1. 1

   And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

   And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.

   And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.

   וַיֵּרָאvay/ye/RAand appearedאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themאֵלִיָּסE/liy/YASEliasוּמֹשֶׁהu/Mo/SHEand Mosesוַיִּהְיוּvay/yih/YUand they wereמִדַּבְּרִיםmid/dab/be/RIMspeakingעִם־יֵשׁוּעַ׃im-Ye/SHU/awith Jesus

   And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.

   And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

   כִּיkiforלֹא־יָדַעlo-ya/DAhe did not knowמַה־יְדַבֵּרma-ye/dab/BERwhat to speakכִּיkiforנִבְהָלוּ׃niv/HA/luthey were terrified

   For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.

7. 7

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand there wasעָנָןa/NANa cloudסוֹכֵךְso/KHEKHcoveringעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMthemוַיֵּצֵאvay/ye/TSEand came outמִן־הֶעָנָןmin-he/a/NANout of the cloudקוֹלkola voiceאֹמֵרo/MERsayingזֶהzethisבְּנִיbe/NIMy Sonיְדִידִיye/di/DIMy belovedאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himתִּשְׁמָעוּן׃tish/ma/UNyou shall listen

   And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

8. 8

   וַיַּבִּיטוּvay/yab/BI/tuand they lookedפִתְאֹםfit/OMsuddenlyכֹּהkohereוָכֹהva/KHOand thereוְלֹא־רָאוּve/LO-ra/Uand did not seeעוֹדodanymoreאִישׁisha manבִּלְתִּיbil/TIexceptאֶת־יֵשׁוּעַet-Ye/SHU/aJesusלְבַדּוֹle/vad/DOaloneאִתָּם׃it/TAMwith them

   And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.

   וַיֵּרְדוּvay/yer/DUand they went downמִן־הָהָרmin-ha/HARfrom the mountainוַיַּזְהִירֵםvay/yaz/hi/REMand he warned themלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TInot toהַגִּידhag/GIDtellלְאִישׁle/ISHany manאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhatרָאוּra/Uthey had seenעַדaduntilכִּי־יָקוּםki-ya/KUMrisesבֶּן־הָאָדָםben-Ha/a/DAMthe Son of manמִן־הַמֵּתִים׃min-ham/me/TIMfrom the dead

   And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.

    וַיִּשְׁמְרוּvay/yish/me/RUand they keptאֶת־הַדָּבָרet-had/da/VARthe wordבִּלְבָבָםbil/va/VAMin their heartוַיִּדְרְשׁוּvay/yid/re/SHUand inquiredלָדַעַתla/DA/atto knowהַתְּקוּמָהhat/te/ku/MAthe risingמִן־הַמֵּתִיםmin-ham/me/TIMfrom the deadמַה־הִיא׃ma-hiwhat it is

    And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.

    וַיִּשְׁאָלֻהוּvay/yish/a/lu/HUand they asked himלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingמַה־זֶּהma-zewhyאֹמְרִיםom/RIMsayהַסּוֹפְרִיםhas/sof/RIMthe scribesכִּיkithatאֵלִיָּסE/liy/YASEliasבּוֹאbocomeיָבוֹאya/VOmust comeבָּרִאשׁוֹנָה׃ba/ri/sho/NAfirst

    And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?

12. 12

    וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand he answeredוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלָהֶםla/HEMto themהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֵלִיָּסE/liy/YASEliasבָּאbacomesבָרִאשׁוֹנָהva/ri/sho/NAfirstוְיָשִׁיבve/ya/SHIVand will restoreאֶת־הַכֹּלet-hak/KOLall thingsוּמַה־כָּתוּבu/MA-ka/TUVand how is it writtenעַלalaboutבֶּן־הָאָדָםben-Ha/a/DAMthe Son of manהֲלֹאha/LOis it notאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיְעֻנֶּהye/un/NEhe will sufferהַרְבֵּהhar/BEmuchוְיִמָּאֵס׃ve/yim/ma/ESand be rejected

    And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.

