   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatוַיֵּצֵאvay/ye/TSEand went outיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusמִן־הַבָּיִתmin-hab/BA/yitfrom the houseוַיֵּשֶׁבvay/YE/shevand satעַל־הַיָּם׃al-hay/YAMby the sea

   The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.

   וַיִּקָּהֲלוּvay/yik/ka/ha/LUand gatheredאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himהֲמוֹןha/MONa crowd ofעַםampeopleרָבravgreatוַיֵּרֶדvay/YE/redand he went downאֶל־הׇאֳנִיָּהel-ho/o/niy/YAinto the boatוַיֵּשֶׁבvay/YE/shevand satבָּהּbain itוְכׇל־הָעָםve/KHOL-ha/AMand all the peopleעֹמְדִיםom/DIMwere standingעַל־שְׂפַתal-se/FATon the shore ofהַיָּם׃hay/YAMthe sea

   And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.

   And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;

   וַיִּזְרַעvay/yiz/RAand he sowedוַיִּפֹּלvay/yip/POLand fellמִן־הַזֶּרַעmin-haz/ZE/rasome of the seedעַל־יַדal-yadbyהַדָּרֶךְhad/DA/rekhthe wayוַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand cameהָעוֹףha/OFthe birdsוַיֹּאכְלֻהוּ׃vay/yo/khe/LU/huand devoured it

   And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:

   וְיֵשׁve/YESHand there wasאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat whichנָפַלna/FALfellעַל־מְקֹםal-me/KOMon a place ofהַסְּלָעִיםhas/se/la/IMthe rocksאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereאֵיןenthere was noשָׁםshamthereאֲדָמָהa/da/MAsoilהַרְבֵּהhar/BEmuchוַיְמַהֵרvay/ma/HERand hastenedלִצְמֹחַlits/MO/achto sproutכִּיkibecauseאֵיןenthere was noלוֹloto itעֹמֶקO/mekdepth ofאֲדָמָה׃a/da/MAsoil

   Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:

6. 6

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכִּזְרֹחַkiz/RO/achwhen roseהַשֶּׁמֶשׁhash/SHE/meshthe sunוַיִּצָּרֵבvay/yits/tsa/REVand it was scorchedוַיִּיבָשׁvay/yi/VASHand it witheredכִּיkiforאֵין־לוֹen-loit had noשֹׁרֶשׁ׃SHO/reshroot

   And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

   וְיֵשׁve/YESHand there wasאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat whichנָפַלna/FALfellבֵּיןbenamongהַקֹּצִיםhak/ko/TSIMthe thornsוַיַּעֲלוּvay/ya/a/LUand came upהַקֹּצִיםhak/ko/TSIMthe thornsוַיְמַעֲכֻהוּ׃vay/ma/a/khu/HUand choked it

   And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:

   וְיֵשׁve/YESHand there wasאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat whichנָפַלna/FALfellעַל־הָאֲדָמָהal-ha/a/da/MAon the soilהַטּוֹבָהhat/to/VAgoodוַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand gaveפְּרִיpe/RIfruitזֶהzethisמֵאָהme/Aa hundredשְׁעָרִיםshe/a/RIMmeasuresוְזֶהve/ZEand thisשִׁשִּׁיםshish/SHIMsixtyוְזֶהve/ZEand thisשְׁלֹשִׁים׃she/lo/SHIMthirty

   But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

   מִיmiwhoeverאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלוֹlohasאׇזְנַיִםoz/NA/yimearsלִשְׁמֹעַlish/MO/ato hearיִשְׁמָע׃yish/MAlet him hear

   Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

10. 10

    וַיִּגְּשׁוּvay/yig/ge/SHUand came nearאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himהַתַּלְמִידִיםhat/tal/mi/DIMthe disciplesוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidלָמָּהLAM/mawhyזֶּהzethisבִּמְשָׁלִיםbim/sha/LIMin parablesתְּדַבֵּרte/dab/BERdo you speakאֲלֵיהֶם׃a/le/HEMto them

