    אֶת־אֵלֶּהTheseדִּבֶּרwords spakeיֵשׁוּעַJesus,וַיִּשָּׂאand lifted upעֵינָיוhis eyesהַשָּׁמַיְמָהto heaven,וַיֹּאמַרand said,אָבִיFather,הִנֵּה־בָאָהis come;הַשָּׁעָהthe hourפָּאֵרglorifyאֶת־בִּנְךְyour Son,לְמַעַןthatיְפָאֶרְךְmay glorify you:גַּם־בְּנֶךְ׃your Son also

    These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:

    כַּאֲשֶׁרAsנָתַתָּyou have givenלוֹhimהַשָּׁלְטָןpowerעַל־כׇּל־בָּשָׂרover all flesh,לְמַעַןthatיִתֵּןhe should giveחַיֵּיlifeעוֹלָםeternalלְכֹלto as manyאֲשֶׁר־נָתַתָּas you have givenלּוֹ׃him.

    As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

    וְאֵלֶּהAnd thisהֵםisחַיֵּיlifeהָעוֹלָםeternal,לָדַעַתthat they might knowאֹתְךָyouכִּיthatאַתָּהyouהָאֱלֹהִיםGod,לְבַדֶּךְthe only trueוְאֶת־יֵשׁוּעַand JesusהַמָּשִׁיחַChrist,אֲשֶׁרwhomשָׁלָחְתָּ׃you have sent.

    And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

    אֲנִיIפֵּאַרְתִּיךָhave glorified youבָאָרֶץon the earth:כִּלִּיתִיI have finishedמְלַאכְתְּךָthe workאֲשֶׁרwhichצִוִּיתַנִיyou gave meלַעֲשׂוֹת׃to do.

    I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

    וְעַתָּהAnd now,פַאֲרֵנִיglorify you meאַתָּהOאָבִיFather,עִמֶּךָwith your own selfבַּכָּבוֹדwith the gloryאֲשֶׁרwhichהָיָה־לִיI hadעִמְּךָwith youטֶרֶםbeforeהֱיוֹתwas.הָעוֹלָם׃the world

    And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

    אֶת־שִׁמְךָyour nameהוֹדַעְתִּיI have manifestedלִבְנֵיunto the menהָאָדָםof menאֲשֶׁרwhichנָתַתָּyou gaveלִּיmeמִתּוֹךְout ofהָעוֹלָםthe world:לְךָyoursהָיוּthey were,וְלִיandנָתַתָּyou gaveאֹתָםthem me;וְאֶת־דְּבָרְךָand your wordנָצָרוּ׃they have kept.

    I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.

    וְעַתָּהNowיָדְעוּthey have knownכִּי־כֹלthat all thingsאֲשֶׁרwhatsoeverנָתַתָּyou have givenלִּיmeמֵעִמְּךָof you.הוּא׃are

    Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.

    כִּיForהַדְּבָרִיםthe wordsאֲשֶׁרwhichנָתַתָּyou gaveלִּיme;נָתַתִּיI have givenלָהֶםunto themוְהֵםand theyקִבְּלוּםhave received them,וַיַּכִּירוּand have knownבֶאֱמֶתsurelyכִּיthatמֵעִמָּךָfrom you,יָצָאתִיI came outוַיַּאֲמִינוּand they have believedכִּיthatאַתָּהyouשְׁלַחְתָּנִי׃didst send me.

    For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

    אֲנִיIבַּעֲדָםfor them:אַעְתִּירprayלָךְunto youלֹאnotבְּעַדforהָעוֹלָםthe world,אַעְתִּירI prayכִּיbutאִםifבְּעַדforאֵלֶּהthemאֲשֶׁרwhichנָתַתָּyou have givenלִּיme;כִּי־לְךָfor yoursהֵמָּה׃they are.

    I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

    וְכׇל־אֲשֶׁרAnd allלִיmineלְךָyours,הוּאareוְשֶׁלְּךָand yoursשֶׁלִּיare mine;וְנִתְפָּאַרְתִּיand I am glorifiedבָּהֶם׃in them.

    And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.

    וַאֲנִיAnd Iאֵינֶנִּיam noעוֹדmoreבָּעוֹלָםin the world,וְהֵםbut theseבָּעוֹלָםin the world,הֵמָּהareוַאֲנִיand Iבָּאcomeאֵלֶיךָto you.אָבִיFather,הַקָּדוֹשׁHolyנְצֹרkeepאֹתָםthemבְּשִׁמְךָthrough your own nameאֶת־אֲשֶׁרthose whomנָתַתָּyou have givenלִּיme,לְמַעַןthatיִהְיוּthey may beאֶחָדone,כָּמֹנוּ׃as we are.

    And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

    בִּהְיוֹתִיWhile I wasעִמָּהֶםwith themבָּעוֹלָםin the world,אֲנִיIנָצַרְתִּיkeptאֹתָםthemבִּשְׁמֶךָin your name:אֶת־אֲשֶׁרthose thatנְתַתָּםyou gaveלִיmeשָׁמַרְתִּיI have kept,וְלֹא־אָבַדand none is lost,מֵהֶםof themאִישׁa manזוּלָתִיbutבֶּן־הָאֲבַדּוֹןthe son of perdition;לְמַלֹּאתthat might be fulfilled.דְּבַרthe wordהַכָּתוּב׃of scripture

    While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

    וְעַתָּהAnd nowהִנְנִיbehold, Iבָאcome Iאֵלֶיךָto you;וְאֶת־אֵלֶּהand these thingsאֲנִיIמְדַבֵּרspeakבָּעוֹלָםin the world,לְמַעַןthatתִּמָּלֵאfulfilledלָהֶםthey might haveשִׂמְחָתִיmy joyבְּקִרְבָּם׃in themselves.

