   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passהַיּוֹםhay/YOMon one of the daysוְהוּאve/HUand heמְלַמֵּדme/lam/MEDwas teachingאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMthe peopleבַּמִּקְדָּשׁbam/mik/DASHin the templeוּמְבַשֵּׂרu/me/vas/SERand proclaiming good newsוַיִּגְּשׁוּvay/yig/ge/SHUand came nearרָאשֵׁיra/SHEthe chiefs ofהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsוְהַסּוֹפְרִיםve/has/sof/RIMand the scribesעִם־הַזְּקֵנִים׃im-haz/ze/ke/NIMwith the elders

   And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as he taught the people in the temple, and preached the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes came upon him with the elders,

   And spake unto him, saying, Tell us, by what authority doest thou these things? or who is he that gave thee this authority?

   וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand he answeredוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themאַף־אֲנִיaf-a/NII alsoאֶשְׁאָלְכֶםesh/a/le/KHEMwill ask youדָּבָרda/VARa thingאֶחָדe/CHADoneוְאִמְרוּve/im/RUand tellלִי׃lime

   And he answered and said unto them, I will also ask you one thing; and answer me:

   טְבִילַתte/vi/LATthe baptism ofיוֹחָנָןYo/cha/NANJohnהֲמִשָּׁמַיִםha/mish/sha/MA/yimfrom heavenהָיָתָהha/YA/tawas itאִם־מִבְּנֵיim-mib/be/NEor from the sons ofאָדָם׃a/DAMman

   The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men?

   וַיִּוָּעֲצוּvay/yiv/va/a/TSUand they consultedיַחְדָּוyach/DAVtogetherלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingאִם־נֹאמַרim-no/MARif we sayמִן־הַשָּׁמַיִםmin-hash/sha/MA/yimfrom heavenוְאָמַרve/a/MARhe will sayלָמָּהLAM/mawhyזֶּהzethisלֹאlonotהֶאֱמַנְתֶּםhe/e/man/TEMdid you believeלוֹ׃lohim

   And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then believed ye him not?

   וְאִם־נֹאמַרve/IM-no/MARand if we sayמִבְּנֵיmib/be/NEfrom the sons ofאָדָםa/DAMmanוּסְקָלֻנוּu/se/ka/lu/NUand will stone usכׇּל־הָעָםkol-ha/AMall the peopleכִּי־בָרוּרki-va/RURfor it is clearלָהֶםla/HEMto themשֶׁיּוֹחָנָןshey/Yo/cha/NANthat Johnנָבִיאna/VIa prophetהָיָה׃ha/YAwas

   But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a prophet.

   וַיַּעֲנוּvay/ya/a/NUand they answeredלֹאlonotיָדַעְנוּya/DA/nuwe knowמֵאָיִן׃me/A/yinfrom where

   And they answered, that they could not tell whence it was.

8. 8

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themגַּם־אֲנִיgam-a/NII alsoלֹאlonotאֹמַרo/MARwill tellלָכֶםla/KHEMto youבְּאֵי־זוֹbe/E-zoby whatרְשׁוּתre/SHUTauthorityאֲנִיa/NIIעֹשֶׂהo/SEam doingאֵלֶּה׃EL/lethese

   And Jesus said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.

   וַיָּחֶלvay/YA/cheland he beganלְדַבֵּרle/dab/BERto speakאֶל־הָעָםel-ha/AMto the peopleאֶת־הַמָּשָׁלet-ham/ma/SHALthe parableהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאִישׁisha manאֶחָדe/CHADoneנָטַעna/TAplantedכֶּרֶםKE/rema vineyardוַיִּתְּנֵהוּvay/yit/te/NE/huand he gave itבְּיַדbe/YADinto the hand ofכֹּרְמִיםkor/MIMvinedressersוַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand he wentבְּדֶרֶךְbe/DE/rekhon a journeyמֵרָחוֹקme/ra/CHOKfar offלְיָמִיםle/ya/MIMfor daysרַבִּים׃rab/BIMmany

   Then began he to speak to the people this parable; A certain man planted a vineyard, and let it forth to husbandmen, and went into a far country for a long time.

