   Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.

   כִּיkiforמִשְׁכָּןmish/KANa tabernacleנַעֲשָׂהna/a/SAwas madeהָרִאשׁוֹןha/ri/SHONthe firstאֲשֶׁר־בּוֹa/SHER-boin which wasהַמְּנוֹרָהham/me/no/RAthe lampstandוְהַשֻּׁלְחָןve/hash/shul/CHANand the tableוּמַעֲרֶכֶתu/ma/a/RE/khetand the row ofהַלֶּחֶםhal/LE/chemthe breadאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנִקְרָאnik/RAis calledהַקֹּדֶשׁ׃hak/KO/deshthe sanctuary

   For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.

   וּמִבֵּיתu/mib/BETand insideלַפָּרֹכֶתlap/pa/RO/khetto the veilהַשֵּׁנִיתhash/she/NITthe secondהַמִּשְׁכָּןham/mish/KANthe tabernacleהַנִּקְרָאhan/nik/RAwhich is calledקֹדֶשׁKO/deshholy ofהַקֳּדָשִׁים׃hak/ko/da/SHIMholies

   And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;

   אֲשֶׁר־לוֹa/SHER-lowhich hadמַחְתַּתmach/TATthe censerזָהָבza/HAVwith goldוַאֲרוֹןva/a/RONand the ark ofהַבְּרִיתhab/be/RITthe covenantמְצֻפֶּהme/tsup/PEoverlaidזָהָבza/HAVwith goldסָבִיבsa/VIVaroundוּבוֹu/VOand in itצִנְצֶנֶתtsin/TSE/neta jar ofזָהָבza/HAVgoldאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatבָּהּbain itהַמָּןham/MANthe mannaוּמַטֵּהu/mat/TEand the rod ofאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatפָּרַחpa/RACHbuddedוְלוּחוֹתve/lu/CHOTand the tablets ofהַבְּרִית׃hab/be/RITthe covenant

   Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

   וּמִמַּעַלu/mim/MA/aland aboveלוֹloitכְּרוּבֵיke/ru/VEthe cherubim ofהַכָּבוֹדhak/ka/VODgloryהַסֹּכֲכִיםhas/so/kha/KHIMovershadowingעַל־הַכַּפֹּרֶתal-hak/kap/PO/retthe mercy seatלֹאlonotנוּכַלnu/KHALwe canלְדַבֵּרle/dab/BERspeakכָּעֵתka/ETnowעַל־כׇּל־אֶחָדal-kol-e/CHADof each oneמֵהֶםme/HEMof themלְבָד׃le/VADseparately

   And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.

   וְאַחֲרֵיve/a/cha/REand afterאֲשֶׁרa/SHERafterהוּכְנוּhukh/NUwere preparedאֵלֶּהEL/letheseכָּכָהKA/khathusבָּאוּBA/uwentהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsתָּמִידta/MIDalwaysאֶל־הַמִּשְׁכָּןel-ham/mish/KANto the tabernacleהָרִאשׁוֹןha/ri/SHONfirstלַעֲבֹדla/a/VODto performאֶת־עֲבֹדַתet-a/vo/DATthe service ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

   Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.

   אֲבָלa/VALbutאֶל־הַשֵּׁנִיel-hash/she/NIto the secondבָּאbawentהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLhighלְבַדּוֹle/vad/DOaloneפַּעַםPA/amtimeאַחַתa/CHAToneבַּשָּׁנָהbash/sha/NAin the yearלֹאlonotבִּבְלִי־דָםbiv/LI-damwithout bloodאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיַקְרִיבyak/RIVhe offersבְּעַדbe/ADforנַפְשׁוֹnaf/SHOhimselfוּבְעַדu/ve/ADand forשִׁגְגוֹתshig/GOTthe errors ofהָעָם׃ha/AMthe people

   But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

   וְרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁve/RU/ach-hak/KO/deshthe Holy Spiritמוֹדִיעַmo/DI/amaking knownבָּזֹאתba/ZOTby thisכִּיkithatעוֹדodyetלֹא־נִגְלָהlo-nig/LAwas not revealedהַדֶּרֶךְhad/DE/rekhthe wayאֶל־קֹדֶשׁel-KO/deshto the holy ofהַקֳּדָשִׁיםhak/ko/da/SHIMholiesבְּעוֹדbe/ODwhileהַמִּשְׁכָּןham/mish/KANthe tabernacleהָרִאשׁוֹןha/ri/SHONfirstעֹמֵד׃o/MEDstanding

