   וְגַם־מָשָׁלve/GAM-ma/SHALand a parableדִּבֶּרdib/BERhe spokeאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themלְהִתְפַּלֵּלle/hit/pal/LELto prayתָּמִידta/MIDalwaysוְלֹאve/LOand notלְהִתְרַפּוֹת׃le/hit/rap/POTto lose heart

   And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

   וַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand he saidשׁוֹפֵטsho/FETa judgeהָיָהha/YAthere wasבְּעִירbe/IRin a cityאֶחָתe/CHAToneאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoלֹאlonotיָרֵאya/REfearedאֶת־הָאֱלֹהִיםet-ha/e/lo/HIMGodוְלֹא־נָשָׂאve/LO-na/SAand did not liftפְּנֵיpe/NEthe face ofאָדָם׃a/DAMman

   Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:

   וְאַלְמָנָהve/al/ma/NAand a widowהָיְתָהha/ye/TAthere wasבָּעִירba/IRin the cityהַהִיאha/HIthatוַתָּבֹאvat/ta/VOand she cameאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingדִּינָהdi/NApleadאֶת־דִּינִיet-di/NImy causeמִמְּרִיבִי׃mim/me/ri/VIagainst my adversary

   And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.

   וַיְמָאֵןvay/ma/ENand he refusedיוֹםyomdayוָיוֹםva/YOMand dayוּמִקֵּץu/mik/KETSand at the end ofיָמִיםya/MIMdaysאָמַרa/MARhe saidבְּנַפְשׁוֹbe/naf/SHOwithin himselfגַּם־כִּיgam-kieven thoughלֹאlonotאִירָאi/RAI fearאֶת־הָאֱלֹהִיםet-ha/e/lo/HIMGodוְלֹא־אֶשָּׂאve/LO-es/SAand do not liftפָנִיםfa/NIMfaceלְאָדָם׃le/a/DAMto man

   And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

   אֶעֱשֶׂהe/e/SEI will doאֶת־מִשְׁפַּטet-mish/PATthe justice ofהָאַלְמָנָהha/al/ma/NAthe widowהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisעַל־הַלְאוֹתָהּal-hal/o/TAbecause of her wearyingאֹתִיo/TImeפֶּן־תָּבוֹאpen-ta/VOlest she comeתָמִידta/MIDcontinuallyוְדִכְּאַתְנִיve/dik/ke/at/NIand crush meבְּמִלִּים׃be/mil/LIMwith her words

   Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe Lordשִׁמְעוּshim/Uhearאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhatאֹמֵרo/MERsaysדַּיַּןday/YANthe judge ofהָעַוְלָה׃ha/av/LAunrighteousness

   And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.

   וְהָאֱלֹהִיםve/ha/e/lo/HIMand Godהַהוּאha/HUthatלֹאlonotיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEwill doמִשְׁפַּטmish/PATthe justice ofבְּחִירָיוbe/chi/RAYVHis electהַקֹּרְאִיםhak/kor/IMwho cryאֵלָיוe/LAYVto Himיוֹמָםyo/MAMdayוָלָיְלָהva/LAY/laand nightוַאֲלֵיהֶםva/a/le/HEMand with themיִתְאַפָּק׃yit/ap/PAKHe restrains Himself

   And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

   אֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMto youכִּי־עָשׂוֹki-a/SOthat doיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEHe will doאֶת־מִשְׁפָּטָםet-mish/pa/TAMtheir justiceבִּמְהֵרָהbim/he/RAspeedilyאַךְakhbutבֶּן־הָאָדָםben-Ha/a/DAMthe Son of manבְּבֹאוֹbe/vo/Oin his comingהֲיִמְצָאha/yim/TSAwill he findאֱמוּנָהe/mu/NAfaithבָּאָרֶץ׃ba/A/retson the earth

   I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

   וַיּוֹסֶףvay/YO/sefand he continuedוַיִּשָּׂאvay/yis/SAand took upמְשָׁלוֹme/sha/LOhis parableאֶל־אֲנָשִׁיםel-a/na/SHIMto menבֹּטְחִיםbot/CHIMtrustingבְּנַפְשָׁםbe/naf/SHAMin themselvesכִּיkithatצַדִּיקִיםtsad/di/KIMrighteousהֵמָּהHEM/mathey wereוַאֲחֵרִיםva/a/che/RIMand othersנִבְזִיםniv/ZIMdespisedבְּעֵינֵיהֶםbe/e/ne/HEMin their eyesוַיֹּאמַר׃vay/yo/MARand he said

