1. 1

   וְעַתָּהand-nowהִנְנִיbehold-IמֵעִידI-charge-youבְּךָyouנֶגֶדbeforeהָאֱלֹהִיםthe-Godוְנֶגֶדand-beforeאֲדֹנֵינוּour-LordיֵשׁוּעַJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַthe-Messiahהַבָּאwho-shallלִשְׁפֹּטjudgeאֶת־הַחַיִּיםthe-quickוְאֶת־הַמֵּתִיםand-the-deadבְּהוֹפָעָתוֹat-his-appearingוּבְמַלְכוּתוֹ׃and-his-kingdom

   I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

   הַכְרֵזpreachאֶת־הַדָּבָרthe-wordוְהַתְמֵדbe-instantבְּעִתּוֹin-seasonוְשֶׁלּאandבְעִתּוֹout-of-seasonהוֹכַחreproveוּגְעַרrebukeוְהַזְהֵרexhortבְּכׇל־אֹרֶךְ־רוּחַwith-all-longsufferingוְהוֹרָאָה׃and-doctrine

   Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

3. 3

   כִּי־בוֹאbecause-the-coming-ofתָבֹאcomeהָעֵתthe-timeאֲשֶׁרwhichלֹא־יָכִילוּthey-will-not-endureאֶת־הַלֶּקַחthe-doctrineהַבָּרִיאsoundכִּיbutאִם־כְּאַוַּתafter-the-lusts-ofנַפְשָׁםtheir-ownיַאַסְפוּshall-they-heapלָהֶםto-themselvesמוֹרִיםteachersלְשַׁעֲשֻׁעֵיfor-the-itching-ofאׇזְנָיִם׃ears

   For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

4. 4

   וְיַטּוּand-they-shall-turn-awayאׇזְנֵיהֶםtheir-earsמִן־הָאֱמֶתfrom-the-truthוְיִפְנוּand-shall-be-turnedאֶל־הַהַגָּדוֹת׃unto-fables

   And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

   אֲבָלbutאַתָּהyouהֱיֵהbeעֵרsoberבַּכֹּלin-all-thingsסְבֹלendureהָרָעוֹתafflictionsוַעֲשֵׂהdoמְלֶאכֶתthe-work-ofהַמְבַשֵׂרan-evangelistוּמַלֵּאmake-full-proof-ofאֶת־שֵׁרוּתֶךָ׃your-ministry

   But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

6. 6

   כִּיbecauseעַתָּהnowזֶהthisאֻסַּךְI-am-ready-to-be-offeredנָסֶךְa-drink-offeringוְעֵתand-the-time-ofפְּטִירָתִיmy-departureהִגִּיעָה׃is-at-hand

   For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

7. 7

   הַמִּלְחָמָהthe-battleהַטּוֹבָהthe-goodנִלְחָמְתִּיI-have-foughtאֶת־הַמְּרוּצָהmy-courseהִשְׁלַמְתִּיI-have-finishedאֶת־הָאֱמוּנָהthe-faithנָצָרְתִּי׃I-have-kept

   I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

8. 8

   וּמֵעַתָּהand-from-this-timeשָׁמוּרthere-is-laid-upלִיto-meכֶּתֶרa crown ofהַצְּדָקָהthe-righteousnessאֲשֶׁרwhichבַּיּוֹםin-the-dayהַהוּאthatיִתֵּןshall-giveלִיto-meהָאָדוֹןthe-Lordהַשֹּׁפֵטthe-judgeהַצַּדִּיקthe-righteousוְלֹא־לִיand-not-to-meלְבַדִּיaloneכִּי־לְכׇל־אֹהֲבֵיbecause-to-all-those who loveהוֹפָעָתוֹ׃his-appearing

   Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

9. 9

   חוּשָׁהdo-your-diligenceלָבוֹאto-comeאֵלַיunto-meבִּמְהֵרָה׃shortly

   Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me:

10. 10

    כִּי־דִימָסbecause-Demasעֲזָבַנִיhath-forsaken-meבְּאַהֲבָתוֹhaving-lovedאֶת־הָעוֹלָםthe-worldהַזֶּהthisוַיֵּלֶךְ־לוֹand-is-departedלְתַסְלוֹנִיקִיto-Thessalonicaוּקְרִיסְקִיסand-Crescensהָלַךְis-departedלְגָלַטְיָהto-Galatiaוְטִיטוֹסand-Titusלְדַלְמָטְיָה׃to-Dalmatia

    For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

11. 11

    וְלוּקָסand-Lukeהוּאheלְבַדּוֹaloneעִמָּדִיwith-meקַחtakeאֶת־מַרְקוֹסMarkוַהֲבִיאֵהוּand-bring-himאִתָּךְwith-youכִּיbecauseיוֹעִיל־לִּיhe-is-profitable-to-meלִמְאֹדforלָעֲבוֹדָה׃the-ministry

    Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.

