   At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.

   But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.

   But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;

   How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?

   וַהֲלֹאva/ha/LOand have you notקְרָאתֶםke/ra/TEMreadבַּתּוֹרָהbat/to/RAin the lawכִּיkithatבַשַּׁבָּתוֹתvash/shab/ba/TOTon the sabbathsיְחַלְּלוּye/chal/le/LUprofaneהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsאֶת־הַשַּׁבָּתet-hash/shab/BATthe sabbathבַּמִּקְדָּשׁbam/mik/DASHin the templeוְאֵיןve/ENand there is noלָהֶםla/HEMto themעָוֹן׃a/VONguilt

   Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?

   וַאֲנִיva/a/NIbut Iאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMto youכִּיkithatיֶשׁ־פֹּהyesh-pohere isגָּדוֹלga/DOLone greaterמִן־הַמִּקְדָּשׁ׃min-ham/mik/DASHthan the temple

   But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.

   וְלוּve/LUand ifיְדַעְתֶּםye/da/TEMyou had knownמַה־הוּאma-huwhat isשֶׁנֶּאֱמַרshen/ne/e/MARthat which was saidחֶסֶדCHE/sedmercyחָפַצְתִּיcha/FATS/tiI desiredוְלֹאve/LOand notזָבַחZA/vachsacrificeלֹאlonotהִרְשַׁעְתֶּםhir/sha/TEMwould you have condemnedאֵת־הַנְּקִיִּם׃et-han/ne/kiy/YIMthe guiltless

   But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.

   כִּיkiforבֶּן־הָאָדָםben-Ha/a/DAMthe Son of manהוּאhuisגַּם־אֲדוֹןgam-a/DONeven lord ofהַשַּׁבָּת׃hash/shab/BATthe sabbath day

   For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

   וַיַּעֲבֹרvay/ya/a/VORand he passedמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thereאֶל־בֵּיתel-betinto the house ofכְּנִסְתָּם׃ke/nis/TAMtheir assembly

   And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue:

10. 10

    וְהִנֵּה־שָׁםve/hin/NE-shamand behold there wasאִישׁisha manוְיָדוֹve/ya/DOand his hand wasיְבֵשָׁהye/ve/SHAwitheredוַיִּשְׁאָלוּהוּvay/yish/a/lu/HUand they asked himהֲמֻתָּרha/mut/TARis it permittedלִרְפֹּאlir/POto healבַּשַּׁבָּתbash/shab/BATon the sabbathלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatיִמְצְאוּyim/tse/Uthey might findעָלָיוa/LAYVagainst himעֲלִילֹתa/li/LOTcharges ofדְּבָרִים׃de/va/RIMwords

    And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themהַיֵּשׁhay/YESHis thereבָּכֶםba/KHEMamong youאָדָםa/DAMa manאֲשֶׁר־לוֹa/SHER-lowho hasכֶּבֶשׂKE/vesa sheepאֶחָדe/CHADoneוְנָפַלve/na/FALand it fallsבְּבוֹרbe/VORinto a pitבַּשַּׁבָּתbash/shab/BATon the sabbathוְלֹא־יַחֲזִיקve/LO-ya/cha/ZIKand will not take holdבּוֹboon itוְיַעֲלֶנּוּ׃ve/ya/a/len/NUand lift it up

    And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?

12. 12

    וּמַה־יָּקָרu/MA-ya/KARand how much more precious isאָדָםa/DAMa manמִן־הַכֶּבֶשׂmin-hak/KE/vesthan a sheepלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeמֻתָּרmut/TARit is permittedלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doטוֹבָהto/VAgoodבַּשַּׁבָּת׃bash/shab/BATon the sabbath

    How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֶל־הָאִישׁel-ha/ISHto the manפְּשֹׁטpe/SHOTstretch forthאֶת־יָדֶךָet-ya/DE/khayour handוַיִּפְשֹׁטvay/yif/SHOTand he stretched outאֹתָהּo/TAitוַתֵּרָפֵאvat/te/ra/FEand it was healedוַתָּשׇׁבvat/TA/shovand it returnedכְּיָדוֹke/ya/DOlike his handהָאַחֶרֶת׃ha/a/CHE/retthe other

    Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.