    And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

11. 11

    וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand he answeredוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidכִּיkibecauseלָכֶםla/KHEMto youנִתַּןnit/TANit is givenלָדַעַתla/DA/atto knowאֶת־סוֹדוֹתet-so/DOTthe secrets ofמַלְכוּתmal/KHUTthe kingdom ofהַשָּׁמָיִםhash/sha/MA/yimheavenוְלָהֶםve/la/HEMbut to themלֹאlonotנִתָּן׃nit/TANit is given

    He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

12. 12

    כִּיkiforמִיmiwhoeverשֶׁיֶּשׁ־לוֹshey/YESH-lothat hasנָתֹןna/TONgiveיִנָּתֵןyin/na/TENit will be givenלוֹloto himוְיַעֲדִיףve/ya/a/DIFand he will have surplusוּמִיu/MIand whoeverשֶׁאֵיןSHE/enthat has notלוֹloto himגַםgamevenמָה־שֶׁיֵּשׁ־לוֹma-shey/YESH-lowhat he hasיִנָּטֵלyin/na/TELwill be takenמִמֶּנּוּ׃mim/MEN/nufrom him

    For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

13. 13

    עַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeבִּמְשָׁלִיםbim/sha/LIMin parablesאֲדַבֵּרa/dab/BERI speakאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themכִּיkibecauseבִרְאֹתָםvir/o/TAMin their seeingלֹאlonotיִרְאוּyir/Uthey seeוּבְשָׁמְעָםu/ve/sha/me/AMand in their hearingלֹאlonotיִשְׁמְעוּyish/me/Uthey hearאַף־לֹאaf-lonorיָבִינוּ׃ya/VI/nudo they understand

    Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

    וּתְקֻיַּםu/te/kuy/YAMand is fulfilledבָּהֶםba/HEMin themנְבוּאַתne/vu/ATthe prophecy ofיְשַׁעְיָהוּYe/sha/YA/huEsaiasהָאֹמֶרֶתha/o/ME/retthat saysשָׁמוֹעַsha/MO/ahearתִּשְׁמְעוּtish/me/Uyou will hearוְלֹאve/LOand notתָבִינוּta/vi/NUunderstandוְרָאוֹve/ra/Oand seeתִּרְאוּtir/Uyou will seeוְלֹאve/LOand notתֵדָעוּ׃te/da/Uperceive

    And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

15. 15

    כִּיkiforשָׁמֵןsha/MENhas grown fatלֵב־הָעָםlev-ha/AMthe heart of the peopleהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְאׇזְנָיוve/oz/NAYVand its earsכָּבְדוּka/ve/DUare heavyוְעֵינָיוve/e/NAYVand its eyesהֵשַׁעhe/SHAit has shutפֶּן־יִרְאֶהpen-yir/Elest it seeבְעֵינָיוve/e/NAYVwith its eyesוּבְאׇזְנָיוu/ve/oz/NAYVand with its earsיִשְׁמַעyish/MAhearוּלְבָבוֹu/le/va/VOand its heartיָבִיןya/VINunderstandוָשָׁבva/SHAVand turnוּרְפָאתִיu/re/fa/TIand I healלוֹ׃loit

    For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

16. 16

    וְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMand youאַשְׁרֵיash/REblessed areעֵינֵיכֶםe/ne/KHEMyour eyesכִּיkiforתִרְאֶינָהtir/E/nathey seeוְאׇזְנֵיכֶםve/oz/ne/KHEMand your earsכִּיkiforתִשְׁמַעְנָה׃tish/ma/NAthey hear

