   וּבְאֶחָדu/ve/e/CHADand on the first ofבַּשַּׁבָּתbash/shab/BATthe weekלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeעֲלוֹתa/LOTthe rising ofהַשַּׁחַרhash/SHA/charthe dawnבָּאוּBA/uthey cameאֶל־הַקֶּבֶרel-hak/KE/verto the tombוַתְּבִיאֶינָהvat/te/vi/E/naand they broughtאֶת־הַסַּמִּיםet-has/sam/MIMthe spicesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהֵכִינוּhe/KHI/nuthey had preparedוְעִמָּהֶןve/im/ma/HENand with themנָשִׁיםna/SHIMwomenאֲחֵרוֹת׃a/che/ROTothers

   Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

   וַתִּרְאֶינָהvat/tir/E/naand they sawוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdהָאֶבֶןha/E/venthe stoneגְּלוּלָהge/lu/LArolledמִן־הַקָּבֶר׃min-hak/KA/verfrom the tomb

   And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.

   וַתָּבֹאנָהvat/ta/VO/naand they enteredאֶל־תּוֹכוֹel-to/KHOinto itוְלֹאve/LOand notמָצְאוּma/tse/Udid they findאֶת־גְּוִיַּתet-ge/viy/YATthe body ofהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe Lordיֵשׁוּעַ׃Ye/SHU/aJesus

   And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passהֵנָּהHEN/natheyנְבֻכוֹתne/vu/KHOTwere perplexedעַל־הַדָּבָרal-had/da/VARat the matterהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdשְׁנֵיshe/NEtwoאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenעָמְדוּa/me/DUstoodעֲלֵיהֶןa/le/HENby themוּלְבוּשֵׁיהֶםu/le/vu/she/HEMand their clothingמַזְהִירִים׃maz/hi/RIMshining

   And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:

   וַיִּפֹּלvay/yip/POLand fellפַּחַדPA/chadfearעֲלֵיהֶןa/le/HENon themוַתִּשְׁתַּחֲוֶינָהvat/tish/ta/cha/ve/NAand bowed downפְּנֵיהֶןpe/ne/HENtheir facesאָרְצָהAR/tsato the earthוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֲלֵיהֶןa/le/HENto themמַה־תְּבַקֵּשְׁנָהma-te/vak/kesh/NAwhy do you seekאֶת־הַחַיet-ha/CHAYthe livingבֵּיןbenamongהַמֵּתִים׃ham/me/TIMthe dead

   And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

   אֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nuhe is notפֹהfohereכִּיkiforקָםkamhe has risenזְכֹרְנָהze/khor/NArememberאֵת־אֲשֶׁר־דִּבֶּרet-a/SHER-dib/BERwhat he spokeאֲלֵיכֶןa/le/KHENto youבְּעוֹדֶנּוּbe/o/DEN/nuwhile he was stillבַגָּלִיל׃Vag/ga/LILin Galilee

   He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,

   לֵאמֹרle/MORsayingכִּיkithatצָרִיךְtsa/RIKHmustבֶּן־הָאָדָםben-Ha/a/DAMthe Son of manלְהִמָּסֵרle/him/ma/SERbe deliveredלִידֵיli/DEinto the hands ofאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenחַטָּאִיםchat/ta/IMsinnersוּלְהִצָּלֵבu/le/hits/tsa/LEVand be crucifiedוּבַיּוֹםu/vay/YOMand on the dayהַשְּׁלִישִׁיhash/she/li/SHIthirdקוֹםkomriseיָקוּם׃ya/KUMhe will rise

   Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

   וַתִּזְכֹּרְנָהvat/tiz/kor/NAand they rememberedאֶת־דְּבָרָיו׃et-de/va/RAYVhis words

   And they remembered his words,

   וַתָּשֹׁבְנָהvat/ta/SHOV/naand they returnedמִן־הַקָּבֶרmin-hak/KA/verfrom the tombוַתַּגֵּדְנָהvat/tag/ged/NAand they toldאֵת־כׇּל־הַדְּבָרִיםet-kol-had/de/va/RIMall the thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseלְעַשְׁתֵּי־הֶעָשָׂרle/ash/TE-he/a/SARto the elevenוּלְכׇל־הַנִּשְׁאָרִים׃u/le/KHOL-han/nish/a/RIMand to all the rest

   And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.

    וְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand theseהֵןhenareאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהִגִּידוּhig/GI/dutoldאֶל־הַשְּׁלִיחִיםel-hash/she/li/CHIMthe apostlesאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseמִרְיָםMir/YAMMaryהַמַּגְדָּלִיתHam/mag/da/LITMagdaleneוְיוֹחָנָהve/Yo/cha/NAand Joannaוּמִרְיָםu/Mir/YAMand Maryאֵםemthe mother ofיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJamesוְהָאֲחֵרוֹת׃ve/ha/a/che/ROTand the other women

    It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles.

    וְדִבְרֵיהֶןve/div/re/HENand their wordsהָיוּha/YUwereכְּדִבְרֵי־רִיקke/div/RE-riklike empty wordsבְּעֵינֵיהֶםbe/e/ne/HEMin their eyesוְלֹאve/LOand notהֶאֱמִינוּhe/e/MI/nuthey believedלָהֶן׃la/HENthem

    And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.

    וַיָּקׇםvay/YA/komand roseפֶּטְרוֹסPet/ROSPeterוַיָּרׇץvay/YA/rotsand ranאֶל־הַקֶּבֶרel-hak/KE/verto the tombוַיַּשְׁקֵףvay/yash/KEFand he looked inוְלֹא־רָאָהve/LO-ra/Aand he did not seeכִּיkiexceptאִם־הַתַּכְרִיכִיםim-hat/takh/ri/KHIMonly the wrappingsמֻנָּחִיםmun/na/CHIMlyingשָׁםshamthereוַיָּשׇׁבvay/YA/shovand he returnedלִמְקוֹמוֹlim/ko/MOto his placeמִשְׁתּוֹמֵםmish/to/MEMastonishedעַל־אֲשֶׁרal-a/SHERat whatנִהְיָה׃nih/YAhad happened

    Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass.

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdשְׁנַיִםshe/NA/yimtwoמֵהֶםme/HEMof themהָיוּha/YUwereהֹלְכִיםhol/KHIMgoingבְּעֶצֶםbe/E/tsemon the veryהַיּוֹםhay/YOMdayהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאֶל־כְּפָרel-ke/FARto a villageאֶחָדe/CHADoneהַרְחֵקhar/CHEKfarמִירוּשָׁלַיִםmI/ru/sha/LA/yimfrom Jerusalemכְּשִׁשִּׁיםke/shish/SHIMabout sixtyרִיסrisstadiaוּשְׁמוֹu/she/MOand its nameעַמָּאוּס׃Am/ma/USEmmaus

    And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.

    וְהֵםve/HEMand theyנִדְבְּרוּnid/be/RUwere talkingאִישׁisheach manאֶל־רֵעֵהוּel-re/E/huto his neighborעַל־כׇּל־הַקֹּרוֹתal-kol-hak/ko/ROTabout all the eventsהָאֵלֶּה׃ha/EL/lethese

    And they talked together of all these things which had happened.

15. 15

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passהֵםhemthey wereמְדַבְּרִיםme/dab/be/RIMtalkingוּמִתְוַכְּחִיםu/mit/vak/ke/CHIMand debatingיָחַדYA/chadtogetherוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusעַצְמוֹats/MOhimselfנִגַּשׁnig/GASHcame nearוַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand wentאִתָּם׃it/TAMwith them

    And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.

16. 16

    וְעֵינֵיהֶםve/e/ne/HEMand their eyesאֲחוּזוֹתa/chu/ZOTwere heldוְלֹאve/LOand notיַכִּירֻהוּ׃yak/ki/ru/HUthey would recognize him

    But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.

17. 17

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themמָהmawhatהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe wordsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאַתֶּםat/TEMyouנֹשְׂאִיםnos/IMare taking upוְנֹתְנִיםve/not/NIMand givingבָּהֶםba/HEMin themיַחְדָּוyach/DAVtogetherבַּדָּרֶךְbad/DA/rekhon the roadוּפְנֵיכֶםu/fe/ne/KHEMand your facesזֹעֲפִים׃zo/a/FIMare sad

    And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?

    וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand answeredאֶחָדe/CHADoneמֵהֶםme/HEMof themוּשְׁמוֹu/she/MOand his nameקְלֵיוֹפָסKe/le/vo/FASCleopasוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himהַאַתָּהha/at/TAare youלְבַדְּךָle/vad/de/KHAaloneגָּרgara strangerבִּירוּשָׁלַיִםbI/ru/sha/LA/yimin Jerusalemוְלֹאve/LOand notיָדַעְתָּya/DA/tayou knewאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhatנַעֲשָׂהna/a/SAwas doneבְתוֹכָהּve/to/KHAin its midstבַּיָּמִיםbay/ya/MIMin the daysהָאֵלֶּה׃ha/EL/lethese

    And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themוּמָהu/MAand whatהִיאhiis itוַיַּגִּידוּvay/yag/GI/duand they saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himמַעֲשֵׂהma/a/SEthe matter ofיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהַנָּצְרִיhan/Na/tse/RIof Nazarethאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהָיָהha/YAwasאִישׁisha manנָבִיאna/VIa prophetגִּבּוֹרgib/BORmightyבְּפֹעַלbe/FO/alin deedוּבְאֹמֶרu/ve/O/merand in wordלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodוְלִפְנֵיve/lif/NEand beforeכׇּל־הָעָם׃kol-ha/AMall the people

    And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:

20. 20

    וְכֹהֲנֵינוּve/kho/ha/NE/nuand our priestsהַגְּדוֹלִיםhag/ge/do/LIMthe highוְשָׂרֵינוּve/sa/RE/nuand our rulersהִסְגִּירֻהוּhis/gi/ru/HUhanded him overלְמִשְׁפַּט־מָוֶתle/mish/PAT-MA/vetto the sentence of deathוַיִּצְלְבֻהוּ׃vay/yits/le/vu/HUand have crucified him

    And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.

21. 21

    וַאֲנַחְנוּva/a/NACH/nubut weקִוִּינוּkiv/VI/nuhopedכִּיkithatזֶה־הוּאze-huthis is heהֶעָתִידhe/a/TIDwho was aboutלִגְאֹלlig/OLto redeemאֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵלet-Yis/ra/ELIsraelוְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowזֶהzethisשְׁלֹשֶׁתshe/LO/shetthreeיָמִיםya/MIMdaysהַיּוֹםhay/YOMtodayמֵאָזme/AZsinceנַעֲשׂוּna/a/SUwere doneאֵלֶּה׃EL/lethese

    But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.

22. 22

    וְגַםve/GAMyea and alsoנָשִׁיםna/SHIMwomenמִקִּרְבֵּנוּmik/kir/be/NUof our companyהֶחֱרִידֻנוּhe/che/ri/du/NUalarmed usאֲשֶׁר־קִדְּמוּa/SHER-kid/de/MUwho went earlyבַבֹּקֶרvab/BO/kerin the morningלָבֹאla/VOto comeאֶל־הַקָּבֶר׃el-hak/KA/verto the tomb

    Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;

23. 23

    וְלֹאve/LOand notמָצְאוּma/tse/Uthey foundאֶת־גְּוִיָּתוֹet-ge/viy/ya/TOhis bodyוַתָּבֹאנָהvat/ta/VO/naand they cameוַתַּגֵּדְנָהvat/tag/ged/NAand they toldכִּיkithatרָאוּra/Uthey sawגַּם־מַרְאֵהgam-mar/Ealso a vision ofמַלְאָכִיםmal/a/KHIMangelsהָאֹמְרִיםha/om/RIMwho saidכִּי־הוּאki-huthat heחָי׃chayalive

    And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.

24. 24

    וַיֵּלְכוּvay/yel/KHUand wentאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenמֵאֲשֶׁרme/a/SHERof those who wereאִתָּנוּit/TA/nuwith usאֶל־הַקָּבֶרel-hak/KA/verto the tombוַיִּמְצְאוּvay/yim/tse/Uand foundכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasאָמְרוּa/me/RUhad saidהַנָּשִׁיםhan/na/SHIMthe womenוְאוֹתוֹve/o/TOand himלֹאlonotרָאוּ׃ra/Uthey saw

    And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.

