1. 1

   וַיֵּרֶדvay/YE/redand he came downמִן־הָהָרmin-ha/HARfrom the mountainוַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand wentאַחֲרָיוa/cha/RAYVhimהֲמוֹןha/MONa crowd ofעַםampeopleרָב׃ravgreat

   When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.

2. 2

   וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאִישׁisha manמְצֹרָעme/tso/RAleprousבָּאbacameוַיִּשְׁתַּחוּ־לוֹvay/yish/TA/chu-loand worshiped himוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidאֲדֹנִיa/do/NImy Lordאִם־תִּרְצֶהim-tir/TSEif you wantתּוּכַלtu/KHALyou canלְטַהֲרֵנִי׃le/ta/ha/RE/nito cleanse me

   And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

   וַיִּשְׁלַחvay/yish/LACHand stretched outיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusאֶת־יָדוֹet-ya/DOhis handוַיִּגַּע־בּוֹvay/yig/GA-boand touched himוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidחָפֵץcha/FETSwillingאָנֹכִיa/no/KHII amטְהָרte/HARbe cleanוּבְרֶגַעu/ve/RE/gaand in a momentנִרְפְּאָהnir/pe/Awas healedצָרַעְתּוֹ׃tsa/ra/TOhis leprosy

   And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusרְאֵהre/Eseeאַל־תְּסַפֵּרal-te/sap/PERdo not tellלְאִישׁle/ISHanyoneוְלֵךְve/LEKHbut goהֵרָאֵהhe/ra/Eshow yourselfאֶל־הַכֹּהֵןel-hak/ko/HENto the priestוְהִקְרַבְתָּve/hik/rav/TAand offerאֶת־הַקָּרְבָּןet-hak/kor/BANthe offeringאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesלְעֵדוּתle/e/DUTfor a testimonyלָהֶם׃la/HEMto them

   And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכְּבֹאוֹke/vo/Owhen he cameאֶל־כְּפַר־נַחוּםel-Ke/FAR-na/CHUMinto Capernaumוַיִּגַּשׁvay/yig/GASHand came nearאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himשַׂר־מֵאָהsar-me/Aa centurionאֶחָדe/CHADoneוַיִּתְחַנֶּן־לוֹvay/yit/chan/NEN-loand pleaded with himלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

   And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,

   אֲדֹנִיa/do/NImy Lordהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdנַעֲרִיna/a/RImy servantנָפַלna/FALhas fallenלְמִשְׁכָּבle/mish/KAVto bedבְּבֵיתִיbe/ve/TIat homeוְהוּאve/HUand he isנְכֵהne/KHEcrippled inאֵבָרִיםe/va/RIMlimbsוּמְעֻנֶּהu/me/un/NEand afflictedעַד־מְאֹד׃ad-me/ODexceedingly

   And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.

7. 7

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאָבֹאa/VOI will comeוּרְפָאתִיו׃u/re/fa/TIVand heal him

   And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.

8. 8

   וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand answeredשַׂר־הַמֵּאָהsar-ham/me/Athe centurionוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidאֲדֹנִיa/do/NImy Lordנְקַלֹּתִיne/kal/lo/TII am too slightמֵאֲשֶׁרme/a/SHERthatתָּבֹאta/VOyou should comeבְּצֵלbe/TSELunder the shadow ofקוֹרָתִיko/ra/TImy roof beamרַקrakonlyדַבֶּר־נָאdab/BER-naspeak nowדָּבָרda/VARa wordוְנִרְפָּאve/nir/PAand will be healedנַעֲרִי׃na/a/RImy servant

   The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

   כִּיkiforאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIאִישׁisha manאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoתַּחַתTA/chatunderמֶמְשָׁלָהmem/sha/LAauthorityוְגַם־יֵשׁve/GAM-yeshand also there areתַּחַתTA/chatunderיָדִיya/DImy handאַנְשֵׁיan/SHEmen ofצָבָאtsa/VAwarוְאָמַרְתִּיve/a/mar/TIand I sayלָזֶהla/ZEto this oneלֵךְlekhgoוְהָלַךְve/ha/LAKHand he goesוְלָזֶהve/la/ZEand to this oneבּוֹאbocomeוּבָאu/VAand he comesוּלְעַבְדִּיu/le/av/DIand to my servantעֲשֵׂה־זֹאתa/SE-zotdo thisוְעָשָׂה׃ve/a/SAand he does