    אֲבָלa/VALbutאֹמֵרo/MERsayאֲנִיa/NIIלָכֶםla/KHEMto youגַּם־בָּאgam-baalso has comeאֵלִיָּסE/liy/YASEliasוְגַם־עָשׂוּve/GAM-a/SUand also they didלוֹloto himכִּרְצוֹנָםkir/tso/NAMas they desiredכַּכָּתוּבkak/ka/TUVas it is writtenעָלָיו׃a/LAYVabout him

    But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכְּבוֹאוֹke/vo/Owhen he cameאֶל־הַתַּלְמִידִיםel-hat/tal/mi/DIMto his disciplesוַיַּרְאvay/YARand he sawעַם־רָבam-ravmany peopleסְבִיבוֹתָםse/vi/vo/TAMaround themוְסוֹפְרִיםve/sof/RIMand scribesמִתְוַכְּחִיםmit/vak/ke/CHIMdisputingעִמָּם׃im/MAMwith them

    And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.

15. 15

    וְכׇל־הָעָםve/KHOL-ha/AMand all the peopleכִּרְאוֹתָםkir/o/TAMwhen they sawאֹתוֹo/TOhimכֵּןkensoתָּמָהוּta/MA/huthey marveledוַיָּרוּצוּvay/ya/RU/tsuand ranאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himוַיִּשְׁאֲלוּ־לוֹvay/yish/a/LU-loand asked himלְשָׁלוֹם׃le/sha/LOMof his peace

    And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.

16. 16

    וַיִּשְׁאַלvay/yish/ALand he askedאֶת־הַסּוֹפְרִיםet-has/sof/RIMthe scribesמָה־אַתֶּםma-at/TEMwhat are youמִתְוַכְּחִיםmit/vak/ke/CHIMdisputingעִמָּהֶם׃im/ma/HEMwith them

    And he asked the scribes, What question ye with them?

17. 17

    וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand answeredאֶחָדe/CHADoneמִן־הָעָםmin-ha/AMof the peopleוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidרַבִּיrab/BIrabbiהֵבֵאתִיhe/VE/tiI broughtאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youאֶת־בְּנִיet-be/NImy sonאֲשֶׁר־רוּחַa/SHER-RU/achwho has a spiritאִלֵּםil/LEMmuteבְּקִרְבּוֹ׃be/kir/BOwithin him

    And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;

18. 18

    וּבְכׇל־מָקוֹםu/ve/KHOL-ma/KOMand in every placeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיֹאחֲזֵהוּyo/cha/ze/HUit seizes himהוּאhuitמְרַצֵּץme/rats/TSETSdashesאֹתוֹo/TOhimוְיָרַדve/ya/RADand goes downרִירוֹri/ROhis spittleוְחָרַקve/cha/RAKand he gnashesשִׁנָּיוshin/NAYVhis teethוְיָבֵשׁve/ya/VESHand dries upגּוּפוֹgu/FOhis bodyוָאֹמַרva/o/MARand I saidאֶל־תַּלְמִידֶיךָel-tal/mi/de/KHAto your disciplesלְגָרֲשׁוֹle/ga/ra/SHOto cast it outוְלֹאve/LOand notיָכֹלוּ׃ya/KHO/luthey could

    And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.

19. 19

    וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand he answeredוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלָהֶםla/HEMto themהוֹיhoyOדּוֹרdorgenerationחֲסַרcha/SARlackingאֱמוּנָהe/mu/NAfaithעַד־מָתַיad-ma/TAYhow longאֶהְיֶהeh/YEshall I beעִמָּכֶםim/ma/KHEMwith youעַד־מָתַיad-ma/TAYhow longאֶשָּׂאes/SAshall I bearאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouהָבִיאוּha/VI/ubringאֹתוֹo/TOhimלְפָנָי׃le/fa/NAYbefore me

    He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.

