   וּבַיּוֹםu/vay/YOMand on the dayהַשְּׁלִישִׁיhash/she/li/SHIthe thirdהָיְתָהha/ye/TAthere wasחֲתֻנָּהcha/tun/NAa weddingבְּקָנָהbe/Ka/NAin Canaאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isבַּגָּלִילbag/Ga/LILin Galileeוְשָׁםve/SHAMand there wasאֵםemthe mother ofיֵשׁוּעַ׃Ye/SHU/aJesus

   And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:

   וְיֵשׁוּעַve/Ye/SHU/aand Jesusוְתַלְמִידָיוve/tal/mi/DAYVand his disciplesגַּם־הֵםgam-hemthey alsoהָיוּha/YUwereמִן־הַקְּרוּאִיםmin-hak/ke/ru/IMamong the invitedאֶל־הַחֲתֻנָּה׃el-ha/cha/tun/NAto the wedding

   And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenכָּלָהka/LAran outהַיָּיִןhay/YA/yinthe wineוַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidאֵםemthe mother ofיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאֵיןenthere is noלָהֶםla/HEMto themיָיִן׃YA/yinwine

   And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלֶיהָe/LE/hato herיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusמַה־לִּיma-liwhat is to meוָלָךְva/LAKHand to youאִשָּׁהish/SHAwomanעִתִּיit/TImy timeעֲדַיִןa/DA/yinyetלֹא־בָאָה׃lo-va/Ahas not come

   Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.

   וַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidאִמּוֹim/MOhis motherאֶל־הַמְשָׁרֲתִיםel-ham/sha/ra/TIMto the servantsכׇּל־אֲשֶׁרkol-a/SHERwhateverיֹאמַרyo/MARhe saysלָכֶםla/KHEMto youתַּעֲשׂוּ׃ta/a/SUdo

   His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

   וְשָׁםve/SHAMand there wereשִׁשָּׁהshish/SHAsixכַדֵּי־אֶבֶןkhad/DE-E/venstone jarsעֲרוּכִיםa/ru/KHIMset outכְּמִשְׁפַּטke/mish/PATaccording to the custom ofהַיְּהוּדִיםhay/Ye/hu/DIMthe Jewsלְטׇהֳרָתָםle/to/ho/ra/TAMfor their purificationשְׁתַּיִםSHTA/yimtwoאוֹ־שָׁלֹשׁo-sha/LOSHor threeבַּתִּיםbat/TIMbathsיָכִילya/KHILholdingכׇּל־אֶחָד׃kol-e/CHADeach one

   And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusמַלְאוּmal/Ufillהַכַּדִּיםhak/kad/DIMthe jarsמָיִםMA/yimwith waterוַיְמַלְאוּםvay/mal/UMand they filled themעַד־לְמָעְלָה׃ad-le/MA/lato the top

   Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.

8. 8

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidשַׁאֲבוּ־נָאsha/a/VU-nadraw nowוְהָבִיאוּve/ha/VI/uand bringאֶל־רַבel-ravto the master ofהַמְּסִבָּהham/me/sib/BAthe feastוַיָּבִיאוּ׃vay/ya/VI/uand they brought

   And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.

   וַיִּטְעַםvay/yit/AMand tastedרֹאשׁroshthe head ofהַמְּסִבָּהham/me/sib/BAthe feastאֶת־הַמַּיִםet-ham/MA/yimthe waterאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatנֶהֶפְכוּne/hef/KHUhad turnedלְיַיִןle/YA/yinwineוְלֹאve/LOand notיָדַעya/DAdid he knowמֵאַיִןme/A/yinfrom whereהוּאhuit wasוְהַמְשָׁרֲתִיםve/ham/sha/ra/TIMand the servantsאֲשֶׁר־שָׁאֲבוּa/SHER-sha/a/VUwho drewאֶת־הַמַּיִםet-ham/MA/yimthe waterיָדָעוּya/DA/uknewוַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand calledרֹאשׁ־הַמְּסִבָּהrosh-ham/me/sib/BAthe head of the feastאֶל־הֶחָתָן׃el-he/cha/TANthe bridegroom