    וְלַמּוֹעֵדve/lam/mo/EDand at the seasonשָׁלַחsha/LACHhe sentעֶבֶדE/veda servantאֶל־הַכֹּרְמִיםel-hak/kor/MIMto the vinedressersלָתֶת־לוֹLA/tet-loto give himמִפְּרִיmip/pe/RIof the fruit ofהַכָּרֶםhak/KA/remthe vineyardוְהַכֹּרְמִיםve/hak/kor/MIMand the vinedressersהִכֻּהוּhik/KU/hustruck himוַיְשַׁלְּחֻהוּvay/shal/le/chu/HUand sent him awayרֵיקָם׃re/KAMempty

    And at the season he sent a servant to the husbandmen, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty.

    וַיֹּסֶףvay/YO/sefand he againשְׁלֹחַshe/LO/achsentעֶבֶדE/veda servantאַחֵרa/CHERanotherוַיַּכּוּvay/yak/KUand they struckגַם־אֹתוֹgam-o/TOhim alsoוַיִּבְזֻהוּvay/yiv/ZU/huand they despised himוַיְשַׁלְּחֻהוּvay/shal/le/chu/HUand sent him awayרֵיקָם׃re/KAMempty

    And again he sent another servant: and they beat him also, and entreated him shamefully, and sent him away empty.

    וַיֹּסֶףvay/YO/sefand againלִשְׁלֹחַlish/LO/achto sendשְׁלִישִׁיshe/li/SHIa thirdוְגַם־אֹתוֹve/GAM-o/TOand him alsoפָצְעוּfa/tse/Uthey woundedוַיְגָרֲשֻׁהוּvay/ga/ra/shu/HUand they drove himוַיִּדְחָפֻהוּvay/yid/cha/fu/HUand they pushed himחוּצָה׃CHU/tsaoutside

    And again he sent a third: and they wounded him also, and cast him out.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidבַּעַל־הַכֶּרֶםBA/al-hak/KE/remthe owner of the vineyardמָה־אֶעֱשֶׂהma-e/e/SEwhat shall I doאֶשְׁלְחָהesh/le/CHAI will sendאֶת־בְּנִיet-be/NImy sonאֶת־יְדִידִיet-ye/di/DImy belovedאוּלַיu/LAYperhapsיִרְאוּyir/Uthey will seeאֹתוֹo/TOhimוְיִירְאוּve/yi/re/Uand they will fearמִפָּנָיו׃mip/pa/NAYVbefore him

    Then said the lord of the vineyard, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: it may be they will reverence him when they see him.

14. 14

    וְכִרְאוֹתve/khir/OTand when sawאֹתוֹo/TOhimהַכֹּרְמִיםhak/kor/MIMthe vinedressersנוֹעֲצוּno/a/TSUthey consultedיַחְדָּוyach/DAVtogetherלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingזֶהzethisהוּאhuisהַיּוֹרֵשׁhay/yo/RESHthe heirלְכוּle/KHUcomeוְנַהַרְגֵהוּve/na/har/GE/hulet us kill himוּתְהִי־לָנוּu/te/HI-LA/nuand will be oursהַיְרֻשָּׁה׃hay/rush/SHAthe inheritance

    But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir: come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.

15. 15

    וַיְגָרֲשׁוּvay/ga/ra/SHUand they droveאוֹתוֹo/TOhimאֶל־מִחוּץel-mi/CHUTSoutsideלַכֶּרֶםlak/KE/remthe vineyardוַיַּהַרְגֻהוּvay/ya/har/GU/huand killed himוְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowמַה־יַּעֲשֶׂהma-ya/a/SEwhat will doלָהֶםla/HEMto themבַּעַל־הַכָּרֶם׃BA/al-hak/KA/remthe owner of the vineyard

    So they cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore shall the lord of the vineyard do unto them?