20. 20

    וַיְבִיאֻהוּvay/vi/U/huand they brought himלְפָנָיוle/fa/NAYVbefore himוַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenרָאָהוּra/A/huit saw himוַיְזַעֲזֵעֵנוּvay/za/a/ze/e/NUconvulsed himהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe spiritפִּתְאֹםpit/OMsuddenlyוַיִּפֹּלvay/yip/POLand he fellאַרְצָהAR/tsato the groundוַיִּתְגּוֹלֵלvay/yit/go/LELand rolledוַיּוֹרֶדvay/YO/redand let downרִירוֹ׃ri/ROhis spittle

    And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.

21. 21

    וַיִּשְׁאַלvay/yish/ALand he askedאֶת־אָבִיוet-a/VIVhis fatherכַּמָּהkam/MAhow manyיָמִיםya/MIMdaysהָיְתָה־לּוֹha/ye/TA-lohas there been to himזֹאתzotthisוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמִימֵיMI/mefrom the days ofנְעוּרָיו׃ne/u/RAYVhis youth

    And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.

22. 22

    וּפְעָמִיםu/fe/a/MIMand timesרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyהִפִּילhip/PILit threwאֹתוֹo/TOhimגַּם־בָּאֵשׁgam-ba/ESHboth into the fireגַּם־בַּמַּיִםgam-bam/MA/yimand into the waterלְהַאֲבִידוֹle/ha/a/vi/DOto destroy himאַךְakhbutאִם־יָכֹלim-ya/KHOLif ableתּוּכַלtu/KHALyou are ableרַחֵםra/CHEMhave mercyעָלֵינוּa/LE/nuon usוְעׇזְרֵנוּ׃ve/oz/RE/nuand help us

    And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.

23. 23

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingאִם־תּוּכַלim-tu/KHALif you canלְהַאֲמִיןle/ha/a/MINbelieveכֹּלkolallיוּכַלyu/KHALis possibleהַמַּאֲמִין׃ham/ma/a/MINfor the one who believes

    Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

24. 24

    וַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand gaveאֲבִיa/VIthe father ofהַיֶּלֶדhay/YE/ledthe childאֶת־קֹלוֹet-ko/LOhis voiceבִּבְכִיbiv/KHIwith weepingוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidאֲנִיa/NIIמַאֲמִיןma/a/MINbelieveאֲדֹנִיa/do/NImy Lordעֲזָר־נָאa/ZAR-nahelp nowלְחֶסְרוֹןle/ches/RONthe lack ofאֱמוּנָתִי׃e/mu/na/TImy faith

    And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

25. 25

    וַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMthe peopleמִתְקַבֵּץmit/kab/BETSgatheringאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himוַיִּגְעַרvay/yig/ARand he rebukedבָּרוּחַba/RU/achthe spiritהַטָּמֵאhat/ta/MEuncleanוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidרוּחַRU/achspiritאִלֵּםil/LEMmuteוְחֵרֵשׁve/che/RESHand deafאֲנִיa/NIIמְצַוְּךָme/tsav/ve/KHAcommand youצֵאtsecome outמִמֶּנּוּmim/MEN/nufrom himוְאַל־תֹּסֶףve/AL-TO/sefand do not againלָבוֹא־בוֹla/VO-voenter himעוֹד׃odanymore

    When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

26. 26

    וַיִּצְעַקvay/yits/AKand it cried outוַיְזַעֲזֵעַvay/za/a/ZE/aand convulsedאֹתוֹo/TOhimמְאֹדme/ODgreatlyוַיֵּצֵאvay/ye/TSEand went outוַיְהִיvay/HIand he wasכַמֵּתkham/METlike a dead manוְרַבִּיםve/rab/BIMand manyאָמְרוּa/me/RUsaidכִּיkithatגָוָע׃ga/VAhe has died

    And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.

27. 27

    וַיַּחֲזֵקvay/ya/cha/ZEKand took holdיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusבְּיָדוֹbe/ya/DOof his handוַיְעִירֵהוּvay/i/re/HUand roused himוַיָּקֹם׃vay/ya/KOMand he arose

    But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.