   The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

9. 9

   וְהוּאve/HUand it isמָשָׁלma/SHALa parableלַזְּמַןlaz/ze/MANfor the timeהַהוּאha/HUthatאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatבּוֹboin itהֻקְרְבוּhuk/re/VUwere offeredמְנָחוֹתme/na/CHOTgiftsוּזְבָחִיםu/ze/va/CHIMand sacrificesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹא־יָכְלוּlo-ya/khe/LUthey could notלְהַשְׁלִיםle/hash/LIMto make completeאֶת־הָעֹבֵדet-ha/o/VEDthe one who servesבְּלִבּוֹ׃be/lib/BOin his heart

   Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;

    אֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאֵינָםe/NAMare notכִּיkibutאִם־בְּמַאֲכָלim-be/ma/a/KHALrather in foodוּבְמַשְׁקֶהu/ve/mash/KEand in drinksוּבְרַחְצוֹתu/ve/rach/TSOTand in washingsשׁוֹנוֹתsho/NOTvariousוּבְחֻקּוֹתu/ve/chuk/KOTand in statutes ofבָּשָׂרba/SARfleshאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich wereהוּשְׂמוּhus/MUimposedעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMon themעַד־עֵתad-etuntil the time ofלְתַקֵּן׃le/tak/KENto set right

    Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

    וְהַמָּשִׁיחַve/ham/Ma/SHI/achand the Messiahבְּבֹאוֹbe/vo/Owhen he cameכֹּהֵןko/HENa priestגָּדוֹלga/DOLhighלַטֹּבוֹתlat/to/VOTof the good thingsהַבָּאוֹתhab/ba/OTto comeבְּמִשְׁכָּןbe/mish/KANby a tabernacleגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreaterוְתָמִיםve/ta/MIMand perfectמִן־הָרִאשׁוֹןmin-ha/ri/SHONthan the firstאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹא־נַעֲשָׂהlo-na/a/SAnot madeבִּידֵיbi/DEby the hands ofאָדָםa/DAMmanהוּאhuthat isלֹאlonotמִן־הַבִּנְיָןmin-hab/bin/YANof the creationהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

12. 12

    וְלֹאve/LOneitherבְּדַםbe/DAMthe blood ofשְׂעִירִיםse/i/RIMgoatsוַעֲגָלִיםva/a/ga/LIMand calvesכִּיkibutאִם־בְּדַם־נַפְשׁוֹim-be/DAM-naf/SHOrather by his own bloodבָּאbahe enteredבְּפַעַם־אַחַתbe/FA/am-a/CHATonceאֶל־הַקֹּדֶשׁel-hak/KO/deshinto the holy placeוַיַּשֵּׂגvay/yas/SEGand obtainedלָנוּLA/nufor usגְּאֻלַּתge/ul/LATthe redemption ofעוֹלָם׃o/LAMeternity

    Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

13. 13

    כִּיkiforאִם־דַּםim-damif the blood ofהַפָּרִיםhap/pa/RIMbullsוְהַשְּׂעִירִיםve/has/se/i/RIMand the goatsוְאֵפֶרve/E/ferand the ashes ofהַפָּרָהhap/pa/RAthe heiferאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיִזֶּהyiz/ZEsprinklesעַל־הַטְּמֵאִיםal-hat/te/me/IMthe uncleanיְקַדְּשֵׁםye/kad/de/SHEMsanctifies themלְטׇהֳרַתle/to/ho/RATto the purifying ofהַבָּשָׂר׃hab/ba/SARthe flesh

    For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

14. 14

    אַףafhowכִּי־דַםki-dammuch more the blood ofהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoבְּרוּחַbe/RU/achthrough the Spiritעוֹלָםo/LAMeternalהִקְרִיבhik/RIVofferedאֶת־נַפְשׁוֹet-naf/SHOhimselfבְּלִי־מוּםbe/LI-mumwithout spotלֵאלֹהִיםle/lo/HIMto Godיְטַהֵרye/ta/HERwill cleanseלִבְּכֶםlib/be/KHEMyour heartמִמַּעֲשֵׂיmim/ma/a/SEfrom works ofמָוֶתMA/vetdeathלַעֲבֹדla/a/VODto serveאֶת־אֱלֹהִיםet-e/lo/HIMGodחַיִּים׃chay/YIMthe living