14. 14

    וַיֵּצְאוּvay/yets/Uand went outהַפְּרוּשִׁיםhap/Pe/ru/SHIMthe Phariseesוַיִּתְיָעֲצוּvay/yit/ya/a/TSUand took counselעָלָיוa/LAYVagainst himלְאַבְּדוֹ׃le/ab/be/DOto destroy him

    Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.

15. 15

    וַיֵּדַעvay/YE/daand knewיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusוַיָּסַרvay/YA/sarand he withdrewמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thereוַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand wentאַחֲרָיוa/cha/RAYVafter himהֲמוֹןha/MONa crowd ofעַםampeopleרָבravgreatוַיִּרְפָּאֵםvay/yir/pa/EMand he healed themכֻּלָּם׃kul/LAMall of them

    But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;

16. 16

    וַיְצַוvay/TSAVand chargedעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMthemשֶׁלֹּאshel/LOthat notיְגַלֻּהוּ׃ye/gal/lu/HUthey reveal him

    And charged them that they should not make him known:

17. 17

    לְמַלֹּאתle/mal/LOTto fulfillאֵת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhatדִּבֶּרdib/BERspokeיְשַׁעְיָהוּYe/sha/YA/huEsaiasהַנָּבִיאhan/na/VIthe prophetלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,

18. 18

    הֵןhenbeholdעַבְדִּיav/DIMy servantבָּחַרְתִּיba/CHAR/tiI have chosenבוֹvohimיְדִידִיye/di/DIMy belovedרָצְתָהra/tse/TAdelightsנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHIMy soulנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI have putרוּחִיRu/CHIMy Spiritעָלָיוa/LAYVon himוּמִשְׁפָּטu/mish/PATand justiceלַגּוֹיִםlag/go/YIMto the nationsיוֹצִיא׃yo/TSIhe will bring out

    Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.

19. 19

    לֹאlonotיִצְעַקyits/AKwill he cry outוְלֹאve/LOand notיִשָּׂאyis/SAlift upוְלֹאve/LOand notיַשְׁמִיעַyash/MI/amake heardבַּחוּץba/CHUTSin the streetsקוֹלוֹ׃ko/LOhis voice

    He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.

20. 20

    קָנֶהka/NEa reedרָצוּץra/TSUTScrushedלֹאlonotיִשְׁבּוֹרyish/BORwill he breakוּפִשְׁתָּהu/fish/TAand a wickכֵהָהkhe/HAdimלֹאlonotיְכַבֶּנָּהye/khab/BEN/nawill he quenchעַד־יוֹצִיאad-yo/TSIuntil he brings outלָנֶצַחla/NE/tsachto victoryמִשְׁפָּט׃mish/PATjustice

    A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.

21. 21

    וְלִשְׁמוֹve/lish/MOand in his nameגּוֹיִםgo/YIMnationsיְיַחֵלוּ׃ye/ya/che/LUwill hope

    And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.

22. 22

    אָזazthenהוּבָאhu/VAwas broughtאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאִישׁisha manעִוֵּרiv/VERblindוְאִלֵּםve/il/LEMand muteאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho wasאֲחָזוֹa/cha/ZOhad seized himשֵׁדsheda demonוַיִּרְפָּאֵהוּvay/yir/pa/e/HUand he healed himוַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeהָעִוֵּרha/iv/VERthe blindוְהָאִלֵּםve/ha/il/LEMand muteוְגַםve/GAMand alsoרָאָה׃ra/Asaw

    Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.

23. 23

    וַיִּתְמְהוּvay/yit/me/HUand were amazedכׇּל־הֲמוֹןkol-ha/MONall the crowd ofהָעָםha/AMthe peopleוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidהֲכִיha/KHIis notזֶהzethisבֶן־דָּוִד׃ven-Da/VIDthe son of David

    And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?

