   When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where was a garden, into the which he entered, and his disciples.

   And Judas also, which betrayed him, knew the place: for Jesus ofttimes resorted thither with his disciples.

   Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons.

   Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye?

   They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.

   As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.

   Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth.

   Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way:

   לְמַלֹּאתle/mal/LOTto fulfillהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe wordאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatדִּבֵּרdib/BERhe spokeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthose whomנְתַתָּםne/tat/TAMYou gave themלִיlito meמֵאֵלֶּהme/EL/leof theseלֹא־אִבַּדְתִּיlo-ib/BAD/tihave I lost notאַף־אֶחָד׃af-e/CHADeven one

   That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them which thou gavest me have I lost none.

    וּלְשִׁמְעוֹןu/Le/shim/ONand SimonפֶּטְרוֹסPet/ROSPeterחֶרֶבCHE/revhad a swordוַיִּשְׁלְפָהּvay/yish/le/FAand he drew itוַיַּךְvay/YAKHand struckאֶת־עֶבֶדet-E/vedthe servant ofהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLhighוַיְקַצֵּץvay/kats/TSETSand cut offאֶת־אׇזְנוֹet-oz/NOhis earהַיְמָנִיתhay/ma/NITrightוְשֵׁםve/SHEMand the name ofהָעֶבֶדha/E/vedthe servantמַלְכוֹס׃Mal/KHOSwas Malchus

    Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusאֶל־פֶּטְרוֹסel-Pet/ROSto Peterהָשֵׁבha/SHEVreturnחַרְבְּךָchar/be/KHAyour swordאֶל־נְדָנָהּel-ne/da/NAto its sheathהֲלֹא־אֶשְׁתֶּהha/LO-esh/TEshall I not drinkאֶת־הַכּוֹסet-hak/KOSthe cupאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatנָתַן־לִיna/TAN-lihas given meאָבִי׃A/VImy Father

    Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

    אָזazthenתָּפְשׂוּTAF/suseizedהַגְּדוּדhag/ge/DUDthe cohortוְשַׂרve/SARand the commander ofהָאֶלֶףha/E/lefthe thousandוּמְשָׁרֲתֵיu/me/sha/ra/TEand the officers ofהַיְּהוּדִיםhay/Ye/hu/DIMthe Jewsאֶת־יֵשׁוּעַet-Ye/SHU/aJesusוַיַּאַסְרֻהוּ׃vay/ya/as/RU/huand they bound him

    Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jesus, and bound him,

    וַיּוֹלִיכֻהוּvay/yo/li/KHU/huand they led himבָרִאשׁוֹנָהva/ri/sho/NAfirstאֶל־חָנָןel-Cha/NANto Annasכִּיkiforהוּאhuheהָיָהha/YAwasחוֹתֵןcho/TENthe father-in-law ofקַיָּפָאKay/ya/FACaiaphasאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהָיָהha/YAwasכֹּהֵןko/HENthe priestגָּדוֹלga/DOLhighבַּשָּׁנָהbash/sha/NAin the yearהַהִיא׃ha/HIthat same

    And led him away to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year.

    הוּאhuhe wasקַיָּפָאKay/ya/FACaiaphasאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיָעַץya/ATSgave counselאֶת־הַיְּהוּדִיםet-Hay/ye/hu/DIMto the Jewsלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingטוֹבtovit was expedientאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאִישׁ־אֶחָדish-e/CHADone manיָמוּתya/MUTshould dieבְּעַדbe/ADforהָעָם׃ha/AMthe people

    Now Caiaphas was he, which gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.

