   אַל־יִבָּהֵלal-yib/ba/HELlet not be troubledלְבַבְכֶםle/vav/KHEMyour heartהַאֲמִינוּha/a/MI/nubelieveבֵאלֹהִיםve/lo/HIMin Godוְגַםve/GAMand alsoבִּיbiin meהַאֲמִינוּ׃ha/a/MI/nubelieve

   Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

   בְּבֵיתbe/VETin the house ofאָבִיA/VImy Fatherמְעוֹנוֹתme/o/NOTmansionsרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyוְאִם־לֹאve/IM-loif notכֵןkhensoהָיִיתִיha/YI/tiI wouldאוֹמֵרo/MERtellלָכֶםla/KHEMyouהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iהֹלֵךְho/LEKHam goingלְהָכִיןle/ha/KHINto prepareלָכֶםla/KHEMfor youמָקוֹם׃ma/KOMa place

   In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

   וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it will beכִּי־הָלָכְתִּיki-ha/LAKH/tiwhen I have goneוַהֲכִינוֹתִיva/ha/khi/no/TIand preparedלָכֶםla/KHEMfor youמָקוֹםma/KOMa placeשׁוֹבshovreturnאָשׁוּבa/SHUVI will returnוְלָקַחְתִּיve/la/kach/TIand I will takeאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouאֵלָיe/LAYto myselfלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatתִּהְיוּtih/YUyou may beגַּם־אַתֶּםgam-at/TEMyou alsoבַּאֲשֶׁרba/a/SHERwhereאֲנִיa/NIIשָׁם׃shamam

   And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

   וִידַעְתֶּםvi/da/TEMand you knowאָנָהA/nawhereאֲנִיa/NIIהוֹלֵךְho/LEKHam goingוְאֶת־הַדֶּרֶךְve/ET-had/DE/rekhand the wayיְדַעְתֶּם׃ye/da/TEMyou know

   And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himתּוֹמָאTo/MAThomasאֲדֹנִיa/do/NImy Lordלֹאlonotיָדַעְנוּya/DA/nudo we knowאָנָהA/nawhereאַתָּהat/TAyouהֹלֵךְho/LEKHare goingוְאֵיכָכָהve/e/kha/KHAand howנֵדַעne/DAcan we knowאֶת־הַדֶּרֶךְ׃et-had/DE/rekhthe way

   Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusאָנֹכִיa/no/KHII amהַדֶּרֶךְhad/DE/rekhthe wayוְהָאֱמֶתve/ha/e/METand the truthוְהַחַיִּיםve/ha/chay/YIMand the lifeלֹא־יָבֹאlo-ya/VOdoes not comeאִישׁisha manאֶל־הָאָבel-Ha/AVto the Fatherבִּלְתִּיbil/TIexceptעַל־יָדִי׃al-ya/DIby me

   Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

   לוּ־יְדַעְתֶּםlu-ye/da/TEMif you had knownאֹתִיo/TImeגַּםgamalsoאֶת־אָבִיet-A/VImy Fatherיְדַעְתֶּםye/da/TEMyou would have knownוּמֵעַתָּהu/me/at/TAand from nowיְדַעְתֶּםye/da/TEMyou knowאֹתוֹo/TOHimוְגַםve/GAMand alsoרְאִיתֶםre/i/TEMyou have seenאֹתוֹ׃o/TOHim

   If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himפִּילִפּוֹסPi/lip/POSPhilipאֲדֹנִיa/do/NImy Lordהַרְאֵנוּhar/E/nushow usנָאnanowאֶת־הָאָבet-Ha/AVthe Fatherוְדַיve/DAYand it is enoughלָנוּ׃LA/nufor us

   Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

   Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

    Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

    הַאֲמִינוּha/a/MI/nubelieveלִיlimeכִּי־אָנֹכִיki-a/no/KHIthat I amבָאָבVa/AVin the Fatherוְהָאָבve/Ha/AVand the Fatherבִּיbiin meוְאִם־לֹאve/IM-loand if notהַאֲמִינוּha/a/MI/nubelieveלִיlimeבִּגְלַלbig/LALbecause ofהַמַּעֲשִׂים׃ham/ma/a/SIMthe works

    Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

    אָמֵןa/MENamenאָמֵןa/MENamenאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMto youהַמַּאֲמִיןham/ma/a/MINwhoever believesבִּיbiin meיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEwill doגַם־הוּאgam-huhe alsoאֶת־הַמַּעֲשִׂיםet-ham/ma/a/SIMthe worksאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIעֹשֶׂהo/SEdoוּגְדֹלוֹתu/ge/do/LOTand greater thingsמֵאֵלֶּהme/EL/lethan theseיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEwill he doכִּיkibecauseאֲנִיa/NIIהֹלֵךְho/LEKHgoאֶל־אָבִי׃el-A/VIto my Father

    Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

13. 13

    וְכׇל־אֲשֶׁרve/KHOL-a/SHERand all thatתִּשְׁאֲלוּtish/a/LUyou askבִּשְׁמִיbish/MIin my nameאֶעֱשֶׂנּוּe/e/sen/NUI will do itלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִתְפָּאֵרyit/pa/ERmay be glorifiedהָאָבha/AVthe Fatherבַּבֵּן׃bab/BENin the Son

    And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14. 14

    כִּי־תִּשְׁאֲלוּki-tish/a/LUif you askדָבָרda/VARa thingבִּשְׁמִיbish/MIin my nameאֲנִיa/NIIאֶעֱשֶׂנּוּ׃e/e/sen/NUwill do it

    If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

15. 15

    אִם־אֲהַבְתֶּםim-a/hav/TEMif you loveאֹתִיo/TImeשִׁמְרוּshim/RUkeepאֶת־מִצְוֹתָי׃et-mits/vo/TAYmy commandments

    If ye love me, keep my commandments.

16. 16

    וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאֶתְפַּלֵּלet/pal/LELwill prayאֶל־הָאָבel-Ha/AVto the Fatherוְהוּאve/HUand Heיִתֵּןyit/TENwill giveלָכֶםla/KHEMto youמְנַחֵםMe/na/CHEMa Comforterאַחֵרa/CHERanotherלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִשְׁכֹּןyish/KONhe may abideאִתְּכֶםit/te/KHEMwith youלָנֶצַח׃la/NE/tsachforever

    And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17. 17

    אֶת־רוּחַet-RU/achthe Spirit ofהָאֱמֶתha/e/METtruthאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomלֹא־יָכֹלlo-ya/KHOLcannotהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldלְקַבְּלוֹle/kab/be/LOreceive himבַּאֲשֶׁרba/a/SHERbecauseלֹאlonotיִרְאֵהוּyir/e/HUdoes it see himוְלֹאve/LOand notיֵדָעֵהוּye/da/e/HUdoes it know himוְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMand youיְדַעְתֶּםye/da/TEMknowאֹתוֹo/TOhimכִּי־הוּאki-hufor heשֹׁכֵןsho/KHENdwellsאִתְּכֶםit/te/KHEMwith youוְיִהְיֶהve/yih/YEand will beבְּקִרְבְּכֶם׃be/kir/be/KHEMin you

    Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

18. 18

    לֹאlonotאֶעֱזָבְכֶםe/e/za/ve/KHEMwill I leave youבְּאֵיןbe/ENwithoutמְנַחֵםme/na/CHEMa comforterאָבוֹאָהa/vo/AI will comeאֲלֵיכֶם׃a/le/KHEMto you

    I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

19. 19

    עוֹדodyetמְעַטme/ATa littleוְהָעוֹלָםve/ha/o/LAMand the worldלֹאlonotיוֹסִיףyo/SIFwill continueלִרְאוֹתlir/OTto seeאֹתִיo/TImeוְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMand youתִּרְאוּנִיtir/U/niwill see meכִּיkibecauseחַיchaylivingאֲנִיa/NIam Iוְגַם־אַתֶּםve/GAM-at/TEMand you alsoחָיֹהcha/YOliveתִחְיוּ׃tich/YUwill live

    Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

20. 20

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it will beבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMon the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatיָדוּעַya/DU/aknowתֵּדְעוּted/Uyou will knowכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat Iבְּאָבִיbe/A/VIin my Fatherוְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMand youבִּיbiin meוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iבָכֶם׃va/KHEMin you

    At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

21. 21

    מִיmiwhoeverאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatמִצְוֹתַיmits/vo/TAYmy commandmentsאִתּוֹit/TOwith himוַיִּשְׁמֹרvay/yish/MORand keepsאֹתָןo/TANthemהוּאhuhe isאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoאָהַבa/HAVlovesאֹתִיo/TImeוְאֹהֲבִיve/o/ha/VIand whoever loves meאָהוּבa/HUVwill be lovedלְאָבִיle/A/VIby my Fatherוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאֹהֲבֵהוּo/ha/ve/HUwill love himוְאֵלָיוve/e/LAYVand to himאֶתְוַדָּע׃et/vad/DAI will manifest myself

    He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

22. 22

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudasוְהוּאve/HUand heלֹאlonotאִישׁ־קְרִיּוֹתIsh-ke/riy/YOTIscariotאֲדֹנִיa/do/NImy Lordמֶהmehowהָיָהha/YAis itכִּיkithatתִתְוַדַּעtit/vad/DAyou will manifest yourselfאֵלֵינוּe/LE/nuto usוְלֹאve/LOand notלָעוֹלָם׃la/o/LAMto the world

    Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

23. 23

    וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand answeredיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאִישׁisha manכִּיkiifיֶאֱהָבַנִיye/e/ha/VA/niloves meיִשְׁמֹרyish/MORhe will keepאֶת־דְּבָרַיet-de/va/RAYmy wordsוְאָבִיve/A/VIand my Fatherיֶאֱהַבye/e/HAVwill loveאֹתוֹo/TOhimוְנָבוֹאָהve/na/VO/aand we will comeאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himוְנָשִׂיםve/na/SIMand we will makeמְעוֹנָתֵנוּme/o/na/te/NUour abodeאֶצְלוֹ׃ets/LOwith him

    Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

24. 24

    וַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand whoeverלֹאlodoes notיֶאֱהָבַנִיye/e/ha/VA/nilove meהוּאhuheלֹאlodoes notיִשְׁמֹרyish/MORkeepאֶת־דְּבָרַיet-de/va/RAYmy sayingsוְהַדָּבָרve/had/da/VARand the wordאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatשְׁמַעְתֶּםshe/ma/TEMyou hearלֹא־לִיlo-liis not mineהוּאhuis itכִּיkibutאִם־לָאָבim-La/AVthe Father'sאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoשְׁלָחָנִי׃she/la/CHA/nisent me

    He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

25. 25

    אֶת־אֵלֶּהet-EL/letheseדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tihave I spokenאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMto youבְּעוֹדbe/ODwhileהֱיוֹתִיhe/yo/TII amעִמָּכֶם׃im/ma/KHEMwith you

    These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

26. 26

    וְהַמְּנַחֵםve/ham/Me/na/CHEMbut the Comforterרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁRU/ach-Hak/KO/deshthe Holy Spiritאֲשֶׁר־יִשְׁלַחa/SHER-yish/LACHwhom will sendהָאָבha/AVthe Fatherבִּשְׁמִיbish/MIin my nameהוּאhuheיְלַמֶּדְכֶםye/lam/med/KHEMwill teach youאֶת־כֹּלet-kolallוְיַזְכִּירve/yaz/KIRand bring to remembranceאֶת־כֹּלet-kolallאֲשֶׁר־הִגַּדְתִּיa/SHER-hig/GAD/tithat I have toldלָכֶם׃la/KHEMto you

    But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

27. 27

    שָׁלוֹםsha/LOMpeaceאַנִּיחַan/NI/achI leaveלָכֶםla/KHEMto youאֶת־שְׁלוֹמִיet-she/lo/MImy peaceאֶתֵּןet/TENI giveלָכֶםla/KHEMto youלֹאlonotכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasיִתֵּןyit/TENgivesהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIנֹתֵןno/TENgiveלָכֶםla/KHEMto youאַל־יִבָּהֵלal-yib/ba/HELlet not be troubledלְבַבְכֶםle/vav/KHEMyour heartוְאַל־יֵחָת׃ve/AL-ye/CHATand let it not be afraid

    Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

    שְׁמַעְתֶּםshe/ma/TEMyou have heardכִּיkithatאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tiI saidאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMto youאֵלֵךְe/LEKHI will goוְאָשׁוּבָהve/a/SHU/vaand I will returnאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMto youלוּluifאֲהַבְתֶּםa/hav/TEMyou lovedאֹתִיo/TImeכִּי־עַתָּהki-at/TAthen nowתִשְׂמְחוּtis/me/CHUyou would rejoiceכִּיkibecauseאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tiI saidהֹלֵךְho/LEKHgoאֲנִיa/NIIאֶל־הָאָבel-Ha/AVto the FatherכִּיkiforאָבִיA/VImy Fatherגָּדוֹלga/DOLis greaterמִמֶּנִּי׃mim/MEN/nithan I

    Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

29. 29

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהִגַּדְתִּיhig/GAD/tiI have toldזֹאתzotthisלָכֶםla/KHEMto youבְּטֶרֶםbe/TE/rembeforeהֱיוֹתָהּhe/yo/TAit happensלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatכִּי־תָבֹאki-ta/VOwhen it is come to passתַּאֲמִינוּ׃ta/a/MI/nuyou might believe

    And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.

30. 30

    לֹא־אַרְבֶּהlo-ar/BEI will not multiplyעוֹדodmoreאֲמָרִיםa/ma/RIMwordsעִמָּכֶםim/ma/KHEMwith youכִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdבָאvais comingשַׂרsarthe prince ofהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוּבִיu/VIand in meאֵין־לוֹen-lohe has nothingכֹל׃kholat all

    Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

31. 31

    אַךְakhbutלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatיֵדַעye/DAmay knowהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldכִּיkithatאֹהֵבo/HEVloveאֲנִיa/NIIאֶת־הָאָבet-Ha/AVthe Fatherוְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERand asצִוַּנִיtsiv/VA/nigave me commandmentהָאָבha/AVthe Fatherכֵּןkensoאֶעֱשֶׂהe/e/SEI doקוּמוּKU/muriseוְנֵלְכָהve/nel/KHAand let us goמִזֶּה׃miz/ZEfrom here

    But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