   For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

    וַיִּשְׁמַעvay/yish/MAand heardיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusוַיִּתְמַהּvay/yit/MAand marveledוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֶל־הַהֹלְכִיםel-ha/hol/KHIMto those who walkedאַחֲרָיוa/cha/RAYVafter himאָמֵןa/MENamenאֹמֵרo/MERsayאֲנִיa/NIIלָכֶםla/KHEMto youגַּם־בְּיִשְׂרָאֵלgam-Be/yis/ra/ELeven in Israelלֹא־מָצָאתִיlo-ma/TSA/tiI have not foundאֱמוּנָהe/mu/NAfaithרַבָּהrab/BAgreatכָּזֹאת׃ka/ZOTas this

    When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

    וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMto youרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyיָבֹאוּya/VO/uwill comeמִמִּזְרָחmim/miz/RACHfrom the eastוּמִמַּעֲרָבu/mim/ma/a/RAVand from the westוְיָסֵבּוּve/ya/seb/BUand will reclineעִם־אַבְרָהָםim-Av/ra/HAMwith Abrahamוְיִצְחָקve/Yits/CHAKand Isaacוְיַעֲקֹבve/Ya/a/KOVand Jacobבְּמַלְכוּתbe/mal/KHUTin the kingdom ofהַשָּׁמָיִם׃hash/sha/MA/yimheaven

    And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.

12. 12

    אֲבָלa/VALbutבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofהַמַּלְכוּתham/mal/KHUTthe kingdomהֵמָּהHEM/matheyיְגֹרֲשׂוּye/go/ra/SUwill be driven outאֶל־הַחֹשֶׁךְel-ha/CHO/shekhto the darknessהַחִיצוֹןha/chi/TSONouterשָׁםshamthereתִּהְיֶהtih/YEwill beהַיְלָלָהhay/la/LAthe wailingוַחֲרוֹקva/cha/ROKand the gnashing ofהַשִּׁנָּיִם׃hash/shin/NA/yimteeth

    But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

13. 13

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusאֶל־שַׂר־הַמֵּאָהel-sar-ham/me/Ato the centurionלֵךְlekhgoוְכֶאֱמוּנָתְךָve/khe/e/mu/na/te/KHAand as your faithכֵּןkensoיִהְיֶה־לָּךְyih/YE-lakhlet it be to youוַיֵּרָפֵאvay/ye/ra/FEand was healedנַעֲרוֹna/a/ROhis servantבַּשָּׁעָהbash/sha/Ain the hourהַהִיא׃ha/HIthat

    And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

14. 14

    וַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand cameיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusבֵּיתָהBE/tato the house ofפֶטְרוֹסFet/ROSPeterוַיַּרְאvay/YARand he sawאֶת־חֲמוֹתוֹet-cha/mo/TOhis wife's motherנֹפֶלֶתno/FE/letfallenלְמִשְׁכָּבle/mish/KAVto bedוְחוֹלַתve/cho/LATand sick withקַדָּחַת׃kad/da/CHATa fever

    And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever.

15. 15

    וַיִּגַּעvay/yig/GAand he touchedבְּיָדָהּbe/ya/DAher handוַתִּרֶףvat/TI/refand let go ofמִמֶּנָּהmim/MEN/naherהַקַּדָּחַתhak/kad/da/CHATthe feverוַתָּקׇםvat/TA/komand she aroseוַתְּשָׁרֲתֵם׃vat/te/sha/ra/TEMand served them

    And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.

16. 16

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passלְעֵתle/ETat the time ofעֶרֶבE/reveveningוַיָּבִיאוּvay/ya/VI/uthey broughtאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyאֲחוּזֵיa/chu/ZEseized byשֵׁדִיםshe/DIMdemonsוַיְגָרֶשׁvay/GA/reshand he drove outאֵת־הָרוּחוֹתet-ha/ru/CHOTthe spiritsבִּדְבַרbid/VARby the word ofפִּיוpivhis mouthוַיְרַפֵּאvay/rap/PEand healedאֵת־כׇּל־הַחוֹלִים׃et-kol-ha/cho/LIMall the sick

    When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:

17. 17

    לְמַלֹּאתle/mal/LOTto fulfillאֵת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhatדִּבֶּרdib/BERspokeיְשַׁעְיָהוּYe/sha/YA/huEsaiasהַנָּבִיאhan/na/VIthe prophetלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingחֳלָיֵנוּcho/la/YE/nuour infirmitiesהוּאhuheנָשָׂאna/SAtookוּמַכְאֹבֵינוּu/makh/o/VE/nuand our painsסְבָלָם׃se/va/LAMcarried them

    That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

18. 18

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכִּרְאוֹתkir/OTwhen sawיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהֲמוֹןha/MONa crowd ofעַםampeopleרַבravgreatסְבִיבֹתָיוse/vi/vo/TAYVabout himוַיְצַוvay/TSAVand he commandedלַעֲבֹרla/a/VORto cross overמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thereאֶל־עֵבֶרel-E/verto the other sideהַיָּם׃hay/YAMthe sea

    Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave commandment to depart unto the other side.

