    עַל־כֵּןthereforeאַזְהִירְכֶםI-beseech-youאֲנִיIהָאָסוּרthe-prisonerבָּאָדוֹןin-the-Lordלְהִתְהַלֵּךְto-walkכַּאֲשֶׁרworthy-asיָאֲתָהis-fittingלְמִשְׁמַרְתְּכֶםof-your-callingאֲשֶׁרwhichנִקְרֵאתֶםyou-are-calledלָהּ׃thereunto

    I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

    בְּכׇל־נְמִיכוּתwith-all-lowlinessוַעֲנָוָהand-humilityוּבְאֹרֶךְand-with-patienceרוּחַthe-spirit-ofלָשֵׂאתto-bearאִישׁa-manאֶת־רֵעֵהוּhis-fellowבְּאַהֲבָה׃in-love

    With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

    וְשִׁקְדוּand-endeavorלִשְׁמֹרto-keepאֶת־אַחֲדוּתthe-unity-ofהָרוּחַthe-Spiritבַּאֲגֻדַּתin-the-bond-ofהַשָּׁלוֹם׃the-peace

    Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

    גּוּףbody-ofאֶחָדoneוְרוּחַand-Spiritאֶחָדoneכַּאֲשֶׁרeven-asגַּם־נִקְרֵאתֶםalso-you-are-calledבְּתִקְוַתin-a-hope-ofמִשְׁמַרְתְּכֶםyour-callingהָאֶחָת׃the-one

    There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

    אָדוֹןLordאֶחָדoneאֱמוּנָהfaithאַחַתoneטְבִילָהbaptismאֶחָת׃one

    One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

  6. 6

    אֵלGodוְאָבand-Fatherאֶחָדoneלַכֹּלof-allשֶׁהוּאwho-isעַל־כֹּלupon-allוְאֶת־כֹּלand-through-allוּבְתוֹךְand-withinכֹּל׃all

    One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

    אֲבָלbutלְכׇל־אֶחָדto-each-oneוְאֶחָדand-oneמִמֶּנּוּfrom-himנִתַּןwas-givenהֶחָסֶדgraceכְּמִדַּתas-measure-ofמַתְּנַתgift-ofהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃the-Messiah

    But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

    עַל־כֵּןthereforeהוּאheאוֹמֵרsaithעָלָהascendedלַמָּרוֹםon-the-highשָׁבָהHe-led-captiveשֶׁבִיcaptivityוַיִּתֵּןand-gaveמַתָּנוֹתgiftsלָאָדָם׃for-man

    Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

    וְעָלָהand-that-he-ascendedשֶׁאָמַרthat-saidמַה־הוּאwhat-is-itאִם־לֹאif-notשֶׁיָּרַדthat-he-descendedמִקֹּדֶםfirstלְתַחְתִּיּוֹתto-the lower parts ofאָרֶץ׃the-earth

    (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

    הוּאheהַיֹּרֵדthat-descendedוְהוּאand-heהָעֹלֶהthat-ascendedלְמַעְלָהupwardמִכׇּל־הַשָּׁמָיִםabove-all-the-heavensלְמַעַןin-order-thatיְמַלֵּאshould-fillאֶת־הַכֹּל׃all

    He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

    וְהוּאand-heנָתַןgaveאֶת־אֵלֶּהtheseשְׁלִיחִיםapostlesוְאֶת־אֵלֶּהand-theseנְבִיאִיםprophetsוְאֶת־אֵלֶּהand-theseמְבַשְׂרִיםevangelistsוְאֶת־אֵלֶּהand-theseרֹעִיםpastorsוּמְלַמְּדִים׃and-teachers

    And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

    לְהַשְׁלִיםfor-the-perfecting-ofאֶת־הַקְּדוֹשִׁיםthe-saintsלְמַעֲשֵׂהunto-the-work-ofהָעֲבוֹדָהthe-ministryלְבִנְיַןto-the-building-ofגּוּףbody-ofהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃the-Messiah

