1. 1

   וַיַּבֵּטvay/yab/BETand he lookedוַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawאֶת־הָעֲשִׁירִיםet-ha/a/shi/RIMthe richמְשִׂימִיםme/si/MIMputtingאֶת־נִדְבוֹתָםet-nid/vo/TAMtheir giftsבַּאֲרוֹןba/a/RONinto the chest ofהָאוֹצָר׃ha/o/TSARthe treasury

   And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.

2. 2

   וַיַּרְאvay/YARand he sawגַּם־אַלְמָנָהgam-al/ma/NAalso a widowעֲנִיָּהa/niy/YApoorנֹתֶנֶתno/TE/netputtingבּוֹboin itשְׁתֵּיshtetwoפְרוּטוֹת׃fe/ru/TOTmites

   And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.

   וַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand he saidאֱמֶתe/METtrulyאַגִּידag/GIDI tellלָכֶםla/KHEMto youכִּיkithatהָאַלְמָנָהha/al/ma/NAthe widowהָעֲנִיָּהha/a/niy/YApoorהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisנָתְנָהna/te/NAhas givenיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreמִכֻּלָּם׃mik/kul/LAMthan they all

   And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all:

   כִּיkiforכׇל־אֵלֶּהkhol-EL/leall theseהִתְנַדְּבוּhit/nad/de/VUgave freelyלֵאלֹהִיםle/lo/HIMto Godמִיִּתְרָםmiy/yit/RAMof their abundanceוְהִיאve/HIand sheמִמַּחְסוֹרָהּmim/mach/so/RAfrom her wantנָתְנָהna/te/NAhas givenאֶת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁרet-kol-a/SHERall thatהָיָהha/YAwasלָהּlahersלְמִחְיָה׃le/mich/YAfor living

   For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passבְּאׇמְרָםbe/om/RAMas they spokeלַמִּקְדָּשׁlam/mik/DASHof the templeשֶׁהוּאshe/HUthat itמְהֻדָּרme/hud/DARwas adornedבַּאֲבָנִיםba/a/va/NIMwith stonesיָפוֹתya/FOTbeautifulוּבְמַתָּנוֹתu/ve/mat/ta/NOTand with giftsוַיֹּאמַר׃vay/yo/MARand he said

   And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said,

   אֵת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhatאַתֶּםat/TEMyouרֹאִיםro/IMseeהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdיָמִיםya/MIMdaysבָּאִיםba/IMare comingוְלֹאve/LOand notתִשָּׁאֵרtish/sha/ERwill be leftאֶבֶןE/vena stoneעַל־אֶבֶןal-E/venon a stoneאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹאlonotתִתְפָּרָק׃tit/pa/RAKwill be torn down

   As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

   וַיִּשְׁאָלֻהוּvay/yish/a/lu/HUand they asked himלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingרַבִּיrab/BIrabbiמָתַיma/TAYwhenאֵפוֹאe/FOthenתִּהְיֶהtih/YEwill beזֹּאתzotthisוּמַהu/MAand whatהוּאhuisהָאוֹתha/OTthe signלְעֵתle/ETfor the time ofהֱיוֹתָהּ׃he/yo/TAits being

   And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?

8. 8

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidרְאוּre/Useeפֶּן־יַתְעוּpen-yat/Ulest lead astrayאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouכִּיkiforרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyיָבֹאוּya/VO/uwill comeבִּשְׁמִיbish/MIin my nameוְאָמְרוּve/a/me/RUand will sayאֲנִיa/NIIהוּאhuam heהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahוְהָעֵתve/ha/ETand the timeקְרוֹבָהke/ro/VAis nearוְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMand youאַל־תֵּלְכוּal-tel/KHUdo not goאַחֲרֵיהֶם׃a/cha/re/HEMafter them

   And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.

9. 9

   וּבְשָׁמְעֲכֶםu/ve/sha/me/a/KHEMand when you hearמִלְחָמוֹתmil/cha/MOTwarsוּמְהוּמוֹתu/me/hu/MOTand tumultsאַל־תֵּחָתּוּal-te/CHAT/tudo not be dismayedכִּיkiforהָיוֹha/YObeתִהְיֶה־זֹּאתtih/YE-zotthis will beלָרִאשׁוֹנָהla/ri/sho/NAfirstאַךְ־עוֹדakh-odbut not yetקֵץketsthe endלַמּוֹעֵד׃lam/mo/EDat once

   But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.

