   לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeאַחַיa/CHAYmy brothersהַקְּדוֹשִׁיםhak/ke/do/SHIMholyחֲבֵרִיםcha/ve/RIMpartners inבַּקְּרִיאָהbak/ke/ri/Athe callingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich isמִן־הַשָּׁמַיִםmin-hash/sha/MA/yimfrom heavenהַבִּיטוּhab/BI/tulookאֶל־הַשָּׁלִיחַel-hash/sha/LI/achto the apostleוְכֹהֵןve/kho/HENand priestתּוֹדָתֵנוּto/da/te/NUour confessionהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLhighאֶל־הַמָּשִׁיחַel-Ham/ma/SHI/achto the Messiahיֵשׁוּעַ׃Ye/SHU/aJesus

   Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

   הַנֶּאֱמָןhan/ne/e/MANwho is faithfulלְעֹשֵׂהוּle/O/SE/huto the One who made himכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasגַּם־מֹשֶׁהgam-Mo/SHEalso Mosesנֶאֱמָןne/e/MANwas faithfulבְּכׇל־בֵּיתוֹ׃be/KHOL-be/TOin all His house

   Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.

   כִּיkiforזֶהzethis manנֶחְשַׁבnech/SHAVwas countedרָאוּיra/UYworthyלְתִפְאֶרֶתle/tif/E/retof gloryגְּדוֹלָהge/do/LAgreaterמִמֹּשֶׁהmim/Mo/SHEthan Mosesכְּפִיke/FIaccording toאֲשֶׁרa/SHERasבֹּנֵהbo/NEthe builder ofהַבַּיִתhab/BA/yitthe houseרַבravgreaterכְּבוֹדוֹke/vo/DOhis honorמִכְּבוֹדmik/ke/VODthan the honor ofהַבָּיִת׃hab/BA/yitthe house

   For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.

   כִּיkiforכׇל־בַּיִתkhol-BA/yitevery houseיִבָּנֶהyib/ba/NEis built upבְּיַדbe/YADby the hand ofאִישׁisha manוּבוֹנֵהu/vo/NEand the builder ofהַכֹּלhak/KOLallהוּאhuisהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

   For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.

   וּמֹשֶׁהu/Mo/SHEand Mosesאׇמְנָםom/NAMtrulyנֶאֱמָןne/e/MANwas faithfulבְּכׇל־בֵּיתוֹbe/KHOL-be/TOin all His houseכְּעֶבֶדke/E/vedas a servantלְעֵדוּתle/e/DUTfor a testimony ofהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיְדֻבְּרוּye/dub/be/RUwould be spokenאַחֲרֵי־כֵן׃a/cha/RE-khenafter that

   And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;

   אֲבָלa/VALbutהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahכְּבֵןke/VENas a sonעַל־בֵּיתוֹal-be/TOover His houseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoseבֵּיתוֹbe/TOhouseאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuare weאִם־נַחֲזִיקim-na/cha/ZIKif we hold fastבַּבִּטְחָהbab/bit/CHAto the confidenceוּבִתְהִלַּתu/vit/hil/LATand to the boast ofהַתִּקְוָהhat/tik/VAthe hopeוְלֹא־נַרְפֶּנָּהve/LO-nar/pen/NAand not let it goעַד־הַקֵּץ׃ad-hak/KETSto the end

   But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

   לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasיֹאמַרyo/MARsaysרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁRU/ach-Hak/KO/deshthe Holy Spiritהַיּוֹםhay/YOMtodayאִם־בְּקֹלוֹim-be/ko/LOif to His voiceתִשְׁמָעוּ׃tish/MA/uyou will listen

   Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,

8. 8

   אַל־תַּקְשׁוּal-tak/SHUdo not hardenלְבַבְכֶםle/vav/KHEMyour heartכִּמְרִיבָהKim/ri/VAas at Meribahכְּיוֹםke/YOMas in the day ofמַסָּהMas/SAMassahבַּמִּדְבָּר׃bam/mid/BARin the wilderness

   Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

   אֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenנִסּוּנִיnis/su/NItested Meאֲבוֹתֵיכֶםa/vo/te/KHEMyour fathersבְּחָנוּנִיbe/cha/NU/niproved Meגַּם־רָאוּgam-ra/Uthough they sawמַעֲשַׂיma/a/SAYmy worksאַרְבָּעִיםar/ba/IMfortyשָׁנָה׃sha/NAyears

   When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.

