   וּבְיוֹםu/ve/YOMand on the dayמְלֹאתme/LOTof the fulfilling ofשִׁבְעַתshiv/ATthe sevenהַשָּׁבֻעוֹתhash/sha/vu/OTweeksנֶאֶסְפוּne/es/FUwere gatheredכֻלָּםkhul/LAMallלֵבlevwith a heartאֶחָדe/CHADoneבְּמָקוֹםbe/ma/KOMin a placeאֶחָד׃e/CHADone

   And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

   And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

   And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

   And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

   וּבִירוּשָׁלַיִםu/Vi/ru/sha/LA/yimand in Jerusalemשָׁכְנוּsha/khe/NUwere dwellingיְהוּדִיםYe/hu/DIMJewsיִרְאֵיyir/Ewho fearedאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodמִבֵּיןmib/BENfrom amongכׇּל־גּוֹיkol-goyevery nationאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isתַּחַתTA/chatunderכׇּלkolallהַשָּׁמָיִם׃hash/sha/MA/yimthe heavens

   And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passבִּהְיוֹתbih/YOTwhen there wasקוֹלkolthe soundהָרַעַשׁha/RA/ashof the rushingהַהוּאha/HUthatוַיִּקָּבְצוּvay/yik/ka/ve/TSUand gatheredעַם־רָבam-ravmany peopleוַיִּהְיוּvay/yih/YUand they wereנְבֻכִיםne/vu/KHIMperplexedכִּיkiforכׇל־אִישׁkhol-ishevery manשֹׁמֵעַsho/ME/awas hearingאֹתָםo/TAMthemמְדַבְּרִיםme/dab/be/RIMspeakingכִּשְׂפַתkis/FATlike the language ofאַרְצוֹ׃ar/TSOhis own land

   Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

   וַיִּשְׁתּוֹמֲמוּvay/yish/to/ma/MUand they were astonishedוַיִּתְמְהוּvay/yit/me/HUand marveledוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאִישׁisheach manאֶל־רֵעֵהוּel-re/E/huto his neighborהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהַמְדַבְּרִיםham/dab/be/RIMwho are speakingהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseהֲלֹאha/LOare notכֻלָּםkhul/LAMall of themבְּנֵיbe/NEsons ofהַגָּלִילHag/ga/LILGalileeהֵמָּה׃HEM/mathey

   And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilæans?

   וְאֵיךְve/EKHand howשֹׁמְעִיםshom/IMare hearingאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweאֹתָםo/TAMthemאִישׁisheach manכִּשְׂפַת־אֶרֶץkis/FAT-E/retsin the language of the land ofמוֹלַדְתֵּנוּ׃mo/lad/TE/nuour birth

   And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

   Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judæa, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,

    פְּרוּגְיָאPe/rug/YAPhrygiaוּפַמְפּוּלְיָאu/Fam/pul/YAand PamphyliaמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוְחֶבֶלve/CHE/veland the region ofלוּבLuvLibyaאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isעַל־יַדal-yadnearקוּרִינִיKu/ri/NICyreneוְהַבָּאִיםve/hab/ba/IMand those who cameמֵרוֹמִיme/Ro/MIfrom RomeיְהוּדִיםYe/hu/DIMJewsוְגֵרִים׃ve/ge/RIMand proselytes

    Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,

    כְּרֵתִיםKe/re/TIMCretesוְעַרְבִיםve/Ar/VIMand Arabiansהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweשֹׁמְעִיםshom/IMare hearingאֹתָםo/TAMthemמְסַפְּרִיםme/sap/pe/RIMdeclaringבִּלְשֹׁנוֹתֵינוּbil/sho/no/te/NUin our languagesגְּדֻלּוֹתge/dul/LOTthe great things ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

    Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

    וַיִּתְמְהוּvay/yit/me/HUand they marveledכֻלָּםkhul/LAMall of themוַיִּהְיוּvay/yih/YUand they wereנְבֻכִיםne/vu/KHIMperplexedוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאִישׁisheach manאֶל־אָחִיוel-a/CHIVto his brotherמַה־זֹּאת׃ma-zotwhat is this

    And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?