   And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:

    שְׁנֵיshe/NEtwoאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenעָלוּa/LUwent upאֶל־הַמִּקְדָּשׁel-ham/mik/DASHinto the templeלְהִתְפַּלֵּלle/hit/pal/LELto prayאֶחָדe/CHADoneפָּרוּשׁPa/RUSHa Phariseeוְאֶחָדve/e/CHADand oneמוֹכֵס׃mo/KHESa tax collector

    Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.

11. 11

    וַיַּעֲמֹדvay/ya/a/MODand stoodהַפָּרוּשׁhap/Pa/RUSHthe Phariseeלְבַדּוֹle/vad/DOaloneוַיִּתְפַּלֵּלvay/yit/pal/LELand prayedלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingאוֹדְךָod/KHAI thank Youאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodעַלalforכִּיkithatאֵינֶנִּיe/NEN/niI am notכְּיֶתֶרke/YE/terlike the rest ofהָאָדָםha/a/DAMmankindהַגֹּזְלִיםhag/goz/LIMthe robbersוְהָעֹשְׁקִיםve/ha/osh/KIMand the oppressorsוְהַנֹּאֲפִיםve/han/no/a/FIMand the adulterersוְגַם־לֹאve/GAM-loand also notכַּמֹּכֵסkam/mo/KHESlike the tax collectorהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.

    אֲנִיa/NIIצָםtsamfastפַּעֲמַיִםpa/a/MA/yimtwiceבַּשָּׁבוּעַbash/sha/VU/ain the weekאֲנִיa/NIIמְעַשֵּׂרme/as/SERtitheאֵת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁרet-kol-a/SHERall thatאֲנִיa/NIIקֹנֶה׃ko/NEacquire

    I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

13. 13

    וְהַמּוֹכֵסve/ham/mo/KHESand the tax collectorעָמַדa/MADstoodמֵרָחוֹקme/ra/CHOKafar offוְלֹאve/LOand notאָבָהa/VAwas willingלָשֵׂאתla/SETto liftאֶת־עֵינָיוet-e/NAYVhis eyesהַשָּׁמַיְמָהhash/sha/MAY/mato heavenוְתוֹפֵףve/to/FEFand beatעַל־לִבּוֹal-lib/BOon his heartוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodכַּפֵּרkap/PERbe mercifulלִיlito meאֲנִיa/NIIהַחוֹטֵא׃ha/cho/TEthe sinner

    And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

    אֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMto youכִּי־יָרַדki-YA/radthat went downזֶהzethisלְבֵיתוֹle/ve/TOto his houseנִצְדָּקnits/DAKjustifiedמִזֶּהmiz/ZErather than thisכִּיkiforכׇּל־הַמֵּרִיםkol-ham/me/RIMeveryone who exaltsנַפְשׁוֹnaf/SHOhimselfיִשָּׁפֵלyish/sha/FELwill be humbledוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand whoeverיַשְׁפִּילָהּyash/pi/LAhumbles itיְרוֹמָם׃ye/ro/MAMwill be exalted

    I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

    וַיָּבִיאוּvay/ya/VI/uand they broughtאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himגַּםgamalsoאֶת־הַיְלָדִיםet-hay/la/DIMthe childrenלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatיִגַּעyig/GAhe might touchבָּהֶםba/HEMthemוַיִּרְאוּvay/yir/Uand sawהַתַּלְמִידִיםhat/tal/mi/DIMthe disciplesוַיִּגְעֲרוּvay/yig/a/RUand they rebukedבָם׃vamthem

    And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.