16. 16

    יָבוֹאya/VOhe will comeוִיאַבֵּדvi/ab/BEDand destroyאֶת־הַכֹּרְמִיםet-hak/kor/MIMthe vinedressersהָהֵםha/HEMtheseוְיִתֵּןve/yit/TENand will giveאֶת־הַכֶּרֶםet-hak/KE/remthe vineyardלַאֲחֵרִיםla/a/che/RIMto othersוַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכְּשׇׁמְעָםke/shom/AMwhen they heardוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidחָלִילָה׃cha/LI/lafar be it

    He shall come and destroy these husbandmen, and shall give the vineyard to others. And when they heard it, they said, God forbid.

17. 17

    וַיַּבֵּט־בָּםvay/yab/BET-bamand he looked at themוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidוּמָהu/MAand whatהוּאhuisזֶהzethisהַכָּתוּבhak/ka/TUVthe written wordאֶבֶןE/vena stoneמָאֲסוּma/a/SUrejectedהַבּוֹנִיםhab/bo/NIMthe buildersהָיְתָהha/ye/TAhas becomeלְרֹאשׁle/ROSHthe head ofפִּנָּה׃pin/NAthe corner

    And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner?

18. 18

    כֹּלkolallהַנֹּפֵלhan/no/FELwho fallעַל־הָאֶבֶןal-ha/E/venon the stoneהַהִיאha/HIthatיִשָּׁבֵרyish/sha/VERwill be brokenוְאֵתve/ETandאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomתִּפֹּלtip/POLit fallsעָלָיוa/LAYVon himתִּשְׁחָקֵהוּ׃tish/cha/ke/HUit will crush him

    Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

19. 19

    וַיְבַקְשׁוּvay/vak/SHUand soughtרָאשֵׁיra/SHEthe chiefs ofהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsוְהַסּוֹפְרִיםve/has/sof/RIMand the scribesלִשְׁלֹחַ־יָדָםlish/LO/ach-ya/DAMto send their handבּוֹboon himבָּעֵתba/ETat the timeהַהִיאha/HIthatוַיִּירְאוּvay/yi/re/Uand they fearedמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofהָעָםha/AMthe peopleכִּיkiforיָדְעוּya/de/Uthey knewאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMagainst themדִּבֶּרdib/BERhe had spokenאֶת־הַמָּשָׁלet-ham/ma/SHALthe parableהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    And the chief priests and the scribes the same hour sought to lay hands on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them.

20. 20

    וַיֶּאֶרְבוּ־לוֹvay/ye/er/VU-loand they lay in wait for himוַיִּשְׁלְחוּvay/yish/le/CHUand they sentמְאָרֲבִיםme/a/ra/VIMambushersמִתְחַפְּשִׂיםmit/chap/pe/SIMdisguising themselvesכְּהֹלְכֵיke/hol/KHEas walkers inתֹםtomintegrityלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatיִלְכְּדוּyil/ke/DUthey might catchאוֹתוֹo/TOhimבְּדָבָרbe/da/VARin a wordלְהַסְגִּירוֹle/has/gi/ROto hand him overאֶל־הַשְּׂרָרָהel-has/se/ra/RAto the ruleוּבְיַדu/ve/YADand into the hand ofהַהֶגְמוֹן׃ha/heg/MONthe governor

    And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words, that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor.

21. 21

    וַיִּשְׁאָלֻהוּvay/yish/a/lu/HUand they asked himלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingרַבִּיrab/BIrabbiיָדַעְנוּya/DA/nuwe knowכִּיkithatנְכוֹנָהne/kho/NArightlyתְּדַבֵּרte/dab/BERyou speakוּתְלַמֵּדu/te/lam/MEDand teachוְלֹא־תִשָּׂאve/LO-tis/SAand you do not liftפָנִיםfa/NIMfaceכִּיkibutבֶאֱמֶתve/e/METin truthמוֹרֶהmo/REteachאַתָּהat/TAyouאֶת־דֶּרֶךְet-DE/rekhthe way ofאֱלֹהִים׃e/lo/HIMGod

    And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayest and teachest rightly, neither acceptest thou the person of any, but teachest the way of God truly:

22. 22

    הֲמֻתָּרha/mut/TARis it lawfulלָנוּLA/nufor usלָתֶת־מַסLA/tet-masto give taxלְקֵיסָרle/Ke/SARto Caesarאִם־לֹא׃im-loor not

    Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Cæsar, or no?

