    There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilæans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.

    And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilæans were sinners above all the Galilæans, because they suffered such things?

    I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

    Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?

    וַיִּשָּׂאvay/yis/SAand he took upמְשָׁלוֹme/sha/LOhis parableוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidאִישׁisha manאֶחָדe/CHADoneהָיְתָה־לּוֹha/ye/TA-lohadתְאֵנָהte/e/NAa fig treeנְטוּעָהne/tu/Aplantedבְכַרְמוֹve/khar/MOin his vineyardוַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand he cameלְבַקֶּשׁ־בָּהּle/vak/KESH-bato seek on itפְּרִיpe/RIfruitוְלֹאve/LOand notמָצָא׃ma/TSAfound

    He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidאֶל־הַכֹּרֵםel-hak/ko/REMto the vinedresserהִנֵּה־זֶהhin/NE-zebehold this isשָׁלֹשׁsha/LOSHthreeשָׁנִיםsha/NIMyearsאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIבָאvacomeלְבַקֵּשׁle/vak/KESHseekingפְּרִיpe/RIfruitבַּתְּאֵנָהbat/te/e/NAon the fig treeהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisוְלֹאve/LOand notמָצָאתִיma/TSA/tiI foundכְּרֹתke/ROTcut downאוֹתָהּo/TAitלָמָּה־זֶּהLAM/ma-zewhyתַשְׁחִיתtash/CHITshould it ruinאֵת־הָאֲדָמָה׃et-ha/a/da/MAthe ground

    Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?

    וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand he answeredוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאֲדֹנִיa/do/NImy lordהַנִּיחָהhan/NI/chaleaveאֹתָהּo/TAitעוֹדodstillהַשָּׁנָהhash/sha/NAthe yearהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisעַדaduntilאֲשֶׁר־עֲזַקְתִּיהָa/SHER-a/zak/ti/HAI dig around itוְשַׂמְתִּיve/sam/TIand putדֹמֶןDO/mendungלָהּ׃laon it

    And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:

    אוּלַיu/LAYperhapsתַּעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEit will makeפֶרִיFE/rifruitוְאִם־לֹאve/IM-loand if notתַעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEit makesוְכָרַתָּve/kha/rat/TAthen you shall cut downאֹתָהּo/TAitבַּשָּׁנָהbash/sha/NAin the yearהָאַחֶרֶת׃ha/a/CHE/retnext

    And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passהוּאhuheמְלַמֵּדme/lam/MEDwas teachingבְּיוֹםbe/YOMon the day ofהַשַּׁבָּתhash/shab/BATthe sabbathבְּבֵיתbe/VETin a house ofכְּנֵסֶתke/NE/setassemblyאֶחָד׃e/CHADone

    And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאִשָּׁהish/SHAa womanאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoבָּהּbahad in herרוּחַ־חֳלִיRU/ach-cho/LIa spirit of infirmityכִּשְׁמֹנֶהkish/mo/NEabout eightעֶשְׂרֵהes/REtenשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוְהִיאve/HIand she wasכְפוּפָהkhe/fu/FAbent overוְלֹאve/LOand notיָכְלָהya/khe/LAcouldלָקוּםla/KUMriseקוֹמָהko/MAin statureזְקוּפָה׃ze/ku/FAupright

    And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.

    וַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusוַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand calledאֵלֶיהָe/LE/hato herוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלָהּlato herאִשָּׁהish/SHAwomanהֵחָלְצִיhe/cha/le/TSIbe releasedמֵחָלְיֵךְ׃me/cha/le/YEKHfrom your infirmity

    And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.

    וַיָּשֶׂםvay/YA/semand he putיָדָיוya/DAYVhis handsעָלֶיהָa/LE/haon herוּכְרֶגַעu/khe/RE/gaand in a momentקָמָהKA/mashe roseוַתִּתְעוֹדָדvat/tit/o/DADand stood uprightוַתְּשַׁבַּחvat/te/shab/BACHand praisedאֶת־הָאֱלֹהִים׃et-ha/e/lo/HIMGod

    And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

    וַיִּכְעַסvay/yikh/ASand was angryרֹאשׁroshthe head ofהַכְּנֵסֶתhak/ke/NE/setassemblyעַל־אֲשֶׁרal-a/SHERbecauseרִפָּאrip/PAhealedיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusבַּשַּׁבָּתbash/shab/BATon the sabbathוַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand answeredוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֶל־הָעָםel-ha/AMto the peopleשֵׁשֶׁתSHE/shetsixיָמִיםya/MIMdaysהֵםhemareאֲשֶׁרa/SHERin whichתֵּעָשֶׂהte/a/SEmay be doneבָהֶםva/HEMin themמְלָאכָהme/la/KHAworkבָּאֵלֶּהba/EL/lein theseבֹּאוּBO/ucomeוְהֵרָפְאוּve/he/ra/fe/Uand be healedוְלֹאve/LOand notבְּיוֹםbe/YOMon the day ofהַשַּׁבָּת׃hash/shab/BATthe sabbath

    And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.

    וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand answeredהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe Lordוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himהֶחָנֵףhe/cha/NEFhypocriteהֲלֹאha/LOdoes notיַתִּירyat/TIRuntieאִישׁisheach manמִכֶּםmik/KEMof youבַּשַּׁבָּתbash/shab/BATon the sabbathאֶת־שׁוֹרוֹet-sho/ROhis oxאוֹoorאֶת־חֲמֹרוֹet-cha/mo/ROhis donkeyמִן־הָאֵבוּסmin-ha/e/VUSfrom the mangerוְיוֹלִיכֵהוּve/yo/li/khe/HUand lead itלְהַשְׁקֹתוֹ׃le/hash/ko/TOto water it

    The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?

  16. 16

    וְזֹאתve/ZOTand this oneאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהִיאhiisבַּת־אַבְרָהָםbat-Av/ra/HAMa daughter of Abrahamוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand whomהַשָּׂטָןHas/sa/TANSatanאֲסָרָהּa/sa/RAhas boundזֶהzethisשְׁמֹנֶה־עֶשְׂרֵהshe/mo/NE-es/REeighteenשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsהֲלֹאha/LOshould notתֻתַּרtut/TARbe releasedמִמּוֹסְרוֹתֶיהָmim/mos/ro/te/HAfrom her bondsבְּיוֹםbe/YOMon the day ofהַשַּׁבָּת׃hash/shab/BATthe sabbath

    And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?

  17. 17

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכְּאׇמְרוֹke/om/ROas he saidאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe wordsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseנִכְלְמוּnikh/le/MUwere ashamedכׇּל־מִתְקוֹמֲמָיוkol-mit/ko/ma/MAYVall who rose against himוַיִּשְׂמַחvay/yis/MACHand rejoicedכׇּל־הָעָםkol-ha/AMall the peopleעַל־כׇּל־הַנִּפְלָאוֹתal-kol-han/nif/la/OTat all the wondersהַנַּעֲשׂוֹתhan/na/a/SOTthat were doneעַל־יָדוֹ׃al-ya/DOby him

    And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.

    וַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand he saidלְמָהle/MAto whatדוֹמָהdo/MAis likeמַלְכוּתmal/KHUTthe kingdom ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodוְאֶל־מָהve/EL-maand to whatאַמְשִׁילֶנָּה׃am/shi/len/NAshall I compare it

    Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it?

  19. 19

    דּוֹמָהdo/MAlikeהִיאhiit isלְגַרְגַּרle/gar/GARto a grain ofחַרְדָּלchar/DALmustardאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלְקָחוֹle/ka/CHOtook itאִישׁisha manוַיְשִׂימֵהוּvay/si/ME/huand put itבְגַנּוֹve/gan/NOinto his gardenוַיִּצְמַחvay/yits/MACHand it sproutedוַיְהִיvay/HIand becameלְעֵץle/ETSa treeגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatוְעוֹףve/OFand the birds ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensיְקַנֵּןye/kan/NENnestבַּעֲנָפָיו׃ba/a/na/FAYVin the branches of it

    It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidעוֹדodagainאֶל־מָהel-mato whatאֲדַמֶּהa/dam/MEshall I likenאֵת־מַלְכוּתet-mal/KHUTthe kingdom ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

    And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God?

  21. 21

    דּוֹמָהdo/MAlikeהִיאhiit isלִשְׂאֹרlis/ORto leavenאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלְקָחַתּוּle/ka/chat/TUtook itאִשָּׁהish/SHAa womanוַתִּטְמְנֵהוּvat/tit/me/ne/HUand hid itבִּשְׁלֹשׁbish/LOSHin threeסְאִיםse/IMseahs ofקֶמַחKE/machflourעַדaduntilאֲשֶׁר־יֶחְמַץa/SHER-yech/MATSwas leavenedכֻּלּוֹ׃kul/LOall of it

    It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

    וַיַּעֲבֹרvay/ya/a/VORand he passedבֶּעָרִיםbe/a/RIMthrough the citiesוּבַכְּפָרִיםu/vak/ke/fa/RIMand villagesעָבוֹרa/VORpassingוְלַמֵּדve/lam/MEDand teachingוַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand wentלְדַרְכּוֹle/dar/KOon his wayלָבוֹאla/VOto come toיְרוּשָׁלָיִם׃Ye/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalem

    And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.

    וַיִּשְׁאָלֵהוּvay/yish/a/LE/huand asked himאִישׁisha manלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingאֲדֹנֵינוּa/do/NE/nuour Lordהַמְעַטham/ATare fewהֵםhemtheyהַנּוֹשָׁעִיםhan/no/sha/IMwho are savedוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidאֲלֵיהֶם׃a/le/HEMto them

    Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,

  24. 24

    הִתְאַמְּצוּhit/am/me/TSUstriveלָבוֹאla/VOto enterבַּפֶּתַחbap/PE/tachby the gateהַצָּרhats/TSARnarrowכִּי־אֹמֵרki-o/MERfor sayאֲנִיa/NIIלָכֶםla/KHEMyouרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyיְבַקְשׁוּye/vak/SHUwill seekלָבוֹאla/VOto enterוְלֹאve/LOand notיוּכָלוּ׃yu/KHA/luthey can

    Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

    מִיּוֹםmiy/YOMfrom the dayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיָקוּםya/KUMrisesבַּעַלBA/althe master ofהַבַּיִתhab/BA/yitthe houseוְסָגַרve/sa/GARand shutsאֶת־הַדָּלֶתet-had/DA/letthe doorוְתָחֵלּוּve/ta/chel/LUand you beginלַעֲמֹדla/a/MODto standבַּחוּץba/CHUTSoutsideוְלִדְפֹּקve/lid/POKand to knockעַל־הַדֶּלֶתal-had/DE/letat the doorלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingאֲדֹנֵינוּa/do/NE/nuour lordאֲדֹנֵינוּa/do/NE/nuour lordפְּתַח־לָנוּpe/TACH-LA/nuopen to usוְעָנָהve/a/NAand he will answerוְאָמַרve/a/MARand sayאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMto youאֵינֶנִּיe/NEN/niI do notיוֹדֵעַyo/DE/aknowאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouמֵאַיִןme/A/yinfrom whereאַתֶּם׃at/TEMyou are

    When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:

    אָזazthenתָּחֵלּוּta/CHEL/luyou will beginלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingהֲלֹאha/LOdid notאָכַלְנוּa/KHAL/nuwe eatוְשָׁתִינוּve/sha/TI/nuand drinkלְפָנֶיךָle/fa/NE/khabefore youוּבִרְחֹבוֹתֵינוּu/vir/cho/vo/te/NUand in our streetsלִמָּדְתָּ׃lim/mad/TAyou taught

    Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.

  27. 27

    וְיֹאמַרve/yo/MARand he will sayאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMyouאֵינֶנִּיe/NEN/niI do notיוֹדֵעַyo/DE/aknowאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouמֵאַיִןme/A/yinfrom whereאַתֶּםat/TEMyou areסוּרוּSU/ruturn awayמִמֶּנִּיmim/MEN/nifrom meכׇּל־פֹּעֲלֵיkol-PO/a/leall workers ofהָאָוֶן׃ha/A/veniniquity

    But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

    וְשָׁםve/SHAMthereתִּהְיֶהtih/YEwill beהַיְלָלָהhay/la/LAthe wailingוַחֲרֹקva/cha/ROKand the gnashing ofהַשִּׁנָיִםhash/shi/NA/yimthe teethכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenתִּרְאוּtir/Uyou seeאֶת־אַבְרָהָםet-Av/ra/HAMAbrahamוְיִצְחָקve/Yits/CHAKand Isaacוְיַעֲקֹבve/Ya/a/KOVand Jacobוְאֶת־כׇּל־הַנְּבִיאִיםve/ET-kol-han/ne/vi/IMand all the prophetsבְּמַלְכוּתbe/mal/KHUTin the kingdom ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodוְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMand youמְגֹרָשִׁיםme/go/ra/SHIMdrivenהַחוּצָה׃ha/CHU/tsaoutside

    There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

    וְיָבֹאוּve/ya/VO/uand they will comeמִמִּזְרָחmim/miz/RACHfrom the eastוּמִמַּעֲרָבu/mim/ma/a/RAVand from the westוּמִצָּפוֹןu/mits/tsa/FONand from the northוּמִדָּרוֹםu/mid/da/ROMand from the southוְיָסֵבּוּve/ya/seb/BUand reclineבְּמַלְכוּתbe/mal/KHUTin the kingdom ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

    And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.

  30. 30

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdיֵשׁyeshthere areאַחֲרוֹנִיםa/cha/ro/NIMlastאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיִהְיוּyih/YUwill beרִאשׁוֹנִיםri/sho/NIMfirstוְרִאשׁוֹנִיםve/ri/sho/NIMand firstאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיִהְיוּyih/YUwill beאַחֲרוֹנִים׃a/cha/ro/NIMlast

    And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.

    בַּיּוֹםbay/YOMon the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatנִגְּשׁוּnig/ge/SHUcame nearמִן־הַפְּרוּשִׁיםmin-Hap/pe/ru/SHIMsome of the Phariseesוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himצֵאtsego outוְלֵךְve/LEKHand goמִזֶּהmiz/ZEfrom hereכִּיkiforהוֹרְדוֹסHor/DOSHerodמְבַקֵּשׁme/vak/KESHseeksלְהׇרְגֶךָ׃le/hor/GE/khakill you

    The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themלְכוּle/KHUgoוְאִמְרוּve/im/RUand tellאֶל־הַשּׁוּעָלel-hash/shu/ALto the foxהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iמְגָרֵשׁme/ga/RESHcast outשֵׁדִיםshe/DIMdemonsוּפֹעֵלu/fo/ELand workרְפוּאוֹתre/fu/OThealingsהַיּוֹםhay/YOMtodayוּמָחָרu/ma/CHARand tomorrowוּבַיּוֹםu/vay/YOMand the dayהַשְּׁלִישִׁיhash/she/li/SHIthirdאָבֹאa/VOI will comeעַד־קִצִּי׃ad-kits/TSIto my end

    And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.

    Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.

    O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!

    Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
