1. 1

   לָכֵןthereforeאַחַיmy-brothersהַקְּדוֹשִׁיםthe-saintsחֲבֵרִיםpartakers-ofבַּקְּרִיאָהof-the-callingשֶׁל־מַעְלָהheavenlyהַבִּיטוּconsiderאֶל־הַשָּׁלִיחַthe-Apostleוְכֹהֵןand-Priestהוֹדָאָתֵנוּof-our-professionהַגָּדוֹלHighאֶל־הַמָּשִׁיחַChristיֵשׁוּעַ׃Jesus

   Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

   הַנֶּאֱמָןwho-was-faithfulלְעֹשֵׂהוּto-him-that-appointed-himכְּמשֶׁהas-Mosesבְּכׇל־בֵּיתוֹ׃in-all-his-house

   Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.

   כִּי־תִפְאֶרֶתfor-of-gloryגְּדוֹלָהmoreמִמּשֶׁהthan-Mosesנָחַל־הוּאhe-was-counted-worthyכַּאֲשֶׁרinasmuch-asבֹּנֵהhe-that-buildedהַבַּיִתthe-houseרַבhath-moreכְּבוֹדוֹhonorמִכְּבוֹדfrom-the-glory-ofהַבָּיִת׃the-house

   For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.

4. 4

   כִּיbecauseכׇל־בַּיִתevery-houseיֶשׁ־לוֹis-builded-byבֹנֶהsome-manוּבוֹנֵהbut-he-that-builtהַכֹּלall-thingsהוּאisהָאֱלֹהִים׃the-God

   For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.

   וְהֵןand-yeaמשֶׁהMosesנֶאֱמָןfaithfulבְּכׇלin-allבֵּיתוֹhis-houseכְּעֶבֶדas-a-servantלְעֵדוּתfor-a-testimony-ofהַדְּבָרִיםthe-thingsהָעֲתִידִים׃to-be-spoken-after

   And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;

   אֲבָלbutהַמָּשִׁיחַthe-Messiahהוּאheכְּבֵןas-a-Sonעַל־בֵּיתוֹupon-his-householdוַאֲנַחְנוּand-we-areבֵיתוֹhis-houseוּבִלְבַדand-onlyשֶׁנַּחֲזִיקthat-we-shall-hold-fastבַּבִּטְחָהin-the-trustוּבִתְהִלַּתand-in-praise-ofהַתִּקְוָהthe-hopeוְלֹא־נַרְפֶּנָּהfirmעַד־הַקֵּץ׃unto-the-end

   But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

   לָכֵןthereforeכַּאֲשֶׁרasיֹאמַרsaithרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁthe-Holy-Ghostהַיּוֹםthe-dayאִם־בְּקֹלוֹif-His-voiceתִשְׁמָעוּ׃you-will-hear

   Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,

   אַל־תַּקְשׁוּdo-not-hardenלְבַבְכֶםyour-heartsכִּמְרִיבָהas-in-the-provocationכְּיוֹםin-the-day-ofמַסָּהtemptationבַּמִּדְבָּר׃in-the-wilderness

   Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

9. 9

   אֲשֶׁרwhichנִסּוּנִיtempted-meאֲבוֹתֵיכֶםyour-fathersבְּחָנוּנִיproved-meגַּם־רָאוּand-sawפׇעֳלִיmy-worksאַרְבָּעִיםfortyשָׁנָה׃years

   When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.

10. 10

    לָכֵןthereforeאָקוּטI-was-grievedבַּדּוֹרwith-that-generationוָאֹמַרand-saidעַםa-peopleתֹּעֵיthat-err-inלֵבָבheartהֵםtheyוְהֵםand-theyלֹא־יָדְעוּknow-notדְרָכָי׃my-ways

    Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.

11. 11

    אֲשֶׁר־נִשְׁבַּעְתִּיso-I-swareבְאַפִּיin-my-wrathאִם־יְבֹאוּןthey-shall-not-enterאֶל־מְנוּחָתִי׃to-my-rest

    So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)

12. 12

    רְאוּbeholdעַתָּהnowאֶחָיbrothers-myפֶּן־יֵשׁlest-there-beבְּאֶחָדin-anyמִכֶּםof-youלֶב־רַעan-evil-heartוַחֲסַרofאֱמוּנָהunbeliefלָסוּרin-departingמֵאֱלֹהִיםfrom-the-Godחַיִּים׃living

    Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

13. 13

    רַק־הוֹכֵחַbutתּוֹכִיחוּexhortאִישׁa-manאֶת־רֵעֵהוּone-anotherיוֹםdayיוֹםby-dayכׇּל־עוֹדwhileשֶׁיֵּאָמֵרit-is-calledהַיּוֹםthe-dayלְמַעַןin-order-thatאֲשֶׁרwhichלֹא־יַקְשֶׁהbe-not-hardenedאִישׁanyמִכֶּםof-youאֶת־לִבּוֹthe-heartבְּמִרְמַתthrough-the-deceitfulness-ofהַחֵטְא׃the-sin

    But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

14. 14

    כִּיbecauseחֲבֵרִיםpartakers-ofהָיִינוּmadeלַמָּשִׁיחַof-Christוּבִלְבַדifשֶׁנַּחֲזִיקwe-holdבַּבִּטְחָהthe-confidenceהָרִאשׁוֹנָהthe-beginningוְלֹאstedfastנַרְפֶּנָּהuntoעַד־הַקֵּץ׃the-end

    For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end;

15. 15

    כְּמוֹasשֶׁנֶּאֱמַרwhile-it-is-saidהַיּוֹםthe-dayאִם־בְּקֹלוֹif-His-voiceתִשְׁמָעוּyou-will-hearאַל־תַּקְשׁוּdo-not-hardenלְבַבְכֶםyour-heartsכִּמְרִיבָה׃like-Meribah

    While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

16. 16

    וּמִיfor-someהֵםwhoהַשֹּׁמְעִיםhad-heardוַיָּרִיבוּdid-provokeהֲלֹאdo-notכׇּל־יֹצְאֵיall-that-came-out-ofמִצְרַיִםEgyptבְּיַד־משֶׁה׃by-Moses

    For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.

17. 17

    וּבְמִיbut-with-whomהִתְקוֹטֵטwas-he-grievedאַרְבָּעִיםfortyשָׁנָהyearsהֲלֹאdo-notבַחַטָּאִיםwith-them-that-sinnedאֲשֶׁרwhoseנָפְלוּfellפִגְרֵיהֶםcarcasesבַּמִּדְבָּר׃in-the-wilderness

    But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?

18. 18

    וּלְמִיand-to-whomנִשְׁבַּעsware-heשֶׁלּאthat-they-should-notיָבֹאוּenterאֶל־מְנוּחָתוֹinto-his-restכִּיbutאִםratherלַסּוֹרֲרִים׃to-them-that-believed-not

    And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?

19. 19

    וַאֲנַחְנוּand-we-areרֹאִיםseeשֶׁלּאthat-theyיָכְלוּcould-notלָבוֹאenter-inעַל־אֲשֶׁרbecause-ofלֹאnotהֶאֱמִינוּ׃unbelief

    So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