23. 23

    וַיֵּדַעvay/YE/daand he knewאֶת־נִכְלֵיהֶםet-nikh/le/HEMtheir craftinessוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלָהֶםla/HEMto themמַה־תְּנַסּוּנִי׃ma-te/nas/su/NIwhy do you test me

    But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me?

24. 24

    הַרְאוּנִיhar/u/NIshow meדִינָרdi/NARa denariusהַצּוּרָהhats/tsu/RAthe imageוְהַמִּכְתָּבve/ham/mikh/TAVand the inscriptionאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatעָלָיוa/LAYVon itשֶׁל־מִיshel-miwhoseהֵםhemare theyוַיַּעֲנוּvay/ya/a/NUthey answeredוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidשֶׁל־קֵיסָר׃Shel-ke/SARCaesar's

    Shew me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Cæsar's.

25. 25

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeתְּנוּte/NUgiveלְקֵיסַרle/Ke/SARto Caesarאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhatלְקֵיסָרle/Ke/SARis Caesar'sוְלֵאלֹהִיםve/le/lo/HIMand to Godאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhatלֵאלֹהִים׃le/lo/HIMis God's

    And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Cæsar the things which be Cæsar's, and unto God the things which be God's.

26. 26

    וְלֹאve/LOand notיָכְלוּya/khe/LUwere they ableלְלָכְדוֹle/la/khe/DOto catch himבְדָבָרve/da/VARin a wordלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהָעָםha/AMthe peopleוַיִּתְמְהוּvay/yit/me/HUand they marveledעַל־מַעֲנֵהוּal-ma/a/ne/HUat his answerוַיַּחֲרִישׁוּ׃vay/ya/cha/RI/shuand they were silent

    And they could not take hold of his words before the people: and they marvelled at his answer, and held their peace.

    וַיִּקְרְבוּvay/yik/re/VUand came nearאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenמִן־הַצַּדּוּקִיםmin-Hats/tsad/du/KIMof the Sadduceesהָאֹמְרִיםha/om/RIMwho sayאֵיןenthere is noתְּחִיַּתte/chiy/YATresurrectionהַמֵּתִיםham/me/TIMof the deadוַיִּשְׁאָלֻהוּ׃vay/yish/a/lu/HUand they asked him

    Then came to him certain of the Sadducees, which deny that there is any resurrection; and they asked him,

28. 28

    לֵאמֹרle/MORsayingמוֹרֶהmo/REteacherמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesכָּתַבka/TAVwroteלָנוּLA/nuto usכִּיkithat ifיָמוּתya/MUTdieאָחacha brotherבַּעַלBA/alhusband ofאִשָּׁהish/SHAa wifeוּבָנִיםu/va/NIMand childrenאֵין־לוֹen-lohe has noneוְלָקַחve/la/KACHthen shall takeאָחִיוa/CHIVhis brotherאֶת־אִשְׁתּוֹet-ish/TOhis wifeוְהֵקִיםve/he/KIMand raise upזֶרַעZE/raseedלְאָחִיו׃le/a/CHIVto his brother

    Saying, Master, Moses wrote unto us, If any man's brother die, having a wife, and he die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

29. 29

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdהָיוּha/YUthere wereשִׁבְעָהshiv/Asevenאַחִיםa/CHIMbrothersוְהָרִאשׁוֹןve/ha/ri/SHONand the firstלָקַחla/KACHtookאִשָּׁהish/SHAa wifeוַיָּמׇתvay/YA/motand he diedוּבָנִיםu/va/NIMand childrenאֵיןenthere were notלוֹ׃loto him

    There were therefore seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and died without children.

30. 30

    וַיִּקַּחvay/yik/KACHand tookאֹתָהּo/TAherהַשֵּׁנִיhash/she/NIthe secondוַיָּמׇתvay/YA/motand diedגַּם־הוּאgam-hualsoלֹא־בָנִים׃lo-va/NIMwithout children

    And the second took her to wife, and he died childless.

