   In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

   וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdרָעָשׁra/ASHan earthquakeגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatהָיָהha/YAthere wasכִּי־מַלְאַךְki-mal/AKHfor the angel ofיְהוָֹהAdonaithe LORDיָרַדya/RADcame downמִן־הַשָּׁמַיִםmin-hash/sha/MA/yimfrom heavenוַיִּגַּשׁvay/yig/GASHand came nearוַיָּגֶלvay/YA/geland rolledאֶת־הָאֶבֶןet-ha/E/venthe stoneמִן־הַפֶּתַחmin-hap/PE/tachfrom the openingוַיֵּשֶׁבvay/YE/shevand satעָלֶיהָ׃a/LE/haon it

   And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

   וּמַרְאֵהוּu/mar/E/huand his appearanceכְּמַרְאֵהke/mar/Ewas like the appearance ofהַבָּרָקhab/ba/RAKlightningוּלְבוּשׁוֹu/le/vu/SHOand his clothingלָבָןla/VANwhiteכַּשָּׁלֶג׃kash/SHA/leglike snow

   His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

   וַיִּבָּהֲלוּvay/yib/ba/ha/LUand were terrifiedהַשֹּׁמְרִיםhash/shom/RIMthe guardsמִפַּחְדּוֹmip/pach/DOfor fear of himוַיִּהְיוּvay/yih/YUand they wereכַּמֵּתִים׃kam/me/TIMlike the dead

   And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.

   וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand answeredהַמַּלְאָךְham/mal/AKHthe angelוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֶל־הַנָּשִׁיםel-han/na/SHIMto the womenאַתֵּןat/TENyouאַל־תִּירֶאןָal-ti/re/NAdo not fearהֵןhenbeholdיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowכִּיkithatאֶת־יֵשׁוּעַet-Ye/SHU/aJesusהַנִּצְלָבhan/nits/LAVwho was crucifiedאַתֵּןat/TENyouמְבַקְשׁוֹת׃me/vak/SHOTare seeking

   And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

   הוּאhuheאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nuis notפֹהfohereכִּי־קָםki-kamfor he has risenכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasאָמָרa/MARhe saidבֹּאנָהbo/NAcomeוּרְאֶינָהu/re/E/naand seeאֶת־הַמָּקוֹםet-ham/ma/KOMthe placeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereשָׁכַב־שָׁםsha/KHAV-shamlay thereהָאָדוֹן׃ha/a/DONthe Lord

   He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

   לֵכְנָהLEKH/nagoמַהֵרma/HERquicklyוְהִגַּדְתֶּןve/hig/gad/TENand tellלְתַלְמִידָיוle/tal/mi/DAYVhis disciplesכִּיkithatקָםkamhe has risenמִן־הַמֵּתִיםmin-ham/me/TIMfrom the deadוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdהוּאhuheהוֹלֵךְho/LEKHis goingלִפְנֵיכֶםlif/ne/KHEMbefore youהַגָּלִילָהhag/Ga/LI/lato Galileeוְשָׁםve/SHAMand thereתִּרְאֻהוּtir/u/HUyou will see himהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tiI have toldלָכֶן׃la/KHENyou

   And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

   וַתְּמַהֵרְנָהvat/te/ma/her/NAand they hurriedוַתֵּצֶאנָהvat/te/TSE/naand went outמִן־הַקֶּבֶרmin-hak/KE/verfrom the tombבְּיִרְאָהbe/yir/Awith fearוּבְשִׂמְחָהu/ve/sim/CHAand joyגְדוֹלָהge/do/LAgreatוַתָּרֹצְנָהvat/ta/rots/NAand ranלְסַפֵּרle/sap/PERto tellאֶל־תַּלְמִידָיו׃el-tal/mi/DAYVto his disciples

   And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.

   הֵנָּהHEN/naas theyהֹלְכוֹתhol/KHOTwere goingלְסַפֵּרle/sap/PERto tellאֶל־תַּלְמִידָיוel-tal/mi/DAYVto his disciplesוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusנִקְרֶהnik/REmetאֲלֵיהֶןa/le/HENthemוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMpeaceלָכֶןla/KHENto youוַתִּגַּשְׁנָהvat/tig/gash/NAand they came nearוַתֹּאחַזְנָהvat/to/chaz/NAand took hold ofבְרַגְלָיוve/rag/LAYVby the feetוַתִּשְׁתַּחֲוֶיןָvat/tish/ta/cha/VE/naand bowed downלוֹ׃loto him

   And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶןa/le/HENto themיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusאַל־תִּירֶאןָal-ti/re/NAdo not fearלֵכְנָהLEKH/nagoוְהַגֵּדְנָהve/hag/ged/NAand tellלְאַחַיle/a/CHAYmy brothersוְיֵלְכוּve/yel/KHUand let them goהַגָּלִילָהhag/Ga/LI/lato Galileeוְשָׁםve/SHAMand thereיִרְאוּנִי׃yir/U/nithey will see me

    Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passבְלֶכְתָּןve/lekh/TANas they wentוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenמִן־הַמִּשְׁמָרmin-ham/mish/MARof the guardבָּאוּBA/ucameהָעִירָהha/I/rato the cityוַיַּגִּידוּvay/yag/GI/duand toldלְרָאשֵׁיle/ra/SHEto the chiefs ofהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsאֵת־כׇּל־הַנַּעֲשָׂה׃et-kol-han/na/a/SAall that was done

    Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.

