1. 1

   וַיֵּרֶדvay/YE/redand he went downבׇּאֳנִיָּהbo/o/niy/YAinto the boatוַיַּעֲבֹרvay/ya/a/VORand crossed overוַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand cameאֶל־עִירוֹ׃el-i/ROto his city

   And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.

   And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.

   וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenמִן־הַסּוֹפְרִיםmin-has/sof/RIMof the scribesאָמְרוּa/me/RUsaidבִלְבָבָםvil/va/VAMin their heartמְגַדֵּףme/gad/DEFblasphemingהוּא׃huhe is

   And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.

   וְיֵשׁוּעַve/Ye/SHU/aand Jesusיָדַעya/DAknewאֶת־מַחְשְׁבֹתָםet-mach/she/vo/TAMtheir thoughtsוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidלָמָּהLAM/mawhyתַחְשְׁבוּtach/she/VUdo you thinkרָעָהra/Aevilבִּלְבַבְכֶם׃bil/vav/KHEMin your hearts

   And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?

   כִּיkiforמָהmawhatהַנָּקֵלhan/na/KELis easierהֶאָמֹרhe/a/MORto sayנִסְלְחוּ־לְךָnis/le/CHU-le/KHAare forgiven youחַטֹּאתֶיךָchat/to/te/KHAyour sinsאִם־אָמֹרim-a/MORor to sayקוּםkumariseהִתְהַלֵּךְ׃hit/hal/LEKHand walk

   For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?

   אַךְakhbutלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatתֵּדְעוּןted/UNyou may knowכִּיkithatבֶן־הָאָדָםven-Ha/a/DAMthe Son of manיֶשׁ־לוֹyesh-lohasהַשָּׁלְטָןhash/sha/le/TANthe authorityבָּאָרֶץba/A/retson earthלִסְלֹחַlis/LO/achto forgiveלַחֲטָאִיםla/cha/ta/IMsinsוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֶל־נְכֵהel-ne/KHEto the one crippled inהָאֵבָרִיםha/e/va/RIMthe limbsקוּםkumariseשָׂאsatake upאֶת־מִטָּתְךָet-mit/ta/te/KHAyour bedוְלֶךְ־לְךָve/LEKH-le/KHAand goאֶל־בֵּיתֶךָ׃el-be/TE/khato your house

   But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.

   And he arose, and departed to his house.

8. 8

   וַהֲמוֹןva/ha/MONand the crowd ofהָעָםha/AMthe peopleרָאוּra/Usawוַיִּשְׁתּוֹמֲמוּvay/yish/to/ma/MUand were astonishedוַיְשַׁבְּחוּvay/shab/be/CHUand praisedאֶת־הָאֱלֹהִיםet-ha/e/lo/HIMGodאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoנָתַןna/TANhad givenשׇׁלְטָןshol/TANauthorityכָּזֶהka/ZEsuchלִבְנֵיliv/NEto the sons ofאָדָם׃a/DAMmen

   But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.

   And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passבַּהֲסִבּוֹba/ha/sib/BOas he reclinedבַּבַּיִתbab/BA/yitin the houseוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdמוֹכְסִיםmokh/SIMtax collectorsוְחַטָּאִיםve/chat/ta/IMand sinnersרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyבָּאוּBA/ucameוַיָּסֵבּוּvay/ya/seb/BUand reclinedעִם־יֵשׁוּעַim-Ye/SHU/awith Jesusוְתַלְמִידָיו׃ve/tal/mi/DAYVand his disciples

    And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.

    וַיִּרְאוּvay/yir/Uand sawהַפְּרוּשִׁיםhap/Pe/ru/SHIMthe Phariseesוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֶל־תַּלְמִידָיוel-tal/mi/DAYVto his disciplesמַדּוּעַmad/DU/awhyיֹאכַלyo/KHALdoes eatרַבְּכֶםrab/be/KHEMyour rabbiעִם־הַמּוֹכְסִיםim-ham/mokh/SIMwith the tax collectorsוְהַחַטָּאִים׃ve/ha/chat/ta/IMand sinners

    And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?