   When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himכׇּל־אִישׁkol-ishevery manיִתֵּןyit/TENputs outבָּרִאשׁוֹנָהba/ri/sho/NAfirstאֶת־הַיַּיִןet-hay/YA/yinthe wineהַטּוֹבhat/TOVgoodוְאַחֲרֵיve/a/cha/REand afterשְׁתוֹתָםshe/to/TAMtheir drinkingלִרְוָיָהlir/va/YAto fullnessיִתֵּןyit/TENhe puts outלָהֶםla/HEMto themאֶת־הַגָּרוּעַet-hag/ga/RU/athe inferiorוְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youצָפַנְתָּtsa/FAN/tahave keptהַיַּיִןhay/YA/yinthe wineהַטּוֹבhat/TOVgoodעַד־עָתָּה׃ad-AT/tauntil now

    And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

    זֹאתzotthisרֵאשִׁיתre/SHITthe first ofהָאֹתוֹתha/o/TOTthe signsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatעָשָׂהa/SAdidיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusבְּקָנָהbe/Ka/NAin Canaאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofהַגָּלִילHag/ga/LILGalileeוַיְגַלvay/GALand he revealedאֶת־כְּבוֹדוֹet-ke/vo/DOhis gloryוַיַּאֲמִינוּvay/ya/a/MI/nuand believedבוֹvoin himתַּלְמִידָיו׃tal/mi/DAYVhis disciples

    This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passאַחֲרֵי־כֵןa/cha/RE-khenafter thisוַיֵּרֶדvay/YE/redand he went downאֶל־כְּפַר־נַחוּםel-Ke/FAR-na/CHUMto Capernaumהוּאhuheוְאִמּוֹve/im/MOand his motherוְאֶחָיוve/e/CHAYVand his brothersוְתַלְמִידָיוve/tal/mi/DAYVand his disciplesוְלֹאve/LOand notאָרְכוּa/re/KHUwere longלָהֶםla/HEMfor themשָׁםshamthereהַיָּמִים׃hay/ya/MIMthe days

    After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days.

13. 13

    וַיִּקְרְבוּvay/yik/re/VUand drew nearיְמֵיye/MEthe days ofחַג־הַפֶּסַחchag-Hap/PE/sachthe feast of Passoverאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלַיְּהוּדִיםlay/Ye/hu/DIMbelongs to the Jewsוַיַּעַלvay/YA/aland went upיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusיְרוּשָׁלָיִם׃Ye/ru/sha/LA/yimto Jerusalem

    And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem,

14. 14

    וַיִּמְצָאvay/yim/TSAand foundבַמִּקְדָּשׁvam/mik/DASHin the templeמֹכְרֵיmokh/REthe sellers ofבָקָרva/KARoxenוָצֹאןva/TSONand sheepוּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the young ofיוֹנָהyo/NAdoveוּפֹרְטֵיu/for/TEand the changers ofהַכֶּסֶףhak/KE/sefmoneyיֹשְׁבִיםyosh/VIMsittingשָׁם׃shamthere

    And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:

15. 15

    וַיִּקַּחvay/yik/KACHand he tookחֲבָלִיםcha/va/LIMcordsוַיְעַבְּתֵםvay/ab/be/TEMand he twisted themלְשׁוֹטle/SHOTinto a scourgeוַיְגָרֶשׁvay/GA/reshand he droveכֻּלָּםkul/LAMall of themמִן־הַמִּקְדָּשׁmin-ham/mik/DASHfrom the templeוְאֵתve/ETandהַצֹּאןhats/TSONthe sheepוְאֵתve/ETandהַבָּקָרhab/ba/KARthe oxenוַיְפַזֵּרvay/faz/ZERand he scatteredאֶת־מְעוֹתet-me/OTthe coins ofהַשֻּׁלְחָנִיםhash/shul/cha/NIMthe money changersוַיַּהֲפֹךְvay/ya/ha/FOKHand he overturnedשֻׁלְחֲנֹתֵיהֶם׃shul/cha/no/te/HEMtheir tables

    And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;

16. 16

    וְאֶל־מֹכְרֵיve/EL-mokh/REand to the sellers ofהַיּוֹנִיםhay/yo/NIMthe dovesאָמָרa/MARhe saidהוֹצִיאוּho/TSI/utake outאֵלֶּהEL/letheseמִזֶּהmiz/ZEfrom hereוְאַל־תַּעֲשׂוּve/AL-ta/a/SUand do not makeאֶת־בֵּיתet-betthe house ofאָבִיA/VImy Fatherלְבֵיתle/VETa house ofמִסְחָר׃mis/CHARtrade

    And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.

