1. 1

   וַיֵּצֵא־יֵשׁוּעַAnd Jesus went out,מִן־הַמִּקְדָּשׁand departed from the temple:לָלֶכֶתto goלְדַרְכּוֹon his way,וַיִּגְּשׁוּand cameתַּלְמִידָיוhis disciplesלְהַרְאוֹתוֹto him for to shew himאֶת־בִּנְיְנֵיthe buildings ofהַמִּקְדָּשׁ׃the temple.

   And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.

2. 2

   וַיַּעַןAnd answeredיֵשׁוּעַJesusוַיֹּאמֶרand saidאֲלֵיהֶםunto them,הַרְאִיתֶםSee you notאֶת־כׇּל־אֵלֶּהall these things?אָמֵןverilyאֹמֵרsayאֲנִיIלָכֶםunto you,לֹא־תִשָׁאֵרThere shall not be leftפֹּהhereאֶבֶןone stoneעַל־אֶבֶןupon another,אֲשֶׁרthatלֹאnotתִתְפָּרָק׃shall be thrown down.

   And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

   וַיֵּשֵׁבAnd as he satעַל־הַרupon the mount ofהַזֵּיתִיםOlives,וַיִּגְּשׁוּcameאֵלָיוunto himהַתַּלְמִידִיםthe disciplesלְבַדָּםprivately,וַיֹּאמְרוּsaying,אֱמׇר־נָאTellלָנוּus,מָתַיwhenתִּהְיֶהshall beזֹאתthese things?וּמָהand what shall beאוֹתthe sign ofבּוֹאֲךָyour coming,וְאוֹתand ofקֵץthe end ofהָעוֹלָם׃the world?

   And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

4. 4

   וַיַּעַןAnd answeredיֵשׁוּעַJesusוַיֹּאמֶרand saidלָהֶםunto them,רְאוּTake heedפֶּן־יַתְעֶהthat deceiveאֶתְכֶםyou.אִישׁ׃no man

   And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5. 5

   כִּיForרַבִּיםmanyיָבֹאוּshall comeבִּשְׁמִיin my name,לֵאמֹרsaying,אֲנִיIהוּאamהַמָּשִׁיחַChrist;וְהִתְעוּand shall deceiveרַבִּים׃many.

   For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

6. 6

   וְאַתֶּםAnd youעֲתִידִיםshall be aboutלִשְׁמֹעַto hearמִלְחָמוֹתof warsוּשְׁמֻעוֹתand rumors ofמִלְחָמָהwars:רְאוּseeפֶּן־תִּבָּהֵלוּthat you be not troubled:כִּי־הָיוֹfor mustתִהְיֶהcome to pass,כׇּל־זֹאתall these thingsאַךְbutעֲדֶןyetאֵיןis notהַקֵּץ׃the end.

   And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7. 7

   כִּיForיָקוּםshall riseגּוֹיnationעַל־גּוֹיagainst nation,וּמַמְלָכָהand kingdomעַל־מַמְלָכָהagainst kingdom:וְהָיָהand there shall beרָעָבfamines,וְדֶבֶרand pestilences,וָרַעַשׁand earthquakes,הֵנָּהin diversוָהֵנָּה׃places.

   For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

8. 8

   וְכׇל־אֵלֶּהAll theseרַקareרֵאשִׁיתthe beginning ofהַחֲבָלִים׃sorrows.

   All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9. 9

   אָזThenיַסְגִּירוּshall they deliverאֶתְכֶםyouלַצָּרָהup to be afflicted,וְהֵמִיתוּand shall killאֶתְכֶםyou:וִהְיִיתֶםand you shall beשְׂנוּאִיםhatedלְכׇל־הַגּוֹיִםof all nationsלְמַעַןforשְׁמִי׃my name's sake.

   Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

10. 10

    וְאָזAnd thenיִכָּשְׁלוּshall be offendedרַבִּיםmanyוּמָסְרוּand shall betrayאִישׁoneאֶת־רֵעֵהוּanother,וְשָׂנְאוּand shall hateאִישׁoneאֶת־אָחִיו׃another.

    And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11. 11

    וּנְבִיאֵיAnd prophetsשֶׁקֶרfalseרַבִּיםmanyיָקוּמוּshall rise,וְהִתְעוּand shall deceiveרַבִּים׃many.

    And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

12. 12

    וּמִפְּנֵיAnd becauseאֲשֶׁרthatיִרְבֶּהshall abound,הַפֶּשַׁעiniquityתָּפוּגshall wax cold.אַהֲבַתthe love ofהָרַבִּים׃many

    And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

13. 13

    וְהַמְחַכֶּהBut he that shall endureעַד־עֵתuntoקֵץthe end,הוּאthe sameיִוָּשֵׁעַ׃shall be saved.