24. 24

    וַיִּשְׁמְעוּvay/yish/me/Uand heardהַפְּרוּשִׁיםhap/Pe/ru/SHIMthe Phariseesוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֵיןendoes notזֶהzethisמְגָרֵשׁme/ga/RESHdrive outאֶת־הַשֵּׁדִיםet-hash/she/DIMthe demonsכִּיkibutאִם־עַל־יְדֵיim-al-ye/DEby the hand ofבַעַל־זְבוּלVA/al-ze/VULBeelzebubשַׂרsarthe prince ofהַשֵּׁדִים׃hash/she/DIMthe demons

    But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

25. 25

    וְיֵשׁוּעַve/Ye/SHU/aand Jesusיָדַעya/DAknewאֶת־מַחְשְׁבוֹתָםet-mach/she/vo/TAMtheir thoughtsוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themכׇּל־מַמְלָכָהkol-mam/la/KHAevery kingdomהַנֶּחֱלָקָהhan/ne/che/la/KAthat is dividedעַל־עַצְמָהּal-ats/MAagainst itselfתֵּחָרֵבte/cha/REVis laid wasteוְכׇל־עִירve/KHOL-irand every cityוָבַיִתva/VA/yitand houseהַנֶּחֱלָקִיםhan/ne/che/la/KIMthat are dividedעַל־עַצְמָםal-ats/MAMagainst themselvesלֹאlonotיִכּוֹנוּ׃yik/ko/NUwill stand

    And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

26. 26

    וְהַשָּׂטָןve/has/Sa/TANand Satanאִם־יְגָרֵשׁim-ye/ga/RESHif drives outאֶת־הַשָּׂטָןet-Has/sa/TANSatanנֶחֱלָקne/che/LAKhe is dividedעַל־עַצְמוֹal-ats/MOagainst himselfוְאֵיכָכָהve/e/kha/KHAand howתִכּוֹןtik/KONwill standמַמְלַכְתּוֹ׃mam/lakh/TOhis kingdom

    And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

27. 27

    וְאִם־אֲנִיve/IM-a/NIand if Iמְגָרֵשׁme/ga/RESHcast outאֶת־הַשֵּׁדִיםet-hash/she/DIMthe demonsבְּבַעַל־זְבוּלbe/VA/al-ze/VULby Beelzebubבְּנֵיכֶםbe/ne/KHEMyour sonsבְּמִיbe/MIby whomיְגַרֲשׁוּye/ga/ra/SHUdo drive outאֹתָםo/TAMthemעַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeהֵמָּהHEM/matheyיִהְיוּyih/YUwill beשֹׁפְטֵיכֶם׃shof/te/KHEMyour judges

    And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.

28. 28

    וְאִםve/IMbut ifבְּרוּחַbe/RU/achby the Spirit ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֲנִיa/NIIמְגָרֵשׁme/ga/RESHcast outאֶת־הַשֵּׁדִיםet-hash/she/DIMthe demonsהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהִגִּיעָהhig/gi/Ahas reachedאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMto youמַלְכוּתmal/KHUTthe kingdom ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

    But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

29. 29

    אוֹoorאֵיךְekhhowיוּכַלyu/KHALcanאִישׁisha manלָבוֹאla/VOenterלְבֵיתle/VETthe house ofהַגִּבּוֹרhag/gib/BORthe strong manוְלִגְזֹלve/lig/ZOLand robאֶת־כֵּלָיוet-ke/LAYVhis goodsאִם־לֹאim-loif notיֶאֱסֹרye/e/SORhe bindבָּרִאשׁוֹנָהba/ri/sho/NAfirstאֶת־הַגִּבּוֹרet-hag/gib/BORthe strong manוְאַחַרve/a/CHARand afterיִשְׁסֶהyish/SEhe will plunderאֶת־בֵּיתוֹ׃et-be/TOhis house

    Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.