16. 16

    וַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand calledאֹתָםo/TAMthemיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidהַנִּיחוּhan/NI/chuletלַיְלָדִיםlay/la/DIMthe childrenלָבוֹאla/VOto comeאֵלָיe/LAYto meוְאַל־תִּמְנָעוּםve/AL-tim/na/UMand do not hinder themכִּיkiforלְאֵלֶּהle/EL/leto these belongsמַלְכוּתmal/KHUTthe kingdom ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

    But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

17. 17

    אָמֵןa/MENamenאֹמֵרo/MERsayאֲנִיa/NIIלָכֶםla/KHEMto youכֹּלkolallאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoלֹאlodo notיְקַבֵּלye/kab/BELreceiveאֶת־מַלְכוּתet-mal/KHUTthe kingdom ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodכַּיָּלֶדkay/YA/ledas a little childהוּאhuheלֹא־יָבֹאlo-ya/VOwill not enterבָהּ׃vainto it

    Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

18. 18

    וַיִּשְׁאָלֵהוּvay/yish/a/LE/huand asked himקָצִיןka/TSINa rulerאֶחָדe/CHADoneלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingרַבִּיrab/BIrabbiהַטּוֹבhat/TOVgoodמָה־אֶעֱשֶׂהma-e/e/SEwhat shall I doוְאִירַשׁve/i/RASHand I will inheritחַיֵּיchay/YEthe life ofעוֹלָם׃o/LAMeternity

    And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

19. 19

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusמַדּוּעַmad/DU/awhyקָרָאתָka/RA/tadid you callלִּיlimeטוֹבtovgoodאֵיןennoneטוֹבtovgoodכִּיkiexceptאִם־אֶחָדim-e/CHADoneוְהוּאve/HUand He isהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

    And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.

20. 20

    אֶת־הַמִּצְוֹתet-ham/mits/VOTthe commandmentsאַתָּהat/TAyouיוֹדֵעַyo/DE/aknowלֹאlonotתִנְאָףtin/AFyou shall commit adulteryלֹאlonotתִרְצָחtir/TSACHyou shall murderלֹאlonotתִגְנֹבtig/NOVyou shall stealלֹא־תַעֲנֶהlo-ta/a/NEyou shall not answerעֵדedas a witness ofשָׁקֶרSHA/kerfalseכַּבֵּדkab/BEDhonorאֶת־אָבִיךָet-a/VI/khayour fatherוְאֶת־אִמֶּךָ׃ve/ET-im/ME/khaand your mother

    Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.

21. 21

    וַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand he saidאֶת־כׇּל־אֵלֶּהet-kol-EL/leall theseשָׁמַרְתִּיsha/MAR/tiI have keptמִנְּעוּרָי׃min/ne/u/RAYfrom my youth

    And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.

22. 22

    וַיִּשְׁמַעvay/yish/MAand heardיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidעוֹדodyetאַחַתa/CHAToneחָסָרְתָּcha/sar/TAyou lackמְכֹרme/KHORsellאֶת־כֹּלet-kolallאֲשֶׁר־לְךָa/SHER-le/KHAthat you haveוְחַלֵּקve/chal/LEKand distributeלָעֲנִיִּיםla/a/niy/YIMto the poorוִיהִיvi/HIand will beלְךָle/KHAto youאוֹצָרo/TSARtreasureבַּשָּׁמָיִםbash/sha/MA/yimin heavenוּבוֹאu/VOand comeוְלֵךְve/LEKHand walkאַחֲרָי׃a/cha/RAYafter me

    Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

23. 23

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכְּשָׁמְעוֹke/sha/me/Owhen he heardאֶת־זֹאתet-zotthisוַיֵּעָצֵבvay/ye/a/TSEVand he was grievedמְאֹדme/ODveryכִּי־עֹשֶׁרki-O/sherfor wealthגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatהָיָהha/YAthere wasלוֹ׃loto him

    And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.

24. 24

    וַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusכִּיkithatנֶעֱצַבne/e/TSAVhe was grievedוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidכַּמָּהkam/MAhowיִקְשֶׁהyik/SHEhard it isלְבַעֲלֵיle/va/a/LEfor owners ofנְכָסִיםne/kha/SIMrichesלָבוֹאla/VOto enterאֶל־מַלְכוּתel-mal/KHUTinto the kingdom ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

    And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

25. 25

    כִּיkiforנָקֵלna/KELeasierלַגָּמָלlag/ga/MALfor a camelעֲבֹרa/VORto goבְּתוֹךְ־נֶקֶבbe/TOKH-NE/kevthrough the eye ofהַמַּחַטham/MA/chatthe needleמִבּוֹאmib/BOthan to enterעָשִׁירa/SHIRfor a rich manאֶל־מַלְכוּתel-mal/KHUTinto the kingdom ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

    For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

26. 26

    וַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidהַשֹּׁמְעִיםhash/shom/IMthose who heardוּמִיu/MIand whoיוּכַלyu/KHALcanלְהִוָּשֵׁעַ׃le/hiv/va/SHE/abe saved

    And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved?