    But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

14. 14

    וְתִקָּרֵאAnd shall be preachedבְּשׂוֹרַתthe gospel ofהַמַּלְכוּתthe kingdomהַזֹּאתthisבְּכׇל־הָאָרֶץin all the worldלְעֵדוּתfor a witnessלְכׇל־הַגּוֹיִםunto all nations;וְאַחַרand thenיָבוֹאshall comeהַקֵּץ׃the end.

    And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

15. 15

    לָכֵןthereforeכַּאֲשֶׁרWhenתִּרְאוּyou shall seeאֶת־שִׁקּוּץthe abomination ofמְשֹׁמֵםdesolation,אֲשֶׁרwhich wasאָמַרspoken ofדָּנִיֵּאלby Danielהַנָּבִיאthe prophet,עוֹמֵדstandבְּמָקוֹםin place,קָדוֹשׁthe holyהַקֹּרֵאwhoso readeth,יָבִין׃let him understand:

    When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

16. 16

    אָזThenנוֹסletיָנוּסוּthem fleeאַנְשֵׁיwhich be inיְהוּדָהJudaeaאֶל־הֶהָרִים׃into the mountains:

    Then let them which be in Judæa flee into the mountains:

17. 17

    וַאֲשֶׁרLet him which isעַל־הַגָּגon the housetopאַל־יֵרֵדnot come downלָשֵׂאתto takeדָּבָרany thingמִבֵּיתוֹ׃out of his house:

    Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

18. 18

    וַאֲשֶׁרNeither let him which isבַּשָּׂדֶהin the fieldאַל־יָשֹׁבreturnהַבַּיְתָהbackלָשֵׂאתto takeאֶת־מַלְבּוּשׁוֹ׃his clothes.

    Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

19. 19

    וְאוֹיAnd woeלֶהָרוֹתunto them that are with child,וְלַמֵּינִיקוֹתand to them that give suckבַּיָּמִיםin days!הָהֵם׃those

    And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

20. 20

    אַךְButהִתְפַּלֲלוּpray youשֶׁלּאthat notתִּהְיֶהbeמְנוּסַתְכֶםyour flightבַּחֹרֶףin the winter,וְלֹאneitherבַּשַּׁבָּת׃on the sabbath day:

    But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

21. 21

    כִּיForאָזthenתִּהְיֶהshall beצָרָהtribulation,גְדוֹלָהgreatאֲשֶׁרsuch asכָּמוֹהָthe likeלֹא־נִהְיְתָהwas notמֵרֵאשִׁיתsince the beginning ofהָעוֹלָםthe worldוְעַד־עַתָּהto this time,וְכָמוֹהָno, norלֹאeverתוֹסִף׃shall be.

    For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22. 22

    וְלוּלֵאAnd exceptנִקְצְרוּshould be shortened,הַיָּמִיםdaysהָהֵםthoseלֹאthere should noיִנָּצֵלbe saved:כׇּל־בָּשָׂרfleshאַךְbutלְמַעַןforהַבְּחִירִיםthe elect's sakeיִקָּצְרוּshall be shortened.הַיָּמִיםdaysהָהֵם׃those

    And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

23. 23

    וְכִי־יֹאמַרThen if shall sayאֲלֵיכֶםunto you,אִישׁany manבָּעֵתin thatהַהִיאtime,הִנֵּה־פֹהLo, here isהַמָּשִׁיחַChrist,אוֹorהִנּוֹ־שָׁםthere;אַל־תַּאֲמִינוּ׃believe it not.

    Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

24. 24

    כִּיForיָקוּמוּthere shall ariseמְשִׁיחֵיChrists,שֶׁקֶרfalseוּנְבִיאֵיand prophets,שֶׁקֶרfalseוְיִתְּנוּand shall shewאֹתוֹתsignsגְּדֹלוֹתgreatוּמוֹפְתִיםand wonders;לְמַעַןinsomuch that,הַתְעוֹתthey shall deceiveאַףevenאֶת־הַבְּחִירִיםthe very elect.אִם־יוּכָלוּ׃if it were possible,

    For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25. 25

    הִנֵּהBehold,מֵרֹאשׁbeforehandהִגַּדְתִּיI have toldלָכֶם׃you.

    Behold, I have told you before.

26. 26

    לָכֵןWhereforeכִּי־יֹאמְרוּif they shall sayאֲלֵיכֶםunto you,הִנּוֹBehold, he isבַמִּדְבָּרin the desert;אַל־תֵּצֵאוּgo not forth:הִנּוֹbehold, he isבַחֲדָרִיםin the secret chambers;אַל־תַּאֲמִינוּ׃believe it not.

    Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

27. 27

    כִּיForכַבָּרָקas the lightningהַיּוֹצֵאcomethמִמִּזְרָחout of the east,וּמֵאִירand shinethעַד־הַמַּעֲרָבeven unto the west;כֵּןsoיִהְיֶהshallגַּם־בּוֹאוֹalso the comingשֶׁל־בֶּן־הָאָדָם׃of the Son of man be.

    For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

28. 28

    כִּיForבַאֲשֶׁרwheresoeverהֶחָלָלthe carcaseשָׁםis, thereיִקָּבְצוּwill be gathered togetherהַנְּשָׁרִים׃the eagles.

    For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

29. 29

    וּמִיָּדImmediatelyאַחֲרֵיafterצָרַתthe tribulation ofהַיָּמִיםdaysהָהֵםthoseתֶּחְשַׁךְshall be darkened,הַשֶּׁמֶשׁthe sunוְהַיָּרֵחַand the moonלֹאnotיַגִּיהַּshall giveאוֹרוֹher light,וְהַכּוֹכָבִיםand the starsיִפְּלוּshall fallמִן־הַשָׁמָיִםfrom heaven,וַחֲיָלֵיand the powers ofהַשָּׁמַיִםthe heavensיִתְמוֹטָטוּ׃shall be shaken:

    Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30. 30

    אָזAnd thenיֵרָאֶהshall appearאוֹתthe sign ofבֶּן־הָאָדָםthe Son of manבַּשָׁמָיִםin heaven:וְסָפְדוּand then shall mournכׇּל־מִשְׁפְּחוֹתall the tribes ofהָאָרֶץthe earth,וְרָאוּand they shall seeאֶת־בֶּן־הָאָדָםthe Son of manבָּאcomingעִם־עַנֲנֵיin the clouds ofהַשָּׁמַיִםheavenבִּגְבוּרָהwith powerוְכָבוֹדand gloryרָב׃great.

    And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31. 31

    וְשָׁלַחAnd he shall sendאֶת־מַלְאָכָיוhis angelsבְּקוֹלwith a sound ofשׁוֹפָרa trumpetגָּדוֹלgreatוְקִבְּצוּand they shall gather togetherאֶת־בְּחִירָיוhis electמֵאַרְבַּעfrom the fourהָרוּחוֹתwinds,לְמִקְצֵהfrom one end ofהַשָּׁמַיִםheavenוְעַדtoקְצֵהthe other end ofהַשָׁמָיִם׃heaven.

    And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

32. 32

    וּמִן־הַתְּאֵנָהNow of the fig treeלִמְדוּlearnאֶת־הַמָּשָׁלthe parableהַזֶּהthis;כַּאֲשֶׁרWhenיִרְטַבis yet tender,עֲנָפָהּhis branchוּפָרְחוּand putteth forthעָלֶיהָleaves,יְדַעְתֶּםyou knowכִּיthatקָרוֹבis nigh:הַקָּיִץ׃summer

    Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

33. 33

    כֵּןSo likewiseגַּם־אַתֶּםyou,בִּרְאוֹתְכֶםwhen you shall seeאֶת־כׇּל־אֵלֶּהall these things,דְּעוּknowכִּי־קָרוֹבthat it is near,הוּאit is,בַּפָּתַח׃even at the doors.

    So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

34. 34

    אָמֵןVerilyאֹמֵרsayאֲנִיIלָכֶםunto you,כִּיthatלֹאshall notיַעֲבֹרpass,הַדּוֹרgenerationהַזֶּהThisעַדtillאֲשֶׁר־יִהְיוּbe fulfilled.כׇל־אֵלֶּה׃all these things

    Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

35. 35

    הַשָּׁמַיִםHeavenוְהָאָרֶץand earthיַעֲבֹרוּshall pass away,וּדְבָרַיbut my wordsלֹאshall notיַעֲבֹרוּן׃pass away.

    Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

36. 36

    וְהַיּוֹםBut of dayהַהוּאthatוְהַשָׁעָהand hourהַהִיאthat,אֵיןnoאִישׁmanיוֹדֵעַknoweth,גַּם־לֹאno, notמַלְאָכֵיthe angels ofהַשָּׁמַיִםheaven,בִּלְתִּיbutאָבִיmy Fatherלְבַדּוֹ׃only.

    But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

37. 37

    וְכִימֵיBut as the days ofנֹחַNoeכֵּןsoיִהְיֶהshall beגַּם־בּוֹאוֹalso the comingשֶׁל־בֶּן־הָאָדָם׃of the Son of man.

