   We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;

   So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:

   וְהוּאve/HUwhich isאוֹתota signנִגְלֶהnig/LEa clearלְמִשְׁפַּט־צֶדֶקle/mish/PAT-TSE/dekof the righteous judgment ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatתֵּחָשְׁבוּte/cha/she/VUyou may be countedרְאוּיִיםre/u/YIMworthyלְמַלְכוּתle/mal/KHUTof the kingdom ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatבַּעֲבוּרָהּba/a/vu/RAfor its sakeגַּםgamalsoסֹבְלִיםsov/LIMsufferאַתֶּם׃at/TEMyou

   Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

   כִּיkiforצֶדֶקTSE/dekrighteousnessהוּאhuisלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלְשַׁלֵּםle/shal/LEMto repayצָרָהtsa/RAtribulationלְלֹחֲצֵיכֶם׃le/lo/cha/tse/KHEMto those who oppress you

   Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;

   וְלָכֶםve/la/KHEMand to youהַנִּלְחָצִיםhan/nil/cha/TSIMwho are oppressedמְנוּחָהme/nu/CHArestעִמָּנוּim/MA/nuwith usבְּהִגָּלוֹתbe/hig/ga/LOTwhen is revealedהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe LordיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusמִן־הַשָּׁמַיִםmin-hash/sha/MA/yimfrom heavenעִם־מַלְאֲכֵיim-mal/a/KHEwith the angels ofעֻזּוֹ׃uz/ZOhis might

   And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

   בְּאֵשׁbe/ESHin fire ofלֶהָבָהle/ha/VAflameלְהָשִׁיבle/ha/SHIVto returnנָקָםna/KAMvengeanceלַאֲשֶׁרla/a/SHERto those whoלֹא־יָדְעוּlo-ya/de/Udid not knowאֶת־הָאֱלֹהִיםet-ha/e/lo/HIMGodוְלֹאve/LOand notשָׁמְעוּsha/me/Ulistenedלִבְשׂוֹרַתliv/so/RATto the gospel ofאֲדֹנֵינוּa/do/NE/nuour LordיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃ham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiah

   In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

   אֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיֵעָנְשׁוּye/a/ne/SHUwill be punishedבְּשֶׁבֶרbe/SHE/verwith destructionעוֹלָםo/LAMeternityמִלִּפְנֵיmil/lif/NEfrom the presence ofהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe Lordוּמִכְּבוֹדu/mik/ke/VODand from the glory ofעֻזּוֹ׃uz/ZOhis might

   Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

10. 10

    בְּבוֹאוֹbe/vo/Owhen he comesלְהִכָּבֵדle/hik/ka/VEDto be glorifiedבִּקְדֹשָׁיוbik/do/SHAYVin his saintsוּלְהִפָּלֵאu/le/hip/pa/LEand to be marveled atבְּכׇל־הַמַּאֲמִינִיםbe/KHOL-ham/ma/a/mi/NIMin all who believeכִּיkiforנֶאֶמְנָהne/em/NAwas believedעֵדוּתֵנוּe/du/te/NUour testimonyבָּכֶםba/KHEMamong youבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin the dayהַהוּא׃ha/HUthat

    When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

    Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:

    לְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatיִכָּבֵדyik/ka/VEDmay be glorifiedשֵׁםshemthe name ofאֲדֹנֵינוּa/do/NE/nuour LordיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahבָּכֶםba/KHEMin youוְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMand youבּוֹboin himכְּפִיke/FIaccording toחֶסֶדCHE/sedthe grace ofאֱלֹהֵינוּe/lo/HE/nuour Godוְהָאָדוֹןve/ha/a/DONand the LordיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃ham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiah

    That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