31. 31

    וַיִּקַּחvay/yik/KACHand tookאֹתָהּo/TAherהַשְּׁלִישִׁיhash/she/li/SHIthe thirdוְכַדָּבָרve/khad/da/VARand like the thingהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisעָשׂוּa/SUdidאַף־הַשִּׁבְעָהaf-hash/shiv/Athe seven alsoוְלֹא־הִנִּיחוּve/LO-hin/NI/chuand they did not leaveבָנִיםva/NIMchildrenוַיָּמוּתוּ׃vay/ya/MU/tuand they died

    And the third took her; and in like manner the seven also: and they left no children, and died.

32. 32

    וּבָאַחֲרוֹנָהu/va/a/cha/ro/NAand lastמֵתָהME/tadiedגַם־הָאִשָּׁה׃gam-ha/ish/SHAalso the woman

    Last of all the woman died also.

33. 33

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdבִּתְחִיַּתbit/chiy/YATin the resurrectionהַמֵּתִיםham/me/TIMof the deadלְמִיle/MIto whomמֵהֶםme/HEMof themתִּהְיֶהtih/YEwill she beלְאִשָּׁהle/ish/SHAfor a wifeכִּי־הָיְתָהki-ha/ye/TAfor she wasלַשִּׁבְעָהlash/shiv/Ato the sevenלְאִשָּׁה׃le/ish/SHAfor a wife

    Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them is she? for seven had her to wife.

    וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand answeredיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisיִשְׂאוּyis/Utakeנָשִׁיםna/SHIMwivesוְתִנָּשֶׂאנָה׃ve/tin/na/se/NAand are taken

    And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:

35. 35

    וְהַזֹּכִיםve/haz/zo/KHIMand those found worthyלָעוֹלָםla/o/LAMof the worldהַבָּאhab/BAto comeוְלִתְחִיַּתve/lit/chiy/YATand of the resurrection ofהַמֵּתִיםham/me/TIMfrom the deadלֹא־יִשְׂאוּlo-yis/Udo not takeנָשִׁיםna/SHIMwivesוְלֹאve/LOand notתִנָּשֶׂאנָה׃tin/na/se/NAare taken

    But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

36. 36

    כִּיkiforלֹא־יוּכְלוּlo-yukh/LUthey cannotלָמוּתla/MUTdieעוֹדodany moreכִּיkiforשָׁוִיםsha/VIMequalהֵםhemthey areלַמַּלְאָכִיםlam/mal/a/KHIMto the angelsוּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the children ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodהֵמָּהHEM/mathey areבִּהְיוֹתָםbih/yo/TAMbeingבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofהַתְּקוּמָה׃hat/te/ku/MAthe resurrection

    Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

37. 37

    וְגַם־מֹשֶׁהve/GAM-mo/SHEand also Mosesרָמַזra/MAZhintedבַּסְּנֶהbas/se/NEat the bushשֶׁיָּקוּמוּshey/ya/KU/muthat riseהַמֵּתִיםham/me/TIMthe deadבְּקׇרְאוֹbe/kor/Oin his callingאֶת־יְהוָֹהet-Adonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofאַבְרָהָםAv/ra/HAMAbrahamאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofיִצְחָקYits/CHAKIsaacוֵאלֹהֵיve/lo/HEand the God ofיַעֲקֹב׃Ya/a/KOVJacob

    Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.

    וְהָאֱלֹהִיםve/ha/e/lo/HIMand Godלֹאlonotאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofהַמֵּתִיםham/me/TIMthe deadהוּאhuis Heכִּיkibutאִםimonlyאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofהַחַיִּיםha/chay/YIMthe livingכִּיkiforכֻלָּםkhul/LAMallחַיִּיםchay/YIMliveלוֹ׃loto Him

    For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.

