    וּפֶטְרוֹסNow Peterוְיוֹחָנָןand Johnהָיוּwereעֹלִיםgoing upיַחְדָּוtogetherאֶל־הַמִּקְדָּשׁinto the templeלִתְפִלַּתat the prayer ofהַמִּנְחָהthe offering,בַּשָּׁעָהat the hourהַתְּשִׁיעִית׃ninth.

    Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

    וְאִישׁAnd a manאֶחָדcertainפִּסֵּחַlameמִבֶּטֶןfrom the womb ofאִמּוֹhis motherהוּבָאwas carried,שָׁמָּהthitherאֲשֶׁרwhomהוֹשִׁיבֻהוּthey laidיוֹםdayיוֹםby dayלִפְנֵיbeforeשַׁעַרthe gate ofהַמִּקְדָּשׁthe templeהַנִּקְרָאwhich is calledשַׁעַרthe gateהַמְהֻדָּרBeautiful,לִשְׁאֹלto askמַתָּנוֹתalmsמֵאֵתofבָּאֵיthem that enteredהַמִּקְדָּשׁ׃the temple;

    And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

    וַיְהִיAnd it came to passכִּרְאֹתוֹwhen he sawאֶת־פֶּטְרוֹסPeterוְאֶת־יוֹחָנָןand Johnבָּאִיםabout to goאֶל־הַמִּקְדָּשׁinto the temple,וַיְבַקֵּשׁand askedמֵאִתָּםof themצְדָקָה׃an alms.

    Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

    וַיִּסְתַּכֶּל־בּוֹAnd fastening his eyes upon himפֶּטְרוֹסPeter,וְגַם־יוֹחָנָןwith John,וַיֹּאמֶרsaid,אֵלָיוunto him,הַבִּיטָהLookאֵלֵינוּ׃on us.

    And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

    וַיָּשֶׂםAnd he setפָּנָיוhis faceאֲלֵיהֶםupon them,וַיְקַוexpectingלָקַחַתto receiveמֵאִתָּםof themמַתָּנָה׃a gift.

    And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

  6. 6

    וַיֹּאמֶרThen saidפֶּטְרוֹסPeter,כֶּסֶףSilverוְזָהָבand goldאֵין־לִיhave I none;וַאֲשֶׁרbut that whichבְּיָדִיis in my hand,אֹתוֹitאֶתְּנֶנּוּI giveלָךְyou:בְּשֵׁם־יֵשׁוּעַIn the name of JesusהַמָּשִׁיחַChristהַנָּצְרִיof Nazarethקוּםrise upהִתְהַלֵּךְ׃and walk.

    Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

    וַיֹּאחֶזAnd he took himבְּיַדby the handיְמִינוֹright,וַיְקִימֵהוּand lifted him up:וַיֶּחֶזְקוּand received strengthפִתְאֹםimmediatelyרַגְלָיוhis feetוְקַרְסֻלָּיו׃and ankle bones.

    And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

    וַיָּקׇםAnd he stood upעַלuponרַגְלָיוhis feet,וַיְהַלֵּךְand walked,וַיָּבֹאand enteredאִתָּםwith themאֶל־הַמִּקְדָּשׁinto the temple,וְהוּאand heמִתְהַלֵּךְwalking,וּמְדַלֵּגand leaping,וּמְשַׁבֵּחַand praisingאֶת־הָאֱלֹהִים׃God.

    And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

    וַיִּרְאֵהוּAnd saw himכׇּל־הָעָםall the peopleמִתְהַלֵּךְwalkingוּמְשַׁבֵּחַand praisingאֶת־הָאֱלֹהִים׃God:

    And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

  10. 10

    וַיַּכִּירוּAnd they knewאוֹתוֹhim,כִּיthatהוּאhe wasהַיּשֵׁבthe one who satלִשְׁאֹלto askצְדָקָהalmsבְּשַׁעַרat the gate ofהַמִּקְדָּשׁthe templeהַמְהֻדָּרBeautiful:וַיִּמָּלְאוּand they were filledשַׁמָּהwith wonderוְתִמָּהוֹןand amazementעַלatהַנַּעֲשָׂהthat which had happenedלוֹ׃unto him.