    How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

15. 15

    וּבַעֲבוּרu/va/a/VURand because ofזֹאתzotthisהוּאhuhe isמְתַוֵּךְme/tav/VEKHthe mediator ofבְּרִיתbe/RITa covenantחֲדָשָׁהcha/da/SHAnewלְמַעַןle/MA/ansoעַל־יְדֵיal-ye/DEthroughהַמָּוֶתham/MA/vetdeathלִפְדּוֹתlif/DOTto redeemמִן־הַפְּשָׁעִיםmin-hap/pe/sha/IMfrom the transgressionsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatתַּחַתTA/chatunderהַבְּרִיתhab/be/RITthe covenantהָרִאשׁוֹנָהha/ri/sho/NAthe firstיִקְחוּyik/CHUthey might receiveהַמְקֹרָאִיםham/ko/ra/IMthose who are calledאֶת־הַבְטָחַתet-hav/ta/CHATthe promise ofנַחֲלַתna/cha/LATthe inheritance ofעוֹלָם׃o/LAMeternity

    And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

16. 16

    כִּיkiforבִמְקוֹםvim/KOMin a placeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיֵשׁyeshthere isבְּרִיתbe/RITa covenantצֹרֶךְTSO/rekhneedהוּאhuisכִּיkithatיִהְיֶהyih/YEbeגַּםgamalsoמוֹתmotthe death ofהַמְצַוֶּה׃ham/tsav/VEwho commands

    For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

17. 17

    כִּיkiforבְּרִיתbe/RITa covenantאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterמוֹתmotdieאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenתָּקוּםta/KUMstandsוְאִם־אַיִןve/IM-A/yinand if notאֵיןennoלָהּlato itתֹּקֶףTO/kefforceכׇּל־עוֹדkol-odas long asהַמְצַוֶּהham/tsav/VEwho commandsחָי׃chaylives

    For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

18. 18

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeגַּם־הַבְּרִיתgam-hab/be/RITthe covenant alsoהָרִאשׁוֹנָהha/ri/sho/NAthe firstלֹאlonotחֻנְּכָהchun/ne/KHAwas dedicatedבְּלֹא־דָם׃be/LO-damwithout blood

    Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.

19. 19

    כִּיkiforכְּכַלּוֹתke/khal/LOTwhen finishedמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesלְדַבֵּרle/dab/BERhaving spokenכׇּל־מִצְוָהkol-mits/VAevery preceptאֶל־כׇּל־הָעָםel-kol-ha/AMto all the peopleעַל־פִּיal-piaccording toהַתּוֹרָהhat/to/RAthe lawלָקַחla/KACHhe tookדַּםdamthe blood ofהָעֲגָלִיםha/a/ga/LIMthe calvesוְהַשְּׂעִירִיםve/has/se/i/RIMand the goatsעִם־מַיִםim-MA/yimwith waterוְצֶמֶרve/TSE/merand woolשָׁנִיsha/NIscarletוְאֵזוֹבve/e/ZOVand hyssopוַיִּזְרֹקvay/yiz/ROKand sprinkledגַּםgambothעַל־הַסֵּפֶרal-has/SE/feron the bookוְעַלve/ALand onכׇּל־הָעָם׃kol-ha/AMall the people

    For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,

20. 20

    לֵאמֹרle/MORsayingזֶהzethis isדַם־הַבְּרִיתdam-hab/be/RITthe blood of the covenantאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֲלֵיכֶם׃a/le/KHEMto you

    Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.

21. 21

    וְגַםve/GAMand alsoעַל־הַמִּשְׁכָּןal-ham/mish/KANon the tabernacleוְעַלve/ALand onכׇּל־כְּלֵיkol-ke/LEall the vessels ofהַשָּׁרֵתhash/sha/RETserviceהִזָּהhiz/ZAhe sprinkledדָם׃damblood

    Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.