12. 12

    וַיִּשְׁמַעvay/yish/MAand heardיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themהַחֲזָקִיםha/cha/za/KIMthe strongאֵינָםe/NAMdo notצְרִיכִיםtse/ri/KHIMneedלְרֹפֵאle/ro/FEa physicianכִּיkibutאִם־הַחוֹלִים׃im-ha/cho/LIMthe sick

    But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

    וְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMand youצְאוּtse/Ugoוְלִמְדוּve/lim/DUand learnמָהmawhatהוּאhuisשֶׁנֶּאֱמַרshen/ne/e/MARthat which was saidחֶסֶדCHE/sedmercyחָפַצְתִּיcha/FATS/tiI desiredוְלֹאve/LOand notזָבַחZA/vachsacrificeכִּיkiforלֹא־בָאתִיlo-VA/tiI did not comeלִקְרֹאlik/ROto callאֶת־הַצַּדִּיקִיםet-hats/tsad/di/KIMthe righteousכִּיkibutאִם־אֶת־הַחַטָּאִיםim-et-ha/chat/ta/IMsinnersלִתְשׁוּבָה׃lit/shu/VAto repentance

    But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

    וַיִּגְּשׁוּvay/yig/ge/SHUand came nearאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himתַּלְמִידֵיtal/mi/DEthe disciples ofיוֹחָנָןYo/cha/NANJohnוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidמַדּוּעַmad/DU/awhyאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweוְהַפְּרוּשִׁיםve/hap/Pe/ru/SHIMand the Phariseesצָמִיםtsa/MIMfastהַרְבֵּהhar/BEmuchוְתַלְמִידֶיךָve/tal/mi/de/KHAbut your disciplesאֵינָםe/NAMdo notצָמִים׃tsa/MIMfast

    Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not?

15. 15

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusאֵיךְekhhowיוּכְלוּyukh/LUcanבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofהַחֻפָּהha/chup/PAthe canopyלְהִתְאַבֵּלle/hit/ab/BELmournבְּעוֹדbe/ODwhileהֶחָתָןhe/cha/TANthe bridegroomעִמָּהֶםim/ma/HEMis with themהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdיָמִיםya/MIMthe daysבָּאִיםba/IMare comingוְלֻקַּחve/luk/KACHand will be takenמֵאִתָּםme/it/TAMfrom themהֶחָתָןhe/cha/TANthe bridegroomוְאָזve/AZand thenיָצוּמוּ׃ya/tsu/MUthey will fast

    And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.

16. 16

    אֵיןennoאָדָםa/DAMmanמֵשִׂיםme/SIMputsטְלַאיte/LAYa patch ofחָדָשׁcha/DASHnewעַל־שִׂמְלָהal-sim/LAon a garmentבָלָהva/LAworn outכִּיkiforיִנָּתֵקyin/na/TEKwill tear awayהַטְּלַאיhat/te/LAYthe patchמִן־הַשִּׂמְלָהmin-has/sim/LAfrom the garmentוְיִתְרַחֵבve/yit/ra/CHEVand will widenהַקֶּרַע׃hak/KE/rathe tear

    No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse.

17. 17

    וְאֵיןve/ENand they do notנוֹתְנִיםnot/NIMputיַיִןYA/yinwineחָדָשׁcha/DASHnewבְּנֹאדוֹתbe/no/DOTinto skinsבָּלִיםba/LIMworn outפֶּן־יִבָּקְעוּpen-yib/ba/ke/Ulest will burstהַנֹּאדוֹתhan/no/DOTthe skinsוְהַיַּיִןve/hay/YA/yinand the wineיִשָּׁפֵךְyish/sha/FEKHwill spillוְהַנֹּאדוֹתve/han/no/DOTand the skinsיֹאבֵדוּyo/VE/duwill be ruinedאֲבָלa/VALbutנוֹתְנִיםnot/NIMthey putאֶת־הַיַּיִןet-hay/YA/yinthe wineהֶחָדָשׁhe/cha/DASHnewבְּנֹאדוֹתbe/no/DOTinto skinsחֲדָשִׁיםcha/da/SHIMnewוּשְׁנֵיהֶםu/she/ne/HEMand bothיַחְדָּוyach/DAVtogetherיִשָּׁמֵרוּ׃yish/sha/me/RUare preserved

    Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passהוּאhuheמְדַבֵּרme/dab/BERwas speakingאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe wordsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאַחַדa/CHADone ofהַשָּׂרִיםhas/sa/RIMthe rulersבָּאbacameוַיִּשְׁתַּחוּ־לוֹvay/yish/TA/chu-loand worshiped himוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidעַתָּהat/TAnowזֶהzejustמֵתָהME/tadiedבִתִּיvit/TImy daughterבֹּא־נָאbo-nacome nowוְשִׂיםve/SIMand layאֶת־יָדְךָet-ya/de/KHAyour handעָלֶיהָa/LE/haon herוְתִחְיֶה׃ve/tich/YEand she will live

    While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.

19. 19

    וַיָּקׇםvay/YA/komand aroseיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusוַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand wentאַחֲרָיוa/cha/RAYVafter himהוּאhuheוְתַלְמִידָיו׃ve/tal/mi/DAYVand his disciples

    And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples.