19. 19

    וַיִּגַּשׁvay/yig/GASHand came nearאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאַחַדa/CHADone ofהַסּוֹפְרִיםhas/sof/RIMthe scribesוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himרַבִּיrab/BIrabbiאֵלְכָהel/KHAI will goאַחֲרֶיךָa/cha/RE/khaafter youאֶלeltoכׇּל־אֲשֶׁרkol-a/SHERwhereverתֵּלֵךְ׃te/LEKHyou go

    And a certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.

20. 20

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusלַשׂוּעָלִיםla/su/a/LIMthe foxes haveיֵשׁ־חוֹרִיםyesh-cho/RIMthere are holesוּלְעוֹףu/le/OFand the birds ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe skyקִנִּיםkin/NIMnestsוּבֶן־הָאָדָםu/VEN-ha/a/DAMbut the Son of manאֵיןenthere is notלוֹlofor himמָקוֹםma/KOMa placeלְהַנִּיחַle/han/NI/achto layאֶת־רֹאשׁוֹ׃et-ro/SHOhis head

    And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

21. 21

    וְאִישׁve/ISHand a manאַחֵרa/CHERanotherמִן־הַתַּלְמִידִיםmin-hat/tal/mi/DIMof the disciplesאָמַרa/MARsaidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאֲדֹנִיa/do/NImy Lordהַנִּיחָה־לִּיhan/NI/cha-liallow meוְאֵלֵךְve/e/LEKHand I will goבָּרִאשׁוֹנָהba/ri/sho/NAfirstלִקְבֹּרlik/BORand buryאֶת־אָבִי׃et-a/VImy father

    And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.

22. 22

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusלֵךְlekhgoאַחֲרָיa/cha/RAYafter meוְהַנַּחve/han/NACHand leaveלַמֵּתִיםlam/me/TIMthe deadלִקְבֹּרlik/BORburyאֶת־מֵתֵיהֶם׃et-me/te/HEMtheir dead

    But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.

23. 23

    וַיֵּרֶדvay/YE/redand he went downאֶל־הׇאֳנִיָּהel-ho/o/niy/YAinto the boatוַיֵּרְדוּvay/yer/DUwent downאִתּוֹit/TOwith himתַּלְמִידָיו׃tal/mi/DAYVhis disciples

    And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.

24. 24

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdסַעַרSA/ara stormגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatהָיָהha/YAthere wasבַיָּםvay/YAMin the seaעַד־אֲשֶׁרad-a/SHERso thatכִּסּוּkis/SUcoveredהַגַּלִּיםhag/gal/LIMthe wavesאֶת־הׇאֳנִיָּהet-ho/o/niy/YAthe boatוְהוּאve/HUbut heיָשֵׁן׃ya/SHENwas sleeping

    And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.

25. 25

    וַיִּגְּשׁוּvay/yig/ge/SHUand came nearאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himתַּלְמִידָיוtal/mi/DAYVhis disciplesוַיָּעִירוּvay/ya/i/RUand wokeאוֹתוֹo/TOhimלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingהוֹשִׁיעֵנוּho/shi/E/nusave usאֲדֹנֵינוּa/do/NE/nuour Lordאָבָדְנוּ׃a/VAD/nuwe are perishing

    And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.

26. 26

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themקְטַנֵּיke/tan/NEO small ofאֱמוּנָהe/mu/NAfaithמַהmawhyחֲרֵדִיםcha/re/DIMtremblingאַתֶּםat/TEMare youוַיָּקׇםvay/YA/komand he aroseוַיִּגְעַרvay/yig/ARand rebukedבָּרוּחוֹתba/ru/CHOTthe windsוּבַיָּםu/vay/YAMand the seaוַתְּהִיvat/te/HIand there wasדְּמָמָהde/ma/MAa calmרַבָּה׃rab/BAgreat

    And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

27. 27

    וַיִּתְמְהוּvay/yit/me/HUand marveledהָאֲנָשִׁיםha/a/na/SHIMthe menוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand saidמִיmiwhoאֵפוֹאe/FOthenהוּאhuis heאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatגַּם־הָרוּחוֹתgam-ha/ru/CHOTeven the windsוְהַיָּםve/hay/YAMand the seaאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himיִשְׁמָעוּן׃yish/ma/UNlisten

