   כִּיkiforדוֹמָהdo/MAis likeמַלְכוּתmal/KHUTthe kingdom ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimheavenלְאִישׁle/ISHto a manבַּעַל־בָּיִתBA/al-BA/yitmaster of a houseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהִשְׁכִּיםhish/KIMrose earlyבַּבֹּקֶרbab/BO/kerin the morningוַיֵּצֵאvay/ye/TSEand went outלִשְׂכֹּרlis/KORto hireפֹּעֲלִיםpo/a/LIMworkersלְכַרְמוֹ׃le/khar/MOfor his vineyard

   For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.

   וַיִּפְסַקvay/yif/SAKand he agreedעִםimwithהַפֹּעֲלִיםhap/po/a/LIMthe workersדִּינָרdi/NARfor a denariusלַיּוֹםlay/YOMa dayוַיִּשְׁלָחֵםvay/yish/la/CHEMand sent themאֶל־כַּרְמוֹ׃el-kar/MOinto his vineyard

   And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.

   וַיֵּצֵאvay/ye/TSEand he went outבַּשָּׁעָהbash/sha/Aat the hourהַשְּׁלִישִׁיתhash/she/li/SHITthirdוַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawאֲחֵרִיםa/che/RIMothersעֹמְדִיםom/DIMstandingבְּטֵלִיםbe/te/LIMidleבַּשּׁוּק׃bash/SHUKin the market

   And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלָהֶםla/HEMto themלְכוּle/KHUgoגַם־אַתֶּםgam-at/TEMyou alsoאֶל־כַּרְמִיel-kar/MIto my vineyardוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאֶתֵּןet/TENwill giveלָכֶםla/KHEMyouכַּמִּשְׁפָּטkam/mish/PATas is rightוַיֵּלֵכוּ׃vay/ye/LE/khuand they went

   And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.

   Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.

   וַיֵּצֵאvay/ye/TSEand he went outבִּשְׁעַתbish/ATat the hour ofעַשְׁתֵּי־עֶשְׂרֵהash/TE-es/REelevenוַיִּמְצָאvay/yim/TSAand foundאֲחֵרִיםa/che/RIMothersעֹמְדִיםom/DIMstandingבְּטֵלִיםbe/te/LIMidleוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themלָמָּהLAM/mawhyאַתֶּםat/TEMdo youעֹמְדִיםom/DIMstandפֹּהpohereבְּטֵלִיםbe/te/LIMidleכׇּל־הַיּוֹם׃kol-hay/YOMall the day

   And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?

   וַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidלוֹloto himכִּיkibecauseלֹא־שָׂכַרlo-sa/KHARhas not hiredאוֹתָנוּo/TA/nuusאִישׁisha manוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themלְכוּle/KHUgoגַם־אַתֶּםgam-at/TEMyou alsoאֶל־הַכֶּרֶםel-hak/KE/reminto the vineyardוְכַמִּשְׁפָּטve/kham/mish/PATand as is rightתִּקְחוּ׃tik/CHUyou shall receive

   They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.

8. 8

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passבָעֶרֶבva/E/revin the eveningוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidבַּעַלBA/althe master ofהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remthe vineyardאֶל־פְּקִידוֹel-pe/ki/DOto his overseerקְרָאke/RAcallאֶת־הַפֹּעֲלִיםet-hap/po/a/LIMthe workersוְתֵןve/TENand giveלָהֶםla/HEMto themאֶת־שְׂכָרָםet-se/kha/RAMtheir wageהָחֵלha/CHELbeginningבָּאַחֲרוֹנִיםba/a/cha/ro/NIMwith the lastוְכַלֵּהve/khal/LEand finishingבָּרִאשׁוֹנִים׃ba/ri/sho/NIMwith the first

   So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.

   וַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand cameהַנִּשְׂכָּרִיםhan/nis/ka/RIMthose hiredבִּשְׁעַתbish/ATat the hour ofאַחַת־עֶשְׂרֵהa/CHAT-es/REelevenוַיִּקְחוּvay/yik/CHUand they receivedאִישׁisheveryאִישׁishmanדִּינָרdi/NARa denariusאֶחָד׃e/CHADone

   And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.

