   The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.

   Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.

   Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre.

   So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre.

   וַיַּשְׁקֵףvay/yash/KEFand he lookedאֶל־תּוֹכוֹel-to/KHOinto itוַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawאֶת־הַתַּכְרִיכִיםet-hat/takh/ri/KHIMthe linen clothesמֻנָּחִיםmun/na/CHIMlyingוְלֹאve/LOand notנִכְנָס׃nikh/NASdid he enter

   And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.

   וַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand cameשִׁמְעוֹןShim/ONSimonפֶּטְרוֹסPet/ROSPeterאַחֲרָיוa/cha/RAYVafter himוְהוּאve/HUand heנִכְנַסnikh/NASenteredאֶל־הַקָּבֶרel-hak/KA/verinto the tombוַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawאֶת־הַתַּכְרִיכִיםet-hat/takh/ri/KHIMthe linen clothesמֻנָּחִים׃mun/na/CHIMlying

   Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie,

   וְהַסּוּדָרve/has/su/DARand the napkinאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatהָיָהha/YAwasעַל־רֹאשׁוֹal-ro/SHOon his headאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nunotמֻנָּחmun/NACHlyingאֵצֶלE/tselbesideהַתַּכְרִיכִיםhat/takh/ri/KHIMthe linen clothesכִּיkibutאִם־צָרוּרim-tsa/RURwrapped togetherלְבַדָּהּle/vad/DAby itselfבְּמָקוֹםbe/ma/KOMin a placeאֶחָד׃e/CHADone

   And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.

   וְהַתַּלְמִידve/hat/tal/MIDand the discipleהָאַחֵרha/a/CHERotherאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoבָּאbacameרִאשׁוֹנָהri/sho/NAfirstאֶל־הַקָּבֶרel-hak/KA/verto the tombגַּם־הוּאgam-huhe alsoנִכְנַסnikh/NASenteredוַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawוַיַּאֲמֵן׃vay/ya/a/MENand believed

   Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed.

   כִּיkiforעֲדֶןa/DENyetלֹא־הֵבִינוּlo-he/VI/nuthey knew notאֶת־הַכָּתוּבet-hak/ka/TUVthe scriptureאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatקוֹםkomriseיָקוּםya/KUMhe would riseמִן־הַמֵּתִים׃min-ham/me/TIMfrom the dead

   For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.

    וַיָּשׁוּבוּvay/ya/SHU/vuand returnedהַתַּלְמִידִיםhat/tal/mi/DIMthe disciplesוַיֵּלְכוּvay/yel/KHUand wentאֶל־בֵּיתָם׃el-be/TAMto their house

    Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.

    But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre,

    And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.

    וַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֵלֶיהָe/LE/hato herאִשָּׁהish/SHAwomanלָמֶהLA/mewhyתִבְכִּיtiv/KIare you weepingוַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themכִּיkibecauseנָשְׂאוּna/se/Uthey have carried awayמִזֶּהmiz/ZEfrom hereאֶת־אֲדֹנִיet-a/do/NImy Lordוְלֹאve/LOand notיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tido I knowאֵיפֹהe/FOwhereהִנִּיחֻהוּ׃hin/ni/chu/HUthey have laid him

    And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.

    And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.

    Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלֶיהָe/LE/hato herיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusמִרְיָםMir/YAMMaryוַתֵּפֶןvat/TE/fenand she turnedוַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himרַבּוּנִיRab/bu/NIRabboniהוּאhuthat isמוֹרֶה׃Mo/REMaster

    Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.

17. 17

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלֶיהָe/LE/hato herיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusאַל־תִּגְּעִיal-tig/ge/Ido not touchבִיvimeכִּיkiforעוֹדodyetלֹאlonotעָלִיתִיa/LI/tihave I gone upאֶל־אָבִיel-A/VIto my Fatherוּלְכִי־נָאu/le/KHI-naand go nowאֶל־אַחַיel-a/CHAYto my brothersוְהַגִּידִיve/hag/GI/diand tellלָהֶםla/HEMto themאֲנִיa/NIIעֹלֶהo/LEam going upאֶל־אָבִיel-A/VIto my Fatherוַאֲבִיכֶםva/A/vi/KHEMand your Fatherוְאֶל־אֱלֹהַיve/EL-e/lo/HAYand to my Godוֵאלֹהֵיכֶם׃ve/lo/he/KHEMand your God

    Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

18. 18

    וַתָּבֹאvat/ta/VOand cameמִרְיָםMir/YAMMaryהַמַּגְדָּלִיתHam/mag/da/LITMagdaleneוַתְּסַפֵּרvat/te/sap/PERand toldאֶל־הַתַּלְמִידִיםel-hat/tal/mi/DIMthe disciplesאֵת־אֲשֶׁר־רָאֲתָהet-a/SHER-ra/a/TAthat she had seenאֶת־הָאָדוֹןet-ha/a/DONthe Lordוְכִיve/KHIand thatאֶת־אֵלֶּהet-EL/lethese thingsדִּבֶּרdib/BERhe had spokenאֵלֶיהָ׃e/LE/hato her

    Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.

    Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

    וְאַחֲרֵיve/a/cha/REand afterדַבְּרוֹdab/be/ROhis speakingזֹאתzotthisהֶרְאָםher/AMhe showed themאֶת־יָדָיוet-ya/DAYVhis handsוְאֶת־צִדּוֹve/ET-tsid/DOand his sideוַיִּשְׂמְחוּvay/yis/me/CHUand rejoicedהַתַּלְמִידִיםhat/tal/mi/DIMthe disciplesבִּרְאוֹתָםbir/o/TAMwhen they sawאֶת־הָאָדוֹן׃et-ha/a/DONthe Lord

    And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.

21. 21

    וַיֹּסֶףvay/YO/sefand againיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMpeaceלָכֶםla/KHEMto youכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasשָׁלַחsha/LACHsentאֹתִיo/TImeאָבִיA/VImy Fatherכֵּןkensoאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIשֹׁלֵחַsho/LE/acham sendingאֶתְכֶם׃et/KHEMyou

    Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

22. 22

    וְאַחֲרֵיve/a/cha/REand afterדַבְּרוֹdab/be/ROhis speakingזֹאתzotthisוַיִּפַּחvay/yip/PACHand he breathedבָּהֶםba/HEMon themוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themקַבְּלוּkab/be/LUreceiveאֶת־רוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁ׃et-RU/ach-hak/KO/deshthe Holy Spirit

    And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

23. 23

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it will beכׇּל־אֲשֶׁרkol-a/SHERall whoseתִּסְלְחוּtis/le/CHUyou remitלְחַטֹּאתָםle/chat/to/TAMtheir sinsוְנִסְלַחve/nis/LACHthey are remittedלָהֶםla/HEMto themוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand whoseתַּעַצְרוּta/ats/RUyou retainאֶת־חַטֹּאתָםet-chat/to/TAMtheir sinsיֵעָצְרוּ׃ye/a/tse/RUthey are retained

    Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

24. 24

    וְתוֹמָאve/To/MAand Thomasאֶחָדe/CHADoneמִשְּׁנֵים־הֶעָשָׂרmish/she/NEM-he/a/SARof the twelveהַנִּקְרָאhan/nik/RAcalledדִידוּמוֹסDi/du/MOSDidymusלֹא־הָיָהlo-ha/YAwas notבְתוֹכָםve/to/KHAMamong themכְּבוֹאke/VOwhen cameיֵשׁוּעַ׃Ye/SHU/aJesus

    But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

    וַיַּגִּידוּvay/yag/GI/duand toldלוֹloto himהַתַּלְמִידִיםhat/tal/mi/DIMthe disciplesהַנִּשְׁאָרִיםhan/nish/a/RIMwho remainedלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingרָאֹהra/Oseeרָאִינוּra/I/nuwe have seenאֶת־הָאָדוֹןet-ha/a/DONthe Lordוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themאִם־לֹאim-lounlessאֶרְאֶהer/EI seeבְיָדָיוve/ya/DAYVin his handsאֶת־רֹשֶׁםet-RO/shemthe mark ofהַמַּסְמְרוֹתham/mas/me/ROTthe nailsוְאָשִׂיםve/a/SIMand putאֶת־אֶצְבָּעִיet-ets/ba/Imy fingerבִּמְקוֹםbim/KOMin the place ofהַמַּסְמְרוֹתham/mas/me/ROTthe nailsוְאָשִׂיםve/a/SIMand putאֶת־יָדִיet-ya/DImy handבְּצִדּוֹbe/tsid/DOinto his sideלֹאlonotאַאֲמִין׃a/a/MINwill I believe

    The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

    And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

    Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

28. 28

    וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand answeredתּוֹמָאTo/MAThomasוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאֲדֹנִיa/do/NImy Lordוֵאלֹהָי׃ve/lo/HAYand my God

    And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

29. 29

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusתּוֹמָאTo/MAThomasיַעַןYA/anbecauseרָאִיתָra/I/tayou have seenאֹתִיo/TImeהֶאֱמָנְתָּhe/e/man/TAyou have believedאַשְׁרֵיash/REblessed areאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthey thatלֹאlonotרָאוּra/Uhave seenוַיַּאֲמִינוּ׃vay/ya/a/MI/nuand yet have believed

    Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

    And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:

31. 31

    וְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand theseנִכְתְּבוּnikh/te/VUare writtenלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatתַּאֲמִינוּta/a/MI/nuyou might believeכִּיkithatיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהוּאhuisהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahבֶּן־אֱלֹהִיםben-E/lo/HIMthe Son of Godוּלְמַעַןu/le/MA/anand so thatיִהְיוּyih/YUthere may beלָכֶםla/KHEMto youחַיִּיםchay/YIMlifeבִּשְׁמוֹbish/MOthrough his nameבֶּאֱמוּנַתְכֶם׃be/e/mu/nat/KHEMbelieving

    But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