    But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38. 38

    כִּיForכַּאֲשֶׁרasלִפְנֵיinיְמֵיthe days that were beforeהַמַּבּוּלthe floodהָיוּthey wereאֹכְלִיםeatingוְשֹׁתִיםand drinking,נֹשְׂאִיםmarryingנָשִׁיםwives,וְנֹתְנִיםand givingנָשִׁיםwivesלַאֲנָשִׁיםto men,עַד־הַיּוֹםuntil the dayאֲשֶׁר־בָּאthat enteredנֹחַNoeאֶל־הַתֵּבָה׃into the ark,

    For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39. 39

    וְלֹאAndיָדְעוּknew notעַד־בּוֹאuntil came,הַמַּבּוּלthe floodוַיִּמַחand took awayאֶת־כֻּלָּםthem all;כֵּןsoיִהְיֶהshall beגַּם־בּוֹאוֹalso the comingשֶׁל־בֶּן־הָאָדָם׃of the Son of man.

    And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

40. 40

    אָזThenיִהְיוּshallשְׁנַיִםtwoבַּשָּׂדֶהbe in the field;וְיֵאָסֵףshall be taken,אֶחָדthe oneוְהָאֶחָדand the otherיֵעָזֵב׃left.

    Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

41. 41

    שְׁתַּיִםTwo womenבָּרֵחָיִםshall be grinding at the mill;וְתֵאָסֵףshall be taken,אַחַתthe oneוְאַחַתand the otherתֵּעָזֵב׃left.

    Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

42. 42

    לָכֵןthereforeשְׁקֹדוּWatchכִּיforאֵינְכֶםyou are notיוֹדְעִיםknowingבְּאֵי־זוֹwhatשָׁעָהhourיָבֹאdoth come.אֲדֹנֵיכֶם׃your Lord

    Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

43. 43

    וְאֶת־זֹאתBut thisדְּעוּknow,אֲשֶׁרthatלוּ־יָדַעif had knownבַּעַלthe goodman ofהַבַּיִתthe houseבְּאֵי־זוֹin whatאַשְׁמוּרָהwatchיָבֹאwould come,הַגַּנָּבthe thiefכִּי־עַתָּהhe would haveשָׁקַדwatched,וְלֹאand would notהִנִּיחַhave sufferedלַחְתֹּרto be broken upאֶת־בֵּיתוֹ׃his house.

    But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

44. 44

    לָכֵןThereforeהֱיוּbe youנְכוֹנִיםreadyגַּם־אַתֶּםalso:כִּיforבְשָׁעָהin such an hourאֲשֶׁרasלֹאnotתְדַמּוּyou thinkיָבוֹאcometh.בֶּן־הָאָדָם׃the Son of man

    Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

45. 45

    מִיWhoהוּאisאֵפוֹאthenהָעֶבֶדservant,הַנֶּאֱמַןa faithfulוְהַנָּבוֹןand wiseאֲשֶׁרwhomהִפְקִידוֹhath made rulerאֲדֹנָיוhis lordעַל־עֲבָדָיוover his household,לָתֵתto giveלָהֶםthemאֶת־אׇכְלָםmeatבְּעִתּוֹ׃in due season?

    Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

46. 46

    אַשְׁרֵיBlessed isהָעֶבֶדthat servant,אֲשֶׁרwhomיָבוֹאwhen he comethאֲדֹנָיוhis lordוְיִמְצָאֵהוּshall findעֹשֶׂהsoכֵּן׃doing.

    Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

47. 47

    אָמֵןVerilyאֹמֵרsayאֲנִיIלָכֶםunto you,כִּיThatיַפְקִידֵהוּhe shall make him rulerעַל־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁר־לוֹ׃over all his goods.

    Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

48. 48

    וְאִם־יֹאמַרBut and if shall sayהָעֶבֶדservantהָרַעthat evilבְּלִבּוֹin his heart,מְאַחֵרdelayethאֲדֹנִיMy lordלָבוֹא׃his coming;

    But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

49. 49

    וְהִכָּהAnd shall begin to smiteאֶת־חֲבֵרָיוhis fellowservants,וְאָכַלand to eatוְשָׁתָהand drinkעִם־הַסּוֹבְאִים׃with the drunken;

    And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

50. 50

    בּוֹאsurelyיָבוֹאshall comeאֲדֹנֵיThe lord ofהָעֶבֶדservantהַהוּאthatבְּיוֹםin a dayלֹאnotיְצַפֶּהwhen he looketh for him,וּבְשָׁעָהand in an hourלֹאnotיֵדָע׃that he is aware of,

    The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,

51. 51

    וִישַׁסֵּףAnd shall cut asunderאֹתוֹhim,וְיָשִׂיםand appointאֶת־חֶלְקוֹhim his portionעִם־הַחֲנֵפִיםwith the hypocrites:שָׁםthereתִּהְיֶהshall beהַיְלָלָהweepingוַחֲרֹקand gnashing ofהַשִׁנָּיִם׃teeth.

    And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