    But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

28. 28

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכְּבֹאוֹke/vo/Owhen he cameאֶל־עֵבֶרel-E/verto the other sideהַיָּםhay/YAMof the seaאֶל־אֶרֶץel-E/retsinto the land ofהַגִּרְגָּשִׁיִּםhag/Gir/ga/shiy/YIMthe Gergesenesוַיִּפְגְּשׁוּהוּvay/yif/ge/shu/HUand met himשְׁנֵיshe/NEtwoאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenאֲחוּזֵיa/chu/ZEseized byשֵׁדִיםshe/DIMdemonsיֹצְאִיםyots/IMcoming outמִבָּתֵּיmib/bat/TEfrom the houses ofהַקְּבָרוֹתhak/ke/va/ROTthe gravesוְהֵמָּהve/HEM/maand they wereרַגְזָנִיםrag/za/NIMviolentמְאֹדme/ODveryעַדaduntilאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹא־יָכֹלlo-ya/KHOLcould notאִישׁisha manלַעֲבֹרla/a/VORpassבַּדֶּרֶךְbad/DE/rekhby the wayהַהוּא׃ha/HUthat

    And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdהֵםhemtheyצֹעֲקִיםtso/a/KIMcrying outלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingמָהmawhatלָּנוּLA/nuto usוָלָךְva/LAKHand to youיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusבֶּןbenson ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodהֲבָאתָha/va/TAhave you comeהֲלֹםha/LOMhereלְעַנּוֹתֵנוּle/an/no/te/NUto torment usבְּלֹאbe/LObeforeעֵת׃etthe time

    And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?

30. 30

    וְשָׁםve/SHAMand there wasעֵדֶרE/dera herd ofחֲזִירִיםcha/zi/RIMpigsרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyרֹעִיםro/IMgrazingהַרְחֵקhar/CHEKfarמֵהֶם׃me/HEMfrom them

    And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding.

31. 31

    וַיִּתְחַנֲנוּvay/yit/cha/na/NUand pleadedאֵלָיוe/LAYVhimהַשֵּׁדִיםhash/she/DIMthe demonsלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingאִםimifתְּגָרֲשֵׁנוּte/ga/ra/she/NUyou cast us outתְּנָהte/NAallowלָּנוּLA/nuusלָבוֹאla/VOto enterבְּעֵדֶרbe/E/derinto the herd ofהַחֲזִירִים׃ha/cha/zi/RIMthe pigs

    So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.

32. 32

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themלֵכוּLE/khugoוַיֵּצְאוּvay/yets/Uand they came outוַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand wentבְּעֵדֶרbe/E/derinto the herd ofהַחֲזִירִיםha/cha/zi/RIMthe pigsוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdהִשְׂתָּעֵרhis/ta/ERrushedכׇּל־עֵדֶרkol-E/derthe whole herd ofהַחֲזִירִיםha/cha/zi/RIMthe pigsמִן־הַמּוֹרָדmin-ham/mo/RADdown the slopeאֶל־הַיָּםel-hay/YAMinto the seaוַיָּמוּתוּvay/ya/MU/tuand diedבַּמָּיִם׃bam/MA/yimin the waters

    And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.

33. 33

    וַיָּנוּסוּvay/ya/NU/suand fledהָרֹעִיםha/ro/IMthe herdsmenוַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand wentהָעִירָהha/I/rainto the cityוַיַּגִּידוּvay/yag/GI/duand toldאֶת־הַכֹּלet-hak/KOLeverythingוְאֵתve/ETandאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhatנַעֲשָׂהna/a/SAhad happenedלַאֲחוּזֵיla/a/chu/ZEto those seized byהַשֵּׁדִים׃hash/she/DIMthe demons

    And they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told every thing, and what was befallen to the possessed of the devils.

34. 34

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdכׇּל־הָעִירkol-ha/IRthe whole cityיָצְאָהya/tse/Acame outלִקְרַאתlik/RATto meetיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusוְכִרְאוֹתָםve/khir/o/TAMand when they sawאֹתוֹo/TOhimוַיְבַקְשׁוּvay/vak/SHUthey askedמִמֶּנּוּmim/MEN/nuhimלַעֲבֹרla/a/VORto passמִגְּבוּלָם׃mig/ge/vu/LAMfrom their border

    And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their coasts.