    וַיִּקָּהֲלוּvay/yik/ka/ha/LUand they assembledעִם־הַזְּקֵנִיםim-haz/ze/ke/NIMwith the eldersוַיִּתְיָעָצוּvay/yit/ya/a/TSUand took counselוַיִּתְּנוּ־כֶסֶףvay/yit/te/NU-KHE/sefand they gave silverלָרֹבla/ROVin abundanceאֶל־אַנְשֵׁיel-an/SHEto the men ofהַצָּבָאhats/tsa/VAthe armyלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,

13. 13

    אִמְרוּ־נָאim/RU-nasay nowכִּי־בָאוּki-VA/uthat cameתַלְמִידָיוtal/mi/DAYVhis disciplesלָיְלָהLAY/laby nightוַיִּגְנְבוּvay/yig/ne/VUand stoleאוֹתוֹo/TOhimוַאֲנַחְנוּva/a/NACH/nuand weיְשֵׁנִים׃ye/she/NIMwere sleeping

    Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.

14. 14

    וְאִם־יִשָּׁמַעve/IM-yish/sha/MAand if is heardהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe matterבֵּיתbetin the house ofהַהֶגְמוֹןha/heg/MONthe governorאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweנְפַיְסֵהוּne/fay/se/HUwill appease himוְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMand youאַל־תִּירָאוּ׃al-ti/RA/udo not fear

    And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.

15. 15

    וַיִּקְחוּvay/yik/CHUand they tookאֶת־הַכֶּסֶףet-hak/KE/sefthe silverוַיַּעֲשׂוּvay/ya/a/SUand didכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasשָׂמוּSA/muthey putבְּפִיהֶםbe/fi/HEMin their mouthוַתֵּצֵאvat/te/TSEand went outהַשְּׁמוּעָהhash/she/mu/Areportהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisבֵּיןbenamongהַיְּהוּדִיםhay/Ye/hu/DIMthe Jewsעַדaduntilהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

    וְעַשְׁתֵּי־עָשָׂרve/ash/TE-a/SARand the elevenהַתַּלְמִידִיםhat/tal/mi/DIMdisciplesהָלְכוּha/le/KHUwentהַגָּלִילָהhag/Ga/LI/lato Galileeאֶל־הָהָרel-ha/HARto the mountainאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereאָמַרa/MARhad toldלָהֶםla/HEMthemיֵשׁוּעַ׃Ye/SHU/aJesus

    Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

17. 17

    וַיִּרְאוּvay/yir/Uand they sawאֹתוֹo/TOhimוַיִּשְׁתַּחֲווּ־לוֹvay/yish/ta/cha/VU-loand bowed down to himוְיֵשׁve/YESHand there wereמֵהֶםme/HEMof themאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoseחָלַקcha/LAKwas dividedלִבָּם׃lib/BAMtheir heart

    And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.

18. 18

    וַיִּגַּשׁvay/yig/GASHand came nearיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusוַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingנִתַּן־לִיnit/TAN-lihas been given to meכׇּל־שָׁלְטָןkol-sha/le/TANall authorityבַּשָּׁמַיִםbash/sha/MA/yimin heavenוּבָאָרֶץ׃u/va/A/retsand on the earth

    And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19. 19

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeלְכוּle/KHUgoוְלַמְּדוּve/lam/me/DUand teachאֶת־כׇּל־הַגּוֹיִםet-kol-hag/go/YIMall nationsוּטְבַלְתֶּםu/te/val/TEMand baptizeאֹתָםo/TAMthemבְּשֵׁםbe/SHEMin the name ofהָאָבha/AVthe Fatherוְהַבֵּןve/hab/BENand of the Sonוְרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁ׃ve/RU/ach-hak/KO/deshand of the Holy Spirit

    Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20. 20

    וְלִמַּדְתֶּםve/lim/mad/TEMand teachאֹתָםo/TAMthemלִשְׁמֹרlish/MORto observeאֶת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁרet-kol-a/SHERall thatצִוִּיתִיtsiv/VI/tiI have commandedאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאָנֹכִיa/no/KHII amאִתְּכֶםit/te/KHEMwith youכׇּל־הַיָּמִיםkol-hay/ya/MIMall the daysעַד־קֵץad-ketsuntil the end ofהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldאָמֵן׃a/MENamen

    Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