25. 25

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themהוֹיhoyOחַסְרֵיchas/RElackingדַעַתDA/atknowledgeוְכִבְדֵיve/khiv/DEand heavy ofלֵבlevheartמֵהַאֲמִיןme/ha/a/MINto believeבְּכֹלbe/KHOLin allאֲשֶׁר־דִּבְּרוּa/SHER-dib/be/RUthat spokeהַנְּבִיאִים׃han/ne/vi/IMthe prophets

    Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:

26. 26

    הֲלֹאha/LOwas notעַל־הַמָּשִׁיחַal-Ham/ma/SHI/achon the Messiahהָיָהha/YAitלִסְבֹּלlis/BOLsufferedאֶת־כׇּל־זֹאתet-kol-zotall thisוּלְהִכָּנֵסu/le/hik/ka/NESand to enterבִּכְבוֹדוֹ׃bikh/vo/DOinto his glory

    Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

27. 27

    וַיָּחֶלvay/YA/cheland he beganמִמֹּשֶׁהmim/Mo/SHEfrom Mosesוּמִכׇּל־הַנְּבִיאִיםu/mik/KOL-han/ne/vi/IMand from all the prophetsוַיְבַאֵרvay/va/ERand he explainedלָהֶםla/HEMto themאֶת־כׇּל־הַכְּתוּבִיםet-kol-hak/ke/tu/VIMall the scripturesהַנֶּאֱמָרִיםhan/ne/e/ma/RIMthat were spokenעָלָיו׃a/LAYVabout him

    And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

28. 28

    וַיִּקְרְבוּvay/yik/re/VUand they drew nearאֶל־הַכְּפָרel-hak/ke/FARto the villageאֲשֶׁר־הֵםa/SHER-hemthat theyהֹלְכִיםhol/KHIMwere goingשָׁמָּהSHAM/mathereוַיָּשֶׂםvay/YA/semand he setפָּנָיוpa/NAYVhis faceוַיְהִיvay/HIand he wasכְּהֹלֵךְke/ho/LEKHas goingלוֹlofor himselfלְדַרְכּוֹ׃le/dar/KOon his way

    And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.

    וַיִּפְצְרוּ־בוֹvay/yif/tse/RU-voand they pressed himלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingשְׁבָהshe/VAstayאִתָּנוּit/TA/nuwith usכִּיkiforעֶת־עֶרֶבet-E/revthe time of eveningהִגִּיעַhig/GI/ahas comeוְנָטָהve/na/TAand has declinedהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayוַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand he went inהַבַּיְתָהhab/BAY/tato the houseלָשֶׁבֶתla/SHE/vetto stayאִתָּם׃it/TAMwith them

    But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.

30. 30

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasהֵסֵבhe/SEVhe reclinedעִמָּהֶםim/ma/HEMwith themוַיִּקַּחvay/yik/KACHand he tookאֶת־הַלָּחֶםet-hal/LA/chemthe breadוַיְבָרֶךְvay/VA/rekhand blessedוַיִּבְצַעvay/yiv/TSAand brokeוַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand gaveלָהֶם׃la/HEMto them

    And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.

31. 31

    וַתִּפָּקַחְנָהvat/tip/pa/KACH/naand were openedעֵינֵיהֶםe/ne/HEMtheir eyesוַיַּכִּירֻהוּvay/yak/ki/ru/HUand they recognized himוְהוּאve/HUand heחָמַקcha/MAKslipped awayעָבַרa/VARpassedמֵעֵינֵיהֶם׃me/e/ne/HEMfrom their eyes

    And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

32. 32

    וַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאִישׁisheach manאֶל־רֵעֵהוּel-re/E/huto his neighborהֲלֹאha/LOwas notבֹעֵרvo/ERburningהָיָהha/YAwasלְבָבֵנוּle/va/VE/nuour heartבְּקִרְבֵּנוּbe/kir/BE/nuwithin usבְּדַבְּרוֹbe/dab/be/ROas he spokeאֵלֵינוּe/LE/nuto usבַּדֶּרֶךְbad/DE/rekhon the roadוַיִּפְתַּר־לָנוּvay/yif/TAR-LA/nuand he interpreted to usאֵת־הַכְּתוּבִים׃et-hak/ke/tu/VIMthe scriptures