28. 28

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenבָּאbahe cameהַבַּיְתָהhab/BAY/tainto the houseוַיִּשְׁאָלֻהוּvay/yish/a/lu/HUasked himתַלְמִידָיוtal/mi/DAYVhis disciplesבִּהְיוֹתָםbih/yo/TAMwhen they wereאִתּוֹit/TOwith himלְבַדָּםle/vad/DAMaloneלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingמַדּוּעַmad/DU/awhyאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweלֹאlonotיָכֹלְנוּya/khol/NUcouldלְגָרְשׁוֹ׃le/ga/re/SHOto cast it out

    And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?

29. 29

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themהַמִּיןham/MINthe kindהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisיָצֹאya/TSOgo outלֹאlonotיֵצֵאye/TSEwill go outכִּיkibutאִםimratherבִּתְפִלָּהbit/fil/LAby prayerוּבְצוֹם׃u/ve/TSOMand fasting

    And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

30. 30

    וַיֵּצְאוּvay/yets/Uand they went outמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thereוַיַּעַבְרוּvay/ya/av/RUand passed throughבַּגָּלִילBag/ga/LILGalileeוְלֹאve/LOand notאָבָהa/VAhe was willingלְהִוָּדַעle/hiv/va/DAto be knownלְאִישׁ׃le/ISHto any man

    And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know it.

31. 31

    כִּיkiforהָיָהha/YAhe wasמְלַמֵּדme/lam/MEDteachingאֶת־תַּלְמִידָיוet-tal/mi/DAYVhis disciplesלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themכִּיkithatעָתִידa/TIDis aboutבֶּן־הָאָדָםben-Ha/a/DAMthe Son of manלְהִמָּסֵרle/him/ma/SERto be deliveredבִּידֵיbi/DEinto the hands ofבְנֵי־אָדָםve/NE-a/DAMthe sons of menוְיַהַרְגֻהוּve/ya/har/gu/HUand they will kill himוְאַחֲרֵיve/a/cha/REand afterמוֹתוֹmo/TOhis deathיָקוּםya/KUMhe will riseבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMon the dayהַשְּׁלִישִׁי׃hash/she/li/SHIthird

    For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.

32. 32

    וְהֵםve/HEMand theyלֹאlonotהֵבִינוּhe/VI/nuunderstoodאֵת־הַדָּבָרet-had/da/VARthe wordוַיִּירְאוּvay/yi/re/Uand they were afraidלִשְׁאֹלlish/OLto askאוֹתוֹ׃o/TOhim

    But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.

33. 33

    וַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand he cameאֶל־כְּפַר־נַחוּםel-Ke/FAR-na/CHUMto Capernaumוַיְהִיvay/HIand he wasבַבַּיִתvab/BA/yitin the houseוַיִּשְׁאַלvay/yish/ALhe askedאֹתָםo/TAMthemמָהmawhat was it thatהִתְוַכַּחְתֶּםhit/vak/kach/TEMdid you disputeאִישׁisha manעִם־רֵעֵהוּim-re/E/huwith his neighborבַּדָּרֶךְ׃bad/DA/rekhon the way

    And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way?

34. 34

    וַיַּחֲרִישׁוּvay/ya/cha/RI/shuand they were silentכִּיkiforהִתְעַשְּׂקוּhit/as/se/KUthey had disputedבַדֶּרֶךְvad/DE/rekhon the wayמִיmiwhoהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLis the greatestבָּהֶם׃ba/HEMamong them

    But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.

    וַיֵּשֶׁבvay/YE/shevand he satוַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand calledאֶל־שְׁנֵים־הֶעָשָׂרel-she/NEM-he/a/SARto the twelveוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themאִישׁisha manכִּי־יַחְפֹּץki-yach/POTSif desiresלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beהָרִאשׁוֹןha/ri/SHONfirstהוּאhuheיִהְיֶהyih/YEwill beהָאַחֲרוֹןha/a/cha/RONlastלְכֻלָּםle/khul/LAMof all of themוּמְשָׁרֵתu/me/sha/RETand the servant ofכֻּלָּם׃kul/LAMall of them

    And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.