20. 20

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאִשָּׁהish/SHAa womanזָבַתza/VATflowing withדָּםdambloodשְׁתֵּים־עֶשְׂרֵהshtem-es/REtwelveשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsנִגְּשָׁהnig/ge/SHAcame nearמֵאַחֲרָיוme/a/cha/RAYVbehind himוַתִּגַּעvat/tig/GAand touchedבִּכְנַףbikh/NAFthe corner ofבִּגְדוֹ׃big/DOhis garment

    And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:

21. 21

    כִּיkiforאָמְרָהa/me/RAshe saidבְּלִבָּהּbe/lib/BAin her heartרַקrakonlyאִם־אֶגַּעim-eg/GAif I touchבְּבִגְדוֹbe/vig/DOhis garmentאִוָּשֵׁעַ׃iv/va/SHE/aI will be saved

    For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.

22. 22

    וַיִּפֶןvay/YI/fenand turnedיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusוַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawאוֹתָהּo/TAherוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidחִזְקִיchiz/KIbe strongבִתִּיvit/TImy daughterאֱמוּנָתֵךְe/mu/na/TEKHyour faithהוֹשִׁיעָהho/SHI/ahas savedלָּךְlakhyouוַתִּוָּשַׁעvat/tiv/va/SHAand was savedהָאִשָּׁהha/ish/SHAthe womanמִן־הַשָּׁעָהmin-hash/sha/Afrom the hourהַהִיא׃ha/HIthat

    But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

    וַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand cameיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusאֶל־בֵּיתel-betinto the house ofהַשָּׂרhas/SARthe rulerוַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawאֶת־הַמְחַלֲלִיםet-ham/cha/la/LIMthe pipersבַּחֲלִילִיםba/cha/li/LIMwith pipesוְאֶת־הָעָםve/ET-ha/AMand the peopleהַהוֹמֶה׃ha/ho/MEin tumult

    And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise,

    וַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidסוּרוּSU/rudepartמִפֹּהmip/POfrom hereכִּיkiforלֹאlonotמֵתָהME/tadeadהַיַּלְדָּהhay/yal/DAthe girlאַךְakhbutיְשֵׁנָהye/she/NAsleepingהִיאhishe isוַיִּשְׂחֲקוּvay/yis/cha/KUand they laughedלוֹ׃loat him

    He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn.

25. 25

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenהוֹצִיאוּho/TSI/uthey had put outאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMthe peopleמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thereוַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOhe wentהַבַּיְתָהhab/BAY/tainto the houseוַיֹּאחֶזvay/YO/chezand took holdבְּיָדָהּbe/ya/DAof her handוַתָּקׇםvat/TA/komand aroseהַנַּעֲרָה׃han/na/a/RAthe girl

    But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.

26. 26

    וַתֵּצֵאvat/te/TSEand went outהַשְּׁמוּעָהhash/she/mu/Athe reportהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisבְּכׇל־הָאָרֶץbe/KHOL-ha/A/retsinto all the landהַהִיא׃ha/HIthat

    And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land.

    וַיַּעֲבֹרvay/ya/a/VORand as passedיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thereוַיֵּלְכוּvay/yel/KHUwentאַחֲרָיוa/cha/RAYVafter himשְׁנֵיshe/NEtwoאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenעִוְרִיםiv/RIMblindוְהֵמָּהve/HEM/maand they wereצֹעֲקִיםtso/a/KIMcryingוְאֹמְרִיםve/om/RIMand sayingחׇנֵּנוּchon/NE/nuhave mercy on usבֶּן־דָּוִד׃ben-Da/VIDson of David

    And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.

28. 28

    וּכְבוֹאוֹu/khe/vo/Oand when he cameהַבַּיְתָהhab/BAY/tainto the houseנִגְּשׁוּnig/ge/SHUcame nearאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himהַעִוְרִיםha/iv/RIMthe blindוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהֲמַאֲמִינִיםha/ma/a/mi/NIMdo believeאַתֶּםat/TEMyouכִּיkithatיֵשׁ־לְאֵלyesh-le/ELis in the power ofיָדִיya/DImy handלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doזֹאתzotthisוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himהֵןhenyesאֲדֹנֵינוּ׃a/do/NE/nuour Lord

    And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.

29. 29

    וַיִּגַּעvay/yig/GAand he touchedבְּעֵינֵיהֶםbe/e/ne/HEMtheir eyesוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidיְהִיye/HIlet it beלָכֶםla/KHEMto youכֶּאֱמוּנַתְכֶם׃ke/e/mu/nat/KHEMaccording to your faith

    Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.

