וְהִנְנוּand-behold-usמְבַקְשִׁיםbeseechמִכֶּםfrom-youאֶחָיbrothers-myעַל־אֹדוֹתbyבִּיאַתthe-coming-ofאֲדֹנֵינוּour-LordיֵשׁוּעַJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַthe-Messiahוַאֲסִיפָתֵנוּand-our-gathering-togetherאֵלָיו׃to-him
Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

אֲשֶׁרwhichלֹא־תִטָּרֵףnot-be-shakenדַּעְתְּכֶםin-mindפִּתְאֹםsoonוַאֲשֶׁרandלֹאnotתִּבָּהֵלוּbe-troubledלֹאneitherבְרוּחַby-spiritוְלֹאnorבְדִבּוּרby-wordוְלֹאand-notבְאִגֶּרֶתin-letterכְּאִלּוּas-thoughשְׁלוּחָהwhich has been sentמֵאִתָּנוּfrom-among-usלֵאמֹרsayingהִגִּיעַis-at-handיוֹםthe-day-ofיְהוָֹה׃the-Lord
That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

אַל־יַתְעֶהlet-no-man-deceiveאֶתְכֶםyouאִישׁa-manבְּשׁוּםby-anyאוֹפֶןmannerכִּיbecauseלֹא־יָבֹאshall-not-comeבְּטֶרֶםexceptיִהְיֶהcomeבָרִאשׁוֹנָהfirstהַמֶּרֶדa-falling-awayוְנִגְלָהand-be-revealedאִישׁthe-man-ofהָחַטָּאָהsinבֶּן־הָאֲבַדּוֹן׃the-son-of-perdition
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

הַמִּתְקוֹמֵםwho-opposethוְהַמִּתְרוֹמֵםand-exalteth-himselfעַל־כׇּל־הַנִּקְרָאabove-all-that-is-calledאֵלGodאוֹorעֲבוֹדָהthat-is-worshipedכִּיbecauseגַם־יֵשֵׁבso-that-he-sittethבְּהֵיכַלin-the temple ofהָאֱלֹהִיםthe-Godכֵּאלֹהִיםas-Godוּמַרְאֶהshewingאֶת־עַצְמוֹhimselfכִּיthatאֱלֹהִיםGodהוּא׃he-is
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

הֲלֹאdo-notתִזְכְּרוּyou-rememberכִּי־בְעוֹדbecause-in-yetהֱיוֹתִיbeing-Iאִתְּכֶםwith-youאֵלֶּהtheseדִּבַּרְתִּיI-toldאֲלֵיכֶם׃unto-you
Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

וְעַתָּהand-nowיְדַעְתֶּםyou-knowאֶת־אֲשֶׁרwhichיִמְנָעֵהוּwithholdethמִלְּהִגָּלוֹתthat-he-might-be-revealedבְּעִתּוֹ׃in-its-time
And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

כִּיbecauseסוֹדthe-mystery-ofהָרֶשַׁעiniquityכְּבָרalreadyהֵחֵלָּהdoth-workפְעֻלָּתוֹits-workingרַקonlyשֶׁיּוּסַרuntil-be-takenמִתָּוֶךְout-of-the-wayהַמֹּנֵעַhe-who-now-lettethעַד־כֹּה׃until-thus
For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

וְאָזand-thenיִגָּלֶהshall-be-revealedהָרָשָׁעthat-Wickedאֲשֶׁרwhomיְמִיתֶנּוּshall-consumeהָאָדוֹןthe-Lordבְּרוּחַwith-the-breath-ofשְׂפָתָיוhis-mouthוְיַשְׁבִּיתֶנּוּand-shall-destroyבְּהוֹפָעַתwith-the-brightness-ofבִּיאָתוֹ׃his-coming
And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

אֵת־אֲשֶׁרwhichיָבוֹאshall-comeכְּפִיaccording-toפְּעֻלַּתthe-working-ofהַשָּׂטָןSatanבְּרׇב־כֹּחַwith-all-powerוּבְאֹתוֹתand-signsוּבְמוֹפְתֵיand-wonders-ofשָׁקֶר׃lying
Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

וּבְכׇל־מִרְמַתand-in-all-deceit-ofאָוֶןiniquityבָּאֹבְדִיםin-them-that-perishתַּחַתbecauseאֲשֶׁרwhichלֹאnotקִבְּלוּreceivedאֶת־אַהֲבַתthe-love-ofהָאֱמֶתthe-truthלְהִוָּשֵׁעַ׃that-they-might-be-saved
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

וּבַעֲבוּרand-becauseזֹאתthisיְשַׁלַּחshall-sendלָהֶםto-themהָאֱלֹהִיםthe-Godמַדּוּחֵיstrong-delusionשָׁוְאof-errorלְהַאֲמִיןthat-they-should-believeבַּשָּׁקֶר׃in-the-falsehood
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

לְמַעַןin-order-thatיִדּוֹנוּmight-be-damnedכׇּל־אֲשֶׁרall-whoלֹא־הֶאֱמִינוּbelieved-notבָאֱמֶתthe-truthוְרָצוּbut-had-pleasureבָּעַוְלָה׃in-unrighteousness
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

אֲבָלbutאֲנַחְנוּweחַיָּבִיםare-boundלְהוֹדוֹתto-give-thanksתָּמִידcontinuallyלֵאלֹהִיםGodבַּעֲבוּרְכֶםfor-your-sakesאַחַיmy-brothersחֲבִיבֵיmy-belovedהָאָדוֹןthe-Lordאֲשֶׁרwhichמִבַּתְּחִלָּהfrom-the-beginningבָּחַרchoseבָּכֶםin-youהָאֱלֹהִיםthe-Godלִישׁוּעָהunto-salvationבִּקְדֻשַּׁתwith-the-holiness-ofהָרוּחַthe-Spiritוּבֶאֱמוּנַתand-in-faith-ofהָאֱמֶת׃the-true
But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

לָזֹאתto-thisקָרָאhe-calledאֶתְכֶםyouבִּבְשׂוֹרָתֵנוּby-our-gospelלְנַחֲלַתfor-the-inheritance-ofכְּבוֹדthe-glory-ofאֲדֹנֵינוּour-LordיֵשׁוּעַJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃the-Messiah
Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

לָכֵןthereforeאַחַיmy-brothersעִמְדוּstand-fastוְהַחֲזִיקוּand-holdבַקַּבָּלוֹתthe-traditionsאֲשֶׁרwhichלֻמַּדְתֶּםyou-have-been-taughtאִםwhetherבִּדְבָרֵנוּby-our-wordאִםorבְּאִגַּרְתֵּנוּ׃in-our-epistle
Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

וַאֲדֹנֵינוּand-lord-ourיֵשׁוּעַJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַthe-Messiahוֵאלֹהֵינוּand-God-ourאָבִינוּour-fatherאֲשֶׁרwhichאָהַבhath-lovedאֹתָנוּusוַיִּתֶּן־לָנוּand-hath-given-usבְחַסְדּוֹin-His-lovingkindnessנֶחָמַתconsolation-ofעוֹלָםeternalוְתִקְוָהand-hopeטוֹבָה׃good
Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

הוּאheיְנַחֵםcomfortאֶת־לְבַבְכֶםyour-heartsוִיכוֹנֵןand-stablishאֶתְכֶםyouבְּכׇל־דָּבָרin-every-wordוּמַעֲשֶׂהand-workטוֹב׃good
Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