36. 36

    וַיִּקַּחvay/yik/KACHand he tookיֶלֶדYE/leda childוַיַּעֲמִידֵהוּvay/ya/a/mi/de/HUand stood himבְתוֹכָםve/to/KHAMin their midstוַיְחַבְּקֵהוּvay/chab/be/KE/huand embraced himוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלָהֶם׃la/HEMto them

    And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,

37. 37

    Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.

38. 38

    וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand answeredיוֹחָנָןYo/cha/NANJohnוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himרַבִּיrab/BIrabbiרָאִינוּra/I/nuwe sawאִישׁisha manמְגָרֵשׁme/ga/RESHcasting outשֵׁדִיםshe/DIMdemonsבְּשִׁמְךָbe/shim/KHAin your nameוְאֵינֶנּוּve/e/NEN/nuand he does notהוֹלֵךְho/LEKHgoאַחֲרֵינוּa/cha/RE/nuafter usוַנִּכְלָאֶנּוּvan/nikh/la/en/NUand we restrained himיַעַןYA/anbecauseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹא־הָלַךְlo-ha/LAKHhe did not goאַחֲרֵינוּ׃a/cha/RE/nuafter us

    And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.

39. 39

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusאַל־תִּכְלָאֻהוּal-tikh/la/u/HUdo not restrain himכִּיkiforאֵיןenthere is notאִישׁisha manעֹשֶׂהo/SEwho doesגְבוּרָהge/vu/RAa miracleבִּשְׁמִיbish/MIin my nameוְיוּכַלve/yu/KHALand canבִּמְהֵרָהbim/he/RAquicklyלְדַבֵּר־בִּיle/dab/BER-bispeak against meרָעָה׃ra/Aevil

    But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.

40. 40

    כִּיkiforכֹלkholallאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nuis notלְצָרֵינוּle/tsa/RE/nuagainst usלָנוּLA/nufor usהוּא׃huis he

    For he that is not against us is on our part.

41. 41

    כִּיkiforכׇל־הַמַּשְׁקֶהkhol-ham/mash/KEwhoever gives to drinkאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouכּוֹסkosa cup ofמַיִםMA/yimwaterבִּשְׁמִיbish/MIin my nameבַּאֲשֶׁרba/a/SHERbecauseלַמָּשִׁיחַlam/Ma/SHI/achto the Messiahאַתֶּםat/TEMyou belongאָמֵןa/MENamenאֹמֵרo/MERsayאֲנִיa/NIIלָכֶםla/KHEMto youלֹא־יֹאבַדlo-yo/VADhe shall not loseשְׂכָרוֹ׃se/kha/ROhis reward

    For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

42. 42

    וְכׇל־הַמַּכְשִׁילve/KHOL-ham/makh/SHILand whoever causes to stumbleאַחַדa/CHADone ofהַקְּטַנִּיםhak/ke/tan/NIMthe little onesהַמַּאֲמִינִיםham/ma/a/mi/NIMwho believeבִּיbiin meטוֹבtovbetterלוֹlofor himשֶׁיִּתָּלֶהshey/yit/ta/LEthat were hungפֶלַח־רֶכֶבFE/lach-RE/khevan upper millstoneעַל־צַוָּארוֹal-tsav/va/ROon his neckוְהֻשְׁלַךְve/hush/LAKHand he were thrownבַּיָּם׃bay/YAMinto the sea

    And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

43. 43

    וְאִם־יָדְךָve/IM-ya/de/KHAand if your handתַכְשִׁילְךָtakh/shi/le/KHAcauses you to stumbleקַצֵּץkats/TSETScut offאֹתָהּo/TAitטוֹבtovbetterלְךָle/KHAfor youלָבוֹאla/VOto enterלַחַיִּיםla/chay/YIMinto lifeוְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youקִטֵּעkit/TEmaimedמִהְיוֹתmih/YOTthan to beלְךָle/KHAto youשְׁתֵּיshtetwoיָדַיִםya/DA/yimhandsוְתֵלֵךְve/te/LEKHand goאֶל־גֵּיהִנֹּםel-Ge/hin/NOMto Gehennaאֶל־הָאֵשׁel-ha/ESHto the fireאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹאlonotתִכְבֶּה׃tikh/BEis quenched