30. 30

    כׇּלkoleveryoneאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nuis notאִתִּיit/TIwith meהוּאhuheלְנֶגְדִּיle/neg/DIis against meוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand he whoאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nunotמְכַנֵּסme/khan/NESgathersאִתִּיit/TIwith meהוּאhuheמְפַזֵּר׃me/faz/ZERscatters

    He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

31. 31

    עַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMto youכׇּל־חֵטְאkol-chetevery sinוְגִדּוּףve/gid/DUFand blasphemyיִסָּלַחyis/sa/LACHwill be forgivenלָאָדָםla/a/DAMto menאַךְ־גִּדּוּףakh-gid/DUFbut blasphemy ofרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁRU/ach-Hak/KO/deshthe Holy Spiritלֹאlonotיִסָּלַחyis/sa/LACHwill be forgivenלָאָדָם׃la/a/DAMto men

    Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

32. 32

    וְכֹלve/KHOLand anyoneאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיְדַבֵּרye/dab/BERspeaksדְּבַרde/VARa word ofחֶרְפָּהcher/PAreproachבְּבֶן־הָאָדָםbe/VEN-ha/a/DAMagainst the Son of manיִסָּלַחyis/sa/LACHwill be forgivenלוֹlohimוְהַמְחָרֵףve/ham/cha/REFbut he who revilesאֶת־רוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁet-RU/ach-hak/KO/deshthe Holy Spiritלֹאlonotיִסָּלַחyis/sa/LACHwill be forgivenלוֹlohimלֹא־בָעוֹלָםlo-va/o/LAMnot in the worldהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְלֹא־לָעוֹלָםve/LO-la/o/LAMand not in the worldהַבָּא׃hab/BAto come

    And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

33. 33

    עֲשׂוּa/SUmakeאֶת־הָעֵץet-ha/ETSthe treeטוֹבtovgoodוְאֶת־פִּרְיוֹve/ET-pir/YOand its fruitטוֹבtovgoodאוֹoor elseעֲשׂוּa/SUmakeאֶת־הָעֵץet-ha/ETSthe treeנִשְׁחָתnish/CHATcorruptוְאֶת־פִּרְיוֹve/ET-pir/YOand its fruitנִשְׁחָתnish/CHATcorruptכִּיkiforבְּפִרְיוֹbe/fir/YOby its fruitנִכַּרnik/KARis knownהָעֵץ׃ha/ETSthe tree

    Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.

34. 34

    יַלְדֵיyal/DEO offspring ofצִפְעוֹנִיםtsif/o/NIMvipersאֵיכָהe/KHAhowתוּכְלוּtukh/LUcan youלְדַבֵּרle/dab/BERspeakטוֹבtovgoodוְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMand you areרָעִיםra/IMevilכִּי־מִשִּׁפְעַתki-mish/shif/ATfor from the overflow ofהַלֵּבhal/LEVthe heartיְדַבֵּרye/dab/BERspeaksהַפֶּה׃hap/PEthe mouth

    O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

35. 35

    אִישׁisha manטוֹבtovgoodמֵאוֹצַרme/o/TSARout of the treasure ofלִבּוֹlib/BOhis heartהַטּוֹבhat/TOVgoodמוֹצִיאmo/TSIbrings forthאֶת־הַטּוֹבet-hat/TOVthe goodוְאִישׁve/ISHand a manרָעraevilמֵאוֹצַרme/o/TSARfrom the treasure ofהָרַעha/RAevilמוֹצִיאmo/TSIbrings forthרָע׃raevil

    A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

36. 36

    וַאֲנִיva/a/NIbut Iאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMto youכׇּל־מִלָּהkol-mil/LAevery wordבְטֵלָהve/te/LAidleאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיְדַבְּרוּye/dab/be/RUspeakבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofהָאָדָםha/a/DAMmenיִתְּנוּyit/te/NUthey will giveעָלֶיהָa/LE/hafor itחֶשְׁבּוֹןchesh/BONan accountבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin the day ofהַדִּין׃had/DINjudgment