    But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

17. 17

    כִּי־אָמֵןki-a/MENfor amenאֹמֵרo/MERsayאֲנִיa/NIIלָכֶםla/KHEMto youנְבִיאִיםne/vi/IMprophetsוְצַדִּיקִיםve/tsad/di/KIMand righteous menרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyנִכְסְפוּnikh/se/FUlongedלִרְאֹתlir/OTto seeאֵת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhatאַתֶּםat/TEMyouרֹאִיםro/IMseeוְלֹאve/LOand notרָאוּra/Udid they seeוְלִשְׁמֹעַve/lish/MO/aand to hearאֵת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhatאַתֶּםat/TEMyouשֹׁמְעִיםshom/IMhearוְלֹאve/LOand notשָׁמֵעוּ׃sha/ME/udid they hear

    For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

18. 18

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeאַתֶּםat/TEMyouשִׁמְעוּ־נָאshim/U-nahear nowאֵת־מְשַׁלet-me/SHALthe parable ofהַזּוֹרֵעַ׃haz/zo/RE/athe sower

    Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.

19. 19

    כׇּל־אִישׁkol-ishevery manשֹׁמֵעַsho/ME/awho hearsאֶת־דְּבַרet-de/VARthe word ofהַמַּלְכוּתham/mal/KHUTthe kingdomוְלֹאve/LOand notיְבִינֵהוּye/vi/ne/HUunderstands itוּבָאu/VAand comesהָרָעha/RAthe evil oneוְחָטַףve/cha/TAFand snatchesאֶת־הַזָּרוּעַet-haz/za/RU/awhat was sownבִּלְבָבוֹbil/va/VOin his heartהוּאhuthis isהַנִּזְרָעhan/niz/RAwhat was sownעַל־יַדal-yadbyהַדָּרֶךְ׃had/DA/rekhthe way

    When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

20. 20

    וְהַנִּזְרָעve/han/niz/RAand what was sownעַל־מְקוֹםal-me/KOMon the place ofהַסְּלָעִיםhas/se/la/IMthe rocksהוּאhuthis isהַשֹּׁמֵעַhash/sho/ME/ahe who hearsאֶת־הַדָּבָרet-had/da/VARthe wordוּמִיָּדu/miy/YADand immediatelyיִקָּחֶנּוּyik/ka/CHEN/nureceives itבְשִׂמְחָה׃ve/sim/CHAwith joy

    But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;

21. 21

    וְלוֹve/LOand he hasאֵיןennotשֹׁרֶשׁSHO/reshrootתַּחְתָּיוtach/TAYVbeneath himוְיָקוּםve/ya/KUMand he standsרַקrakonlyלְשָׁעָהle/sha/Afor a timeוּבִהְיוֹתu/vih/YOTand when there isצָרָהtsa/RAtribulationוּרְדִיפָהu/re/di/FAor persecutionבִּגְלַלbig/LALbecause ofהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe wordיִכָּשֵׁלyik/ka/SHELhe stumblesכְּרָגַע׃ke/RA/gain a moment

    Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

22. 22

    וְהַנִּזְרָעve/han/niz/RAand what was sownאֶל־הַקֹּצִיםel-hak/ko/TSIMamong the thornsהוּאhuthis isהַשֹּׁמֵעַhash/sho/ME/ahe who hearsאֶת־הַדָּבָרet-had/da/VARthe wordוְדַאֲגַתve/da/a/GATand the care ofהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMworldהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְנִכְלֵיve/nikh/LEand the deceits ofהָעֹשֶׁרha/O/sherrichesיְמַעֲכוּye/ma/a/KHUchokeאֶת־הַדָּבָרet-had/da/VARthe wordוּפְרִיu/fe/RIand fruitלֹא־יִהְיֶהlo-yih/YEwill not beלּוֹ׃lohis