10. 10

    וַיֹּסֶףvay/YO/sefand he continuedדַּבֵּרdab/BERto speakאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingגּוֹיgoynationעַל־גּוֹיal-goyagainst nationיָקוּםya/KUMwill riseוּמַמְלָכָהu/mam/la/KHAand kingdomעַל־מַמְלָכָה׃al-mam/la/KHAagainst kingdom

    Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:

11. 11

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand there will beרַעַשׁRA/ashan earthquakeגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatכֹּהkohereוָכֹהva/KHOand thereוְרָעָבve/ra/AVand famineוָדָבֶרva/DA/verand pestilenceוְגַם־מוֹרָאִיםve/GAM-mo/ra/IMand also terrorsוְאֹתוֹתve/o/TOTand signsגְּדֹלוֹתge/do/LOTgreatמִן־הַשָּׁמָיִם׃min-hash/sha/MA/yimfrom heaven

    And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

12. 12

    וְלִפְנֵיve/lif/NEand beforeכׇל־אֵלֶּהkhol-EL/leall theseיִשְׁלְחוּyish/le/CHUthey will sendבָכֶםva/KHEMon youאֶת־יְדֵיהֶםet-ye/de/HEMtheir handsוְיִרְדְּפוּve/yir/de/FUand they will pursueוְיִמְסְרוּve/yim/se/RUand they will deliverאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouלְבָתֵּיle/vat/TEto the houses ofכְנֵסֶתkhe/NE/setassemblyוְאֶל־בָּתֵּיve/EL-bat/TEand into the houses ofכְלָאִיםkhe/la/IMconfinementוְתוּבְאוּve/tuv/Uand you will be broughtלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeמְלָכִיםme/la/KHIMkingsוּנְגִידִיםu/ne/gi/DIMand rulersלְמַעַןle/MA/anfor the sake ofשְׁמִי׃she/MImy name

    But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.

13. 13

    וְהָיְתָה־זֹּאתve/ha/ye/TA-zotand this will beלָכֶםla/KHEMto youלְעֵדוּת׃le/e/DUTfor a testimony

    And it shall turn to you for a testimony.

14. 14

    עַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeשִׂימוּSI/musetבְלִבְּכֶםve/lib/be/KHEMin your heartsלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TInotהֱיוֹתhe/YOTto beדֹּאֲגִיםdo/a/GIManxiousמֵרֹאשׁme/ROSHbeforehandבַּמֶּהbam/MEwith whatתִּצְטַדָּקוּ׃tits/tad/da/KUyou will defend yourselves

    Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:

15. 15

    כִּיkiforאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIנֹתֵןno/TENgiveלָכֶםla/KHEMto youפֶּהpea mouthוְחׇכְמָהve/chokh/MAand wisdomאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹא־יוּכְלוּlo-yukh/LUwill not be ableלַעֲמֹדla/a/MODto standלְפָנֶיהָle/fa/NE/habefore itוּלְדַבֵּרu/le/dab/BERand to speakנֶגְדָּהּneg/DAagainst itכׇּל־מִתְקוֹמֲמֵיכֶם׃kol-mit/ko/ma/me/KHEMall who rise against you

    For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

16. 16

    וְגַם־תִּמָּסְרוּve/GAM-tim/ma/se/RUand also you will be deliveredעַל־יְדֵיal-ye/DEbyיוֹלְדֵיכֶםyol/de/KHEMyour parentsוַאֲחֵיכֶםva/a/che/KHEMand brothersוּקְרוֹבֵיכֶםu/ke/ro/ve/KHEMand your relativesוְרֵעֵיכֶםve/re/e/KHEMand your friendsוְיָמִיתוּve/ya/mi/TUand they will killמִכֶּם׃mik/KEMof you

    And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.

17. 17

    וִהְיִיתֶםvih/yi/TEMand you shall beשְׂנוּאִיםse/nu/IMhatedלְכׇל־אָדָםle/KHOL-a/DAMby all menלְמַעַןle/MA/anfor the sake ofשְׁמִי׃she/MImy name

    And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.

18. 18

    אַךְakhbutלֹא־יִפֹּלlo-yip/POLwill not fallמִשַּׂעֲרַתmis/sa/a/RATa hair ofרֹאשְׁכֶםro/she/KHEMyour headאָרְצָה׃AR/tsato the ground

    But there shall not an hair of your head perish.

19. 19

    בְּאֹרֶךְbe/O/rekhin the length ofרוּחֲכֶםru/cha/KHEMyour spiritקְנוּke/NUacquireלָכֶםla/KHEMfor yourselvesאֵת־נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶם׃et-naf/sho/te/KHEMyour souls

    In your patience possess ye your souls.