    וְשִׁמְעוֹןve/Shim/ONand SimonפֶּטְרוֹסPet/ROSPeterוְתַלְמִידve/tal/MIDand a discipleאַחֵרa/CHERotherהָלְכוּha/le/KHUwentאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusוְהַתַּלְמִידve/hat/tal/MIDand the discipleהַהוּאha/HUthatהָיָהha/YAwasנוֹדָעno/DAknownלַכֹּהֵןlak/ko/HENto the priestהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLhighוַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand he enteredעִם־יֵשׁוּעַim-Ye/SHU/awith Jesusלַחֲצַרla/cha/TSARinto the palace ofהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestהַגָּדוֹל׃hag/ga/DOLhigh

    And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple: that disciple was known unto the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the palace of the high priest.

    וּפֶטְרוֹסu/Fet/ROSand Peterעָמַדa/MADstoodמִחוּץmi/CHUTSoutsideלַשָּׁעַרlash/SHA/arat the gateוַיֵּצֵאvay/ye/TSEand went outהַתַּלְמִידhat/tal/MIDthe discipleהָאַחֵרha/a/CHERotherהַנּוֹדָעhan/no/DAwho was knownלַכֹּהֵןlak/ko/HENto the priestהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLhighוַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeאֶל־הַשֹּׁעֶרֶתel-hash/sho/E/retto the gatekeeperוַיָּבֵאvay/ya/VEand broughtאֶת־פֶּטְרוֹסet-Pet/ROSPeterהַבָּיְתָה׃hab/BAY/tainside

    But Peter stood at the door without. Then went out that other disciple, which was known unto the high priest, and spake unto her that kept the door, and brought in Peter.

17. 17

    וַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidהָאָמָהha/a/MAthe damselהַשֹּׁעֶרֶתhash/sho/E/retthe gatekeeperאֶל־פֶּטְרוֹסel-Pet/ROSto Peterהֲלֹאha/LOare notגַם־אַתָּהgam-at/TAyou alsoמִתַּלְמִידֵיmit/tal/mi/DEof the disciples ofהָאִישׁha/ISHthe manהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלֹא׃loI am not

    Then saith the damsel that kept the door unto Peter, Art not thou also one of this man's disciples? He saith, I am not.

18. 18

    וְהָעֲבָדִיםve/ha/a/va/DIMand the servantsוְהַמְשָׁרֲתִיםve/ham/sha/ra/TIMand the officersהִדְלִיקוּhid/li/KUhad kindledאֵשׁesha fireגֶּחָלִיםge/cha/LIMof coalsמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofהַקֹּרhak/KORthe coldוַיַּעַמְדוּvay/ya/am/DUand they stoodוַיִּתְחַמָּמוּvay/yit/cham/ma/MUand they warmed themselvesוְגַם־פֶּטְרוֹסve/GAM-pet/ROSand also Peterעֹמֵדo/MEDstoodעִמָּםim/MAMwith themוּמִתְחַמֵּם׃u/mit/cham/MEMand warmed himself

    And the servants and officers stood there, who had made a fire of coals; for it was cold: and they warmed themselves: and Peter stood with them, and warmed himself.

    וַיִּשְׁאַלvay/yish/ALand askedהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLhighאֶת־יֵשׁוּעַet-Ye/SHU/aJesusעַל־תַּלְמִידָיוal-tal/mi/DAYVabout his disciplesוְעַל־לִקְחוֹ׃ve/AL-lik/CHOand of his doctrine

    The high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples, and of his doctrine.

    וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand answeredיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIדִבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tispokeבְּאׇזְנֵיbe/oz/NEin the ears ofכׇל־הָעוֹלָםkhol-ha/o/LAMall the worldוְתָמִידve/ta/MIDand alwaysלִמַּדְתִּיlim/MAD/titaughtבְּבֵיתbe/VETin the house ofכְּנֶסֶתke/NE/setassemblyוּבְבֵיתu/ve/VETand in the house ofהַמִּקְדָּשׁham/mik/DASHthe templeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereהַיְּהוּדִיםhay/Ye/hu/DIMthe Jewsתָּמִידta/MIDalwaysנִקְהָלִיםnik/ha/LIMgatherשָׁמָּהSHAM/mathereוְלֹא־דִבַּרְתִּיve/LO-dib/BAR/tiand I did not speakדָבָרda/VARa thingבַּסָּתֶר׃bas/SA/terin secret

    Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing.

