1. 1

   וְזֹאתand-thisתֵּדַעknowכִּיbecauseבְּאַחֲרִיתin-the-lastהַיָּמִיםdaysיָבֹאוּshall-comeעִתִּיםtimesקָשׁוֹת׃perilous

   This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2. 2

   כִּי־יִהְיוּbecause-shall-beהָאֲנָשִׁיםthe-menאֹהֲבֵיthose who loveעַצְמָםthemselvesוְאֹהֲבֵיand-those who loveבֶצַעunjust gainוּמִתְהַלֲלִיםboastersוְגֵאִיםproudוּמְגַדְּפִיםblasphemersוּמַמְרִיםdisobedientבַּאֲבוֹתָםto-parentsוּכְפוּיֵיunthankfulטוֹבָהgoodוְלֹאand-notחֲסִידִים׃holy

   For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

   חַסְרֵיwithout-naturalאַהֲבָהaffectionוּבוֹגְדִיםtrucebreakersוּמַלְשִׁינִיםfalse-accusersוְזוֹלְלִיםincontinentוְאַכְזָרִיםfierceוְשׂנְאֵיdespisers-ofטוֹב׃good

   Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

   וּמֹסְרִיםtraitorsוּפֹחֲזִיםheadyוּגְבֹהֵיhighmindedרוּחַof-spiritוְאֹהֲבֵיlovers-ofעֲדָנִיםpleasuresוְלֹאmore-than-lovers-ofאֱלֹהִים׃God

   Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

   וַאֲשֶׁרhavingדְּמוּתa-form-ofחֲסִידוּתgodlinessלָהֶםto-themוּמְכַחֲשִׁיםbut-denyingבְּכֹחָהּthe-power-thereofוְאַתָּהand-youסוּרturn-awayמֵאֵלֶּה׃from-such

   Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

   כִּי־מֵהֶםbecause-of-themהַמִּתְגַּנְּבִיםwhich-creepאֶל־הַבָּתִּיםinto-housesוְשֹׁבִיםand-lead-captiveנְעָרוֹתsilly-womenטְעוּנוֹתladen-withחֲטָאִיםsinsוְנִתְעוֹתled-awayבְּתַאֲוֹתwith-lustsשֹׁנוֹת׃divers

   For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

7. 7

   הַלּמְדוֹתever-learningתָּמִידcontinuallyוּלְעוֹלָםand-neverאֵינָןare-notיְכֹלוֹתableלָבוֹאto-comeלִידִיעַתto-the-knowledge-ofהָאֱמֶת׃the-truth

   Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

8. 8

   וּכְמוֹand-whenיַנִּיסJannesוְיַמְבְּרִיסand-Jambresאֲשֶׁר־קָמוּwho-withstoodעַל־משֶׁהMosesכֵּןthusגַּם־אֵלֶּהalso-theseמִתְקוֹמֲמִיםresistאֶל־הָאֱמֶתthe-truthאֲנָשִׁיםmenאֲשֶׁרwhichנִשְׁחֲתָהcorruptדַעְתָּםof-mindsוּנְלוֹזִיםreprobateבָּאֱמוּנָה׃in-the-faith

   Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

9. 9

   אֲבָלButלֹא־יוֹסִיפוּthey-shall-no-furtherלְהַצְלִיחַproceedכִּיbecauseשִׁגְעוֹנָםtheir-follyיִגָּלֶהshall-be-manifestלַכֹּלunto-allכַּאֲשֶׁרasקָרָהwasגַּם־אֶת־הָאֲנָשִׁיםalso-the-menהָהֵם׃those

   But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.

10. 10

    וְאַתָּהfor-youהָלַכְתָּhast-fully-knownאַחֲרַיmyבַּהוֹרָאָהdoctrineוּבַהַנְהָגָהmanner-of-lifeוּבָרָצוֹןpurposeוּבָאֱמוּנָהfaithוּבְאֹרֶךְlongsufferingהָרוּחַof-spiritוּבָאַהֲבָהcharityוּבַסַּבְלָנוּת׃patience

    But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,

    וּבָרְדִיפוֹתand-in-persecutionsוּבָעִנּוּיִםafflictionsאֲשֶׁרwhichמְצָאוּנִיcame-unto-meבְּאַנְטְיוֹכְיָאin-Antiochוּבְאִיקָנְיוֹןand-in-Iconiumוּבְלוּסְטְרָאand-in-LystraכַּמָּהwhatרְדִיפוֹתpersecutionsסָבַלְתִּיI-enduredוּמִכֻּלָּןbut-out-of-allהִצִּילַנִיdelivered-meהָאָדוֹן׃the-Lord

    Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.

12. 12

    וְכׇל־הַחֲפֵצִיםand-all-that-willבַּחֲסִידוּתgodlyוְלִחְיוֹתliveבַּמָּשִׁיחַin-the-MessiahיֵשׁוּעַJesusהֵמָּהtheyיֵרָדֵפוּ׃shall-suffer-persecution

    Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

13. 13

    וַאֲנָשִׁיםand-menרָעִיםevilוְקֹסְמִיםand-seducersיוֹסִיפוּshall-waxסָרָהworseלִהְיוֹתand-worseמַתְעִיםdeceivingוְנִתְעִים׃and-being-deceived

    But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

14. 14

    אֲבָלbutאַתָּהyouעֲמֹדcontinueבַּאֲשֶׁרin-whatלָמַדְתָּyou-hast-learnedוּבַאֲשֶׁרand-of-whatהׇפְקַדyou-wast-assuredאִתָּךְofכִּיbecauseיוֹדֵעַknowsאַתָּהyouמִי־הוּאof-whomאֲשֶׁרwhichלָמַדְתָּyou-hast-learnedמִמֶּנּוּ׃them

    But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

15. 15

    וּמִנְּעוּרֶיךָand-from-a-childיָדַעְתָּyou-hast-knownאֶת־כִּתְבֵיthe-writings-ofהַקֹּדֶשׁthe-Holyהַיְּכֹלִיםwhich-are-ableלְהַחְכִּימְךָto-make-you-wiseלַיְשׁוּעָהto-the-salvationעַל־יְדֵיby-means-ofהָאֱמוּנָהthe-faithבַּמָּשִׁיחַin-the-Messiahיֵשׁוּעַ׃Jesus

    And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16. 16

    כִּיbecauseכׇל־הַכָּתוּבall-scriptureנִכְתָּבis-given-by-inspirationבְּרוּחַby-the-Spirit-ofאֱלֹהִיםGodוּמוֹעִילand-profitableלְהוֹרֹתfor-doctrineוּלְהוֹכִיחַfor-reproofוּלְיַשֵּׁרfor-correctionוּלְהַדְרִיךְfor-instructionבְּמַעְגְּלֵיin-the-paths-ofצֶדֶק׃righteousness

    All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17. 17

    לְמַעַןin-order-thatאֲשֶׁר־יִהְיֶהthat-may-beאִישׁthe-manהָאֱלֹהִיםof-Godתָּמִיםperfectוּמוּכָןthroughly-furnishedלְכׇל־מַעֲשֶׂהto-all-a-workטוֹב׃good

    That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
