshזֶהzethis isפְּרִיpe/RIthe fruit ofעֲמָלִיa/ma/LImy laborוּמָהu/MAand whatאֶבְחָרev/CHARI will chooseלֹאlonotאֵדָע׃e/DAI know

    But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.

23. 23

    כִּיkiforצַרtsarI am pressedלִיlito meבֵּיןbenbetweenשְׁנַיִםshe/NA/yimtwoנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulאִוְּתָהiv/ve/TAdesiresלָלֶכֶתla/LE/khetto departוְלִהְיוֹתve/lih/YOTand to beעִם־הַמָּשִׁיחַim-Ham/ma/SHI/achwith the Messiahכִּי־זֶהki-zefor this isטוֹבtovbetterיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreמְאֹד׃me/ODvery

    For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

24. 24

    אֲבָלa/VALbutלַעֲמֹדla/a/MODto remainבַּבָּשָׂרbab/ba/SARin the fleshנָחוּץna/CHUTSis neededיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreבַּעֲבוּרְכֶם׃ba/a/vur/KHEMfor your sake

    Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

25. 25

    וּבְבִטְחוֹנִיu/ve/vit/cho/NIand in my confidenceבָזֹאתva/ZOTin thisיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowכִּיkithatאֶשָּׁאֵרesh/sha/ERI will remainוְאֶעֱמֹדve/e/e/MODand stayעִם־כֻּלְּכֶםim-kul/le/KHEMwith all of youלְיִתְרוֹנְכֶםle/yit/ron/KHEMfor your advantageוּלְשִׂמְחַתu/le/sim/CHATand the joy ofאֱמוּנַתְכֶם׃e/mu/nat/KHEMyour faith

    And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith;

26. 26

    לְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatתִּרְבֶּהtir/BEmay aboundתְּהִלַּתְכֶםte/hil/lat/KHEMyour boastingבְּיֵשׁוּעַbe/Ye/SHU/ain Jesusהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahבִּיbiin meבְּבוֹאִיbe/vo/Iat my comingעוֹדodagainאֲלֵיכֶם׃a/le/KHEMto you

    That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.

27. 27

    רַקrakonlyהִתְהַלְּכוּhit/hal/le/KHUwalkכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasנָאוֶהna/VEis fittingלִבְשׂוֹרַתliv/so/RATthe gospel ofהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatאִם־אָבוֹאim-a/VOwhether I comeוְאֶרְאֶהve/er/Eand I will seeאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouוְאִם־רָחוֹקve/IM-ra/CHOKor farאֶהְיֶהeh/YEI amאֶשְׁמַעesh/MAI may hearאֶת־קֹרוֹתֵיכֶםet-ko/ro/te/KHEMyour affairsכִּיkithatעֹמְדִיםom/DIMstandingאַתֶּםat/TEMyou areבְּרוּחַbe/RU/achin spiritאֶחָדe/CHADoneבְּנֶפֶשׁbe/NE/feshwith a soulאַחַתa/CHAToneנִלְחָמִיםnil/cha/MIMfightingיַחַדYA/chadtogetherבְּעַדbe/ADforאֱמוּנַתe/mu/NATthe faith ofהַבְּשׂוֹרָה׃hab/be/so/RAthe gospel

    Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

28. 28

    וְלֹאve/LOand notתֵחַתּוּte/chat/TUyou are terrifiedבִּמְאוּמָהbim/U/main anythingמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbeforeהַצָּרִיםhats/tsa/RIMthe adversariesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהִיאhiisלָהֶםla/HEMto themאוֹתota signנִגְלֶהnig/LEa clearלַאֲבַדּוֹןla/a/vad/DONfor destructionוְלָכֶםve/la/KHEMand to youלִישׁוּעָהli/shu/Afor salvationוְגַם־זֹאתve/GAM-zotand this alsoמֵאֵתme/ETfromהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

    And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.

29. 29

    כִּיkiforלָכֶםla/KHEMto youנִתַּןnit/TANit was givenבְּעַדbe/ADforהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahלֹאlonotלְבַדle/VADonlyלְהַאֲמִיןle/ha/a/MINto believeבּוֹboin himכִּיkibutאִם־גַּםim-gamrather alsoלִסְבֹּלlis/BOLto sufferבַּעֲבוּרוֹ׃ba/a/vu/ROfor his sake

    For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

30. 30

    וְלָכֶםve/la/KHEMand to youהַמִּלְחָמָהham/mil/cha/MAthe struggleהַהִיאha/HIthatאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatרְאִיתֶםre/i/TEMyou sawבִּיbiin meוְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowתִּשְׁמְעוּtish/me/Uyou will hearכִּיkiforבִיviin meהִיא׃hiit is

    Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.