22. 22

    וְכִמְעַטve/khim/ATand almostהַכֹּלhak/KOLallיְטֻהַרye/tu/HARis cleansedבַּדָּםbad/DAMwith bloodעַל־פִּיal-piaccording toהַתּוֹרָהhat/to/RAthe lawוְאֵיןve/ENand there is noסְלִיחָהse/li/CHAforgivenessבְּלֹאbe/LOwithoutשְׁפֹךְshe/FOKHthe pouring out ofדָּם׃damblood

    And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

23. 23

    עַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeצֹרֶךְTSO/rekhneedהָיָהha/YAit wasכִּיkithatתַּבְנִיתtav/NITthe pattern ofהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich areבַּשָּׁמַיִםbash/sha/MA/yimin the heavensתְּטֹהַרte/to/HARshould be purifiedבָּאֵלֶּהba/EL/lein theseאַךְakhbutהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich areבַּשָּׁמַיִםbash/sha/MA/yimin heavenהֵםhemtheyבִּזְבָחִיםbiz/va/CHIMwith sacrificesטוֹבִיםto/VIMbetterמֵאֵלֶּה׃me/EL/lethan these

    It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

24. 24

    כִּיkiforהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahלֹא־בָאlo-vadid not enterאֶל־הַקֹּדֶשׁel-hak/KO/deshinto the holy placeהַנַּעֲשֶׂהhan/na/a/SEmadeבִּידֵיbi/DEby the hands ofאָדָםa/DAMmanאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהוּאhuareדְּמוּתde/MUTthe likeness ofהָאֱמֶתha/e/METthe trueכִּיkibutאִם־בָּאim-barather he enteredאֶל־עֶצֶםel-E/tseminto the veryהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimheavenלֵרָאוֹתle/ra/OTto appearעַתָּהat/TAnowבַעֲדֵנוּva/a/DE/nufor usאֶת־פְּנֵיet-pe/NEbefore the face ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

    For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

25. 25

    אַף־לֹאaf-lonorלְהַקְרִיבle/hak/RIVto offerאֶת־נַפְשׁוֹet-naf/SHOhimselfפְּעָמִיםpe/a/MIMtimesרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyכַּכֹּהֵןkak/ko/HENas the priestהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLhighהַבָּאhab/BAentersשָׁנָהsha/NAyearבְשָׁנָהve/sha/NAby yearאֶל־הַקֹּדֶשׁel-hak/KO/deshinto the holy placeבְּדַםbe/DAMwith the blood ofאֲחֵרִים׃a/che/RIMothers

    Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

26. 26

    כִּיkiforאִם־כֵּןim-kenif soהָיָהha/YAit would have beenעָלָיוa/LAYVit was on himלִסְבֹּלlis/BOLto sufferפְּעָמִיםpe/a/MIMtimesרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyמִמּוֹסְדוֹתmim/mos/DOTfrom the foundations ofהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldוְעַתָּהve/at/TAbut nowבְּפַעַםbe/FA/amat a timeאַחַתa/CHAToneבְּאַחֲרִיתbe/a/cha/RITin the end ofהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldנִרְאָהnir/Ahe appearedלְהַעֲבִירle/ha/a/VIRto removeאֶת־הַחֵטְאet-ha/CHETsinבְּזֶבַחbe/ZE/vachby the sacrifice ofנַפְשׁוֹ׃naf/SHOhimself

    For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

27. 27

    וְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERand asנִגְזַרnig/ZARit is decreedעַל־בְּנֵיal-be/NEfor the sons ofהָאָדָםha/a/DAMmenלָמוּתla/MUTto dieפַּעַםPA/amtimeאַחַתa/CHATonceוְאַחֲרֵי־כֵןve/a/cha/RE-khenbut after thisהַמִּשְׁפָּט׃ham/mish/PATthe judgment

    And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

28. 28

    כֵּןkensoהֻקְרַבhuk/RAVwas offeredהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe MessiahפַּעַםPA/amtimeאַחַתa/CHAToneלָשֵׂאתla/SETto bearחֵטְאchetthe sin ofרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyוְלַמְחַכִּיםve/lam/chak/KIMand to those who waitלוֹlofor himיֵרָאֶהye/ra/Ehe will appearשֵׁנִיתshe/NITsecondבְּלִי־חֵטְאbe/LI-chetwithout sinלִישׁוּעָה׃li/shu/Afor salvation

    So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