10. 10

    וּבְבֹאu/ve/VOand when cameהָרִאשׁוֹנִיםha/ri/sho/NIMthe firstדִּמּוּdim/MUthey thoughtבְנַפְשָׁםve/naf/SHAMin their soulכִּיkithatיִקְחוּyik/CHUthey would receiveיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreוַיִּקְחוּvay/yik/CHUand they receivedגַּם־הֵםgam-hemthey alsoאִישׁisheveryאִישׁishmanדִּינָרdi/NARa denariusאֶחָד׃e/CHADone

    But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passבְקַחְתָּםve/kach/TAMwhen they receivedוַיִּלּוֹנוּvay/yil/LO/nuand they grumbledעַל־בַּעַלal-BA/alagainst the master ofהַבַּיִתhab/BA/yitthe houseלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house,

    אֵלֶּהEL/letheseהָאַחֲרוֹנִיםha/a/cha/ro/NIMthe lastלֹאlonotעָשׂוּa/SUhave workedכִּיkibutאִםimonlyשָׁעָהsha/Aan hourאֶחָתe/CHAToneוְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youהִשְׁוִיתָhish/vi/TAhave made equalאֹתָםo/TAMthemלָנוּLA/nuto usאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoסָבַלְנוּsa/val/NUhave borneאֶת־טֹרַחet-to/RACHthe burden ofהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayוְחֻמּוֹ׃ve/chum/MOand its heat

    Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.

    וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand he answeredוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֶל־אֶחָדel-e/CHADto oneמֵהֶםme/HEMof themרֵעִיre/Imy friendלֹאlonotהוֹנֵיתִיho/ne/TII have wrongedאֹתְךָot/KHAyouהֲלֹאha/LOdid notדִינָרdi/NARfor a denariusפָּסַקְתָּpa/sak/TAyou agreeעִמִּי׃im/MIwith me

    But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?

14. 14

    קַחkachtakeאֶת־שֶׁלְּךָet-shel/le/KHAwhat is yoursוָלֵךְva/LEKHand goוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iרְצוֹנִיre/tso/NImy will isשֶׁאֶתֵּןshe/et/TENthat I giveלָזֶהla/ZEto thisהָאַחֲרוֹןha/a/cha/RONlastכָּמוֹךָ׃ka/MO/khaas to you

    Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.

15. 15

    הֲלֹאha/LOis it notמֻתָּרmut/TARlawfulלִיlifor meלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTdoבְּשֶׁלִּיbe/shel/LIwith what is mineכִּרְצוֹנִיkir/tso/NIas I willהַאִם־תֵּרַעha/IM-te/RAis evilעֵינְךָe/ne/KHAyour eyeעַל־אֲשֶׁרal-a/SHERbecauseטוֹבtovgoodאָנִי׃A/niI am

    Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?

16. 16

    כֵּןkensoיִהְיוּyih/YUwill beהָאַחֲרוֹנִיםha/a/cha/ro/NIMthe lastרִאשׁוֹנִיםri/sho/NIMfirstוְהָרִאשׁוֹנִיםve/ha/ri/sho/NIMand the firstיִהְיוּyih/YUwill beאַחֲרוֹנִיםa/cha/ro/NIMlastכִּי־רַבִּיםki-rab/BIMfor manyהֵםhemareהַקְּרוּאִיםhak/ke/ru/IMthe calledוּמְעַטִּיםu/me/at/TIMand fewהַנִּבְחָרִים׃han/niv/cha/RIMthe chosen

    So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

17. 17

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכַּעֲלוֹתka/a/LOTwhen went upיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusיְרוּשָׁלַיִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimto Jerusalemוַיִּקַּחvay/yik/KACHhe tookאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאֶת־שְׁנֵים־הֶעָשָׂרet-she/NEM-he/a/SARthe twelveהַתַּלְמִידִיםhat/tal/mi/DIMdisciplesלְבַדָּםle/vad/DAMaloneוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלָהֶםla/HEMto themבַּדָּרֶךְ׃bad/DA/rekhon the way

    And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them,

18. 18

    הִנְנוּhin/NUbehold weעֹלִיםo/LIMare going upיְרוּשָׁלָיְמָהYe/ru/sha/la/ye/MAto Jerusalemוּבֶן־הָאָדָםu/VEN-ha/a/DAMand the Son of manיִמָּסֵרyim/ma/SERwill be deliveredלְרָאשֵׁיle/ra/SHEto the chiefs ofהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsוְלַסּוֹפְרִיםve/las/sof/RIMand to the scribesוְהִרְשִׁיעֻהוּve/hir/shi/u/HUand they will condemn himלָמוּת׃la/MUTto death

    Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,

19. 19

    וּמָסְרוּu/ma/se/RUand they will deliverאוֹתוֹo/TOhimלַגּוֹיִםlag/Go/YIMto the Gentilesלְהָתֵלle/ha/TELto mockבּוֹbohimוּלְהַכּוֹתu/le/hak/KOTand to strikeאוֹתוֹo/TOhimבַּשּׁוֹטִיםbash/sho/TIMwith whipsוְלִצְלֹבve/lits/LOVand to crucifyאוֹתוֹo/TOhimוּבַיּוֹםu/vay/YOMand on the dayהַשְּׁלִישִׁיhash/she/li/SHIthirdיָקוּם׃ya/KUMhe will rise

    And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.

20. 20

    אָזazthenנִגְּשָׁהnig/ge/SHAcame nearאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאֵםemthe mother ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofזַבְדַּיZav/DAYZebedeeעִם־בָּנֶיהָim-ba/NE/hawith her sonsוַתִּשְׁתַּחוּvat/tish/TA/chuand she bowed downלוֹloto himלְבַקֵּשׁle/vak/KESHto askמִמֶּנּוּmim/MEN/nuof himדָּבָר׃da/VARa thing

    Then came to him the mother of Zebedee's children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.

21. 21

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלֶיהָe/LE/hato herמַה־בַּקָּשָׁתֵךְma-bak/ka/sha/TEKHwhat is your requestוַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand she saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאֱמׇר־נָאe/MOR-nasay nowוְיֵשְׁבוּve/yesh/VUand let sitשְׁנֵי־בָנַיshe/NE-va/NAYmy two sonsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseאֶחָדe/CHADoneלִימִינְךָli/mi/ne/KHAon your right handוְאֶחָדve/e/CHADand oneלִשְׂמֹאלְךָlis/mo/le/KHAon your leftבְּמַלְכוּתֶךָ׃be/mal/khu/TE/khain your kingdom

    And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.

22. 22

    וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand answeredיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלֹאlodo notיְדַעְתֶּםye/da/TEMyou knowאֵת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhatשְׁאֶלְתֶּםshe/el/TEMyou askהֲיָכֹלha/ya/KHOLbe ableתּוּכְלוּtukh/LUare you ableלִשְׁתּוֹתlish/TOTto drinkאֶת־הַכּוֹסet-hak/KOSthe cupאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאֲנִיa/NIIעָתִידa/TIDam aboutלִשְׁתּוֹתוֹlish/to/TOto drink itוּלְהִטָּבֵלu/le/hit/ta/VELand to be baptizedטְבִילָהte/vi/LAthe baptismאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאֲנִיa/NIIנִטְבָּלnit/BALam baptizedוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himנוּכָל׃nu/KHALwe are able

    But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.

23. 23

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themהֵןhenindeedאֶת־כּוֹסִיet-ko/SImy cupתִשְׁתּוּtish/TUyou will drinkוּטְבִילָהu/te/vi/LAand with the baptismאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאֲנִיa/NIIנִטְבָּלnit/BALam baptizedתִּטָּבֵלוּtit/ta/ve/LUyou will be baptizedוְשֶׁבֶתve/SHE/vetbut sittingלִימִינִיli/mi/NIon my right handוְלִשְׂמֹאלִיve/lis/mo/LIand on my leftאֵיןenis notבְּיָדִיbe/ya/DIin my handלְתִתָּהּle/tit/TAto give itבִּלְתִּיbil/TIexceptלַאֲשֶׁרla/a/SHERto those whomהוּכַןhu/KHANit is preparedלָהֶםla/HEMfor themמֵאֵתme/ETbyאָבִי׃A/VImy Father

    And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

24. 24

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenשָׁמְעוּ־זֹאתsha/me/U-zotheard thisהָעֲשָׂרָהha/a/sa/RAthe tenוַיִּכְעֲסוּvay/yikh/a/SUand they were angryאֶל־שְׁנֵיel-she/NEwith the twoהָאַחִים׃ha/a/CHIMbrothers

    And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.

