   Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also.

   And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.

   אֲבָלa/VALbutגַּםgamneitherטִיטוֹסTi/TOSTitusאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho wasאִתִּיit/TIwith meבִּהְיוֹתוֹbih/yo/TObeingיְוָנִיYe/va/NIa Greekלֹאlonotנֶאֱנַסne/e/NASwas compelledלְהִמּוֹל׃le/him/MOLto be circumcised

   But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised:

   מִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofאֲחֵיa/CHEthe brothers ofהַשֶּׁקֶרhash/SHE/kerfalsehoodהַמִּתְגַּנְּבִיםham/mit/gan/ne/VIMwho sneaked inבְּתוֹכֵנוּbe/to/KHE/nuamong usאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoבָּאוּBA/ucameבַּסֵּתֶרbas/SE/tersecretlyלְרַגֵּלle/rag/GELto spy outאֶת־דְּרוֹרֵנוּet-de/ro/re/NUour libertyאֲשֶׁר־לָנוּa/SHER-LA/nuthat is oursבְּיֵשׁוּעַbe/Ye/SHU/ain Jesusהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahלְמַעַןle/MA/anso asהַעֲבִידֵנוּ׃ha/a/vi/de/NUto enslave us

   And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:

   וַאֲנַחְנוּva/a/NACH/nuand weלֹא־סַרְנוּlo-sar/NUwe did not yieldלְמִשְׁמַעְתָּםle/mish/ma/TAMto their obedienceאַף־לֹאaf-lonot evenרֶגַעRE/gaa momentאֶחָדe/CHADoneלְמַעַןle/MA/ansoאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatתַּעֲמֹדta/a/MODmight remainבְּקִרְבְּכֶםbe/kir/be/KHEMamong youאֱמֶתe/METthe truth ofהַבְּשׂוֹרָה׃hab/be/so/RAthe gospel

   To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.

   וּמִן־הַנֶּחֱשָׁבִיםu/MIN-han/ne/che/sha/VIMand of those who were esteemedלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beמָהmasomethingמַהmawhateverהָיוּha/YUthey wereאַחַתa/CHAToneהִיאhiitלִיlito meהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodפְּנֵיpe/NEthe face ofאִישׁisha manלֹאlonotיִשָּׂאyis/SAliftsכִּיkiforלִיlito meלֹאlonotהוֹסִיפוּho/si/FUaddedהַנֶּחֱשָׁבִיםhan/ne/che/sha/VIMthose who were esteemedמְאוּמָה׃me/U/maanything

   But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no man's person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me:

   אַךְakhbutהֶפֶךְHE/fekhcontraryבִּרְאוֹתָםbir/o/TAMwhen they sawכִּיkithatהׇפְקְדָהhof/ke/DAwas entrustedאִתִּיit/TIwith meבְּשׂוֹרַתbe/so/RATthe gospel ofהָעֲרֵלִיםha/a/re/LIMthe uncircumcisedכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasבְּשׂוֹרַתbe/so/RATthe gospel ofהַמּוּלִיםham/mu/LIMthe circumcisedלְפֶטְרוֹס׃le/Fet/ROSto Peter

   But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;

   כִּיkiforהַפֹּעֵלhap/Po/ELthe One who workedבְּפֶטְרוֹסbe/Fet/ROSin Peterלִשְׁלִיחוּתlish/li/CHUTto the apostleship ofהַמּוּלִיםham/mu/LIMthe circumcisedהוּאhuheפָּעַלpa/ALHe workedגַּם־בִּיgam-bialso in meאֶל־הַגּוֹיִם׃el-Hag/go/YIMto the Gentiles

   (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)

   וְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERand whenהִכִּירוּhik/KI/rurecognizedיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJamesוְכֵיפָאve/Khe/FAand Cephasוְיוֹחָנָןve/Yo/cha/NANand Johnהַנֶּחֱשָׁבִיםhan/ne/che/sha/VIMwho were esteemedכְּעַמּוּדִיםke/am/mu/DIMas pillarsאֶת־הַחֶסֶדet-ha/CHE/sedthe graceהַנִּתָּןhan/nit/TANthat was givenלִיlito meנָתְנוּna/te/NUthey gaveלִיlito meוּלְבַר־נַבָּאu/Le/VAR-nab/BAand to Barnabasאֶת־יְמִינָםet-ye/mi/NAMtheir right handsלְחֶבְרָהle/chev/RAfor fellowshipלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatנֵלֵךְne/LEKHwe would goאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweאֶל־הַגּוֹיִםel-Hag/go/YIMto the Gentilesוְהֵמָּהve/HEM/maand theyאֶל־הַמּוּלִים׃el-ham/mu/LIMto the circumcised

   And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.