    וַאֲחֵרִיםva/a/che/RIMand othersלָעֲגוּla/a/GUmockedוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidכִּי־מְלֵאֵיki-me/le/Ethat full ofעָסִיסa/SISsweet wineהֵמָּה׃HEM/maare they

    Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.

    אָזazthenיַעֲמֹדya/a/MODstoodפֶּטְרוֹסPet/ROSPeterוְעַשְׁתֵּי־הֶעָשָׂרve/ash/TE-he/a/SARand the elevenעִמּוֹim/MOwith himוַיִּשָּׂאvay/yis/SAand liftedאֶת־קוֹלוֹet-ko/LOhis voiceוַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingאַנְשֵׁיan/SHEmen ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudaeaוְיֹשְׁבֵיve/yosh/VEand inhabitants ofיְרוּשָׁלַיִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemכֻּלָּםkul/LAMall of youזֹאתzotthisיָדֹעַya/DO/aknowתֵּדְעוּted/Uyou shall knowוְהַאֲזִינוּve/ha/a/ZI/nuand give earאֶל־דְּבָרָי׃el-de/va/RAYto my words

    But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judæa, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

15. 15

    כִּיkiforהָאֲנָשִׁיםha/a/na/SHIMthe menהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseלֹאlonotשִׁכּוֹרִיםshik/ko/RIMdrunkהֵמָּהHEM/maare theyכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasחֲשַׁבְתֶּםcha/shav/TEMyou supposeכִּיkiforהַשָּׁעָהhash/sha/Athe hourהַשְּׁלִישִׁיתhash/she/li/SHITthirdבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin the dayעָתָּה׃AT/tait is now

    For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

16. 16

    וְהוּאve/HUand this isהָאָמוּרha/a/MURwhat was saidעַל־יְדֵיal-ye/DEbyיוֹאֵלYo/ELJoelהַנָּבִיא׃han/na/VIthe prophet

    But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

17. 17

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it will beבְּאַחֲרִיתbe/a/cha/RITin the end ofהַיָּמִיםhay/ya/MIMdaysנְאֻםne/UMthe declaration ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶשְׁפֹּךְesh/POKHI will pour outמֵרוּחִיme/Ru/CHIof My Spiritעַל־כׇּל־בָּשָׂרal-kol-ba/SARon all fleshוְנִבְּאוּve/nib/be/Uand will prophesyבְּנֵיכֶםbe/ne/KHEMyour sonsוּבְנֹתֵיכֶםu/ve/no/te/KHEMand your daughtersוּבַחוּרֵיכֶםu/va/chu/re/KHEMand your young menחֶזְיֹנוֹתchez/yo/NOTvisionsיִרְאוּyir/Uwill seeוְזִקְנֵיכֶםve/zik/ne/KHEMand your old menחֲלֹמוֹתcha/lo/MOTdreamsיַחֲלֹמוּן׃ya/cha/lo/MUNwill dream

    And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

18. 18

    וְגַםve/GAMand alsoעַל־עֲבָדַיal-a/va/DAYon My servantsוְעַל־שִׁפְחוֹתַיve/AL-shif/cho/TAYand on My maidservantsבַּיָּמִיםbay/ya/MIMin the daysהָהֵמָּהha/HEM/mathoseאֶשְׁפֹּךְesh/POKHI will pour outמֵרוּחִיme/Ru/CHIof My Spiritוְנִבָּאוּ׃ve/nib/BA/uand they will prophesy

    And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

19. 19

    וְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIand I will giveמוֹפְתִיםmof/TIMwondersבַּשָּׁמַיִםbash/sha/MA/yimin the heavensמִמַּעַלmim/MA/alaboveוְאֹתוֹתve/o/TOTand signsבָּאָרֶץba/A/retson the earthמִתָּחַתmit/TA/chatbeneathדָּםdambloodוָאֵשׁva/ESHand fireוְתִימְרוֹתve/ti/me/ROTand columns ofעָשָׁן׃a/SHANsmoke