    But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

37. 37

    כִּיkiforמִדְּבָרֶיךָmid/de/va/RE/khaby your wordsתִּצָּדֵקtits/tsa/DEKyou will be justifiedוּמִדְּבָרֶיךָu/mid/de/va/re/KHAand by your wordsתְּחֻיָּב׃te/chuy/YAVyou will be condemned

    For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

38. 38

    וַיַּעֲנוּvay/ya/a/NUand answeredאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenמִן־הַסּוֹפְרִיםmin-has/sof/RIMof the scribesוְהַפְּרוּשִׁיםve/hap/Pe/ru/SHIMand of the Phariseesוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidרַבִּיrab/BIrabbiחָפַצְנוּcha/fats/NUwe desireלִרְאוֹתlir/OTto seeאוֹתota signעַל־יָדֶךָ׃al-ya/DE/khaby your hand

    Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.

39. 39

    וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand he answeredוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themדּוֹרdora generationרָעraevilוּמְנָאֵףu/me/na/EFand adulterousמְבַקֶּשׁ־לוֹme/vak/KESH-loseeks for itselfאוֹתota signוְאוֹתve/OTand a signלֹאlonoיִנָּתֶן־לוֹyin/NA/ten-lowill be given itבִּלְתִּיbil/TIexceptאִם־אוֹתim-otthe sign ofיוֹנָהYo/NAJonahהַנָּבִיא׃han/na/VIthe prophet

    But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:

40. 40

    כִּיkiforכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasהָיָהha/YAwasיוֹנָהYo/NAJonahבִּמְעֵיbim/Ein the belly ofהַדָּגhad/DAGthe fishשְׁלֹשָׁהshe/lo/SHAthreeיָמִיםya/MIMdaysוּשְׁלֹשָׁהu/she/lo/SHAand threeלֵילוֹתle/LOTnightsכֵּןkensoיִהְיֶהyih/YEwill beבֶן־הָאָדָםven-Ha/a/DAMthe Son of manבְּלֵבbe/LEVin the heart ofהָאֲדָמָהha/a/da/MAthe earthשְׁלֹשָׁהshe/lo/SHAthreeיָמִיםya/MIMdaysוּשְׁלֹשָׁהu/she/lo/SHAand threeלֵילוֹת׃le/LOTnights

    For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

41. 41

    אַנְשֵׁיan/SHEthe men ofנִינְוֵהNi/ne/VENinevehיַעַמְדוּya/am/DUwill standלְמִשְׁפַּטle/mish/PATin judgmentעִם־הַדּוֹרim-had/DORwith the generationהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְיַרְשִׁיעוּהוּve/yar/shi/u/HUand will condemn itכִּיkibecauseהֵםhemtheyשָׁבוּSHA/vurepentedבִּקְרִיאַתbik/ri/ATat the proclaiming ofיוֹנָהYo/NAJonahוְהִנֵּה־פֹהve/hin/NE-foand behold here isגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreaterמִיּוֹנָה׃miy/Yo/NAthan Jonah

    The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

42. 42

    מַלְכַּתmal/KATthe queen ofתֵּימָןte/MANthe southתַּעֲמֹדta/a/MODwill standלְמִשְׁפַּטle/mish/PATin judgmentעִם־הַדּוֹרim-had/DORwith the generationהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְתַרְשִׁיעֶנּוּve/tar/shi/en/NUand will condemn itכִּיkiforבָאָהva/Ashe cameמִקְצוֹתmik/TSOTfrom the ends ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthלִשְׁמֹעַlish/MO/ato hearאֶת־חׇכְמַתet-chokh/MATthe wisdom ofשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonוְהִנֵּה־פֹהve/hin/NE-foand behold here isגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreaterמִשְּׁלֹמֹה׃mish/She/lo/MOthan Solomon

    The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

43. 43

    וְהָרוּחַve/ha/RU/achand the spiritהַטְּמֵאָהhat/te/me/Auncleanאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterצֵאתָהּtse/TAit goes outמִן־הָאָדָםmin-ha/a/DAMfrom the manתְּשֹׁטֵטte/sho/TETroamsבִּמְקֹמוֹתbim/ko/MOTin placesצִיָּהtsiy/YAdryלְבַקֶּשׁ־לָהּle/vak/KESH-laseeking for itselfמָנוֹחַma/NO/achrestוְלֹאve/LOand notתִמְצָא׃tim/TSAfinds