10. 10

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeאָקוּטa/KUTI loathedבַּדּוֹרbad/DORwith the generationהַהוּאha/HUthatוָאֹמַרva/o/MARand I saidתָּמִידta/MIDalwaysתֹּעֵיto/Eerring inלֵבָבle/VAVheartהֵםhemthey areוְהֵםve/HEMand theyלֹא־יָדְעוּlo-ya/de/Uhave not knownדְרָכָי׃de/ra/KHAYMy ways

    Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.

11. 11

    אֲשֶׁר־נִשְׁבַּעְתִּיa/SHER-nish/BA/tiso I sworeבְאַפִּיve/ap/PIin My wrathאִם־יְבֹאוּןim-ye/vo/UNthey shall not enterאֶל־מְנוּחָתִי׃el-me/nu/cha/TIinto My rest

    So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)

12. 12

    רְאוּre/Useeאֶחָיe/CHAYmy brothersפֶּן־יֵשׁpen-yeshlest there beבְּאֶחָדbe/e/CHADin any oneמִכֶּםmik/KEMof youלֶב־רַעlev-raan evil heartוַחֲסַרva/cha/SARand lackingאֱמוּנָהe/mu/NAfaithלָסוּרla/SURto turn awayמֵאֱלֹהִיםme/e/lo/HIMfrom Godחַיִּים׃chay/YIMthe living

    Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

13. 13

    רַקrakonlyהַזְהִירוּhaz/hi/RUurgeאִישׁisheachאֶת־רֵעֵהוּet-re/E/huhis neighborיוֹםyomdayיוֹםyomby dayכׇּל־עוֹדkol-odas long asיִקָּרֵאyik/ka/REit is calledהַיּוֹםhay/YOMtodayפֶּן־יֶחֱזַקpen-ye/che/ZAKlest be hardenedלֵבlevthe heart ofאִישׁishanyמִכֶּםmik/KEMof youבְּמִרְמַתbe/mir/MATby the deceit ofהַחֵטְא׃ha/CHETsin

    But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

14. 14

    כִּיkiforחֲבֵרִיםcha/ve/RIMpartnersהָיִינוּha/YI/nuwe have becomeלַמָּשִׁיחַlam/Ma/SHI/achof the Messiahאִם־נַחֲזִיקim-na/cha/ZIKif we hold fastבְּרֵאשִׁיתbe/re/SHITin the beginning ofבִּטְחָתֵנוּbit/cha/te/NUour confidenceוְלֹא־נַרְפֶּנָּהve/LO-nar/pen/NAand not let it goעַד־הַקֵּץ׃ad-hak/KETSthe end

    For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end;

15. 15

    כַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhileיֵאָמֵרye/a/MERit is saidהַיּוֹםhay/YOMtodayאִם־בְּקֹלוֹim-be/ko/LOif to His voiceתִשְׁמָעוּtish/MA/uyou will listenאַל־תַּקְשׁוּal-tak/SHUdo not hardenלְבַבְכֶםle/vav/KHEMyour heartכִּמְרִיבָה׃Kim/ri/VAas at Meribah

    While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

    כִּיkiforיֵשׁyeshthere areאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoשָׁמְעוּsha/me/Uthey heardוַיַּמְרוּvay/yam/RUrebelledאַךְakhbutלֹאlonotכׇל־יֹצְאֵיkhol-yots/Eall who came out ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptבְּיַד־מֹשֶׁה׃be/YAD-mo/SHEby the hand of Moses

    For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.

17. 17

    וּבְמִיu/ve/MIand with whomהִתְקוֹטֵטhit/ko/TETdid He loatheאַרְבָּעִיםar/ba/IMfortyשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsהֲלֹאha/LOwas it notבַחֹטְאִיםva/chot/IMwith those who sinnedאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoseנָפְלוּna/fe/LUfellפִגְרֵיהֶםfig/re/HEMtheir corpsesבַּמִּדְבָּר׃bam/mid/BARin the wilderness

    But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?

18. 18

    וּלְמִיu/le/MIand to whomנִשְׁבַּעnish/BAdid He swearלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIthat notבוֹאָםvo/AMtheir enteringאֶל־מְנוּחָתוֹel-me/nu/cha/TOinto His restכִּיkibutאִםimratherלַאֲשֶׁרla/a/SHERto those whoלֹאlonotהֶאֱמִינוּ׃he/e/MI/nubelieved

    And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?

19. 19

    וּבְכֵןu/ve/KHENsoרֹאִיםro/IMseeאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweכִּיkithatלֹא־יָכְלוּlo-ya/khe/LUthey could notלָבוֹאla/VOenterמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofחֶסְרוֹןches/RONthe lack ofאֱמוּנָה׃e/mu/NAfaith

    So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