    And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

20. 20

    הַשֶּׁמֶשׁhash/SHE/meshthe sunיֵהָפֵךְye/ha/FEKHwill be turnedלְחֹשֶׁךְle/CHO/shekhinto darknessוְהַיָּרֵחַve/hay/ya/RE/achand the moonלְדָםle/DAMinto bloodלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeבּוֹאbothe coming ofיוֹםyomthe day ofיְהוָֹהAdonaithe LORDהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLthe greatוְהַנּוֹרָא׃ve/han/no/RAand the awesome

    The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

21. 21

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it will beכֹּלkolallאֲשֶׁר־יִקְרָאa/SHER-yik/RAwho callבְּשֵׁם־יְהוָֹהbe/SHEM-Adonaion the name of the LORDיִוָּשֵׁעַ׃yiv/va/SHE/awill be saved

    And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

22. 22

    אַנְשֵׁיan/SHEmen ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelשִׁמְעוּshim/Uhearהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe wordsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהַנָּצְרִיhan/Na/tse/RIof Nazarethהָאִישׁha/ISHthe manאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoנֶאֱמַןne/e/MANwas confirmedלָכֶםla/KHEMto youמֵאֵתme/ETfromהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodבִּגְבוּרוֹתbig/vu/ROTby mighty worksוּבְמוֹפְתִיםu/ve/mof/TIMand wondersוּבְאֹתוֹתu/ve/o/TOTand signsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodעָשָׂהa/SAdidעַל־יָדוֹal-ya/DOby himבְּתוֹכְכֶםbe/tokh/KHEMamong youכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasיְדַעְתֶּםye/da/TEMyou knowגַּם־אַתֶּם׃gam-at/TEMyou also

    Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

23. 23

    אֹתוֹo/TOhimהַנִּמְסָרhan/nim/SARwho was deliveredעַל־פִּיal-pibyעֲצַתa/TSATthe counsel ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodהַנֶּחֱרָצָהhan/ne/che/ra/TSAthat was decreedוִידִיעָתוֹvi/di/a/TOand His foreknowledgeמִקֶּדֶםmik/KE/demfrom beforeלְקַחְתֶּםle/kach/TEMyou tookוּבִידֵיu/vi/DEand by the hands ofרְשָׁעִיםre/sha/IMthe wickedהוֹקַעְתֶּםho/ka/TEMyou hangedוַהֲרַגְתֶּם׃va/ha/rag/TEMand killed

    Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

24. 24

    וֵאלֹהִיםve/lo/HIMand Godהֱקִימוֹhe/ki/MOraised himבְּהַתִּירוֹbe/hat/ti/ROloosingאֶת־חֶבְלֵיet-chev/LEthe pains ofהַמָּוֶתham/MA/vetdeathכִּיkibecauseלֹאlonotיָכֹלya/KHOLwas it possibleלְהַחֲזִיקle/ha/cha/ZIKto holdבּוֹ׃bohim

    Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

    כִּי־דָוִדki-Da/VIDfor Davidאֹמֵרo/MERsaysעָלָיוa/LAYVabout himרָאִיתִיra/I/tiI sawיְהוָֹהAdonaithe LORDלְנֶגְדִּיle/neg/DIbefore meתָמִידta/MIDalwaysכִּיkiforהוּאhuhe isמִימִינִיmi/mi/NIat my right handבַּל־אֶמּוֹט׃bal-em/MOTI will not be moved

    For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:

26. 26

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeשָׂמַחsa/MACHrejoicedלִבִּיlib/BImy heartוַתָּגֶלvat/TA/geland has rejoicedלְשׁוֹנִיle/sho/NImy tongueאַף־בְּשָׂרִיaf-be/sa/RIalso my fleshיָנוּחַya/NU/achwill restבְּתִקְוָה׃be/tik/VAin hope

    Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:

27. 27

    כִּיkiforלֹא־תַעֲזֹבlo-ta/a/ZOVYou will not abandonנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulלִשְׁאוֹלLish/OLto Sheolלֹא־תִתֵּןlo-tit/TENYou will not giveחֲסִידְךָcha/si/de/KHAYour faithful oneלִרְאוֹתlir/OTto seeשָׁחַת׃SHA/chatthe pit

    Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

28. 28

    הוֹדַעְתָּנִיho/da/ta/NIYou have made known to meאׇרְחוֹתor/CHOTthe paths ofחַיִּיםchay/YIMlifeתְּמַלְּאֵנִיte/mal/le/e/NIYou shall make me fullשִׂמְחָהsim/CHAjoyאֶת־פָּנֶיךָ׃et-pa/NE/khawith Your face

    Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.

29. 29

    אֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenאַחִיםa/CHIMbrothersהַנִּיחוּhan/NI/chuallowלִיlimeוַאֲדַבְּרָהva/a/dab/be/RAand let me speakאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMto youכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasעִםimis withלְבָבִיle/va/VImy heartדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidאָבִינוּa/VI/nuour fatherמֵתmetdiedוְנִקְבַּרve/nik/BARand was buriedוּקְבוּרָתוֹu/ke/vu/ra/TOand his tombאִתָּנוּit/TA/nuwith usהִיאhiisעַד־הַיּוֹםad-hay/YOMuntil the dayהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.

30. 30

    וְהוּאve/HUand heנָבִיאna/VIwas a prophetוְיֹדֵעַve/yo/DE/aand knewאֶת־הַשְּׁבוּעָהet-hash/she/vu/Athe oathאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatנִשְׁבַּעnish/BAsworeלוֹloto himהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodלְהָקִיםle/ha/KIMto raise upאֶת־הַמָּשִׁיחַet-Ham/ma/SHI/achthe Messiahכְּפִיke/FIaccording toהַבָּשָׂרhab/ba/SARthe fleshמִפְּרִיmip/pe/RIof the fruit ofחֲלָצָיוcha/la/TSAYVhis loinsלְהוֹשִׁיבוֹle/ho/shi/VOto seat himעַל־כִּסְאוֹ׃al-kis/Oon his throne

    Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

31. 31

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeבַּחֲזוֹתוֹba/cha/zo/TOin his foreseeingלְמֵרָחוֹקle/me/ra/CHOKfrom afarדִּבֶּרdib/BERhe spokeעַל־תְּקוּמַתal-te/ku/MATabout the rising ofהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahכִּיkithatלֹא־נֶעֶזְבָהlo-ne/ez/VAwas not abandonedנַפְשׁוֹnaf/SHOhis soulלִשְׁאוֹלLish/OLto Sheolוְגַם־בְּשָׂרוֹve/GAM-be/sa/ROand also his fleshלֹא־רָאָהlo-ra/Adid not seeשָׁחַת׃SHA/chatthe pit

    He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

32. 32

    הוּאhuthisיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomהֵקִיםhe/KIMraisedאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodוַאֲנַחְנוּva/a/NACH/nuand weכֻלָּנוּkhul/LA/nuall of usעֵדָיו׃e/DAYVare his witnesses

    This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

33. 33

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterהִנָּשְׂאוֹhin/na/se/Ohe was lifted upבִּימִיןbi/MINat the right hand ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodלָקַחla/KACHhe receivedמֵאֵתme/ETfromהָאָבha/AVthe Fatherאֶת־הַבְטָחַתet-hav/ta/CHATthe promise ofרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁRU/ach-Hak/KO/deshthe Holy Spiritוַיִּשְׁפֹּךְvay/yish/POKHand he poured outאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhatאַתֶּםat/TEMyouרֹאִיםro/IMseeוְשֹׁמְעִים׃ve/shom/IMand hear

    Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

34. 34

    כִּיkiforדָוִדDa/VIDDavidלֹאlonotעָלָהa/LAdid go upהַשָּׁמָיְמָהhash/sha/MAY/mainto the heavensוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdהוּאhuheאֹמֵרo/MERsaysנְאֻם־יְהוָֹהne/UM-Adonaithe declaration of the LORDלַאדֹנִיla/do/NIto my Lordשֵׁבshevsitלִימִינִי׃li/mi/NIat My right hand

    For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

35. 35

    עַד־אָשִׁיתad-a/SHITuntil I makeאֹיְבֶיךָoy/VE/khayour enemiesהֲדֹםha/DOMa footstoolלְרַגְלֶיךָ׃le/rag/LE/khafor your feet

    Until I make thy foes thy footstool.

36. 36

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeיֵדַע־נָאye/DA-nalet know nowבֵּית־יִשְׂרָאֵלbet-Yis/ra/ELthe house of Israelכֻּלּוֹkul/LOall of itבָּרוּרba/RURcertainlyכִּיkithatהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodשָׂםsammadeאֶת־יֵשׁוּעַet-Ye/SHU/aJesusזֶהzethisאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomצְלַבְתֶּםtse/lav/TEMyou have crucifiedלְאָדוֹןle/a/DONLordוּלְמָשִׁיחַ׃u/Le/ma/SHI/achand Messiah

    Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

37. 37

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכְשָׁמְעָםkhe/sha/me/AMwhen they heardהִתְעַצְּבוּhit/ats/tse/VUthey were grievedאֶל־לִבָּםel-lib/BAMto their heartוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֶל־פֶּטְרוֹסel-Pet/ROSto Peterוְאֶל־שְׁאָרve/EL-she/ARand to the rest ofהַשְּׁלִיחִיםhash/she/li/CHIMthe apostlesאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenאַחִיםa/CHIMbrothersמַה־נַּעֲשֶׂה׃ma-na/a/SEwhat shall we do

    Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

38. 38

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidפֶּטְרוֹסPet/ROSPeterאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themשׁוּבוּSHU/vuturnוְהִטָּבְלוּve/hit/ta/ve/LUand be baptizedאִישׁisheveryאִישׁishoneמִכֶּםmik/KEMof youבְּשֵׁםbe/SHEMin the name ofיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahלִסְלִיחַתlis/li/CHATfor the forgiveness ofחֲטָאִיםcha/ta/IMsinsוְקִבַּלְתֶּםve/kib/bal/TEMand you will receiveאֶת־מַתַּתet-mat/TATthe gift ofרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁ׃RU/ach-Hak/KO/deshthe Holy Spirit

    Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39. 39

    כִּיkiforלָכֶםla/KHEMto you isהַהַבְטָחָהha/hav/ta/CHAthe promiseוְלִבְנֵיכֶםve/liv/ne/KHEMand to your childrenוּלְכֹלu/le/KHOLand to allהָרְחוֹקִיםha/re/cho/KIMwho are farלְכׇל־אֲשֶׁרle/KHOL-a/SHERto all whomיִקְרָאyik/RAwill callיְהוָֹהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵינוּe/lo/HE/nuour Godלָהֶם׃la/HEMto Him

    For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

40. 40

    וַיָּעַדvay/YA/adand he testifiedעוֹדodmoreבָּהֶםba/HEMwith themבִּדְבָרִיםbid/va/RIMwith wordsאֲחֵרִיםa/che/RIMotherהַרְבֵּהhar/BEmanyוַיַּזְהִירֵםvay/yaz/hi/REMand warned themלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingהִוָּשְׁעוּhiv/va/she/Usave yourselvesנָאnanowמִן־הַדּוֹרmin-had/DORfrom the generationהָעִקֵּשׁha/ik/KESHcrookedהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