30. 30

    וַתִּפָּקַחְנָהvat/tip/pa/KACH/naand were openedעֵינֵיהֶםe/ne/HEMtheir eyesוַיַּזְהִירֵםvay/yaz/hi/REMand charged themיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidרְאוּre/Useeפֶּן־יִוָּדַעpen-yiv/va/DAlest it be knownלְאִישׁ׃le/ISHto anyone

    And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.

31. 31

    וְהֵמָּהve/HEM/mabut theyבְּצֵאתָםbe/tse/TAMwhen they went outהִשְׁמִיעוּhish/MI/umade heardאֶת־שׇׁמְעוֹet-shom/Ohis fameבְּכׇל־הָאָרֶץbe/KHOL-ha/A/retsin all the landהַהִיא׃ha/HIthat

    But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country.

32. 32

    הֵמָּהHEM/matheyיָצָאוּya/TSA/uwere going outוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdהֵבִיאוּhe/VI/uthey broughtאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאִישׁisha manאִלֵּםil/LEMmuteאֲחוּזa/CHUZseized byשֵׁד׃sheda demon

    As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil.

33. 33

    וַיְגָרֶשׁvay/GA/reshand he drove outאֶת־הַשֵּׁדet-hash/SHEDthe demonוְהָאִלֵּםve/ha/il/LEMand the muteהֵחֵלhe/CHELbeganלְדַבֵּרle/dab/BERto speakוַיִּתְמַהּvay/yit/MAand marveledהֲמוֹןha/MONthe crowd ofהָאֲנָשִׁיםha/a/na/SHIMthe menוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidמֵעוֹלָםme/o/LAMeverלֹא־נִרְאֲתָהlo-nir/a/TAwas not seenכָזֹאתkha/ZOTlike thisבְּיִשְׂרָאֵל׃be/Yis/ra/ELin Israel

    And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.

34. 34

    וְהַפְּרוּשִׁיםve/hap/Pe/ru/SHIMbut the Phariseesאָמְרוּa/me/RUsaidעַל־יְדֵיal-ye/DEby the hand ofשַׂרsarthe prince ofהַשֵּׁדִיםhash/she/DIMthe demonsמְגָרֵשׁme/ga/RESHdrives outהוּאhuheאֵת־הַשֵּׁדִים׃et-hash/she/DIMthe demons

    But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils.

35. 35

    וַיָּסׇבvay/YA/sovand went aroundיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusבְּכׇל־הֶעָרִיםbe/KHOL-he/a/RIMin all the citiesוְהַכְּפָרִיםve/hak/ke/fa/RIMand villagesוַיְלַמֵּדvay/lam/MEDand taughtבְּבָתֵּיbe/vat/TEin the houses ofכְנִסְתָּםkhe/nis/TAMtheir assemblyוַיְבַשֵּׂרvay/vas/SERand proclaimedבְּשׂוֹרַתbe/so/RATthe gospel ofהַמַּלְכוּתham/mal/KHUTthe kingdomוַיְרַפֵּאvay/rap/PEand healedכׇּל־מַחֲלָהkol-ma/cha/LAevery sicknessוְכׇל־מַדְוֶהve/KHOL-mad/VEand every diseaseבָּעָם׃ba/AMamong the people

    And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

36. 36

    וּבִרְאוֹתוֹu/vir/o/TOand when he sawאֶת־הַהֲמֹנִיםet-ha/ha/mo/NIMthe crowdsנִכְמְרוּnikh/me/RUwere stirredרַחֲמָיוra/cha/MAYVhis compassionsעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMon themכִּיkiforהֵםhemthey wereמִתְעַלְּפִיםmit/al/le/FIMfaintingוְנִדָּחִיםve/nid/da/CHIMand driven awayכַּצֹּאןkats/TSONas sheepאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאֵין־לָהֶםen-la/HEMhave noרֹעֶה׃ro/Eshepherd

    But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

    אָזazthenיְדַבֵּרye/dab/BERhe saidלְתַלְמִידָיוle/tal/mi/DAYVto his disciplesוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidרַבravis greatהַקָּצִירhak/ka/TSIRthe harvestוְהַפֹּעֲלִיםve/hap/po/a/LIMbut the workersמְעַטִּים׃me/at/TIMare few

    Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeהִתְפַּלְלוּhit/pal/LUprayאֶל־אֲדוֹןel-a/DONto the Lord ofהַקָּצִירhak/ka/TSIRthe harvestלִשְׁלֹחַlish/LO/achto sendפֹּעֲלִיםpo/a/LIMworkersלִקְצִירוֹ׃lik/tsi/ROinto his harvest

    Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