    He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

23. 23

    וְהַנִּזְרָעve/han/niz/RAand what was sownעַל־הָאֲדָמָהal-ha/a/da/MAon the soilהַטּוֹבָהhat/to/VAthe goodהוּאhuthis isהַשֹּׁמֵעַhash/sho/ME/ahe who hearsאֶת־הַדָּבָרet-had/da/VARthe wordוּמֵבִיןu/me/VINand understandsאֹתוֹo/TOitאַף־יַעֲשֶׂהaf-ya/a/SEand indeed makesפֶרִיFE/rifruitוְנָתַןve/na/TANand givesזֶהzethisמֵאָהme/Aa hundredשְׁעָרִיםshe/a/RIMmeasuresוְזֶהve/ZEand thisשִׁשִּׁיםshish/SHIMsixtyוְזֶהve/ZEand thisשְׁלֹשִׁים׃she/lo/SHIMthirty

    But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

24. 24

    וַיָּשֶׂםvay/YA/semhe setלִפְנֵיהֶםlif/ne/HEMbefore themמָשָׁלma/SHALa parableאַחֵרa/CHERanotherוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidמַלְכוּתmal/KHUTthe kingdom ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimheavenדּוֹמָהdo/MAis likeלְאָדָםle/a/DAMto a manאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoזָרַעZA/rasowedזֶרַעZE/raseedטוֹבtovgoodבְּשָׂדֵהוּ׃be/sa/DE/huin his field

    Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:

25. 25

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passבִּהְיוֹתbih/YOTwhile wereהָאֲנָשִׁיםha/a/na/SHIMmenיְשֵׁנִיםye/she/NIMsleepingוַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand cameאֹיְבוֹoy/VOhis enemyוַיִּזְרַעvay/yiz/RAand sowedזוּנִיןzu/NINdarnelבֵּיןbenamongהַחִטִּיםha/chit/TIMthe wheatוַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand wentלוֹ׃loaway

    But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

26. 26

    וְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERand whenפָּרַחpa/RACHsproutedהַדֶּשֶׁאhad/DE/shethe bladeוַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand madeפְּרִיpe/RIfruitוַיֵּרָאוּvay/ye/ra/Uand appearedגַּם־הַזּוּנִין׃gam-haz/zu/NINalso the darnel

    But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

27. 27

    וַיִּגְּשׁוּvay/yig/ge/SHUand came nearעַבְדֵיav/DEthe servants ofבַעַל־הַבַּיִתVA/al-hab/BA/yitthe householderוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאֲדֹנֵינוּa/do/NE/nuour lordהֲלֹא־זֶרַעha/LO-ZE/radid not seedטוֹבtovgoodזָרַעְתָּza/ra/TAyou sowבְשָׂדֶךָve/sa/DE/khain your fieldוּמֵאַיִןu/me/A/yinand from whereלוֹlodoes it haveהַזּוּנִין׃haz/zu/NINthe darnel

    So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?

28. 28

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלָהֶםla/HEMto themאִישׁisha manאֹיֵבo/YEVan enemyעָשָׂהa/SAhas doneזֹאתzotthisוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himהָעֲבָדִיםha/a/va/DIMthe servantsהֲתַחְפֹּץha/tach/POTSdo you desireכִּי־נֵלֵךְki-ne/LEKHthat we goוּנְלַקֵּטu/ne/lak/KETand gatherאֹתָם׃o/TAMthem

    He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

29. 29

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלֹאlonoפֶּן־תְּלַקְּטוּpen-te/lak/ke/TUlest when you gatherאֶת־הַזּוּנִיןet-haz/zu/NINthe darnelוְשֵׁרַשְׁתֶּםve/she/rash/TEMyou uprootגַּםgamalsoאֶת־הַחִטִּים׃et-ha/chit/TIMthe wheat

    But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.