41. 41

    וַיְקַבְּלוּvay/kab/be/LUand they receivedאֶת־דְּבָרוֹet-de/va/ROhis wordבְּשִׂמְחָהbe/sim/CHAwith gladnessוַיִּטָּבֵלוּvay/yit/ta/ve/LUand they were baptizedוּבַיּוֹםu/vay/YOMand on the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatנוֹסְפוּnos/FUwere addedכִּשְׁלֹשֶׁתkish/LO/shetabout threeאַלְפֵיal/FEthousandנָפֶשׁ׃NA/feshsouls

    Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

42. 42

    וַיִּהְיוּvay/yih/YUand they wereשֹׁקְדִיםshok/DIMdevotedעַל־לֶקַחal-LE/kachin the teaching ofהַשְּׁלִיחִיםhash/she/li/CHIMthe apostlesוְעַל־הַחֶבְרָהve/AL-ha/chev/RAand fellowshipוְעַל־בְּצִיעַתve/AL-be/tsi/ATand to the breaking ofהַלֶּחֶםhal/LE/chemthe breadוְעַל־הַתְּפִלָּה׃ve/AL-hat/te/fil/LAand to the prayer

    And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

43. 43

    וַתִּפֹּלvat/tip/POLand fellאֵימָהe/MAterrorעַל־כׇּל־נֶפֶשׁal-kol-NE/feshon every soulוּמוֹפְתִיםu/mof/TIMand wondersרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyוְאֹתוֹתve/o/TOTand signsנַעֲשׂוּna/a/SUwere doneעַל־יְדֵיal-ye/DEby the hands ofהַשְּׁלִיחִים׃hash/she/li/CHIMthe apostles

    And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

44. 44

    וְכׇל־הַמַּאֲמִינִיםve/KHOL-ham/ma/a/mi/NIMand all who believedהִתְאַחֲדוּhit/a/cha/DUwere unitedיָחַדYA/chadtogetherוַיְהִיvay/HIand there wasכׇל־דָּבָרkhol-da/VAReverythingיַחְדָּוyach/DAVtogetherבֵּינֵיהֶם׃be/ne/HEMamong them

    And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

45. 45

    וַיִּמְכְּרוּvay/yim/ke/RUand they soldאֶת־אֲחֻזָּתָםet-a/chuz/za/TAMtheir holdingsוְאֶת־רְכוּשָׁםve/ET-re/khu/SHAMand their goodsוַיְחַלְּקוּvay/chal/le/KUand dividedלְכֻלָּםle/khul/LAMto allלְאִישׁle/ISHto eachאִישׁishmanדֵּיdeenough forמַחְסוֹרוֹ׃mach/so/ROhis need

    And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

46. 46

    וְיוֹםve/YOMand dayיוֹםyomby dayהָיוּha/YUthey wereשֹׁקְדִיםshok/DIMdevotedלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beingבַּמִּקְדָּשׁbam/mik/DASHin the templeלֵבlevwith a heartאֶחָדe/CHADoneוַיִּבְצְעוּvay/yiv/tse/Uand they brokeאֶת־הַלֶּחֶםet-hal/LE/chemthe breadבַּבַּיִתbab/BA/yitin houseבַּבָּיִתbab/BA/yitby houseוַיֹּאכְלוּvay/yo/khe/LUand they ateמְזוֹנָםme/zo/NAMtheir foodבְּגִילָהbe/gi/LAwith rejoicingוּבְתֹםu/ve/TOMand with integrity ofלֵבָב׃le/VAVheart

    And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

47. 47

    וַיְשַׁבְּחוּvay/shab/be/CHUand praisedאֶת־הָאֱלֹהִיםet-ha/e/lo/HIMGodוַיִּמְצְאוּvay/yim/tse/Uand they foundחֵןchenfavorבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofכׇל־הָעָםkhol-ha/AMall the peopleוְהָאָדוֹןve/ha/a/DONand the Lordהוֹסִיףho/SIFaddedיוֹםyomdayיוֹםyomby dayעַל־הַקְּהִלָּהal-hak/ke/hil/LAto the churchאֶת־הַנּוֹשָׁעִים׃et-han/no/sha/IMthose being saved

    Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