    When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

44. 44

    אָזazthenתֹּאמַרto/MARit saysאָשׁוּבָהa/SHU/vaI will returnאֶל־בֵּיתִיel-be/TIinto my houseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיָצָאתִיya/TSA/tiI came outמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thereוּבָאָהu/VA/aand it comesוּמָצְאָהu/ma/tse/Aand findsאֹתוֹo/TOitמְפֻנֶּהme/fun/NEclearedוּמְטֻאטָאu/me/tu/TAand sweptוּמְהֻדָּר׃u/me/hud/DARand adorned

    Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.

45. 45

    וְאַחַרve/a/CHARthenתֵּלֵךְte/LEKHit goesוְלָקְחָהve/la/ke/CHAand takesעִמָּהּim/MAwith itשֶׁבַעSHE/vasevenרוּחוֹתru/CHOTspiritsאֲחֵרוֹתa/che/ROTotherרָעוֹתra/OTmore evilמִמֶּנָּהmim/MEN/nathan itselfוּבָאוּu/VA/uand they enterוְשָׁכְנוּve/sha/khe/NUand dwellשָׁםshamthereוְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand isאַחֲרִיתa/cha/RITthe last state ofהָאָדָםha/a/DAMmanהַהוּאha/HUthatרָעָהra/Aworseמֵרֵאשִׁיתוֹme/re/shi/TOthan the firstכֵּןkensoיִהְיֶהyih/YEwill it beגַּם־לַדּוֹרgam-lad/DORalso to generationהָרָעha/RAevilהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

46. 46

    עוֹדֶנּוּo/DEN/nuwhile he was stillמְדַבֵּרme/dab/BERspeakingאֶל־הֲמוֹןel-ha/MONto the crowd ofהָעָםha/AMthe peopleוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאִמּוֹim/MOhis motherוְאֶחָיוve/e/CHAYVand his brothersעָמְדוּa/me/DUstoodבַּחוּץba/CHUTSoutsideוְהֵםve/HEMand they wereמְבַקְשִׁיםme/vak/SHIMseekingלְדַבֵּרle/dab/BERto speakאִתּוֹ׃it/TOwith him

    While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.

47. 47

    וַיֻּגַּדvay/yug/GADand it was toldאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאִמְּךָim/me/KHAyour motherוְאַחֶיךָve/a/CHE/khaand your brothersעֹמְדִיםom/DIMstandבַּחוּץba/CHUTSoutsideוּמְבַקְשִׁיםu/me/vak/SHIMand seekingלְדַבֵּרle/dab/BERto speakאִתָּךְ׃it/TAKHwith you

    Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.

48. 48

    וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand he answeredוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֶל־הָאִישׁel-ha/ISHto the manהַמַּגִּידham/mag/GIDwho toldלוֹlohimמִיmiwhoהִיאhiisאִמִּיim/MImy motherוּמִיu/MIand whoהֵםhemareאֶחָי׃e/CHAYmy brothers

    But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?

49. 49

    וַיֵּטvay/YETand he stretched outיָדוֹya/DOhis handעַל־תַּלְמִידָיוal-tal/mi/DAYVover his disciplesוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאִמִּיim/MImy motherוְאֶחָי׃ve/e/CHAYand my brothers

    And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!

50. 50

    כִּיkiforכׇּלkolwhoeverהָעֹשֶׂהha/o/SEdoesרְצוֹןre/TSONthe will ofאָבִיA/VImy Fatherשֶׁבַּשָּׁמָיִםsheb/bash/sha/MA/yimwho is in heavenהוּאhuhe isאָחacha brotherוְאָחוֹתve/a/CHOTand sisterוְאֵםve/EMand motherלִי׃lito me

    For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