    And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

44. 44

    אֲשֶׁר־שָׁםa/SHER-shamwhereתּוֹלַעְתָּםto/la/TAMtheir wormלֹאlonotתָמוּתta/MUTdiesוְאִשָּׁםve/ish/SHAMand their fireלֹאlonotתִכְבֶּה׃tikh/BEis quenched

    Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

45. 45

    וְאִם־רַגְלְךָve/IM-rag/le/KHAand if your footתַּכְשִׁילְךָtakh/shi/le/KHAcauses you to stumbleקַצֵּץkats/TSETScut offאֹתָהּo/TAitטוֹבtovbetterלְךָle/KHAfor youלָבוֹאla/VOto enterלַחַיִּיםla/chay/YIMinto lifeוְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youפִסֵּחַfis/SE/achlameמִהְיוֹתmih/YOTthan to beלְךָle/KHAto youשְׁתֵּיshtetwoרַגְלַיִםrag/LA/yimfeetוְתֻשְׁלַךְve/tush/LAKHand be thrownלְגֵיהִנֹּםle/Ge/hin/NOMinto Gehennaאֶל־הָאֵשׁel-ha/ESHinto the fireאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹאlonotתִכְבֶּה׃tikh/BEis quenched

    And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

46. 46

    אֲשֶׁר־שָׁםa/SHER-shamwhereתּוֹלַעְתָּםto/la/TAMtheir wormלֹאlonotתָמוּתta/MUTdiesוְאִשָּׁםve/ish/SHAMand their fireלֹאlonotתִכְבֶּה׃tikh/BEis quenched

    Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

47. 47

    וְאִם־עֵינְךָve/IM-e/ne/KHAand if your eyeתַכְשִׁילְךָtakh/shi/le/KHAcauses you to stumbleעֲקֹרa/KORtear outאֹתָהּo/TAitטוֹבtovbetterלְךָle/KHAfor youלָבוֹאla/VOto enterבְּמַלְכוּתbe/mal/KHUTthe kingdom ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodבַּעַלBA/alhavingעַיִןA/yineyeאַחַתa/CHAToneמִהְיוֹתmih/YOTthan to beלְךָle/KHAto youשְׁתֵּיshtetwoעֵינַיִםe/NA/yimeyesוְתֻשְׁלַךְve/tush/LAKHand be thrownאֶל־אֵשׁel-eshinto the fire ofגֵּיהִנֹּם׃Ge/hin/NOMGehenna

    And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:

48. 48

    אֲשֶׁר־שָׁםa/SHER-shamwhereתּוֹלַעְתָּםto/la/TAMtheir wormלֹאlonotתָמוּתta/MUTdiesוְאִשָּׁםve/ish/SHAMand their fireלֹאlonotתִכְבֶּה׃tikh/BEis quenched

    Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

49. 49

    כִּיkiforכׇל־אִישׁkhol-ishevery manבָּאֵשׁba/ESHwith fireיֻמְלַחyum/LACHshall be saltedוְכׇל־קׇרְבָּןve/KHOL-kor/BANand every offeringבַּמֶּלַחbam/ME/lachwith saltיֻמְלָח׃yum/LACHshall be salted

    For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.

50. 50

    טוֹבtovgoodהַמֶּלַחham/ME/lachis the saltוְאִם־הַמֶּלַחve/IM-ham/ME/lachand if the saltיִהְיֶהyih/YEbecomesתָפֵלta/FELtastelessבַּמֶּהbam/MEwith whatתִּמְלְחוּtim/le/CHUwill you seasonאוֹתוֹo/TOitיְהִי־לָכֶםye/HI-la/KHEMlet there be to youמֶלַחME/lachsaltבְּקִרְבְּכֶםbe/kir/be/KHEMin yourselvesוִיהִיvi/HIand let there beשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMpeaceבֵּינֵיכֶם׃be/ne/KHEMbetween you

    Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
