1. 1

   הַבָּנִיםhab/ba/NIMchildrenשִׁמְעוּshim/Uhearלְהוֹרֵיכֶםle/ho/re/KHEMyour parentsבָּאָדוֹןba/a/DONin the Lordכִּיkiforזֶהzethisיָשָׁר׃ya/SHARupright

   Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

2. 2

   כַּבֵּדkab/BEDhonorאֶת־אָבִיךָet-a/VI/khayour fatherוְאֶת־אִמֶּךָve/ET-im/ME/khaand your motherזֹאתzotthisהִיאhiisהַמִּצְוָהham/mits/VAthe commandmentהָרִאשֹׁנָהha/ri/sho/NAthe firstבְּהַבְטָחָה׃be/hav/ta/CHAwith a promise

   Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)

   לְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִיטַבyi/TAVit may go wellלָךְlakhwith youוּלְמַעַןu/le/MA/anand thatיַאֲרִיכֻןya/a/ri/KHUNmay be longיָמֶיךָya/ME/khayour daysעַל־הָאֲדָמָה׃al-ha/a/da/MAupon the land

   That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

   וְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMand youהָאָבוֹתha/a/VOTfathersאַל־תַּכְעִיסוּal-takh/i/SUdo not provokeאֶת־בְּנֵיכֶםet-be/ne/KHEMyour childrenכִּיkibutאִם־גַּדְּלוּim-gad/de/LUrather bring upאֹתָםo/TAMthemבְּמוּסַרbe/mu/SARin the discipline ofהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe Lordוּבְתוֹכַחְתּוֹ׃u/ve/to/khach/TOand his correction

   And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

   הָעֲבָדִיםha/a/va/DIMthe slavesשִׁמְעוּshim/Uhearלַאֲדֹנֵיכֶםla/a/do/ne/KHEMto your mastersלְפִיle/FIaccording toהַבָּשָׂרhab/ba/SARthe fleshבְּיִרְאָהbe/yir/Awith fearוּבַחֲרָדָהu/va/cha/ra/DAand tremblingבְּתׇם־לְבַבְכֶםbe/TOM-le/vav/KHEMin integrity of your heartכְּמוֹke/MOasלַמָּשִׁיחַ׃lam/Ma/SHI/achto the Messiah

   Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;

   לֹאlonotבַעֲבֹדָהva/a/vo/DAwith serviceלְמַרְאֵהle/mar/Efor the sight ofעֵינַיִםe/NA/yimeyesכִּמְבַקְשִׁיםkim/vak/SHIMas those seekingלִמְצֹאlim/TSOto findחֵןchenfavorבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofבְנֵי־אָדָםve/NE-a/DAMthe sons of menכִּיkibutאִם־כְּעַבְדֵיim-ke/av/DErather as slaves ofהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahעֹשִׂיםo/SIMdoingרְצוֹןre/TSONthe will ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodמִכׇּל־לִבָּם׃mik/KOL-lib/BAMfrom all their heart

   Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

   עֹבְדִיםov/DIMserveבְּנֶפֶשׁbe/NE/feshwith a soulחֲפֵצָהcha/fe/TSAwillingכְּמוֹke/MOasלָאָדוֹןla/a/DONto the Lordוְלֹאve/LOand notלִבְנֵיliv/NEto the sons ofאָדָם׃a/DAMmen

   With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:

   וְיֹדְעִיםve/yod/IMknowingכִּיkithatכׇּל־דָּבָרkol-da/VARevery thingטוֹבtovgoodאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEdoesאִישׁishany manאוֹתוֹo/TOhimיִקַּחyik/KACHwill receiveמֵאֵתme/ETofהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe Lordאִם־עֶבֶדim-E/vedwhether a slaveוְאִם־חׇפְשִׁי׃ve/IM-chof/SHIor free

   Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

   וְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMand youהָאֲדֹנִיםha/a/do/NIMmastersכָּכָהKA/khasoתַעֲשׂוּta/a/SUdoגַּם־לָהֶםgam-la/HEMto them alsoחִדְלוּchid/LUceaseמִגְּעָר־בָּםmig/ge/AR-bamfrom rebuking themוִידַעְתֶּםvi/da/TEMand knowכִּיkithatגַם־עֲלֵיכֶםgam-a/le/KHEMover you alsoיֵשׁyeshthere isאָדוֹןA/DONa Masterבַּשָּׁמַיִםbash/sha/MA/yimin heavenוְאֵיןve/ENand there is noלְפָנָיוle/fa/NAYVbefore himמַשֹּׂאmas/SOlifting ofפָנִים׃fa/NIMfaces

   And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.