    And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

  11. 11

    וַיְהִיAnd asהוּאheמַחֲזִיקheldבְּפֶטְרוֹסPeterוּבְיוֹחָנָןand John,וַיָּרׇץranאֲלֵיהֶםunto themכׇּל־הָעָםall the peopleאֶל־הָאוּלָםinto the porchהַנִּקְרָאcalledאוּלָםthe porchשֶׁל־שְׁלֹמֹהof Solomon,וַיִּשְׁתּוֹמֵמוּ׃greatly wondering.

    And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering.

    וַיַּרְאAnd when saw itפֶּטְרוֹסPeter,וַיַּעַןhe answeredוַיֹּאמֶרand saidאֶל־הָעָםunto the people,אַנְשֵׁיYou men ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsrael,מָהwhyאַתֶּםyouתְּמֵהִיםmarvelעַל־הַדָּבָרat the thingהַזֶּהthis?וּמַה־תִּסְתַּכְּלוּor why look you so earnestlyבָנוּon us,כְּאִלּוּas thoughבְּכֹחֵנוּby our own powerוּבַחֲסִידוּתֵנוּor holinessהוּאheמְהַלֵּךְ׃walketh?

    And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

    אֱלֹהֵיThe God ofאַבְרָהָםAbraham,אֱלֹהֵיthe God ofיִצְחָקIsaac,וֵאלֹהֵיand the God ofיַעֲקֹבJacob,אֱלֹהֵיthe God ofאֲבוֹתֵינוּour fathers,הוּאheפֵּאֵרhath glorifiedאֶת־עַבְדּוֹhis SonיֵשׁוּעַJesus;אֲשֶׁרwhomאַתֶּםyouמְסַרְתֶּםdelivered up,וְכִחַשְׁתֶּםand deniedבּוֹhimבִּפְנֵיin the presence ofפִילָטוֹסPilate,כְּשֶׁהָיָהwhen he wasדָןdeterminedלְפָטְרוֹ׃to let him go.

    The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

  14. 14

    אֲבָלButאַתֶּםyouכִּחַשְׁתֶּםdeniedבַּקָּדוֹשׁthe Holy Oneוּבַצַּדִּיקand the Just,וּשְׁאֶלְתֶּםand desiredכִּי־יִנָּתֵןthat should be grantedלָכֶםunto you,אִישׁa manרֹצֵחַa murdererבְּבַקָּשַׁתְכֶם׃in your request;

    But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

  15. 15

    וְאֶת־שַׂרAnd the Prince ofהַחַיִּיםlifeהֲמִתֶּםyou killed,אֲשֶׁרwhomהָאֱלֹהִיםGodהֵקִיםhath raisedמִן־הַמֵּתִיםfrom the dead;וַאֲנַחְנוּwhereof weעֵדָיו׃are his witnesses.

    And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

  16. 16

    וְעַלAndאֱמוּנַתthrough faith inשְׁמוֹhis nameחִזַּקhath made strongשְׁמוֹhis nameאֶת־הָאִישׁthe manהַזֶּהthis,אֲשֶׁרwhomאַתֶּםyouרֹאִיםseeוּמַכִּירִיםand know:וְהָאֱמוּנָהyea, the faithעַל־יָדוֹwhich is by himהֶעֶלְתָה־לּוֹhath given himאֶת־הָאֲרֻכָהperfect soundnessהַזֹּאתthisלְעֵינֵיin the eyes ofכֻלְּכֶם׃you all.

    And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

  17. 17

    וְעַתָּהAnd now,אַחַיbrethren,יֹדֵעַknowאֲנִיIכִּיthatבִבְלִי־דַעַתthrough ignoranceעֲשִׂיתֶםyou did,גַּם־אַתֶּםyou did it,גַּם־רָאשֵׁיכֶם׃as did also your rulers.

    And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.

  18. 18

    וְהָאֱלֹהִיםBut Godכָּכָהthusמִלֵּאhath fulfilled,אֵת־אֲשֶׁרwhichהִגִּידhe had shewedמִקֶּדֶםbeforeבְּפִיby the mouth ofכׇל־נְבִיאָיוall his prophets,כִּיthatיְעֻנֶּהshould sufferהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃Christ.

    But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.

  19. 19

    לָכֵןThereforeהִנָּחֲמוּrepent youוְשׁוּבוּand be converted,וְיִמָּחוּthat may be blotted outחֲטָאֵיכֶםyour sins,לְמַעַןWhenאֲשֶׁר־יָבֹאוּshall comeיְמֵיthe times ofרְוָחָהrefreshingמִלִּפְנֵיfrom the presence ofיְהוָֹה׃the LORD;

    Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

  20. 20

    וְיִשְׁלַחand he shall sendאֶת־אֲשֶׁרhim whomיְעָדוֹappointed forלָכֶםyouמִקֶּדֶםbefore,אֶת־יֵשׁוּעַeven Jesusהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃Christ:

    And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

  21. 21

    אֲשֶׁרWhomצָרִיךְmustשֶׁיְּקַבְּלוּreceiveאֹתוֹhim,הַשָּׁמַיִםthe heavensעַד־יְמֵיuntil the times ofשׁוּבrestitution ofכׇּל־הַדְּבָרִיםall things,לְתִקּוּנָםto their restoration,כַּאֲשֶׁרwhichדִּבֶּרhath spokenהָאֱלֹהִיםGodבְּפִי־נְבִיאָיוby the mouth of his prophetsהַקְּדוֹשִׁיםholyמִימֵיsinceעוֹלָם׃the world began.

    Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

  22. 22

    הֵןFor verilyמשֶׁהMosesאָמַרtruly saidאֶל־אֲבוֹתֵינוּunto the fathers,נָבִיאA prophetיָקִיםshall raise upלָכֶםunto youיְהוָֹהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםyour Godמִקֶּרֶבofאֲחֵיכֶםyour brethren,כָּמֹנִיlike unto me;אֵלָיוunto himתִּשְׁמָעוּןshall you hearkenכְּכֹלin all thingsאֲשֶׁרwhatsoeverיְדַבֵּרhe shall sayאֲלֵיכֶם׃unto you.

    For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.

  23. 23

    וְהָיָהAnd it shall come to pass,כׇּל־הַנֶּפֶשׁevery soulאֲשֶׁרwhichלֹאwill notתִשְׁמַעhearאֶל־הַנָּבִיאthe prophetהַהוּאthat,וְנִכְרְתָהshall be cut offמֵעַמֶּיהָ׃from among the people.

    And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

  24. 24

    וְגַםYea, andכׇּל־הַנְּבִיאִיםall the prophetsמִשְּׁמוּאֵלfrom Samuelוַאֲשֶׁרand those thatנִבְּאוּhave prophesiedאַחֲרָיוafter him,כֻּלָּםall of themהִגִּידוּhave likewise foretoldמֵרֹאשׁfrom of oldאֶת־הַיָּמִיםof daysהָאֵלֶּה׃these.

    Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

  25. 25

    אַתֶּםYou areבְּנֵיthe children ofהַנְּבִיאִיםthe prophets,וּבְנֵיand of the children ofהַבְּרִיתthe covenantאֲשֶׁרwhichכָּרַתmadeהָאֱלֹהִיםGodעִם־אֲבוֹתֵינוּwith our fathers,בְּאׇמְרוֹsayingאֶל־אַבְרָהָםunto Abraham,וְנִבְרְכוּAnd shall be blessedבְזַרְעֲךָin your seedכֹּלallמִשְׁפְּחוֹתthe kindreds ofהָאֲדָמָה׃the earth.

    Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

  26. 26

    לָכֶםUnto youבָּרִאשׁוֹנָהfirstהֶעֱמִידhaving raised upהָאֱלֹהִיםGodאֶת־עַבְדּוֹhis SonיֵשׁוּעַJesus,וַיִּשְׁלָחֵהוּsent himלְבָרֵךto blessאֶתְכֶםyou,בְּשׁוּבְכֶםin turning awayאִישׁevery one of youמֵרֹעַfromמַעַלְלֵיכֶם׃his iniquities.

    Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
