   לְכוּ־נָאle/KHU-nago nowהָעֲשִׁירִיםha/a/shi/RIMthe richבְּכוּbe/KHUweepוְהֵילִילוּve/he/LI/luand wailעַל־מְרוּדֵיכֶםal-me/ru/de/KHEMfor your miseriesהַבָּאִיםhab/ba/IMthat are comingעֲלֵיכֶם׃a/le/KHEMupon you

   Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.

   עׇשְׁרְכֶםosh/re/KHEMyour wealthנִשְׁחַתnish/CHATis corruptedוּבִגְדֵיכֶםu/vig/de/KHEMand your garmentsאֲכָלָםa/kha/LAMhas eaten themעָשׁ׃ashthe moth

   Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.

   זְהַבְכֶםze/hav/KHEMyour goldוְכַסְפְּכֶםve/khas/pe/KHEMand your silverכִּסָּתַםkis/sa/TAMhas covered themחֶלְאָהchel/Arustוְחֶלְאָתָםve/chel/a/TAMand their rustתִּהְיֶהtih/YEshall beלְעֵדle/EDa witnessבָּכֶםba/KHEMagainst youוְאָכְלָהve/a/khe/LAand will eatאֶת־בְּשַׂרְכֶםet-be/sar/KHEMyour fleshכָּאֵשׁka/ESHlike fireצְבַרְתֶּםtse/var/TEMyou have stored upאוֹצָרo/TSARtreasureלְאַחֲרִיתle/a/cha/RITfor the end ofהַיָּמִים׃hay/ya/MIMthe days

   Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

   הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdשְׂכַרse/KHARthe wages ofהַפֹּעֲלִיםhap/po/a/LIMthe workersאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichקָצְרוּka/tse/RUreapedאֶת־שְׂדֹתֵיכֶםet-se/do/te/KHEMyour fieldsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichעֲשַׁקְתֶּםa/shak/TEMyou defraudedצֹעֵקtso/EKcries outוְצַעֲקַתve/tsa/a/KATand the cry ofהַקֹּצְרִיםhak/kots/RIMthe harvestersבָּאָהba/Ahas comeבְאׇזְנֵיve/oz/NEinto the ears ofיְהוָֹהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹת׃tse/va/OTof hosts

   Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.

   הִתְעַדַּנְתֶּםhit/ad/dan/TEMyou have lived in luxuryבָּאָרֶץba/A/retson the earthוְהִתְעַנַּגְתֶּםve/hit/an/nag/TEMand indulged yourselvesכִּלְכַּלְתֶּםkil/kal/TEMyou have nourishedאֶת־לִבְּכֶםet-lib/be/KHEMyour heartכִּבְיוֹםkiv/YOMas in a day ofטִבְחָה׃tiv/CHAslaughter

   Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.

   הִרְשַׁעְתֶּםhir/sha/TEMyou have condemnedוַהֲמִתֶּםva/ha/mit/TEMand killedאֶת־הַצַּדִּיקet-hats/tsad/DIKthe righteousוְהוּאve/HUand heלֹאlonotיַעֲמֹדya/a/MODresistsלְנֶגְדְּכֶם׃le/neg/de/KHEMagainst you

   Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.

   הַאֲרִיכוּha/a/ri/KHUlengthenאֵפוֹאe/FOthenנַפְשְׁכֶםnaf/she/KHEMyour soulאַחַיa/CHAYmy brothersעַד־בּוֹאad-bountil the coming ofהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe Lordהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהָאִכָּרha/ik/KARthe farmerמְחַכֶּהme/chak/KEwaitsלִפְרִיlif/RIfor the fruit ofהָאֲדָמָהha/a/da/MAthe groundהַיָּקָרhay/ya/KARpreciousוּמַאֲרִיךְu/ma/a/RIKHand waits patientlyנַפְשׁוֹnaf/SHOhis soulלוֹlofor itעַדaduntilאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיִקַּחyik/KACHhe receivesיוֹרֶהyo/REthe first rainוּמַלְקוֹשׁ׃u/mal/KOSHand the latter rain

   Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

   הַאֲרִיכוּha/a/ri/KHUlengthenגַם־אַתֶּםgam-at/TEMyou alsoנַפְשְׁכֶםnaf/she/KHEMyour soulחַזְּקוּchaz/ze/KUstrengthenלְבַבְכֶםle/vav/KHEMyour heartכִּיkiforקָרַבka/RAVhas drawn nearבּוֹאbothe coming ofהָאָדוֹן׃ha/a/DONthe Lord

   Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

9. 9

   אַל־תִּלּוֹנוּal-til/lo/NUdo not grumbleאִישׁisha manעַל־רֵעֵהוּal-re/E/huagainst his neighborאַחַיa/CHAYmy brothersפֶּן־תֶּאְשְׁמוּpen-te/she/MUlest you be guiltyהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהַדַּיָּןhad/day/YANthe judgeעֹמֵדo/MEDstandsלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהַפָּתַח׃hap/PA/tachthe door

   Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.

    קְחוּke/CHUtakeלָכֶםla/KHEMto youאַחַיa/CHAYmy brothersאֶת־הַנְּבִיאִיםet-han/ne/vi/IMthe prophetsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoדִּבְּרוּdib/be/RUspokeבְּשֵׁםbe/SHEMin the name ofיְהוָֹהAdonaithe LORDלְמוֹפֵתle/mo/FETfor an example ofלִסְבֹּלlis/BOLsufferingעֳנִיo/NIafflictionוּלְאֹרֶךְu/le/O/rekhand the length ofרוּחַ׃RU/achspirit

    Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdמְאַשְּׁרִיםme/ash/she/RIMcall blessedאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweאֶת־הַסֹּבְלִיםet-has/sov/LIMthose who endureשְׁמַעְתֶּםshe/ma/TEMyou have heardאֶת־אֹרֶךְet-O/rekhthe length ofרוּחַRU/achthe spirit ofאִיּוֹבIy/YOVJobוְאֶת־אַחֲרִיתve/ET-a/cha/RITand the end ofהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe Lordרְאִיתֶםre/i/TEMyou have seenכִּיkithatרַחוּםra/CHUMis mercifulמְאֹדme/ODveryהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe Lordוְרַבve/RAVand greatרַחֲמִים׃ra/cha/MIMmercy

    Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

    וְעַל־כֹּלve/AL-koland on allאַחַיa/CHAYmy brothersאַל־תִּשָּׁבְעוּal-tish/sha/ve/Udo not swearלֹאlonotבַשָּׁמַיִםvash/sha/MA/yimby heavenוְלֹאve/LOand notבָאָרֶץva/A/retsby the earthוְלֹאve/LOand notבְּכׇל־שְׁבוּעָהbe/KHOL-she/vu/Aby any oathאַחֶרֶתa/CHE/retotherוִיהִיvi/HIand let beהֵןhenyesלָכֶםla/KHEMyourהֵןhenyesוְלֹאve/LOand noלָכֶםla/KHEMyourלֹאlonoפֶּן־תִּפְּלוּpen-tip/pe/LUlest you fallבַּדִּין׃bad/DINin the judgment

    But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.

13. 13

    אִישׁisha manמִכֶּםmik/KEMof youכִּי־יֵצַרki-ye/TSARif it goes hardלוֹlowith himיִתְפַּלֵּלyit/pal/LELprayוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand whoeverיִיטַבyi/TAVis gladלִבּוֹlib/BOhis heartהוּאhuheיְזַמֵּר׃ye/zam/MERlet him sing

    Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.