27. 27

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhatיִפָּלֵאyip/pa/LEis too wonderfulמִבְּנֵיmib/be/NEfor the sons ofאָדָםa/DAMmenלֹאlonotיִפָּלֵאyip/pa/LEis too wonderfulמֵאֱלֹהִים׃me/e/lo/HIMfor God

    And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

28. 28

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidפֶּטְרוֹסPet/ROSPeterהֵןhenbeholdאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweעָזַבְנוּa/ZAV/nuhave leftאֶת־הַכֹּלet-hak/KOLallוַנֵּלֶךְvan/NE/lekhand we wentאַחֲרֶיךָ׃a/cha/RE/khaafter you

    Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.

29. 29

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themאָמֵןa/MENamenאֹמֵרo/MERsayאֲנִיa/NIIלָכֶםla/KHEMto youאֵיןenthere is noאִישׁishmanאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoעָזַבa/ZAVhas leftאֶת־בֵּיתוֹet-be/TOhis houseאוֹoorאֶת־אֲבוֹתָיוet-a/vo/TAYVhis parentsאוֹoorאֶת־אֶחָיוet-e/CHAYVhis brothersאוֹoorאֶת־אִשְׁתּוֹet-ish/TOhis wifeאוֹoorאֶת־בָּנָיוet-ba/NAYVhis childrenלְמַעַןle/MA/anfor the sake ofמַלְכוּתmal/KHUTthe kingdom ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

    And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,

30. 30

    וְלֹא־יִקַּחve/LO-yik/KACHand will not receiveתַּחְתֵּיהֶםtach/te/HEMin their placeכִּפְלֵיkif/LEdoubles ofכִפְלַיִםkhif/LA/yimdoubleבָּעוֹלָםba/o/LAMin the worldהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְלָעוֹלָםve/la/o/LAMand in the worldהַבָּאhab/BAto comeחַיֵּיchay/YEthe life ofעוֹלָם׃o/LAMeternity

    Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.

31. 31

    וַיִּקַּחvay/yik/KACHand he tookאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאֶת־שְׁנֵים־הֶעָשָׂרet-she/NEM-he/a/SARthe twelveוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלָהֶםla/HEMto themהִנְנוּhin/NUbehold weעֹלִיםo/LIMare going upיְרוּשָׁלָיְמָהYe/ru/sha/la/ye/MAto Jerusalemוְכׇל־הַכָּתוּבve/KHOL-hak/ka/TUVand all that is writtenבִּידֵיbi/DEby the hands ofהַנְּבִיאִיםhan/ne/vi/IMthe prophetsעַלalconcerningבֶּן־הָאָדָםben-Ha/a/DAMthe Son of manיִמָּלֵא׃yim/MA/lewill be fulfilled

    Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.

32. 32

    כִּיkiforיִמָּסֵרyim/ma/SERhe shall be deliveredלַגּוֹיִםlag/Go/YIMto the Gentilesוְהֵתֵלּוּve/he/tel/LUand they will mockבוֹvoof himוְהִתְעַלְּלוּve/hit/al/le/LUand they will abuse himוְיָרְקוּve/ya/re/KUand they will spitבְּפָנָיו׃be/fa/NAYVin his face

    For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:

33. 33

    וְהִכּוּהוּve/hik/ku/HUand they will strike himבַשּׁוֹטִיםvash/sho/TIMwith whipsוֶהֱמִיתוּהוּve/he/mi/tu/HUand they will kill himוּבַיּוֹםu/vay/YOMand on the dayהַשְּׁלִישִׁיhash/she/li/SHIthirdקוֹםkomriseיָקוּם׃ya/KUMhe will rise

    And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.