17. 17

    וַיִּזְכְּרוּvay/yiz/ke/RUand rememberedתַלְמִידָיוtal/mi/DAYVhis disciplesאֶת־הַכָּתוּבet-hak/ka/TUVwhat is writtenכִּי־קִנְאַתki-kin/ATthat the zeal ofבֵּיתְךָbe/te/KHAYour houseאֲכָלָתְנִי׃a/kha/LAT/nihas consumed me

    And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.

18. 18

    וַיַּעֲנוּvay/ya/a/NUand answeredהַיְּהוּדִיםhay/Ye/hu/DIMthe Jewsוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאֵי־זוֹe-zowhatאוֹתotsignתַּרְאֵנוּtar/e/NUwill you show usשֶׁתַּעֲשֶׂהshet/ta/a/SEthat you doכָזֹאת׃kha/ZOTlike this

    Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?

19. 19

    וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand answeredיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themהִרְסוּhir/SUtear downאֶת־הַהֵיכָלet-ha/he/KHALthe sanctuaryהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוּבִשְׁלֹשָׁהu/vish/lo/SHAand in threeיָמִיםya/MIMdaysאֲקִימֶנּוּ׃a/ki/men/NUI will raise it

    Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

20. 20

    וַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidהַיְּהוּדִיםhay/Ye/hu/DIMthe Jewsהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאַרְבָּעִיםar/ba/IMfortyוָשֵׁשׁva/SHESHand sixשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsנִבְנָהniv/NAwas builtהַהֵיכָלha/he/KHALthe sanctuaryהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youבִּשְׁלֹשָׁהbish/lo/SHAin threeיָמִיםya/MIMdaysתְּקִימֶנּוּ׃te/ki/men/NUwill raise it

    Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?

21. 21

    וְהוּאve/HUand heדִּבֶּרdib/BERspokeעַל־הֵיכַלal-he/KHALabout the sanctuary ofגְּוִיָּתוֹ׃ge/viy/ya/TOhis body

    But he spake of the temple of his body.

22. 22

    וְאַחֲרֵיve/a/cha/REand afterקוּמוֹku/MOhe roseמִן־הַמֵּתִיםmin-ham/me/TIMfrom the deadזָכְרוּza/khe/RUrememberedתַלְמִידָיוtal/mi/DAYVhis disciplesכִּי־זֹאתki-zotthat thisאָמַרa/MARhe had saidלָהֶםla/HEMto themוַיַּאֲמִינוּvay/ya/a/MI/nuand they believedבַכָּתוּבvak/ka/TUVthe scriptureוּבַדָּבָרu/vad/da/VARand the wordאֲשֶׁר־דִּבֶּרa/SHER-dib/BERthat had spokenיֵשׁוּעַ׃Ye/SHU/aJesus

    When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.

23. 23

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passבִּהְיֹתוֹbih/yo/TOwhen he wasבִירוּשָׁלַיִםVi/ru/sha/LA/yimin Jerusalemבְּחַג־הַפֶּסַחbe/CHAG-hap/PE/sachat the feast of Passoverוַיַּאֲמִינוּvay/ya/a/MI/nuand believedרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyבִּשְׁמוֹbish/MOin his nameכִּיkiforרָאוּra/Uthey sawהָאֹתוֹתha/o/TOTthe signsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatעָשָׂה׃a/SAhe did

    Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.

24. 24

    וְהוּאve/HUand heיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusלֹאlonotהֶאֱמִיןhe/e/MINdid trust himselfלָהֶםla/HEMto themעַל־אֲשֶׁרal-a/SHERbecauseיָדַעya/DAhe knewאֶת־כֻּלָּם׃et-kul/LAMall of them

    But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men,

25. 25

    וְלֹאve/LOand notהִצְטָרֵךְhits/ta/REKHdid he needלְעֵדוּתle/e/DUTthe testimony ofאִישׁisha manעַל־הָאָדָםal-ha/a/DAMabout manכִּיkiforהוּאhuheיָדַעya/DAknewמַה־בְּקֶרֶבma-be/KE/revwhat was inהָאָדָם׃ha/a/DAMman

    And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.