20. 20

    וְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERand whenתִּרְאוּtir/Uyou seeמַחֲנוֹתma/cha/NOTarmiesסוֹבֲבִיםso/va/VIMsurroundingאֶת־יְרוּשָׁלָיִםet-Ye/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemיָדֹעַya/DO/aknowתֵּדְעוּted/Uyou will knowכִּיkithatקָרַבka/RAVhas drawn nearחָרְבָּנָהּ׃chor/ba/NAits destruction

    And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

21. 21

    אָזazthenיָנוּסוּya/NU/sulet them fleeאַנְשֵׁיan/SHEthe men ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudaeaאֶל־הֶהָרִיםel-he/ha/RIMto the mountainsוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand those whoהֵםhemareבְּתוֹכָהּbe/to/KHAin its midstיֵצְאוּyets/Ulet them go outוַאֲשֶׁר־בַּפְּרָזוֹתva/a/SHER-bap/pe/ra/ZOTand those in the open countryאַל־יָבוֹאוּal-ya/VO/ulet them not enterבָהּ׃vainto it

    Then let them which are in Judæa flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.

22. 22

    כִּי־יְמֵיki-ye/MEfor the days ofנָקָםna/KAMvengeanceהֵמָּהHEM/mathey areלְמַלֹּאתle/mal/LOTto fulfillכׇּל־הַכָּתוּב׃kol-hak/ka/TUVall that is written

    For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

23. 23

    וְאוֹיve/OYand woeלֶהָרוֹתle/ha/ROTto the pregnantוְלַמֵּינִיקוֹתve/lam/me/ni/KOTand to the nursingבַּיָּמִיםbay/ya/MIMin the daysהָהֵםha/HEMthoseכִּיkiforתִהְיֶהtih/YEthere shall beצָרָהtsa/RAdistressגְדוֹלָהge/do/LAgreatבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the landוְקֶצֶףve/KE/tsefand wrathעַל־הָעָםal-ha/AMon the peopleהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.

24. 24

    וְנָפְלוּve/na/fe/LUand they will fallלְפִי־חֶרֶבle/FI-CHE/revby the edge of the swordוְהָגְלוּve/ha/ge/LUand they will be exiledאֶל־כׇּל־הַגּוֹיִםel-kol-hag/go/YIMinto all nationsוְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand will beיְרוּשָׁלַיִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemמִרְמָסmir/MAStrampledלַגּוֹיִםlag/Go/YIMby the Gentilesעַדaduntilאֲשֶׁר־יִמְלְאוּa/SHER-yim/le/Uthat are fulfilledעִתּוֹתit/TOTthe times ofהַגּוֹיִם׃hag/Go/YIMthe Gentiles

    And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

25. 25

    וְהָיוּve/ha/YUand there will beאֹתוֹתo/TOTsignsבַּשֶּׁמֶשׁbash/SHE/meshin the sunוּבַיָּרֵחַu/vay/ya/RE/achand in the moonוּבַכּוֹכָבִיםu/vak/ko/kha/VIMand in the starsוְעַל־הָאָרֶץve/AL-ha/A/retsand on the earthמְצוּקָהme/tsu/KAdistressלַגּוֹיִםlag/go/YIMto the nationsוּמְבוּכָהu/me/vu/KHAand perplexityמֵהֶמְיַתme/hem/YATfrom the roaring ofהַיָּםhay/YAMthe seaוּמִשְׁבָּרָיו׃u/mish/ba/RAYVand its breakers

    And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

26. 26

    וְיִמּוֹגוּve/yim/mo/GUand will meltבְנֵי־הָאָדָםve/NE-ha/a/DAMthe sons of menמֵאֵימָהme/e/MAfrom terrorוּמֵחֶרְדַּתu/me/cher/DATand from trembling atהַבָּאוֹתhab/ba/OTthe things comingעַל־כׇּל־הָאָרֶץal-kol-ha/A/retson all the earthכִּי־חֲיָלֵיki-cha/ya/LEfor the powers ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimheavenיִתְמוֹטָטוּ׃yit/mo/ta/TUwill be shaken

    Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

27. 27

    וְאָזve/AZand thenיִרְאוּyir/Uthey will seeאֶת־בֶּן־הָאָדָםet-Ben-ha/a/DAMthe Son of manבָּאbacomingבֶעָנָןve/a/NANin the cloudבִּגְבוּרָהbig/vu/RAwith powerוּבְכָבוֹדu/ve/kha/VODand gloryרָב׃ravgreat

    And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

28. 28

    וּכְהָחֵלu/khe/ha/CHELand when beginהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseלָבוֹאla/VOto comeהִתְעוֹדֲדוּhit/o/da/DUtake courageוּשְׂאוּu/se/Uand liftרָאשֵׁיכֶםra/she/KHEMyour headsכִּי־קָרְבָהki-ka/re/VAfor has drawn nearגְאֻלַּתְכֶם׃ge/ul/lat/KHEMyour redemption