    סוֹףsofthe end ofדָּבָרda/VARthe matterאֶחָיe/CHAYmy brothersחִזְקוּchiz/KUbe strongבָאָדוֹןva/a/DONin the Lordוּבְעֹזu/ve/OZand in the strength ofגְּבוּרָתוֹ׃ge/vu/ra/TOhis might

    Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11. 11

    לִבְשׁוּliv/SHUput onאֶת־כׇּל־נֶשֶׁקet-kol-NE/shekall the armor ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatתּוּכְלוּtukh/LUyou may be ableלַעֲמֹדla/a/MODto standנֶגֶדNE/gedagainstנִכְלֵיnikh/LEthe schemes ofהַשָּׂטָן׃Has/sa/TANSatan

    Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12. 12

    כִּיkiforלֹאlonotנֵאָבֵקne/a/VEKwe wrestleעִם־בָּשָׂרim-ba/SARwith fleshוָדָםva/DAMand bloodכִּיkibutאִם־עִם־שָׂרִיםim-im-sa/RIMrather with princesעִם־שַׁלִּיטִיםim-shal/li/TIMwith rulersעִם־הַמֹּשְׁלִיםim-ham/mosh/LIMwith the governorsבְּחֶשְׁכַּתbe/chesh/KATin the darkness ofהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisעִם־רוּחוֹתim-ru/CHOTwith spirits ofהָרָעָהha/ra/Aevilבַּמְּרוֹמִים׃bam/me/ro/MIMin the heights

    For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

    עַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeקְחוּke/CHUtakeלָכֶםla/KHEMto youאֶת־כׇּל־נֶשֶׁקet-kol-NE/shekall the armor ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatתּוּכְלוּtukh/LUyou may be ableלַעֲמֹדla/a/MODto standבְּיוֹםbe/YOMon the dayהָרָעָהha/ra/Aevilוּבַעֲשׂוֹתְכֶםu/va/a/sot/KHEMand having doneהַכֹּלhak/KOLallלַעֲמֹד׃la/a/MODto stand

    Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14. 14

    עִמְדוּim/DUstandאֵפוֹאe/FOthenמׇתְנֵיכֶםmot/ne/KHEMyour loinsחֲגוּרִיםcha/gu/RIMgirdedבֶּאֱמֶתbe/e/METwith truthוּלְבוּשִׁיםu/le/vu/SHIMand clothed withשִׁרְיוֹןshir/YONthe breastplate ofהַצְּדָקָה׃hats/tse/da/KArighteousness

    Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15. 15

    וְרַגְלֵיכֶםve/rag/le/KHEMand your feetמְנֻעָלוֹתme/nu/a/LOTshodמוּכָנוֹתmu/kha/NOTprepared withבְּשׂוֹרַתbe/so/RATthe gospel ofהַשָּׁלוֹם׃hash/sha/LOMpeace

    And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16. 16

    וְעַל־כׇּל־אֵלֶּהve/AL-kol-EL/leand above all theseשְׂאוּse/Utake upמָגֵןma/GENthe shield ofהָאֱמוּנָהha/e/mu/NAfaithבּוֹbowith itתּוּכְלוּtukh/LUyou will be ableלְכַבּוֹתle/khab/BOTto quenchכׇּל־חִצֵּיkol-chits/TSEall the arrows ofהָרָשָׁעha/ra/SHAthe wicked oneהַבֹּעֲרִים׃hab/bo/a/RIMburning

    Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17. 17

    וּקְחוּu/ke/CHUand takeכּוֹבַעko/VAthe helmet ofהַיְשׁוּעָהhay/shu/Asalvationוְחֶרֶבve/CHE/revand the sword ofהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe Spiritאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהִיאhiisדְּבַרde/VARthe word ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