    And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

    וַיָּקוּמוּvay/ya/KU/muand they roseבַּשָּׁעָהbash/sha/Ain the hourהַהִיאha/HIthatוַיָּשׁוּבוּvay/ya/SHU/vuand returnedיְרוּשָׁלָיִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimto Jerusalemוַיִּמְצְאוּvay/yim/tse/Uand foundאֶת־עַשְׁתֵּי־הֶעָשָׂרet-ash/TE-he/a/SARthe elevenוְאֶת־אֲשֶׁרve/ET-a/SHERand those who wereאִתָּםit/TAMwith themוְהֵםve/HEMand theyנִקְהָלִיםnik/ha/LIMwere gatheredיָחַד׃YA/chadtogether

    And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,

34. 34

    וְאֹמְרִיםve/om/RIMand sayingאָכֵןa/KHENsurelyקָםkamhas risenהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe Lordוְנִרְאָהve/nir/Aand appearedאֶל־שִׁמְעוֹן׃el-Shim/ONto Simon

    Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.

35. 35

    וַיְסַפְּרוּvay/SAP/pe/ruand they recountedגַּם־הֵםgam-hemthey alsoאֵת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhatקָרָםka/RAMhappened to themבַּדָּרֶךְbad/DA/rekhon the roadוְאֵתve/ETandאֲשֶׁרa/SHERhowהִכִּירֻהוּhik/ki/RU/huthey recognized himבִּבְצִיעַתbiv/tsi/ATin the breaking ofהַלָּחֶם׃hal/LA/chemthe bread

    And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread.

    עוֹדָםo/DAMwhile they were stillמְדַבְּרִיםme/dab/be/RIMspeakingכַּדְּבָרִיםkad/de/va/RIMlike the wordsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseוְיֵשׁוּעַVe/ye/SHU/aJesusעַצְמוֹats/MOhimselfעָמַדa/MADstoodבְּתוֹכָםbe/to/KHAMin the midst of themוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMpeaceלָכֶם׃la/KHEMto you

    And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

37. 37

    וְהֵמָּהve/HEM/maand theyחַתּוּCHAT/tuwere terrifiedוְנִבְעָתוּve/niv/a/TUand were frightenedוַיַּחְשְׁבוּvay/yach/she/VUand thoughtכִּי־רוּחַki-RU/achthat a spiritהֵםhemtheyרֹאִים׃ro/IMwere seeing

    But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.

38. 38

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themמַה־לָּכֶםma-la/KHEMwhat is with youכִּיkithatתִבָּהֵלוּtib/ba/he/LUyou are troubledוְלָמָּהve/LAM/maand whyתַעֲלֶינָהta/a/LE/nado riseמַחֲשָׁבוֹתma/cha/sha/VOTthoughtsבִּלְבַבְכֶם׃bil/vav/KHEMin your hearts

    And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?

39. 39

    Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

40. 40

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenדִּבֶּרdib/BERhe had spokenאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe wordsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseהֶרְאָהher/Ahe showedאֹתָםo/TAMthemאֵת־יָדָיוet-ya/DAYVhis handsוְאֵתve/ETandרַגְלָיו׃rag/LAYVhis feet

    And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.

41. 41

    וְהֵםve/HEMand while theyעוֹדodstillלֹאlonotהֶאֱמִינוּhe/e/MI/nubelievedמִשִּׂמְחָהmis/sim/CHAfrom joyוַיִּתְמָהוּvay/yit/MA/huand marveledוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themהֲיֵשׁ־לָכֶםha/YESH-la/KHEMdo you haveפֹּהpohereאֹכֶל׃O/khelfood

    And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?

42. 42

    וַיִּתְּנוּvay/yit/te/NUand they gaveלוֹlohimחֲתִיכַתcha/ti/KHATa piece ofדָּגdagfishצָלוּיtsa/LUYbroiledוּמְעַטu/me/ATand a littleצוּףtsufof a comb ofדְּבָשׁ׃de/VASHhoney

    And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.

43. 43

    וַיִּקַּחvay/yik/KACHand he tookוַיֹּאכַלvay/YO/khaland ateלְעֵינֵיהֶם׃le/e/ne/HEMbefore them

    And he took it, and did eat before them.