    רַקrakonlyחָפְצוּcha/fe/TSUthey wantedכִּיkithatנִזְכֹּרniz/KORwe rememberאֶת־הָאֶבְיוֹנִיםet-ha/ev/yo/NIMthe poorוְהוּאve/HUand it wasהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe thingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatגַּם־אֲנִיgam-a/NII alsoהָיִיתִיha/YI/tiwasחָרוּץcha/RUTSeagerלַעֲשׂוֹת׃la/a/SOTto do

    Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do.

11. 11

    וְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERand whenבָּאbacameפֶטְרוֹסFet/ROSPeterלְאַנְטְיוֹכְיָאle/An/te/yokh/YAto Antiochעָמַדְתִּיa/MAD/tiI stoodלְנֶגְדּוֹle/neg/DObefore himאֶל־פָּנָיוel-pa/NAYVto his faceכִּיkibecauseנִמְצָאnim/TSAwas foundבוֹvoin himעָוֶל׃A/velwrong

    But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.

12. 12

    כִּיkiforלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeבוֹאvothe coming ofאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenמֵאֵתme/ETfromיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJamesאָכַלa/KHALhe ateעִם־הַגּוֹיִםim-Hag/go/YIMwith the Gentilesוּכְבֹאָםu/khe/vo/AMand when they cameוַיָּסַרvay/YA/sarhe withdrewוַיִּבָּדֵלvay/yib/ba/DELand separated himselfבְּיִרְאָתוֹbe/yir/a/TOin his fearמִבְּנֵיmib/be/NEfrom the sons ofהַמִּילָה׃ham/mi/LAthe circumcision

    For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision.

13. 13

    וַיְכַחֲשׁוּvay/kha/cha/SHUand acted falselyעִמּוֹim/MOwith himגַּםgamalsoשְׁאָרshe/ARa remnantהַיְּהוּדִיםhay/Ye/hu/DIMthe Jewsעַדaduntilכִּי־נִדַּחki-nid/DACHthat was led astrayגַּם־בַּר־נַבָּאgam-bar-Nab/BAeven Barnabasבַּחֲנֻפָּתָם׃ba/cha/nup/pa/TAMin their hypocrisy

    And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation.

14. 14

    וּבִרְאוֹתִיu/vir/o/TIand when I sawכִּיkithatלֹאlonotהָלְכוּha/le/KHUwalkedבַּתֹּםbat/TOMin integrityכְּפִיke/FIaccording toאֱמֶתe/METthe truth ofהַבְּשׂוֹרָהhab/be/so/RAthe gospelאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tiI saidאֶל־פֶּטְרוֹסel-Pet/ROSto Peterלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeכֻלָּםkhul/LAMall of themאִם־אַתָּהim-at/TAif youבִּהְיוֹתְךָbih/yot/KHAwhen you areיְהוּדִיYe/hu/DIa Jewחַיchayliveכְּמִשְׁפַּטke/mish/PATaccording to the custom ofהַגּוֹיִםhag/Go/YIMthe Gentilesוְלֹאve/LOand notכַּיְּהוּדִיםkay/Ye/hu/DIMlike the Jewsמַדּוּעַmad/DU/awhyתֶּאֱנֹסte/e/NOSyou compelאֶת־הַגּוֹיִםet-Hag/go/YIMthe Gentilesלִחְיוֹתlich/YOTto liveכַּיְּהוּדִים׃kay/Ye/hu/DIMlike the Jews

    But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?