12. 12

    אֶת־טוּכִיקוֹסTychicusשָׁלַחְתִּיI-sentלְאֶפְסוֹס׃to-Ephesus

    And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus.

13. 13

    אֶת־הַמִּטְפַּחַתthe-clokeשֶׁהִנַּחְתִּיthat-I-leftבִטְרוֹאַסat-TroasאֵצֶלwithקַרְפּוֹסCarpusהֲבִיאֵהוּbring-himאִתְּךָwith-youבְּבוֹאֶךָwhen-you-comeוְאַףandאֶת־הַסְּפָרִיםthe-booksוְעַל־כֻּלָּםbut-especiallyאֶת־כִּתְבֵיthe-writings-ofהַקְּלָף׃the-parchments

    The cloak that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the parchments.

14. 14

    אֲלֶכְסַנְדְּרוֹסAlexanderחָרַשׁthe-smith-ofהַנְּחשֶׁתcopperעָשָׂהdidלִיmeרָעוֹתevilרַבּוֹתmuchיְשַׁלֶּם־לוֹreward-himהָאָדוֹןthe-Lordכְּמַעֲשָׂיו׃according-to-his-works

    Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:

15. 15

    וְגַם־אַתָּהand-also-youהִשָּׁמֶר־לְךָbe-you-ware-alsoמִמֶּנּוּof-himכִּי־מָרָהfor-he-hath-withstoodאֶת־דְּבָרֵינוּ׃our-words

    Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.

16. 16

    בְּהִצְטַדְּקִיat-my-first-answerבָרִאשׁוֹנָהfirstלֹא־הָיָהwas-noאִישׁmanלְעׇזְרֵנִיto-help-meכִּי־כֻלָּםbut-allעֲזָבוּנִיforsook-meאַל־תֵּחָשֵׁבlet-it-not-be-laidלָהֶםto-themלְעָוֹן׃to-charge

    At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.

17. 17

    וַאדֹנָיbut-the-Lordהוּאheעֲזָרַנִיstood-with-meוְחִזְּקָנִיand-strengthened-meלְמַעַןin-order-thatתֻּשְׁלַםmight-be-fully-preachedעַל־יָדִיby-meהַבְּשׂוֹרָהthe-gospelוְיִשְׁמָעוּהָand-they-will-hear-itכׇּל־הַגּוֹיִםall-the-nationsוָאֶנָּצֵלand-I-was-deliveredמִפִּיout-of-the-mouth-ofאַרְיֵה׃the-lion

    Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

18. 18

    וְיַצִּילֵנִיand-shall-deliver-meאֲדֹנָיthe-Lordמִכׇּל־מַעֲשֶׂהfrom-everyרָעevil-workוְיוֹשִׁיעֵנִיand-will-preserve-meלְמַלְכוּתוֹunto-his-kingdomבַשָּׁמָיִםin-heavenלוֹto-whomהַכָּבוֹדbe-gloryלְעוֹלְמֵיforeverעוֹלָמִיםeverlastingאָמֵן׃amen

    And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

19. 19

    שְׁאַלsaluteלִשְׁלוֹםfor-the-welfare-ofפְּרִיסְקָהPriscaוַעֲקִילַסand-Aquilaוּבֵיתand-house-ofאֳנִיסִיפוֹרוֹס׃Onesiphorus

    Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus.

20. 20

    אֲרַסְטוֹסErastusנִשְׁאַרabodeבְּקוֹרִנְתּוֹסat-Corinthוְאֶת־טְרוֹפִימוֹסand-Trophimusהִנַּחְתִּיhave-I-leftבְּמִילִיטוֹסin-Miletusכִּיbecauseחֹלֶהis sickהוּא׃he

    Erastus abode at Corinth: but Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick.

21. 21

    חוּשָׁהdo-your-diligenceלָבוֹאto-comeלִפְנֵיbeforeהַסְּתָיוwinterאוֹבוּלוֹסEubulusוּפוּדִיסand-Pudensוְלִינוֹסand-Linusוּקְלוֹדְיָהand-Claudiaוְהָאַחִיםand-the-brothersכֻּלָּםall-of-themשֹׁאֲלִיםsaluteלִשְׁלוֹמֶךָ׃you

    Do thy diligence to come before winter. Eubulus greeteth thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.

22. 22

    אֲדֹנֵינוּour-LordיֵשׁוּעַJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַthe-Messiahיְהִיlet-this-beעִם־רוּחֶךָwith-your-spiritהַחֶסֶדgraceעִמָּכֶםwith-youאָמֵן׃amen

    The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.