39. 39

    וַיַּעֲנוּvay/ya/a/NUand answeredאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenמִן־הַסּוֹפְרִיםmin-has/sof/RIMthe scribesרַבִּיrab/BIrabbiיָפֶהya/FEwellדִבַּרְתָּ׃dib/BAR/tayou have said

    Then certain of the scribes answering said, Master, thou hast well said.

40. 40

    וְלֹא־מָצְאוּve/LO-ma/tse/Uand they did not findעוֹדodanymoreאֶת־לִבָּםet-lib/BAMtheir heartלִשְׁאֹלlish/OLto askאוֹתוֹo/TOhimדָּבָר׃da/VARa thing

    And after that they durst not ask him any question at all.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themאֵיךְekhhowיֹאמְרוּyo/me/RUdo they sayלַמָּשִׁיחַlam/Ma/SHI/achof the Messiahשֶׁהוּאshe/HUthat he isבֶּן־דָּוִד׃ben-Da/VIDthe son of David

    And he said unto them, How say they that Christ is David's son?

    וְדָוִדve/Da/VIDand Davidבְּעַצְמוֹbe/ats/MOhimselfאָמַרa/MARsaysבְּסֵפֶרbe/SE/ferin the book ofתְּהִלִּיםTe/hil/LIMPsalmsנְאֻם־יְהוָֹהne/UM-Adonaithe declaration of the LORDלַאדֹנִיla/do/NIto my Lordשֵׁבshevsitלִימִינִי׃li/mi/NIat My right hand

    And David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

43. 43

    עַד־אָשִׁיתad-a/SHITuntil I makeאֹיְבֶיךָoy/VE/khayour enemiesהֲדֹםha/DOMa footstoolלְרַגְלֶיךָ׃le/rag/LE/khafor your feet

    Till I make thine enemies thy footstool.

44. 44

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidקֹרֵאko/REcallsלוֹlohimאָדוֹןa/DONLordוְאֵיךְve/EKHand howהוּאhuis heבְּנוֹ׃be/NOhis son

    David therefore calleth him Lord, how is he then his son?

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֶל־תַּלְמִידָיוel-tal/mi/DAYVto his disciplesבְּאׇזְנֵיbe/oz/NEin the ears ofכׇּל־הָעָם׃kol-ha/AMall the people

    Then in the audience of all the people he said unto his disciples,

    הִזָּהֲרוּhiz/za/ha/RUbewareמִן־הַסּוֹפְרִיםmin-has/sof/RIMof the scribesהַחֲפֵצִיםha/cha/fe/TSIMwho desireלְהִתְהַלֵּךְle/hit/hal/LEKHto walkעֲטוּפֵיa/tu/FEwrapped inטַלִּיתtal/LITrobesוְאֹהֲבִיםve/o/ha/VIMand loveשֶׁיִּשְׁאֲלוּshey/yish/a/LUthat askבִשְׁלוֹמָםvish/lo/MAMtheir peaceבַּשְּׁוָקִיםbash/she/va/KIMin the marketsוְלָשֶׁבֶתve/la/SHE/vetand to sitרִאשֹׁנִיםri/sho/NIMfirstבְּבָתֵּיbe/vat/TEin the houses ofכְנֵסֶתkhe/NE/setassemblyוּלְהָסֵבu/le/ha/SEVand to reclineרִאשֹׁנִיםri/sho/NIMfirstבַּסְּעוּדוֹת׃bas/se/u/DOTat the feasts

    Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts;

47. 47

    הַבֹּלְעִיםhab/bol/IMwho devourאֶת־בָּתֵּיet-bat/TEthe houses ofהָאַלְמָנוֹתha/al/ma/NOTthe widowsוּמַאֲרִיכִיםu/ma/a/ri/KHIMand make longבִּתְפִלָּתָםbit/fil/la/TAMtheir prayerלְמַרְאֵהle/mar/Efor the sight ofעֵינָיִםe/NA/yimthe eyesהֵמָּהHEM/matheyמִשְׁפָּטmish/PATjudgmentגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatיֶתֶרYE/termoreמְאֹדme/ODveryיִשָּׁפֵטוּ׃yish/sha/fe/TUwill be judged

    Which devour widows' houses, and for a shew make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation.