30. 30

    הַנִּיחוּhan/NI/chuleaveאֹתָםo/TAMthemוְיִגְדְּלוּve/yig/de/LUand let growשְׁנֵיהֶםshe/ne/HEMbothיַחַדYA/chadtogetherעַד־הַקָּצִירad-hak/ka/TSIRuntil the harvestוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beבְּעֵתbe/ETin the time ofהַקָּצִירhak/ka/TSIRharvestוְאָמַרְתִּיve/a/mar/TII will sayלַקּוֹצְרִיםlak/kots/RIMto the reapersלַקְּטוּlak/ke/TUgatherבָרִאשׁוֹנָהva/ri/sho/NAfirstאֶת־הַזּוּנִיןet-haz/zu/NINthe darnelוְאִגְדוּve/ig/DUand bindאֹתָםo/TAMthemאֲגֻדּוֹתa/gud/DOTin bundlesלְשָׂרְפָםle/sa/re/FAMto burn themוְאֵתve/ETandהַחִטִּיםha/chit/TIMthe wheatאִסְפוּis/FUgatherלְאוֹצָרִי׃le/o/tsa/RIinto my storehouse

    Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

31. 31

    וַיָּשֶׂםvay/YA/semhe setלִפְנֵיהֶםlif/ne/HEMbefore themמָשָׁלma/SHALa parableאַחֵרa/CHERanotherוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidמַלְכוּתmal/KHUTthe kingdom ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimheavenדּוֹמָהdo/MAis likeלְגַרְגַּרle/gar/GARto a grain ofחַרְדָּלchar/DALmustardאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלְקָחוֹle/ka/CHOtook itאִישׁisha manוַיִּזְרַעvay/yiz/RAand sowedבְּשָׂדֵהוּ׃be/sa/DE/huin his field

    Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:

32. 32

    וְהוּאve/HUand itקָטֹןka/TONis smallמִכׇּל־הַזֵּרוֹעִיםmik/KOL-haz/ze/ro/IMmore than all seedsוְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERbut whenצָמַחtsa/MACHit has grownגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreaterהוּאhuit isמִן־הַיְרָקוֹתmin-hay/ra/KOTthan the herbsוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand becomesלְעֵץle/ETSa treeעַד־אֲשֶׁרad-a/SHERso thatיָבֹאוּya/VO/ucomeעוֹףofthe birds ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe skyוְקִנְּנוּve/kin/ne/NUand nestבַּעֲנָפָיו׃ba/a/na/FAYVin its branches

    Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

    וַיִּשָּׂאvay/yis/SAhe took upעוֹדodagainמְשָׁלוֹme/sha/LOhis parableוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themמַלְכוּתmal/KHUTthe kingdom ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimheavenדּוֹמָהdo/MAis likeלִשְׂאֹרlis/ORleavenאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלְקָחַתּוּle/ka/chat/TUtook itאִשָּׁהish/SHAa womanוַתִּטְמֹןvat/tit/MONand hidבִּשְׁלֹשׁbish/LOSHin threeסְאִיםse/IMseahs ofקֶמַחKE/machflourעַדaduntilכִּי־יֶחְמַץki-yech/MATSwas leavenedכֻּלּוֹ׃kul/LOall of it

    Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

    All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:

    לְמַלֹּאתle/mal/LOTto fulfillאֵת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhatדִּבֶּרdib/BERspokeהַנָּבִיאhan/na/VIthe prophetלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingאֶפְתְּחָהef/te/CHAI will openבִמְשָׁלִיםvim/sha/LIMin parablesפִּיpimy mouthאַבִּיעָהab/BI/aI will pour outנִסְתָּרוֹתnis/ta/ROThidden thingsלְמִן־הִוָּסֵדle/MIN-hiv/va/SEDfrom the foundation ofהָעוֹלָם׃ha/o/LAMthe world

    That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

36. 36

    אָזazthenשִׁלַּחshil/LACHsent awayיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusאֶת־הֲמוֹןet-ha/MONthe crowd ofהָעָםha/AMthe peopleוַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand cameהַבָּיְתָהhab/BAY/tainto the houseוַיִּגְּשׁוּvay/yig/ge/SHUand came nearאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himתַּלְמִידָיוtal/mi/DAYVhis disciplesוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidבָּאֶר־נָאBA/er-naexplain nowלָנוּLA/nuto usאֶת־מְשַׁלet-me/SHALthe parable ofזוּנֵיzu/NEthe darnel ofהַשָּׂדֶה׃has/sa/DEthe field

    Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

37. 37

    וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand he answeredוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themהַזּוֹרֵעַhaz/zo/RE/ahe who sowsאֶת־הַזֶּרַעet-haz/ZE/rathe seedהַטּוֹבhat/TOVgoodהוּאhuisבֶּן־הָאָדָם׃ben-Ha/a/DAMthe Son of man

    He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

38. 38

    וְהַשָּׂדֶהve/has/sa/DEand the fieldהוּאhuisהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldוְהַזֶּרַעve/haz/ZE/raand the seedהַטּוֹבhat/TOVgoodבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofהַמַּלְכוּתham/mal/KHUTthe kingdomהֵםhemthey areוְהַזּוּנִיןve/haz/zu/NINand the darnelבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofהָרַעha/RAthe evil oneהֵמָּה׃HEM/mathey are

    The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

39. 39

    וְהָאֹיֵבve/ha/o/YEVand the enemyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatזְרָעָםze/ra/AMsowed themהוּאhuisהַשָּׂטָןHas/sa/TANSatanוְהַקָּצִירve/hak/ka/TSIRand the harvestהוּאhuisקֵץketsthe end ofהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldוְהַקֹּצְרִיםve/hak/kots/RIMand the reapersהֵםhemareהַמַּלְאָכִים׃ham/mal/a/KHIMthe angels

    The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

40. 40

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasיְלֻקְּטוּye/luk/ke/TUis gatheredהַזּוּנִיןhaz/zu/NINthe darnelוְנִשְׂרְפוּve/nis/re/FUand burnedבָאֵשׁva/ESHin the fireכֵּןkensoיִהְיֶהyih/YEwill it beלְקֵץle/KETSat the end ofהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMworldהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

41. 41

    בֶּן־הָאָדָםben-Ha/a/DAMthe Son of manיִשְׁלַחyish/LACHwill sendאֶת־מַלְאָכָיוet-mal/a/KHAYVhis angelsוְלִקְּטוּve/lik/ke/TUand they will gatherמִמַּלְכוּתוֹmim/mal/khu/TOout of his kingdomאֵת־כׇּל־הַמַּכְשֵׁלוֹתet-kol-ham/makh/she/LOTall the stumbling blocksוְאֵת־כׇּל־פֹּעֲלֵיve/ET-kol-PO/a/leand all workers ofהָאָוֶן׃ha/A/veniniquity

    The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

42. 42

    וְהִשְׁלִיכוּve/hish/LI/khuand will throwאֹתָםo/TAMthemאֶל־תַּנּוּרel-tan/NURinto the furnace ofהָאֵשׁha/ESHfireשָׁםshamthereתִּהְיֶהtih/YEwill beהַיְלָלָהhay/la/LAthe wailingוַחֲרֹקva/cha/ROKand the gnashing ofהַשִּׁנָּיִם׃hash/shin/NA/yimteeth

    And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

43. 43

    אָזazthenיַזְהִירוּyaz/hi/RUwill shineהַצַּדִּיקִיםhats/tsad/di/KIMthe righteousכַּשֶּׁמֶשׁkash/SHE/meshas the sunבְּמַלְכוּתbe/mal/KHUTin the kingdom ofאֲבִיהֶםA/vi/HEMtheir Fatherמִיmiwhoeverאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלוֹlohasאׇזְנַיִםoz/NA/yimearsלִשְׁמֹעַlish/MO/ato hearיִשְׁמָע׃yish/MAlet him hear

    Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

44. 44

    עוֹדodagainדּוֹמָהdo/MAis likeמַלְכוּתmal/KHUTthe kingdom ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimheavenלְאוֹצָרle/o/TSARtreasureטָמוּןta/MUNhiddenבַּשָּׂדֶהbas/sa/DEin a fieldאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichמְצָאוֹme/TSA/ofound itאִישׁisha manוַיִּטְמְנֵהוּvay/yit/me/NE/huand he hid itוּבְשִׂמְחָתוֹu/ve/sim/cha/TOand in his joyיֵלֵךְye/LEKHgoesוּמָכַרu/ma/KHARand sellsאֶת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁר־לוֹet-kol-a/SHER-loall that he hasוְקָנָהve/ka/NAand buysאֶת־הַשָּׂדֶהet-has/sa/DEthe fieldהַהוּא׃ha/HUthat

    Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

45. 45

    עוֹדodagainדּוֹמָהdo/MAis likeמַלְכוּתmal/KHUTthe kingdom ofהַשָּׁמָיִםhash/sha/MA/yimheavenלְאִישׁle/ISHa manסֹחֵרso/CHERa merchantהַמְבַקֵּשׁham/vak/KESHseekingמַרְגָּלִיּוֹתmar/ga/liy/YOTpearlsטֹבוֹת׃to/VOTgood

    Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

46. 46

    וְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERand whenמָצָאma/TSAhe foundמַרְגָּלִיתmar/ga/LITa pearlאַחַתa/CHAToneיְקָרָהye/ka/RApreciousמְאֹדme/ODveryהָלַךְha/LAKHwentוַיִּמְכֹּרvay/yim/KORand soldאֶת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁר־לוֹet-kol-a/SHER-loall that he hadוַיִּקֶןvay/YI/kenand boughtאֹתָהּ׃o/TAit

    Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

47. 47

    עוֹדodagainדּוֹמָהdo/MAis likeמַלְכוּתmal/KHUTthe kingdom ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimheavenלְמִכְמֶרֶתle/mikh/ME/reta netאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatהָשְׁלְכָהha/she/le/KHAwas castלַיָּםlay/YAMinto the seaוּמִינִיםu/mi/NIMand kindsשׁוֹנִיםsho/NIMvariousיֵאָסְפוּye/a/se/FUare gatheredלְתוֹכָהּ׃le/to/KHAinto it

    Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:

48. 48

    וְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERand whenנִמְלְאָהnim/le/Ait was fullהֶעֱלוּhe/e/LUthey brought upאֹתָהּo/TAitאֶל־שְׂפַתel-se/FATto the shore ofהַיָּםhay/YAMthe seaוַיֵּשְׁבוּvay/yesh/VUand they satוַיִּלְקְטוּvay/yil/ke/TUand gatheredאֶת־הַמִּינִיםet-ham/mi/NIMthe kindsהַטּוֹבִיםhat/to/VIMgoodלְתוֹךְle/TOKHintoהַכֵּלִיםhak/ke/LIMthe vesselsוְאֵתve/ETandהָרָעִיםha/ra/IMthe badהִשְׁלִיכוּ׃hish/LI/khuthey threw away

    Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

49. 49

    כֵּןkensoיִהְיֶהyih/YEwill it beלְקֵץle/KETSat the end ofהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldהַמַּלְאָכִיםham/mal/a/KHIMthe angelsיֵצְאוּyets/Uwill go outוְהִבְדִּילוּve/hiv/DI/luand separateאֶת־הָרְשָׁעִיםet-ha/re/sha/IMthe wickedמִתּוֹךְmit/TOKHfrom amongהַצַּדִּיקִים׃hats/tsad/di/KIMthe righteous

    So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,

50. 50

    וְהִשְׁלִיכוּםve/hish/li/KHUMand will throw themאֶל־תַּנּוּרel-tan/NURinto the furnace ofהָאֵשׁha/ESHfireשָׁםshamthereתִּהְיֶהtih/YEwill beהַיְלָלָהhay/la/LAthe wailingוַחֲרֹקva/cha/ROKand the gnashing ofהַשִּׁנָּיִם׃hash/shin/NA/yimteeth

    And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

51. 51

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהֲתָבִינוּha/ta/vi/NUdo you understandאֶת־כׇּל־אֵלֶּהet-kol-EL/leall these thingsוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himהֵןhenyesאֲדֹנֵינוּ׃a/do/NE/nuour Lord

    Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.