    For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

  13. 13

    עַדuntilכִּי־נַגִּיעַthat-we-attainכֻּלָּנוּus-allלְאַחֲדוּתunto-the-unity-ofהָאֱמוּנָהthe-faithוְדַעַתand-knowledgeבֶּן־הָאֱלֹהִיםSon-of-Godכְּאִישׁas-a-manאֶחָדoneשָׁלֵםperfectלְשִׁעוּרto-the-measure-ofקוֹמַתthe height ofמְלוֹאthe-fullness-ofהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃the-Messiah

    Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

    וְלֹא־נִהְיֶהand-not-let-us-beעוֹדany-moreיְלָדִיםlittle-childrenנִגְרָשִׁיםtossed-aboutוְנִדָּפִיםand-drivenבְּכׇל־רוּחַwith-every-wind-ofהַלִּמּוּדdoctrineבְּתַרְמִיתin-the deceitfulness ofבְּנֵיthe-sons-ofאָדָםmanוּמֹקְשׁוֹתָםand-the snares of-theirאֲשֶׁרwhichשָׁתוּthey-setלְהַתְעוֹת׃to-deceive

    That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

    כִּיbecauseאִם־נְדַבֵּרbut-speakingהָאֱמֶתthe-truthבְּאַהֲבָהin-loveוְנִגְדְּלָהmay-grow-upבְכׇל־דָּבָרin-all-thingsלוֹhimלַמָּשִׁיחַunto-the-Messiahאֲשֶׁרwhichהוּאheהָרֹאשׁ׃the-head

    But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

    אֲשֶׁרwhichמִמֶּנּוּfrom-himכׇּל־הַגּוּףall-the-bodyהַמֻּרְכָּבthe-fitly-joinedוּמְדֻבָּקand-compactedבְּכׇל־חִבּוּרby-every-jointהַשִּׁמּוּשׁof-supplyכְּמִדַּתas-measure-ofהַכֹּחַthe-powerהַנָּתוּןthe-givenלְכׇל־אֵבָרto-every-memberוְאֵבָרand-limbיִרְבֶּהincreasethוְיִגְדַּלand-growethלְהַשְׁלָמַתfor-the-building-up-ofבִּנְיָנוֹof-itselfבְּאַהֲבָה׃in-love

    From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

    וְהִנֵּהand-beholdזֹאתthisאֲנִיIאֹמֵרsayוּמֵעִידand-testifyingבָּאָדוֹןin-the-Lordכִּיbecauseמֵעַתָּהfrom-this-timeלֹא־תֵלְכוּwalk-notעוֹדany-moreכְּיֶתֶרas-the-rest-ofהַגּוֹיִםthe-nationsהַהֹלְכִיםthe-ones-walkingבְּהַבְלֵיin-the-vanity-ofשִׂכְלָם׃their-mind

    This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

  18. 18

    חֲשֻׁכֵיdarkened-inהַדַּעַתunderstandingוּמוּזָרִיםand-alienatedלְחַיֵּיto-life-ofאֱלֹהִיםGodמִפְּנֵיbecause-ofאִוַּלְתָּםtheir-ignoranceאֲשֶׁרwhichבָּהֶםin-themכִּי־טַחbecause-it-is-shutמֵהַשְׂכִּילfrom-understandingלְבָבָם׃their-hearts

    Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

  19. 19

    אֲשֶׁרwhichהִשְׁמִינוּpast-feelingוַיִּתְּנוּand-they-gaveאֶת־נַפְשָׁםtheir-soulsלַזִּמָּהto-the-licentiousnessלַעֲשׂוֹתto-doכׇּל־תּוֹעֵבָהall-abominationלִבְצֹעַto-gainבָּצַע׃unjust gain

    Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

  20. 20

    וְאַתֶּםbut-youלֹאnotכֵןsoלְמַדְתֶּםhave-learnedאֶת־הַמָּשִׁיחַ׃the-Messiah

    But ye have not so learned Christ;

  21. 21

    אִם־אׇמְנָםif-trulyשְׁמַעְתֶּםyou-have-heardאֹתוֹhimוּבוֹand-in-Himלֻמַּדְתֶּםhave-been-taughtכְּפִיaccording-toהָאֱמֶתthe-truthאֲשֶׁרwhichבְּיֵשׁוּעַ׃in-Jesus

