   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passבְאִיקָנְיוֹןve/I/ka/ne/YONin Iconiumוַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand they cameיַחְדָּוyach/DAVtogetherאֶל־בֵּיתel-betinto the house ofהַכְּנֶסֶתhak/ke/NE/setassemblyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat belongsלַיְּהוּדִיםlay/Ye/hu/DIMto the Jewsוַיְדַבְּרוּ־שָׁםvay/dab/be/RU-shamand spoke thereעַדaduntilכִּי־הֶאֱמִיןki-he/e/MINthat believedהָמוֹןha/MONa crowdרָבravgreatמִן־הַיְּהוּדִיםmin-Hay/ye/hu/DIMof the Jewsוּמִן־הַיְּוָנִים׃u/MIN-hay/ye/va/NIMand of the Greeks

   And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.

   וְהַיְּהוּדִיםve/hay/Ye/hu/DIMand the Jewsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoלֹאlodid notהֶאֱמִינוּhe/e/MI/nubelieveעוֹרֲרוּo/ra/RUstirred upוְהִכְעִיסוּve/hikh/I/suand provokedאֶת־נַפְשׁוֹתet-naf/SHOTthe souls ofהַגּוֹיִםhag/Go/YIMthe Gentilesעַל־הָאַחִים׃al-ha/a/CHIMagainst the brothers

   But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren.

3. 3

   וַיֵּשְׁבוּ־שָׁםvay/yesh/VU-shamand they stayed thereיָמִיםya/MIMdaysרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyוַיְדַבְּרוּvay/dab/be/RUand they spokeבְּאֹמֶץbe/O/metsboldlyבָּאָדוֹןba/a/DONin the Lordהַמֵּעִידham/me/IDwho testifiedעַל־דְּבַרal-de/VARto the word ofחַסְדּוֹchas/DOhis graceבַּעֲשׂוֹתוֹba/a/so/TOin his doingעַל־יָדָםal-ya/DAMby their handsאֹתוֹתo/TOTsignsוּמוֹפְתִים׃u/mof/TIMand wonders

   Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.

   וַיֵּחָלֵקvay/ye/cha/LEKand was dividedהֲמוֹןha/MONthe crowd ofהָעִירha/IRthe cityחֶצְיָםchets/YAMhalf of themהָיָהha/YAwereאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterהַיְּהוּדִיםhay/Ye/hu/DIMthe Jewsוְחֶצְיָםve/chets/YAMand half of themאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterהַשְּׁלִיחִים׃hash/she/li/CHIMthe apostles

   But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכִּיkiwhenרָגְשׁוּra/ge/SHUwere in uproarהַגּוֹיִםhag/Go/YIMthe Gentilesוְהַיְּהוּדִיםve/hay/Ye/hu/DIMand the JewsהֵמָּהHEM/matheyוְרָאשֵׁיהֶםve/ra/she/HEMand their rulersלְהִתְעַלֵּלle/hit/al/LELto abuseבָּהֶםba/HEMthemוּלְסָקְלָם׃u/le/sa/ke/LAMand to stone them

   And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them,

   וַיִּוָּדַעvay/yiv/va/DAand it became knownלָהֶםla/HEMto themוַיִּמָּלְטוּvay/yim/ma/le/TUand they escapedלְעָרֵיle/a/REto the cities ofלוּקוֹנְיָאLu/kon/YALycaoniaאֶל־לוּסְטְרָאel-Lus/te/RAto Lystraוְדֶרְבִּיve/Der/BIand Derbeוּסְבִיבוֹתָן׃u/se/vi/vo/TANand their surroundings

   They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about:

   וַיְבַשְּׂרוּ־שָׁםvay/vas/se/RU-shamand they proclaimed thereהַבְּשׂוֹרָה׃hab/be/so/RAthe good news

   And there they preached the gospel.

