1. 1

   וְעוֹדand-againאַחַיmy-brothersהִתְפַּלֲלוּpray!בַעֲדֵנוּfor-usאֲשֶׁרwhichיָרוּץmay-have-free-courseדְּבַרthe-word-ofיְהוָֹהthe-Lordוְיִכָּבֵדand-be-glorifiedכְּהִכָּבְדוֹeven-as-it-isבְקִרְבְּכֶם׃among-you

   Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:

2. 2

   וַאֲשֶׁרand-whomנִנָּצֵלwe-may-be-deliveredמִן־הָאֲנָשִׁיםfrom-the-menהַתֹּעִיםunreasonableוְהָרָעִיםand-wickedכִּיbecauseלֹאnotלְכׇל־אָדָםunto-all-menהָאֱמוּנָה׃have-faith

   And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.

   אֲבָלbutנֶאֱמָןfaithfulהוּאheהָאָדוֹןthe-Lordאֲשֶׁרwhichיְחַזֵּקshall-stablishאֶתְכֶםyouוְיִשְׁמָרְכֶםand-keep-youמִן־הָרָע׃from-that-which-is-evil

   But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

   וַאֲנַחְנוּand-we-areבְּטוּחִיםhave-confidenceעֲלֵיכֶםin-youבַּאֲדֹנֵינוּin-the-Lordשֶׁעֹשִׂיםthat-you-doאַתֶּםyou-areכְּמִצְוָתֵנוּthe-things-which-we-commandוְגַם־תּוֹסִיפוּand-will-doלַעֲשׂוֹת׃to-do

   And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.

   וְהָאָדוֹןand-the-Lordהוּאheיְיַשֵּׁרdirectאֶת־לְבַבְכֶםyour-heartsלְאַהֲבַתto-love-ofהָאֱלֹהִיםthe-Godוּלְסַבְלָנוּתand-to-patienceהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃the-Messiah

   And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

   וְהִנְנוּand-behold-usמְצַוִּיםwe-commandאֶתְכֶםyouאַחִיםbrothersבְּשֵׁםby-nameאֲדֹנֵינוּour-LordיֵשׁוּעַJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַthe-Messiahאֲשֶׁרwhichתִּבָּדְלוּyou-withdraw-yourselvesמִכׇּל־אָחfrom-every-brotherמְעַקֵּשׁone who pervertsדְּרָכָיוHis-waysוְאֵינֶנּוּand-there-is-notמִתְהַלֵּךְwalkethעַל־פִּיaccording-toהַקַּבָּלָהthe-traditionאֲשֶׁרwhichקִבֵּלhe-receivedמֵאִתָּנוּ׃from-among-us

   Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

   הֲלֹאdo-notאַתֶּםyou-areיְדַעְתֶּםyou-knowשֶׁצְּרִיכִיםthat-oughtאַתֶּםyou-areלְהִתְהַלֵּךְto-walkכָּמֹנוּlike-usכִּיbecauseלֹא־הֶעֱוִינוּwe-behaved-not-ourselves-disorderlyאֶת־דַּרְכֵּנוּjourney-ourבְּתוֹכֲכֶם׃among-you

   For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

   גַּםalsoלֹא־אָכַלְנוּneither-did-we-eatלֶחֶםbreadאִישׁany-mansחִנָּםfor-noughtכִּיbecauseבְּעָמָלwith-laborוּתְלָאָהand-travailלַיְלָהnightוְיוֹמָםand-dayיָגַעְנוּwe-wroughtלְבִלְתִּיto-notהֱיוֹתhaveלְאִישׁfor-a-manמִכֶּםfrom-youלְמַשָׂא׃chargeable

   Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:

   לֹאnotמִפְּנֵיbecause-ofשֶׁאֵין־לָנוּbecause-we-have-noהָרְשׁוּתpowerהַזֹּאתthisכִּיbutאִםratherלָתֵתto-giveאֹתָנוּusלָכֶםto-youלְמוֹפֵתan-ensampleלָלֶכֶתto-goבְּעִקְּבוֹתֵינוּ׃in-the footprints of-our

   Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.

10. 10

    כִּיbecauseגַּם־בִּהְיוֹתֵנוּalso-when-were-weאֶצְלְכֶםwith-youצִוִּינוּwe-commandedאֶתְכֶםyouלֵאמֹרsayingאֲשֶׁרwhichלֹאnotיִרְצֶהis-pleasingלַעֲשׂוֹתworkגַּם־לֹאneitherיֹאכֵל׃shall-he-eat

    For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

11. 11

    כִּיbecauseשָׁמַעְנוּwe-hearשֶׁיֵּשׁthat-there-areבָּכֶםin-youמְעַקְּשִׁיםdisorderlyאָרְחֹתָםtheir-waysוְאֵינָםand-are-notעֹשִׂיםworkingדָּבָרat-allוּמְבַלִּיםbut-wastingיְמֵיהֶםtheir-daysבַּהֲבָלִים׃in-the-futilities

    For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

12. 12

    וַאֲנָשִׁיםand-menכָּאֵלֶּהsuch-as-theseנְצַוֶּהwe-commandאוֹתָםthemוְנַזְהִירֵםand-exhortבַּאֲדֹנֵינוּby-our-LordיֵשׁוּעַJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַthe-Messiahלַעֲבֹדthat-they-workבְּנַחַתwith-quietnessלְמַעַןin-order-thatיֹאכְלוּthey-may-eatאֶת־לַחְמָםbreadמִשֶּׁלָּהֶם׃their-own

    Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

13. 13

    וְאַתֶּםbut-youאֶחָיbrothers-myאַל־תִּתְרַפּוּbe-not-wearyבַּעֲשׂוֹתin-well-doingהַטּוֹב׃the-good

    But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.

14. 14

    וְאִםand-ifלֹא־יִשְׁמַעobey-notאִישׁa-manאֶל־דְּבָרֵנוּto-our-wordבָּאִגֶּרֶתin-the-letterהַזֹּאתthisאֹתוֹhimתִרְשְׁמוּnoteלָכֶםto-youוְאַל־תִּתְעָרֲבוּand-have-no-companyעִמּוֹwith-himלְמַעַןin-order-thatיֵבוֹשׁ׃be-ashamed

    And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

15. 15

    אַךְbutלֹא־כְאֹיֵבnot-as-an-enemyתַּחְשְׁבֻהוּcount-himכִּיbecauseאִם־תּוֹכִיחֻהוּbut-admonish-himכְּאָח׃like-a brother

    Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

16. 16

    וְהוּאnowאֲדוֹןthe-Lord-ofהַשָּׁלוֹםpeaceהוּאhimselfיִתֵּןgiveלָכֶםto-youהַשָּׁלוֹםthe-peaceתָּמִידcontinuallyוּבְכׇל־פָּנִיםby-all-meansיְהִיlet-this-beהָאָדוֹןthe-Lordעִם־כֻּלְּכֶם׃with-all-you

    Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.

17. 17

    שֹׁאֵלthe-salutation-ofלִשְׁלוֹמְכֶםyouבִּכְתָבby-the-hand-ofיָדִיmy-handאֲנִיIפוֹלוֹסPaulוְהִיאwhich-isהָאוֹתthe-tokenבְּכׇל־הָאִגְּרוֹתamong-all-the-lettersכֵּןthusאָנֹכִיIכֹתֵב׃writing

    The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.

18. 18

    חֶסֶדgraceיֵשׁוּעַJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַthe-Messiahאֲדֹנֵינוּour-Lordעִם־כֻּלְּכֶם׃with-all-you

    The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