21. 21

    וּמַה־תִּשְׁאַלu/MA-tish/ALand why do you askאֹתִיo/TImeשְׁאַל־נָאshe/AL-naask nowאֶת־הַשֹּׁמְעִיםet-hash/shom/IMthose who heardמָהmawhatדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI have saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themהִנָּםhin/NAMbehold theyיוֹדְעִיםyod/IMthey knowאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhatאָמָרְתִּי׃a/MAR/tiI said

    Why askest thou me? ask them which heard me, what I have said unto them: behold, they know what I said.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכְּדַבְּרוֹke/dab/be/ROas he spokeהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe wordsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseוַיַּךְvay/YAKHand struckאַחַדa/CHADone ofהַמְשָׁרֲתִיםham/sha/ra/TIMthe officersהָעֹמֵדha/o/MEDstandingשָׁמָּהSHAM/mathereאֶת־יֵשׁוּעַet-Ye/SHU/aJesusבְּכַףbe/KHAFwith the palm ofיָדוֹya/DOhis handוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidהֲכָזֹאתha/kha/ZOTlike thisתַּעֲנֶהta/a/NEdo you answerאֶת־הַכֹּהֵןet-hak/ko/HENthe priestהַגָּדוֹל׃hag/ga/DOLhigh

    And when he had thus spoken, one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, Answerest thou the high priest so?

23. 23

    וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand answeredאוֹתוֹo/TOhimיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusאִם־רָעָהim-ra/Aif evilדִבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI have spokenהָעֵדha/EDbear witnessעַל־הָרָעal-ha/RAof the evilוְאִם־טוֹבve/IM-tovand if wellמַדּוּעַmad/DU/awhyתַּכֵּנִי׃tak/ke/NIdo you smite me

    Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil: but if well, why smitest thou me?

24. 24

    וַיְשַׁלְּחֵהוּvay/shal/le/CHE/huand sent himחָנָןCha/NANAnnasאָסוּרa/SURboundאֶל־קַיָּפָאel-Kay/ya/FAto Caiaphasהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestהַגָּדוֹל׃hag/ga/DOLhigh

    Now Annas had sent him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest.

25. 25

    וְשִׁמְעוֹןve/Shim/ONand SimonפֶּטְרוֹסPet/ROSPeterעֹמֵדo/MEDwas standingוּמִתְחַמֵּםu/mit/cham/MEMand warmed himselfוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himהֲלֹאha/LOare notגַם־אַתָּהgam-at/TAyou alsoמִתַּלְמִידָיוmit/tal/mi/DAYVone of his disciplesוַיְכַחֵשׁvay/kha/CHESHand he deniedוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלֹא׃lono

    And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him, Art not thou also one of his disciples? He denied it, and said, I am not.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאִישׁisha manמֵעַבְדֵיme/av/DEof the servants ofהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLhighוְהוּאve/HUand he wasמוֹדָעmo/DAhis kinsmanלַאֲשֶׁרla/a/SHERof the one whomקִצֵּץkits/TSETScut offפֶּטְרוֹסPet/ROSPeterאֶת־אׇזְנוֹet-oz/NOhis earהֲלֹאha/LOdid notרְאִיתִיךָre/i/TI/khaI see youעִמּוֹim/MOwith himבַּגָּן׃bag/GANin the garden

    One of the servants of the high priest, being his kinsman whose ear Peter cut off, saith, Did not I see thee in the garden with him?