52. 52

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themעַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeכׇּל־סוֹפֵרkol-so/FERevery scribeמְלֻמָּדme/lum/MADinstructedלְמַלְכוּתle/mal/KHUTfor the kingdom ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimheavenדּוֹמֶהdo/MEis likeלְאִישׁle/ISHa manבַּעַל־בַּיִתBA/al-BA/yitmaster of a houseהַמּוֹצִיאham/mo/TSIwho brings outמֵאוֹצָרוֹme/o/tsa/ROout of his treasureחֲדָשׁוֹתcha/da/SHOTnew thingsוְגַםve/GAMand alsoיְשָׁנוֹת׃ye/sha/NOTold things

    Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

53. 53

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכְּכַלּוֹתke/khal/LOTwhen finishedיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusלְדַבֵּרle/dab/BERspeakingאֶת־הַמְּשָׁלִיםet-ham/me/sha/LIMthe parablesהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseוַיַּעֲבֹרvay/ya/a/VORand he passed onמִשָּׁם׃mish/SHAMfrom there

    And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence.

54. 54

    וַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand he cameאֶל־אַרְצוֹel-ar/TSOinto his landוַיְלַמֵּדvay/lam/MEDand taughtאֹתָםo/TAMthemבְּבֵיתbe/VETin the house ofכְּנִסְתָּםke/nis/TAMtheir assemblyוַיִּשְׁתּוֹמֲמוּvay/yish/to/ma/MUand they were astonishedוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidמֵאַיִןme/A/yinfrom whereלָזֶהla/ZEdoes this one haveהַחׇכְמָהha/chokh/MAwisdomהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisוְהַגְּבוּרוֹת׃ve/hag/ge/vu/ROTand these mighty works

    And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?

55. 55

    הֲלֹאha/LOis notזֶהzethisהוּאhuisבֶּן־הֶחָרָשׁben-he/cha/RASHthe son of the craftsmanהֲלֹאha/LOis notשֵׁםshemis the name ofאִמּוֹim/MOhis motherמִרְיָםMir/YAMMaryוְאֶחָיוve/e/CHAYVand his brothersיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJamesוְיוֹסֵיve/Yo/SEand Josesוְשִׁמְעוֹןve/Shim/ONand Simonוִיהוּדָה׃Vi/hu/DAand Judas

    Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?

56. 56

    וְאַחְיוֹתָיוve/ach/yo/TAYVand his sistersהֲלֹאha/LOare they notכֻלָּןkhul/LANall of themאִתָּנוּit/TA/nuwith usהֵןhenbeholdוּמֵאַיִןu/me/A/yinand from whereאֵיפוֹאe/FOthenלוֹlodoes he haveכׇּל־אֵלֶּה׃kol-EL/leall these things

    And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

57. 57

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand he wasלָהֶםla/HEMto themלְמִכְשׁוֹלle/mikh/SHOLa stumbling blockוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themאֵיןenthere is noהַנָּבִיאhan/na/VIa prophetנִקְלֶהnik/LEdespisedאִם־לֹאim-loexceptבְּאַרְצוֹbe/ar/TSOin his landוּבְבֵיתוֹ׃u/ve/ve/TOand in his house

    And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.

58. 58

    וְלֹא־עָשָׂהve/LO-a/SAand he did not doשָׁםshamthereגְּבוּרוֹתge/vu/ROTmighty worksרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofחֹסֶרCHO/serthe lack ofאֱמוּנָתָם׃e/mu/na/TAMtheir faith

    And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