    And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

29. 29

    וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand he spokeאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themבְּמָשָׁלbe/ma/SHALin a parableלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingרְאוּre/Useeאֶת־הַתְּאֵנָהet-hat/te/e/NAthe fig treeוְאֵתve/ETandכׇּל־הָעֵצִים׃kol-ha/e/TSIMall the trees

    And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;

30. 30

    כִּי־תִרְאוּki-tir/Uwhen you seeאֹתָםo/TAMthemמוֹצִיאִיםmo/tsi/IMputting forthאֶת־פִּרְחָםet-pir/CHAMtheir budsהֲלֹאha/LOdo notיְדַעְתֶּםye/da/TEMyou knowכִּיkithatקָרַבka/RAVis nearהַקָּיִץ׃hak/KA/yitsthe summer

    When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.

31. 31

    כֵּןkensoגַּם־אַתֶּםgam-at/TEMyou alsoבִּהְיוֹתbih/YOTwhen areאֵלֶּהEL/letheseלְנֶגְדְּכֶםle/neg/de/KHEMbefore youדְּעוּde/Uknowכִּיkithatקְרוֹבָהke/ro/VAis nearמַלְכוּתmal/KHUTthe kingdom ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

    So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.

32. 32

    אָמֵןa/MENamenאֹמֵרo/MERsayאֲנִיa/NIIלָכֶםla/KHEMto youלֹאlonotיַעֲבֹרya/a/VORwill pass awayהַדּוֹרhad/DORthe generationהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisעַדaduntilכִּי־יִהְיוּki-yih/YUhave come to passכׇּל־אֵלֶּה׃kol-EL/leall these

    Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.

33. 33

    הַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensוְהָאָרֶץve/ha/A/retsand the earthיַעֲבֹרוּya/a/VO/ruwill pass awayוּדְבָרַיu/de/va/RAYand my wordsלֹאlonotיַעֲבֹרוּן׃ya/a/vo/RUNwill pass away

    Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

34. 34

    רַקrakonlyהִשָּׁמְרוּhish/sha/me/RUtake heedלָכֶםla/KHEMto yourselvesפֶּן־יִכְבַּדpen-yikh/BADlest be weighed downלְבַבְכֶםle/vav/KHEMyour heartsבְּמִשְׁתֶּהbe/mish/TEwith feastingוּבְשִׁכָּרוֹןu/ve/shik/ka/RONand with drunkennessוּבְדַאֲגוֹתu/ve/da/a/GOTand with the cares ofהַמִּחְיָהham/mich/YAlivingוּבָאu/VAand comeעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMupon youהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayהַהוּאha/HUthatפִּתְאֹם׃pit/OMsuddenly

    And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

35. 35

    כִּיkiforכְּמוֹ־פַחke/MO-fachlike a trapיָבוֹאya/VOit will comeעַלalonכׇּל־הַיֹּשְׁבִיםkol-hay/yosh/VIMall who dwellעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEon the face ofכׇל־הָאָרֶץ׃khol-ha/A/retsthe whole earth

    For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

36. 36

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeשִׁקְדוּshik/DUkeep watchבְּכׇל־עֵתbe/KHOL-etat all timesוְהִתְפַּלָּלוּve/hit/pal/la/LUand prayלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatתִּזְכּוּtiz/KUyou may be accounted worthyלְהִמָּלֵטle/him/ma/LETto escapeמִכׇּל־אֵלֶּהmik/KOL-EL/lefrom all theseהָעֲתִידוֹתha/a/ti/DOTthat are aboutלָבוֹאla/VOto comeוְהִתְיַצַּבְתֶּםve/hit/yats/tsav/TEMand to standלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeבֶן־הָאָדָם׃ven-Ha/a/DAMthe Son of man

    Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

37. 37

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand he wasמְלַמֵּדme/lam/MEDteachingיוֹמָםyo/MAMby dayבַּמִּקְדָּשׁbam/mik/DASHin the templeוּבַלַּיְלָהu/val/LAY/laand by nightיָצָאya/TSAhe went outאֶל־הָהָרel-ha/HARto the mountהוּאhuwhich isהַרharthe mount ofהַזֵּיתִיםHaz/ze/TIMOlivesלָלוּן׃la/LUNto lodge

    And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives.

38. 38

    וְכׇל־הָעָםve/KHOL-ha/AMand all the peopleהִשְׁכִּימוּhish/KI/murose earlyלָבוֹאla/VOto comeאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himבַּמִּקְדָּשׁbam/mik/DASHin the templeלִשְׁמֹעַlish/MO/ato hearאוֹתוֹ׃o/TOhim

    And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him.