8. 8

   וְאִישׁve/ISHand a manנְכֵהne/KHEstricken inרַגְלַיִםrag/LA/yimfeetבְּלוּסְטְרָאbe/Lus/te/RAat Lystraיֹשֵׁבyo/SHEVsittingתַּחְתָּיוtach/TAYVin his placeפִּסֵּחַpis/SE/achlameמִבֶּטֶןmib/BE/tenfrom the womb ofאִמּוֹim/MOhis motherוְלֹאve/LOand notהִלֵּךְhil/LEKHhad he walkedמִיָּמָיו׃miy/ya/MAYVin all his days

   And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked:

   וַיִּשְׁמַעvay/yish/MAand he heardאֶת־פּוֹלוֹסet-Po/LOSPaulמְדַבֵּרme/dab/BERspeakingוְהוּאve/HUand heהִבִּיטhib/BIThe lookedאֵלָיוe/LAYVhimוַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawכִּי־אֱמוּנָהki-e/mu/NAthat faithבוֹvowas in himלְהִוָּשֵׁעַ׃le/hiv/va/SHE/ato be saved

   The same heard Paul speak: who steadfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidבְּקוֹלbe/KOLwith a voiceגָּדוֹלga/DOLloudעֲמֹדa/MODstandקוֹמְמִיּוּתkom/miy/YUTuprightעַל־רַגְלֶיךָal-rag/LE/khaon your feetוַיְדַלֵּגvay/dal/LEGand he leapedוַיִּתְהַלָּךְ׃vay/yit/hal/LAKHand walked

    Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.

    וַהֲמוֹןva/ha/MONand the crowd ofהָעָםha/AMthe peopleרָאוּra/Usawאֵת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhatעָשָׂהa/SAhad doneפוֹלוֹסFo/LOSPaulוַיִּשְׂאוּvay/yis/Uand they liftedאֶת־קוֹלָםet-ko/LAMtheir voicesוַיְדַבְּרוּvay/dab/be/RUand they spokeבְּלָשׁוֹןbe/la/SHONin the language ofלוּקוֹנִיתLu/ko/NITLycaonianלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMthe godsיָרְדוּya/re/DUhave come downאֵלֵינוּe/LE/nuto usבִּדְמוּתbid/MUTin the likeness ofאֲנָשִׁים׃a/na/SHIMmen

    And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.

    וַיִּקְרְאוּvay/yik/re/Uand they calledלְבַר־נַבָּאLe/VAR-nab/BABarnabasיֻפִּיטֶרYup/pi/TERJupiterוּלְפוֹלוֹסu/Le/fo/LOSand Paulקָרְאוּka/re/Uthey calledהֶרְמִיסHer/MISMercuriusבַּאֲשֶׁרba/a/SHERbecauseהוּאhuhe wasרֹאשׁroshthe chief ofהַמְדַבְּרִים׃ham/dab/be/RIMthe speakers

    And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.

13. 13

    וְכֹהֵןve/kho/HENand the priest ofבֵּית־יֻפִּיטֶרbet-Yup/pi/TERthe house of Jupiterלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהָעִירha/IRthe cityבָּאbacameהַשַּׁעְרָהhash/SHA/rato the gateבִּשְׁוָרִיםbish/va/RIMwith oxenוּבַעֲטָרוֹתu/va/a/ta/ROTand with garlandsוַיַּחְפֹּץvay/yach/POTSand desiredלִזְבֹּחַliz/BO/achto sacrificeהוּאhuheוַהֲמוֹןva/ha/MONand the crowd ofהָעָם׃ha/AMthe people

    Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.

14. 14

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכִּשְׁמֹעַkish/MO/awhen heardזֹאתzotthisהַשְּׁלִיחִיםhash/she/li/CHIMthe apostlesבַּר־נַבָּאBar-nab/BABarnabasוּפוֹלוֹסu/Fo/LOSand Paulוַיִּקְרְעוּvay/yik/re/Uthey toreאֶת־בִּגְדֵיהֶםet-big/de/HEMtheir clothesוַיָּרוּצוּvay/ya/RU/tsuand ranאֶל־תּוֹךְ־הָעָםel-tokh-ha/AMinto the midst of the peopleוַיִּצְעֲקוּ׃vay/yits/a/KUand they cried out

    Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out,

15. 15

    וַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenלָמָּהLAM/mawhyתַּעֲשׂוּta/a/SUare you doingכָזֹאתkha/ZOTlike thisגַּם־אֲנַחְנוּgam-a/NACH/nuwe alsoבְנֵי־אָדָםve/NE-a/DAMare sons of menחַלָּשִׁיםchal/la/SHIMweakכְּמוֹכֶםke/mo/KHEMlike youוּנְבַשְּׂרָהu/ne/vas/se/RAand we bring good newsאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMto youלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatתָּשׁוּבוּta/SHU/vuyou may turnמִן־הַהֲבָלִיםmin-ha/ha/va/LIMfrom vanitiesהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseאֶל־אֱלֹהִיםel-e/lo/HIMto Godחַיִּיםchay/YIMlivingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoעָשָׂהa/SAmadeאֶת־הַשָּׁמַיִםet-hash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensוְאֶת־הָאָרֶץve/ET-ha/A/retsand earthוְאֶת־הַיָּםve/ET-hay/YAMand the seaוְאֶת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁר־בָּם׃ve/ET-kol-a/SHER-bamand all that is in them

    And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:

16. 16

    וַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand whoבְּדֹרוֹתbe/do/ROTin generationsקֶדֶםKE/demof oldהִנִּיחַhin/NI/achallowedלְכׇל־הַגּוֹיִםle/KHOL-hag/go/YIMall nationsלָלֶכֶתla/LE/khetto walkבְּדַרְכֵיהֶם׃be/dar/khe/HEMin their own ways

    Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.

17. 17

    וְגַםve/GAMand yetלֹא־חָדַלlo-cha/DALHe did not ceaseלְהָעִידle/ha/IDto testifyעַל־נַפְשׁוֹal-naf/SHOabout Himselfוַיֵּיטֶבvay/YE/tevand He did goodלָנוּLA/nuto usבְּתִתּוֹbe/tit/TOin His givingמָטָרma/TARrainמִן־הַשָּׁמַיִםmin-hash/sha/MA/yimfrom the heavensוְעִתּוֹתve/it/TOTand seasons ofשָׂבָעsa/VAplentyוַיְמַלֵּאvay/mal/LEand He filledלִבּוֹתֵינוּlib/bo/te/NUour heartsמָזוֹןma/ZONwith foodוְשָׂשׂוֹן׃ve/sa/SONand gladness

    Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.

18. 18

    וְאַףve/AFand evenבַּדְּבָרִיםbad/de/va/RIMwith the wordsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseבְּרֹבbe/ROVwith muchעָמָלa/MALtoilמָנְעוּma/ne/Uthey restrainedאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMthe peopleמִזְּבֹחַmiz/ze/VO/achfrom sacrificingלָהֶם׃la/HEMto them

    And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they had not done sacrifice unto them.

19. 19

    וַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand cameשָׁמָּהSHAM/mathereיְהוּדִיםYe/hu/DIMJewsמִן־אַנְטְיוֹכְיָאmin-An/te/yokh/YAfrom Antiochוּמִן־אִיקָנְיוֹןu/MIN-i/ka/ne/YONand Iconiumוַיָּסִיתוּvay/ya/si/TUand they incitedאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMthe peopleוַיִּרְגְּמוּvay/yir/ge/MUand they stonedאֶת־פּוֹלוֹסet-Po/LOSPaulבָּאֲבָנִיםba/a/va/NIMwith stonesוַיִּסְחָבֻהוּvay/yis/cha/vu/HUand dragged himאֶל־מִחוּץel-mi/CHUTSoutsideלָעִירla/IRthe cityכִּיkiforחֲשָׁבֻהוּcha/sha/vu/HUthey thought himלְמֵת׃le/METdead

    And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.

20. 20

    וַיָּסֹבּוּvay/ya/SOB/buand surroundedאֹתוֹo/TOhimהַתַּלְמִידִיםhat/tal/mi/DIMthe disciplesוַיָּקׇםvay/YA/komand he roseוַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand enteredהָעִירָהha/I/rainto the cityוּמִמׇּחֳרָתu/mim/mo/cho/RATand on the next dayיָצָאya/TSAhe went outאֶל־דֶּרְבִּיel-Der/BIto Derbeהוּאhuheוּבַר־נַבָּא׃u/VAR-nab/BAand Barnabas

    Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.