34. 34

    וְהֵםve/HEMand theyלֹאlonotהֵבִינוּhe/VI/nuunderstoodדָבָרda/VARa thingמִכׇּל־אֵלֶּהmik/KOL-EL/leof all theseוַיְהִיvay/HIand wasהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe wordהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisנֶעְלָםne/LAMhiddenמֵהֶםme/HEMfrom themוְלֹאve/LOand notיָדְעוּya/de/Udid they knowאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhatדִּבֶּרdib/BERhe spokeאֲלֵיהֶם׃a/le/HEMto them

    And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.

35. 35

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passבְּקָרְבוֹbe/ka/re/VOas he drew nearאֶל־יְרִיחוֹel-Ye/ri/CHOto Jerichoוְהִנֵּה־אִישׁve/hin/NE-ishand behold a manעִוֵּרiv/VERblindיֹשֵׁבyo/SHEVsittingעַל־יַדal-yadbesideהַדֶּרֶךְhad/DE/rekhthe roadלִשְׁאֹלlish/OLto askצְדָקָה׃tse/da/KAcharity

    And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:

36. 36

    וַיִּשְׁמַעvay/yish/MAand he heardאֶת־קוֹלet-kolthe sound ofהָעָםha/AMthe peopleהָעֹבֵרha/o/VERpassingוַיִּדְרֹשׁvay/yid/ROSHand he inquiredלָדַעַתla/DA/atto knowמַה־הוּא׃ma-huwhat it is

    And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.

37. 37

    וַיַּגִּידוּvay/yag/GI/duand they toldלוֹlohimכִּי־יֵשׁוּעַki-Ye/SHU/athat Jesusהַנָּצְרִיhan/Na/tse/RIof Nazarethעוֹבֵר׃o/VERis passing

    And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.

38. 38

    וַיִּזְעַקvay/yiz/AKand he criedלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusבֶּן־דָּוִדben-Da/VIDson of Davidחׇנֵּנִי׃chon/NE/nihave mercy on me

    And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

39. 39

    וְהַהֹלְכִיםve/ha/hol/KHIMand those who wentלְפָנָיוle/fa/NAYVbefore himגָּעֲרוּ־בוֹga/a/RU-vorebuked himלְהַחֲשֹׁתוֹle/ha/cha/sho/TOto silence himוְהוּאve/HUbut heהִרְבָּהhir/BAincreasedעוֹדodmoreלִזְעֹקliz/OKto cry outבֶּן־דָּוִדben-Da/VIDson of Davidחׇנֵּנִי׃chon/NE/nihave mercy on me

    And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

    וַיַּעֲמֹדvay/ya/a/MODand stoodיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusוַיְצַוvay/TSAVand commandedלַהֲבִיאוֹla/ha/vi/Oto bring himאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himוַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenקָרַבka/RAVhe drew nearוַיִּשְׁאָלֵהוּ׃vay/yish/a/LE/huand he asked him

    And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,

41. 41

    לֵאמֹרle/MORsayingמַה־תִּרְצֶהma-tir/TSEwhat do you wantשֶׁאֶעֱשֶׂה־לָּךְshe/e/e/SE-lakhthat I do for youוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidאֲדֹנִיa/do/NImy Lordאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatתִּפָּקַחְנָהtip/pa/KACH/nabe openedעֵינָי׃e/NAYmy eyes

    Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.

42. 42

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himתִּפָּקַחְנָהtip/pa/KACH/nabe openedעֵינֶיךָe/NE/khayour eyesאֱמוּנָתְךָe/mu/na/te/KHAyour faithהוֹשִׁיעָהho/SHI/ahas savedלָּךְ׃lakhyou

    And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.

43. 43

    וּפִתְאֹםu/fit/OMand suddenlyנִפְקְחוּnif/ke/CHUwere openedעֵינָיוe/NAYVhis eyesוַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand he wentאַחֲרָיוa/cha/RAYVafter himהָלֹךְha/LOKHwalkingוְשַׁבֵּחַve/shab/BE/achand praisingאֶת־הָאֱלֹהִיםet-ha/e/lo/HIMGodוְכׇל־הָעָםve/KHOL-ha/AMand all the peopleרָאוּra/Usawוַיּוֹדוּvay/yo/DUand they gave thanksלֵאלֹהִים׃le/lo/HIMto God

    And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.