15. 15

    הֵןhenindeedמִזֶּרַעmiz/ZE/raof the seed ofהַיְּהוּדִיםhay/Ye/hu/DIMthe Jewsאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuwe areוְלֹאve/LOand notחַטָּאִיםchat/ta/IMsinnersמִן־הַגּוֹיִם׃min-Hag/go/YIMfrom the Gentiles

    We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,

16. 16

    וְיֹדְעִיםve/yod/IMknowingאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweכִּיkithatלֹאlonotיִצְדַּקyits/DAKis justifiedאָדָםa/DAMa manמִמַּעֲשֵׂיmim/ma/a/SEby the works ofהַתּוֹרָהhat/to/RAthe lawכִּיkibutאִם־בֶּאֱמוּנַתim-be/e/mu/NATrather by the faith ofיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahגַּם־אֲנַחְנוּgam-a/NACH/nuwe alsoהֶאֱמַנּוּhe/e/man/NUbelievedבְּיֵשׁוּעַbe/Ye/SHU/ain Jesusהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatנִצְדַּקnits/DAKwe might be justifiedבֶּאֱמוּנַתbe/e/mu/NATby the faith ofהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahוְלֹאve/LOand notמִמַּעֲשֵׂיmim/ma/a/SEby the works ofהַתּוֹרָהhat/to/RAthe lawכִּיkiforמִמַּעֲשֵׂיmim/ma/a/SEby the works ofהַתּוֹרָהhat/to/RAthe lawלֹאlonotיִצְדַּקyits/DAKwill be justifiedכׇּל־בָּשָׂר׃kol-ba/SARany flesh

    Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

17. 17

    וְאִםve/IMand ifבְּבַקְשֵׁנוּbe/vak/she/NUin our seekingלְהִצָּדֵקle/hits/tsa/DEKto be justifiedבַּמָּשִׁיחַbam/Ma/SHI/achin the Messiahנִמְצָאnim/TSAwas foundגַם־אֲנַחְנוּgam-a/NACH/nuwe alsoחַטָּאִיםchat/ta/IMsinnersהַאִםha/IMis it thatאֵפוֹאe/FOthenהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahמְשָׁרֵתme/sha/RETa minister ofהַחֵטְאha/CHETsinחָלִילָה׃cha/LI/lafar be it

    But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.

18. 18

    כִּיkiforאִם־אָשׁוּבim-a/SHUVif I returnוְאֶבְנֶהve/ev/NEand buildאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhatהָרַסְתִּיha/ras/TII tore downאָשִׂיםa/SIMI makeאֶת־נַפְשִׁיet-naf/SHImyselfלְפֹשֵׁעַ׃le/fo/SHE/aa transgressor

    For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.

19. 19

    כִּי־מַתִּיki-mat/TIfor I diedאֲנִיa/NIIלַתּוֹרָהlat/to/RAto the lawעַל־יְדֵיal-ye/DEthroughהַתּוֹרָהhat/to/RAthe lawלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatאֶחְיֶהech/YEI might liveלֵאלֹהִים׃le/lo/HIMto God

    For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.

20. 20

    עִם־הַמָּשִׁיחַim-Ham/ma/SHI/achwith the Messiahנִצְלַבְתִּיnits/lav/TII was crucifiedאַךְakhbutחַיchaylivesאָנִיA/niIלֹאlonotאֲנִיa/NIIכִּיkibutאִם־הַמָּשִׁיחַim-Ham/ma/SHI/achrather the Messiahחַיchaylivesבְּקִרְבִּיbe/kir/BIwithin meוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand whatאֲנִיa/NIIחַיchayliveעַתָּהat/TAnowבַּבָּשָׂרbab/ba/SARin the fleshחַיchayliveאֲנִיa/NIIבֶּאֱמוּנַתbe/e/mu/NATby the faith ofבֶּן־הָאֱלֹהִיםben-Ha/e/lo/HIMthe Son of Godאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoאֲהָבַנִיa/ha/va/NIloved meוַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand gaveאֶת־נַפְשׁוֹet-naf/SHOhis lifeבַּעֲדִי׃ba/a/DIfor me

    I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

21. 21

    לֹאlonotאָפֵרa/FERI annulאֶת־חֶסֶדet-CHE/sedthe grace ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodכִּיkiforאִלּוּil/LUifיֵשׁyeshthere isצְדָקָהtse/da/KArighteousnessעַל־יְדֵיal-ye/DEthroughהַתּוֹרָהhat/to/RAthe lawאָזazthenלָרִיקla/RIKin vainמֵתmetdiedהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃ham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiah

    I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