    And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

    אֲנִיIנָתַתִּיhave givenלָהֶםthemאֶת־דְּבָרְךָyour word;וְהָעוֹלָםand the worldשָׂנֵאhath hatedאֹתָםthem,יַעַןbecauseכִּיbecauseלֹאnotמִן־הָעוֹלָםof the world,הֵםthey areכַּאֲשֶׁרeven asגַּם־אָנֹכִיIלֹאnotמִן־הָעוֹלָםof the world.אָנִי׃am

    I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

  15. 15

    וְלֹאnotאַעְתִּירI prayלְךָunto youאֲשֶׁרthatתִּקָּחֵםyou should take themמִן־הָעוֹלָםout of the world,רַקbutשֶׁתִּצְּרֵםthat you should keep themמִן־הָרָע׃from the evil.

    I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

  16. 16

    לֹאnotמִן־הָעוֹלָםof the world,הֵםThey areכַּאֲשֶׁרeven asגַּם־אָנֹכִיIאֵינֶנִּיam notמִן־הָעוֹלָם׃of the world.

    They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

  17. 17

    קַדֵּשׁSanctifyאֹתָםthemבַּאֲמִתֶּךָthrough your truth:דְּבָרְךָyour wordאֱמֶת׃is truth.

    Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

  18. 18

    כַּאֲשֶׁרAsאַתָּהyouשָׁלַחְתָּhast sentאֹתִיmeאֶל־הָעוֹלָםinto the world,כֵּןeven soגַּם־אֲנִיhave I alsoשָׁלַחְתִּיsentאֹתָםthemאֶל־הָעוֹלָם׃into the world.

    As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

  19. 19

    וַאֲנִיAndמַקְדִּישׁI sanctifyאֶת־נַפְשִׁיmyself,בַּעֲדָםfor their sakesלְמַעַןthatיִהְיוּmight beגַם־הֵםthey alsoמְקֻדָּשִׁיםsanctifiedבֶּאֱמֶת׃through the truth.

    And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

  20. 20

    אוּלָםNeitherלֹאnotלְבַדalone,בְּעַד־אֵלֶּהfor theseאָנֹכִיIמַעְתִּירprayלָךְunto youכִּיbutאִםifגַּם־בְּעַדfor them alsoהַמַּאֲמִינִיםwhich shall believeבִּיon meעַל־פִּיthroughדְבָרָם׃their word;

    Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

    לְמַעַןThatיִהְיוּmay beכֻלָּםthey allאֶחָדone;כַּאֲשֶׁרasאַתָּהyou,אָבִיFather,בִּיart in me,אַתָּהyouוַאֲנִיand Iבָךְin you,וְהָיוּmay beגַם־הֵמָּהthat they alsoבָּנוּin us:כְּאֶחָדoneלְמַעַןthatיַאֲמִיןmay believeהָעוֹלָםthe worldכִּיthatאַתָּהyouשְׁלַחְתָּנִי׃hast sent me.

    That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

  22. 22

    וַאֲנִיAndנָתַתִּיI have givenלָהֶםthemאֶת־הַכָּבוֹדthe gloryאֲשֶׁרwhichנָתַתָּyou gaveלִּיmeלְמַעַןthatיִהְיוּthey may beאֶחָדone,כַּאֲשֶׁרeven asאֲנַחְנוּwe areאֶחָד׃one:

    And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

  23. 23

    אֲנִיIבָהֶםin them,וְאַתָּהand youבִיin me,לְמַעַןthatיִהְיוּthey may beמֻשְׁלָמִיםmade perfectלְאֶחָדin one;וּלְמַעַןand thatיֵדַעmay knowהָעוֹלָםthe worldכִּיthatאַתָּהyouשְׁלַחְתָּנִיhast sent me,וְאָהַבְתָּand hast lovedאֹתָםthem,כַּאֲשֶׁרasאֲהַבְתָּנִי׃you have loved me.

    I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

  24. 24

    אָבִיFather,אֲשֶׁרwhomנְתַתָּםyou have givenלִיme,רְצוֹנִיI willשֶׁיִּהְיוּthat they also,עִמָּדִיbe with meבַּאֲשֶׁרwhereאֶהְיֶהam;אָנִיIלְמַעַןthatיֶחֱזוּthey may beholdבִּכְבוֹדִיmy glory,אֲשֶׁרwhichנָתַתָּyou have givenלִּיme:כִּיforאֲהַבְתַּנִיyou lovedst meלִפְנֵיbeforeמוֹסְדוֹתthe foundation ofעוֹלָם׃the world.

    Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

  25. 25

    אָבִיFather,הַצַּדִּיקO righteousהֵןbehold,הָעוֹלָםthe worldלֹאnotיְדָעֲךָhath known you:וַאֲנִיbut Iיְדַעְתִּיךָhave known you,וְאֵלֶּהand theseהִכִּירוּhave knownאֲשֶׁרthatאַתָּהyouשְׁלַחְתָּנִי׃hast sent me.

    O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.

  26. 26

    וַאֲנִיAnd Iהוֹדַעְתִּיםhave declared unto themאֶת־שִׁמְךָyour name,וְאוֹסִיףand willלְהוֹדִיעָםdeclare it:לְמַעַןthatתִּהְיֶה־בָּםmay be in them,הָאַהֲבָהthe loveאֲשֶׁרwherewithאֲהַבְתָּנִיyou have loved meוְגַםandאֲנִיIאֶהְיֶהmay beבָהֶם׃in them.

    And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