25. 25

    וְיֵשׁוּעַve/Ye/SHU/aand Jesusקָרָאka/RAcalledלָהֶםla/HEMto themוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidאַתֶּםat/TEMyouיְדַעְתֶּםye/da/TEMknowכִּי־שָׂרֵיki-sa/REthat the rulers ofהַגּוֹיִםhag/Go/YIMthe Gentilesרֹדִיםro/DIMruleבָּהֶםba/HEMover themוְהַגְּדוֹלִיםve/hag/ge/do/LIMand the great onesשֹׁלְטִיםshol/TIMhave powerעֲלֵיהֶם׃a/le/HEMupon them

    But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

26. 26

    וְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMbut youאַל־יְהִיal-ye/HIlet it not beכֵןkhensoבֵּינֵיכֶםbe/ne/KHEMamong youכִּיkibutהֶחָפֵץhe/cha/FETSwhoever desiresלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatבְּקִרְבְּכֶםbe/kir/be/KHEMamong youיְהִיye/HIlet him beלָכֶםla/KHEMyourלִמְשָׁרֵת׃lim/sha/RETa minister

    But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

27. 27

    וְהֶחָפֵץve/he/cha/FETSand whoever desiresלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beלְרֹאשׁle/ROSHthe headבְּקִרְבְּכֶםbe/kir/be/KHEMamong youיְהִיye/HIlet him beלָכֶםla/KHEMyourעָבֶד׃A/veda servant

    And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

28. 28

    כַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHEReven asבֶּן־הָאָדָםben-Ha/a/DAMthe Son of manלֹאlonotבָאvacameלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatאֲשֶׁר־יְשָׁרְתוּהוּa/SHER-ye/sha/re/tu/HUthey would serve himכִּיkibutאִםimratherלְשָׁרֵתle/sha/RETto serveוְלָתֵתve/la/TETand to giveאֶת־נַפְשׁוֹet-naf/SHOhis lifeכֹּפֶרKO/fera ransomתַּחַתTA/chatin place ofרַבִּים׃rab/BIMmany

    Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

29. 29

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכְּצֵאתָםke/tse/TAMas they went outמִירִיחוֹmI/ri/CHOfrom Jerichoוַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand wentאַחֲרָיוa/cha/RAYVafter himהֲמוֹןha/MONa crowd ofעַם־רָב׃am-ravmany people

    And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.

30. 30

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdשְׁנֵי־עִוְרִיםshe/NE-iv/RIMtwo blind menיֹשְׁבִיםyosh/VIMsittingעַל־יַדal-yadbesideהַדָּרֶךְhad/DA/rekhthe roadוַיִּשְׁמְעוּvay/yish/me/Uand they heardכִּיkithatיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusעֹבֵרo/VERwas passing byוַיִּצְעֲקוּvay/yits/a/KUand cried outלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingחָנֵּנוּ־נָאchan/NE/nu-nahave mercy on us nowאֲדֹנֵינוּa/do/NE/nuour Lordבֶּן־דָּוִד׃ben-Da/VIDson of David

    And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David.

31. 31

    וַיִּגְעַר־בָּםvay/yig/AR-bamand rebuked themהָעָםha/AMthe peopleלְהַחֲשֹׁתָםle/ha/cha/sho/TAMto silence themוְהֵםve/HEMbut theyצָעֲקוּtsa/a/KUcried outעוֹדodmoreוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֲדֹנֵינוּa/do/NE/nuour Lordחָנֵּנוּ־נָאchan/NE/nu-nahave mercy on us nowבֶּן־דָּוִד׃ben-Da/VIDson of David

    And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David.

32. 32

    וַיַּעֲמֹדvay/ya/a/MODand stoodיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusוַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand calledלָהֶםla/HEMto themוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidמַה־תִּרְצוּma-tir/TSUwhat do you wantשֶׁאֶעֱשֶׂהshe/e/e/SEthat I doלָכֶם׃la/KHEMfor you

    And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?

33. 33

    וַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאֲדֹנֵינוּa/do/NE/nuour Lordאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatתִּפָּקַחְנָהtip/pa/KACH/nabe openedעֵינֵינוּ׃e/NE/nuour eyes

    They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.

34. 34

    וְרַחֲמֵיve/ra/cha/MEand the compassions ofיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusנִכְמָרוּnikh/MA/ruwere stirredוַיִּגַּעvay/yig/GAand he touchedבְּעֵינֵיהֶםbe/e/ne/HEMtheir eyesוּפִתְאֹםu/fit/OMand suddenlyנִפְקְחוּnif/ke/CHUwere openedעֵינֵיהֶםe/ne/HEMtheir eyesוַיֵּלְכוּvay/yel/KHUand they wentאַחֲרָיו׃a/cha/RAYVafter him

    So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.