44. 44

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themאֵלֶּהEL/letheseהֵםhemareהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe wordsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI spokeאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMto youבְּעוֹדbe/ODwhileהֱיוֹתִיhe/yo/TII wasעִמָּכֶםim/ma/KHEMwith youכִּיkithatהִמָּלֵאhim/ma/LEbe fulfilledיִמָּלֵאyim/MA/lewill be fulfilledכׇּל־הַכָּתוּבkol-hak/ka/TUVall that is writtenעָלַיa/LAYconcerning meבְּתוֹרַתbe/to/RATin the law ofמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesוּבַנְּבִיאִיםu/van/ne/vi/IMand in the prophetsוּבַתְּהִלִּים׃u/Vat/te/hil/LIMand in the Psalms

    And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

45. 45

    אָזazthenפָּתַחpa/TACHhe openedאֶת־לִבָּםet-lib/BAMtheir heartלְהָבִיןle/ha/VINto understandאֶת־הַכְּתוּבִים׃et-hak/ke/tu/VIMthe scriptures

    Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

46. 46

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themכֵּןkenthusכָּתוּבka/TUVwrittenוְכֵןve/KHENand soנִגְזָרnig/ZARit was decreedאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיְעֻנֶּהye/un/NEwould sufferהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahוְיָקוּםve/ya/KUMand would riseמִן־הַמֵּתִיםmin-ham/me/TIMfrom the deadבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMon the dayהַשְּׁלִישִׁי׃hash/she/li/SHIthird

    And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

47. 47

    וַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand thatתִּקָּרֵאtik/ka/REwould be proclaimedבִשְׁמוֹvish/MOin his nameתְּשׁוּבָהte/shu/VArepentanceוּסְלִיחַתu/se/li/CHATand the forgiveness ofהַחֲטָאִיםha/cha/ta/IMsinsבְּכׇל־הַגּוֹיִםbe/KHOL-hag/go/YIMamong all the nationsהָחֵלha/CHELbeginningמִירוּשָׁלָיִם׃mI/ru/sha/LA/yimfrom Jerusalem

    And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

48. 48

    וְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMand youעֵדֵיe/DEare witnesses ofהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּה׃ha/EL/lethese

    And ye are witnesses of these things.

49. 49

    וְהִנְנִיve/hin/NIand behold Iשׁוֹלֵחַsho/LE/acham sendingלָכֶםla/KHEMto youאֵת־הַבְטָחַתet-hav/ta/CHATthe promise ofאָבִיA/VImy Fatherוְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMand youשְׁבוּshe/VUstayבָּעִירba/IRin the city ofיְרוּשָׁלַיִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemעַדaduntilכִּי־תִלְבְּשׁוּki-til/be/SHUyou are clothed withכֹּחַKO/achpowerמִמָּרוֹם׃mim/ma/ROMfrom on high

    And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

50. 50

    וַיּוֹצִיאֵםvay/yo/tsi/EMand he brought them outעַד־בֵּית־הִינִיad-Bet-hi/NIas far as Bethanyוַיִּשָּׂאvay/yis/SAand he liftedאֶת־יָדָיוet-ya/DAYVhis handsוַיְבָרֲכֵם׃vay/va/ra/KHEMand blessed them

    And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.

51. 51

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passבְּבָרֲכוֹbe/va/ra/KHOas he blessedאֹתָםo/TAMthemוַיִּפָּרֵדvay/yip/pa/REDand he partedמֵעֲלֵיהֶםme/a/le/HEMfrom themוַיִּנָּשֵׂאvay/yin/na/SEand he was carried upהַשָּׁמָיְמָה׃hash/sha/MAY/mainto heaven

    And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.

52. 52

    וְהֵםve/HEMand theyהִשְׁתַּחֲווּ־לוֹhish/ta/cha/VU-lobowed down to himוַיָּשׁוּבוּvay/ya/SHU/vuand they returnedלִירוּשָׁלַיִםlI/ru/sha/LA/yimto Jerusalemבְּשִׂמְחָהbe/sim/CHAwith joyגְדוֹלָה׃ge/do/LAgreat

    And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:

53. 53

    וַיִּהְיוּvay/yih/YUand they wereתָמִידta/MIDalwaysבַּמִּקְדָּשׁbam/mik/DASHin the templeמְהַלֲלִיםme/ha/la/LIMpraisingוּמְבָרֲכִיםu/me/va/ra/KHIMand blessingאֶת־הָאֱלֹהִיםet-ha/e/lo/HIMGodאָמֵן׃a/MENamen

    And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