    And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18. 18

    מִתְפַּלְלִיםmit/pal/LIMprayingבְּכׇל־עֵתbe/KHOL-etalwaysבְּכׇל־תְּפִלָּהbe/KHOL-te/fil/LAwith all prayerוְתַחֲנוּנִיםve/ta/cha/nu/NIMand supplicationsבָּרוּחַba/RU/achin the Spiritוְשֹׁקְדִיםve/shok/DIMand watchingלָזֹאתla/ZOTfor thisתָּמִידta/MIDalwaysוּבְתַחֲנוּנִיםu/ve/ta/cha/nu/NIMand in supplicationsבְּעַדbe/ADforכׇּל־הַקְּדוֹשִׁים׃kol-hak/ke/do/SHIMall the saints

    Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

19. 19

    וְגַםve/GAMand alsoבַּעֲדִיba/a/DIfor meלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatיִנָּתֶן־לִיyin/NA/ten-limay be given to meאֹמֶרO/merutteranceבְּפִתְחִיbe/fit/CHIwhen I openפִיfimy mouthבְּבִטְחָהbe/vit/CHAwith confidenceלְהוֹדִיעַle/ho/DI/ato make knownאֶת־סוֹדet-sodthe secret ofהַבְּשׂוֹרָה׃hab/be/so/RAthe gospel

    And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

20. 20

    אֲשֶׁרa/SHERfor whichאֲנִיa/NII amמֵלִיץme/LITSan envoyבַּעֲבוּרָהּba/a/vu/RAfor its sakeבְּמוֹסֵרוֹתbe/mo/se/ROTin bondsלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatאֲדַבֵּרa/dab/BERI may speakבָּהּbain itבְּבִטְחָהbe/vit/CHAwith confidenceכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasעָלַיa/LAYon meלְדַבֵּר׃le/dab/BERto speak

    For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

21. 21

    וּלְמַעַןu/le/MA/anand soתֵּדְעוּted/Umay knowגַם־אַתֶּםgam-at/TEMyou alsoאֶת־קֹרֹתַיet-ko/ro/TAYmy affairsוְאֶת־שְׁלוֹמִיve/ET-she/lo/MIand my welfareטוּכִיקוֹסTu/khi/KOSTychicusהָאָחha/ACHthe brotherהַיְּדִידhay/ye/DIDthe belovedוְהַמְשָׁרֵתve/ham/sha/RETand the ministerהַנֶּאֱמָןhan/ne/e/MANfaithfulבָּאָדוֹןba/a/DONin the Lordיוֹדִיעַyo/DI/awill make knownלָכֶםla/KHEMto youהַכֹּל׃hak/KOLeverything

    But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:

22. 22

    אֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomלָזֹאתla/ZOTfor thisשְׁלַחְתִּיהוּshe/lach/ti/HUI sent himאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMto youלְהוֹדִיעֲכֶםle/ho/di/a/KHEMto make known to youאֶת־קֹרֹתֵינוּet-ko/ro/te/NUour affairsוּלְמַעַןu/le/MA/anand so thatיְנַחֵםye/na/CHEMhe may comfortאֶת־לְבַבְכֶם׃et-le/vav/KHEMyour hearts

    Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.

23. 23

    שָׁלוֹםsha/LOMpeaceלָאַחִיםla/a/CHIMto the brothersוְאַהֲבָהve/a/ha/VAand loveעִם־הָאֱמוּנָהim-ha/e/mu/NAwith faithמֵאֵתme/ETfromהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodהָאָבha/AVthe Fatherוּמֵאֵתu/me/ETand fromהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe LordיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃ham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiah

    Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

    הַחֶסֶדha/CHE/sedgraceעִם־כׇּל־הָאֹהֲבִיםim-kol-ha/o/ha/VIMwith all who loveאֶת־אֲדֹנֵינוּet-a/do/NE/nuour LordיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahבְּיֹשֶׁרbe/YO/sherin uprightnessאָמֵן׃a/MENamen

    Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