21. 21

    וַיְבַשְּׂרוּvay/vas/se/RUand they proclaimedאֶת־הַבְּשׂוֹרָהet-hab/be/so/RAthe good newsבָּעִירba/IRin the cityהַהִיאha/HIthatוְאַחֲרֵיve/a/cha/REand afterהַעֲמִידָםha/a/mi/DAMthey establishedתַּלְמִידִיםtal/mi/DIMdisciplesהַרְבֵּהhar/BEmanyשָׁבוּSHA/vuthey returnedאֶל־לוּסְטְרָאel-Lus/te/RAto Lystraוְאִיקָנְיוֹןve/I/ka/ne/YONand to Iconiumוְאַנְטְיוֹכְיָא׃ve/An/te/yokh/YAand Antioch

    And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,

22. 22

    וַיְחַזְּקוּvay/chaz/ze/KUand they strengthenedאֶת־נַפְשׁוֹתet-naf/SHOTthe souls ofהַתַּלְמִידִיםhat/tal/mi/DIMthe disciplesוַיַּזְהִירוּvay/yaz/hi/RUand exhortedאֹתָםo/TAMthemלַעֲמֹדla/a/MODto standבָּאֱמוּנָהba/e/mu/NAin the faithוְכִיve/KHIand thatרַק־בְּצָרוֹתrak-be/tsa/ROTonly through troublesרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmuchבּוֹאboenterנָבוֹאna/VOwe will enterאֶל־מַלְכוּתel-mal/KHUTinto the kingdom ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

    Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

23. 23

    וַיְמַנּוּvay/man/NUand they appointedלָהֶםla/HEMfor themזְקֵנִיםze/ke/NIMeldersבְּכׇל־קְהִלָּהbe/KHOL-ke/hil/LAin every churchוּקְהִלָּהu/ke/hil/LAand churchוַיִּתְפַּלֲלוּvay/yit/pa/la/LUand they prayedוַיָּצוּמוּvay/ya/TSU/muand fastedוַיַּפְקִידוּםvay/yaf/ki/DUMand they entrusted themבְּיַדbe/YADto the hand ofהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe Lordאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomהֶאֱמִינוּhe/e/MI/nuthey believedבוֹ׃voin him

    And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.

24. 24

    וַיַּעַבְרוּvay/ya/av/RUand they passedבְּפִיסִדְיָאbe/Fi/sid/YAthroughout Pisidiaוַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand they cameאֶל־פַּמְפּוּלְיָא׃el-Pam/pul/YAto Pamphylia

    And after they had passed throughout Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia.

25. 25

    וַיַּשְׁמִיעוּvay/yash/MI/uand they proclaimedאֶת־הַדָּבָרet-had/da/VARthe wordבְּפֶרְגִּיbe/Fer/GIin Pergaוַיֵּרְדוּvay/yer/DUand went downאֶל־אַטַּלְיָא׃el-At/tal/YAinto Attalia

    And when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down into Attalia:

26. 26

    וּמִשָּׁםu/mish/SHAMand from thereבָּאוּBA/uthey cameבׇאֳנִיָּהvo/o/niy/YAby shipאֶל־אַנְטְיוֹכְיָאel-An/te/yokh/YAto Antiochאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereנִמְסְרוּ־שָׁםnim/se/RU-shamthey had been delivered thereלְחֶסֶדle/CHE/sedto the grace ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodעַל־הַמְּלָאכָהal-ham/me/la/KHAfor the workאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatכִּלּוּkil/LUthey completedאֹתָהּ׃o/TAit

    And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled.

27. 27

    וַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand they cameוַיַּקְהִילוּvay/yak/hi/LUand gatheredאֶת־הַקְּהִלָּהet-hak/ke/hil/LAthe churchוַיַּגִּידוּvay/yag/GI/duand they toldאֵת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁרet-kol-a/SHERall thatעָשָׂהa/SAhad doneאִתָּםit/TAMwith themהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodוְאֵתve/ETandאֲשֶׁר־פָּתַחa/SHER-pa/TACHthat He had openedלַגּוֹיִםlag/Go/YIMto the GentilesפֶּתַחPE/tachthe door ofהָאֱמוּנָה׃ha/e/mu/NAfaith

    And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.

28. 28

    וַיֵּשְׁבוּvay/yesh/VUand they stayedשָׁםshamthereעִם־הַתַּלְמִידִיםim-hat/tal/mi/DIMwith the disciplesיָמִיםya/MIMdaysלֹאlonotמְעָט׃me/ATfew

    And there they abode long time with the disciples.