    If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

  22. 22

    לָסוּרto-put-awayמִדַּרְכֵיכֶםfrom-your-waysהָרִאשֹׁנִיםthe-formerוְלִפְשֹׁטand-to-stripאֶת־הָאָדָםthe-manהַיָּשָׁןthe-oldהַנִּשְׁחָתwhich-is-corruptבְּתַאֲוֹתin-the-desires-ofרְמִיָּה׃deceit

    That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

  23. 23

    לְהִתְחַדֵּשׁand-be-renewedבְּרוּחַin-the-spirit-ofשִׂכְלְכֶם׃your-understanding

    And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

  24. 24

    וְלִלְבּשׁand-put-onאֶת־הָאָדָםthe-manהֶחָדָשׁnewהַנִּבְרָאwhich-is-createdכִּדְמוּתin-the-likeness-ofאֱלֹהִיםGodבִּצְדָקָהin-righteousnessוּקְדֻשַּׁתand-holiness-ofהָאֱמֶת׃the-truth

    And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

  25. 25

    עַל־כֵּןthereforeהָסִירוּput-awayמִכֶּםfrom-youאֶת־הַשֶּׁקֶרthe-falsehoodוְדַבְּרוּand-speakאֱמֶתtruthאִישׁa-manאֶת־רֵעֵהוּhis-fellowכִּיbecauseאֵבָרִיםmembersאֲנַחְנוּweאִישׁa-manלְאָחִיו׃of-his-brother

    Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

  26. 26

    רִגְזוּbe-angryוְאַל־תֶּחֱטָאוּand-do-not-you sinוְלֹאand-notתָבֹאgo-downהַשֶּׁמֶשׁthe-sunעַל־רׇגְזְכֶם׃in-your-anger

    Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

  27. 27

    וְאַל־תִּתְּנוּneither-giveמָקוֹםa-placeלַשָׂטָן׃to-the-devil

    Neither give place to the devil.

  28. 28

    מִיwhoשֶׁגָּנַבwho-stoleאַל־יֹסֶףlet-him-no-moreלִגְנֹבstealכִּיbecauseאִם־יִיגַעbut-let-him-laborוּבְיָדָיוand-by-hands-hisיַעֲשֶׂהhe-shall-doאֶת־הַטּוֹבthe-thing-which-is-goodלְמַעַןin-order-thatיִהְיֶה־לּוֹhe-may-haveלָתֵתto-giveלְאִישׁto-himמַחְסוֹר׃in-need

    Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

  29. 29

    וְלֹא־יֵצֵאlet-not-proceedמִפִּיכֶםfrom-mouth-yourכׇּל־דְּבַרall-word-ofנִבּוּלcorrupt-speechכִּיbecauseאִם־הַטּוֹבbut-that-which-is-goodוְהַמּוֹעִילand-the-which-is-expedientלִבְנוֹתto-build-upלְפִיaccording-toהַצֹּרֶךְthe-needלְמַעַןin-order-thatיִתֵּןmay-ministerחֵןgraceלְשֹׁמְעָיו׃to-the-hearers

    Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

  30. 30

    וְלֹאand-notתְעַצְּבוּgrieveאֶת־רוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁthe-Holy-Spiritשֶׁל־אֱלֹהִיםof-Godאֲשֶׁרwhichנֶחְתַּמְתֶּםyou-were-sealedבּוֹin-himלְיוֹםto-dayהַגְּאֻלָּה׃the-redemption

    And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

  31. 31

    כׇּל־מְרִירוּתall-bitternessוְחֵמָהand-wrathוָרֹגֶזand-angerוּצְעָקָהand-clamorוְגִדּוּףand-evil-speakingתָּסִירוּlet-be-put-awayמִכֶּםfrom-youעִםwithכׇּל־הָרִשְׁעָה׃all-malice

    Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

  32. 32

    וִהְיוּand-beטוֹבִיםgoodאִישׁa-manלְרֵעֵהוּto-his-fellowוְרַחֲמָנִיםand-mercifulוְנֹשְׂאִיםand-forbearingאִישׁa-manלְחַטַּאתthe-trespass-ofאָחִיוhis-brotherכַּאֲשֶׁרeven-asנָשָׂאforgaveלָכֶםto-youהָאֱלֹהִיםthe-Godבַּמָּשִׁיחַ׃in-the-Messiah

    And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