14. 14

    אִישׁisha manמִכֶּםmik/KEMof youכִּי־יֶחֱלֶהki-ye/che/LEif he is sickיִקְרָאyik/RAlet him callאֶת־זִקְנֵיet-zik/NEthe elders ofהַקְּהִלָּהhak/ke/hil/LAthe churchוְיִתְפַּלְלוּve/yit/pal/LUand prayעָלָיוa/LAYVover himוִיסוּכֻהוּvi/su/khu/HUand anoint himשֶׁמֶןSHE/menwith oilבְּשֵׁםbe/SHEMin the name ofהָאָדוֹן׃ha/a/DONthe Lord

    Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

15. 15

    וּתְפִלַּתu/te/fil/LATand the prayer ofהָאֱמוּנָהha/e/mu/NAfaithתּוֹשִׁיעַto/SHI/awill saveאֶת־הַחוֹלֶהet-ha/cho/LEthe sickוְהָאָדוֹןve/ha/a/DONand the Lordיְקִימֶנּוּye/ki/MEN/nuwill raise him upוְאִםve/IMand ifעָשָׂהa/SAhe didחֲטָאִיםcha/ta/IMsinsיִסָּלַחyis/sa/LACHit will be forgivenלוֹ׃lohim

    And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

16. 16

    הִתְוַדּוּhit/vad/DUconfessאֶת־חַטֹּאתֵיכֶםet-chat/to/te/KHEMyour sinsאִישׁisha manלְרֵעֵהוּle/re/E/huto his neighborוְהִתְפַּלְלוּve/hit/pal/LUand prayאִישׁisha manבְּעַדbe/ADforרֵעֵהוּre/E/huhis neighborלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatתֵּרָפֵאוּte/ra/fe/Uyou may be healedתְּפִלַּתte/fil/LATthe prayer ofהַצַּדִּיקhats/tsad/DIKthe righteousהַפֹּעֶלֶתhap/po/E/letthat worksבְּחׇזְקָהbe/choz/KAwith strengthתּוֹעִילto/ILprofitsהַרְבֵּה׃har/BEmuch

    Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

17. 17

    אֵלִיָּסE/liy/YASEliasאִישׁisha manחַלָּשׁchal/LASHweakהָיָהha/YAwasכָמֹנוּkha/MO/nulike usוַיִּתְפַּלֵּלvay/yit/pal/LELand prayedתְּפִלָּהte/fil/LAa prayerלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIthat notהֱיוֹתhe/YOTto beמָטָרma/TARrainוְלֹא־הָיָהve/LO-HA/yaand there was notמָטָרma/TARrainבָּאָרֶץba/A/retson the earthשָׁלֹשׁsha/LOSHthreeשָׁנִיםsha/NIMyearsוְשִׁשָּׁהve/shish/SHAand sixחֳדָשִׁים׃cho/da/SHIMmonths

    Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

18. 18

    וַיָּשׇׁבvay/YA/shovand he againוַיִּתְפַּלֵּלvay/yit/pal/LELprayedוְהַשָּׁמַיִםve/hash/sha/MA/yimand the heavensנָתְנוּna/te/NUgaveמָטָרma/TARrainוְהָאָרֶץve/ha/A/retsand the earthהִצְמִיחָהhits/mi/CHAbrought forthאֶת־פִּרְיָהּ׃et-pir/YAits fruit

    And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

19. 19

    אֶחָיe/CHAYmy brothersכִּיkiifיִתְעֶהyit/Estraysאִישׁisha manבָּכֶםba/KHEMamong youמִן־הָאֱמֶתmin-ha/e/METfrom the truthוְאִישׁve/ISHand a manיְשִׁיבֶנּוּ׃ye/shi/VEN/nubrings him back

    Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;

20. 20

    יֵדַעye/DAlet him knowכִּיkithatהַמֵּשִׁיבham/me/SHIVthe one who brings backאֶת־הַחוֹטֵאet-ha/cho/TEthe sinnerמִתּוֹעַתmit/to/ATfrom the error ofדַּרְכּוֹdar/KOhis wayיוֹשִׁיעַyo/SHI/awill saveנֶפֶשׁNE/fesha soulמִמָּוֶתmim/MA/vetfrom deathוִיכַסֶּהvi/khas/SEand will coverעַל־רֹבal-rovover a multitude ofחֲטָאִים׃cha/ta/IMsins

    Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