27. 27

    וַיֹּסֶףvay/YO/sefand againפֶּטְרוֹסPet/ROSPeterוַיְכַחֵשׁvay/kha/CHESHdeniedוּפִתְאֹםu/fit/OMand immediatelyקָרָאka/RAcrewהַתַּרְנְגוֹל׃hat/tar/ne/GOLthe rooster

    Peter then denied again: and immediately the cock crew.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passבַּבֹּקֶרbab/BO/kerin the morningהַשְׁכֵּםhash/KEMearlyוַיּוֹלִיכוּvay/yo/li/KHUand they ledאֶת־יֵשׁוּעַet-Ye/SHU/aJesusמִבֵּיתmib/BETfrom the house ofקַיָּפָאKay/ya/FACaiaphasאֶל־בֵּיתel-betto the house ofהַמִּשְׁפָּטham/mish/PATjudgmentוְהֵמָּהve/HEM/maand theyלֹאlonotנִכְנְסוּnikh/ne/SUdid enterשָׁמָּהSHAM/mainto the judgment hallלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatאֲשֶׁרa/SHERtheyלֹא־יִטַּמְּאוּlo-yit/tam/me/Uwould not be defiledכִּיkibutאִםimonlyיֹאכְלוּyo/khe/LUthey might eatאֶת־הַפָּסַח׃et-Hap/PA/sachthe Passover

    Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.

    וַיֵּצֵאvay/ye/TSEand went outפִילָטוֹסFi/la/TOSPilateאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidמַה־תַּאֲשִׁימוּma-ta/a/shi/MUof what do you accuseאֶת־הָאִישׁet-ha/ISHthe manהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    Pilate then went out unto them, and said, What accusation bring ye against this man?

30. 30

    וַיַּעֲנוּvay/ya/a/NUand they answeredוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himלוּלֵאlu/LEif notהָיָהha/YAwereזֶהzethis oneעֹשֶׂהo/SEa doer ofרָעraevilכִּיkithenעַתָּהat/TAnowלֹאlonotהִסְגַּרְנֻהוּhis/gar/nu/HUwould we have handed him overאֵלֶיךָ׃e/LE/khato you

    They answered and said unto him, If he were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered him up unto thee.

31. 31

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themפִּילָטוֹסPi/la/TOSPilateקְחוּke/CHUtakeאֹתוֹo/TOhimאַתֶּםat/TEMyourselvesוְשִׁפְטֻהוּve/shif/tu/HUand judge himכְתוֹרַתְכֶםkhe/to/rat/KHEMaccording to your lawוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himהַיְּהוּדִיםhay/Ye/hu/DIMthe Jewsלֹא־מֻתָּרlo-mut/TARit is not lawfulלָנוּLA/nufor usלְהָמִיתle/ha/MITto put to deathאִישׁ׃isha man

    Then said Pilate unto them, Take ye him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said unto him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death:

    לְמַלֹּאתle/mal/LOTto fulfillדְּבַרde/VARthe word ofיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatדִּבֵּרdib/BERhe spokeלְהוֹדִיעַle/ho/DI/asignifyingאֵי־זֶהe-zewhatהַמָּוֶתham/MA/vetdeathאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיָמוּת׃ya/MUThe should die

    That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spake, signifying what death he should die.

    וַיָּשׇׁבvay/YA/shovand entered againפִּילָטוֹסPi/la/TOSPilateאֶל־בֵּיתel-betto the house ofהַמִּשְׁפָּטham/mish/PATjudgmentוַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand calledאֶל־יֵשׁוּעַel-Ye/SHU/aJesusוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himהַאַתָּהha/at/TAare youהוּאhuheמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofהַיְּהוּדִים׃hay/Ye/hu/DIMthe Jews

    Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews?

34. 34

    Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidפִּילָטוֹסPi/la/TOSPilateהֲכִיha/KHIamאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIיְהוּדִיYe/hu/DIa Jewעַמְּךָam/me/KHAyour own nationוְרָאשֵׁיve/ra/SHEand the chiefs ofהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsהִסְגִּירוּךָhis/gi/ru/KHAhave delivered youאֵלָיe/LAYto meמֶהmewhatעָשִׂיתָ׃a/SI/tahave you done

    Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?

    וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand answeredיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמַלְכוּתִיmal/khu/TImy kingdomאֵינֶנָּהe/NEN/nais notמִן־הָעוֹלָםmin-ha/o/LAMfrom the worldהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisלוּ־הָיְתָהlu-ha/ye/TAif wereמַלְכוּתִיmal/khu/TImy kingdomמִן־הָעוֹלָםmin-ha/o/LAMfrom the worldהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisכִּיkithenאָזazthenנִלְחֲמוּnil/cha/MUwould fightלִיlifor meמְשָׁרֲתַיme/sha/ra/TAYmy servantsלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIthat notהִמָּסֵרhim/ma/SERbe deliveredבְּיַדbe/YADinto the hand ofהַיְּהוּדִיםhay/Ye/hu/DIMthe Jewsאֲבָלa/VALbutעַתָּהat/TAnowמַלְכוּתִיmal/khu/TImy kingdomאֵינֶנָּהe/NEN/nais notמִפֹּה׃mip/POfrom here

    Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himפִּילָטוֹסPi/la/TOSPilateהֲמֶלֶךְha/ME/lekha kingאֵפוֹאe/FOthenאָתָּהAT/taare youוַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand answeredיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingאַתָּהat/TAyouאָמַרְתָּa/MAR/tasayכִּי־מֶלֶךְki-ME/lekhthat a kingאָנֹכִיa/no/KHII amלָזֹאתla/ZOTfor thisנוֹלַדְתִּיno/lad/TII was bornוְלָזֹאתve/la/ZOTand for thisבָּאתִיBA/tiI cameבָעוֹלָםva/o/LAMinto the worldלְהָעִידle/ha/IDto bear witnessלָאֱמֶתla/e/METto the truthכׇּל־אֲשֶׁרkol-a/SHERall whoהוּאhuareמִן־הָאֱמֶתmin-ha/e/METis of the truthיִשְׁמַעyish/MAhearsבְּקוֹלִי׃be/ko/LImy voice

    Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himפִּילָטוֹסPi/la/TOSPilateמָהmawhatהִיאhiisהָאֱמֶתha/e/METtruthוְאַחֲרֵיve/a/cha/REand afterדַבְּרוֹdab/be/ROhis speakingזֹאתzotthisיָצָאya/TSAhe went outשֵׁנִיתshe/NITagainאֶל־הַיְּהוּדִיםel-Hay/ye/hu/DIMto the Jewsוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themאֲנִיa/NIIלֹא־מָצָאתִיlo-ma/TSA/tido not findבוֹvoin himכׇּל־עָוֹן׃kol-a/VONany fault

    Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.

39. 39

    הֵןhenbeholdחֹקchoka customהוּאhuit isלָכֶםla/KHEMfor youאֲשֶׁר־אֲשַׁלַּחa/SHER-a/shal/LACHthat I releaseלָכֶםla/KHEMto youאִישׁisha manאֶחָדe/CHADoneחׇפְשִׁיchof/SHIfreeבַּפָּסַחbap/Pa/SACHat the Passoverהַתַּחְפְּצוּhat/tach/pe/TSUwill youכִּי־אֲשַׁלַּחki-a/shal/LACHthat I releaseלָכֶםla/KHEMto youאֶת־מֶלֶךְet-ME/lekhthe king ofהַיְּהוּדִים׃hay/Ye/hu/DIMthe Jews

    But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews?

40. 40

    וַיּוֹסִיפוּvay/yo/SI/fuand againוַיִּצְעֲקוּvay/yits/a/KUthey cried outכֻּלָּםkul/LAMallלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingלֹאlonotאֶת־הָאִישׁet-ha/ISHthe manהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisכִּיkibutאִםimonlyאֶת־בַּר־אַבָּאet-Bar-ab/BABarabbasוּבַר־אַבָּאu/VAR-ab/BAand Barabbasהָיָהha/YAwasשֹׁדֵד׃sho/DEDa robber

    Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.
