   Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

   As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

   וְלֹאve/LOand notיָשִׂימוּya/SI/musetלֵבlevheartלַבַּדִּיםlab/bad/DIMto fablesוּלְתוֹלָדוֹתu/le/to/la/DOTand genealogiesאֵין־קֵץen-ketswithout endלָהֶןla/HENto themהַמְּבִיאוֹתham/me/vi/OTwhich bringחִידוֹתchi/DOTriddlesוְלֹאve/LOand notבִּנְיַןbin/YANthe building ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich isבָּאֱמוּנָהba/e/mu/NAin faithכֵּןkensoעֲשֵׂה׃a/SEdo

   Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

   וְסוֹףve/SOFand the end ofהַמִּצְוָהham/mits/VAthe commandmentהוּאhuisהַחֶסֶדha/CHE/sedcharityמִלֵּבmil/LEVfrom the heartטָהוֹרta/HORpureוּמִלֵּבu/mil/LEVand from a heartטוֹבtovgoodוּמֵאֱמוּנָהu/me/e/mu/NAand from faithבְּלִיbe/LIwithoutחֲנֻפָּה׃cha/nup/PAhypocrisy

   Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

   אֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoמֵהֶםme/HEMof themתָּעוּta/Ustrayedאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenוַיָּסוּרוּvay/ya/SU/ruand departedאֶל־דִּבְרֵיel-div/REto the words ofהָבֶל׃HA/velvanity

   From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;

   חֲפֵצִיםcha/fe/TSIMwantingלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beמוֹרֵיmo/REteachers ofתוֹרָהto/RAthe lawוְאֵינָםve/e/NAMand do notמְבִינִיםme/vi/NIMunderstandingמָהmawhatהֵםhemtheyאֹמְרִיםom/RIMsayוְלֹאve/LOnorעַל־מָהal-maabout whatהֵםhemtheyמְעִידִים׃me/i/DIMtestify

   Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

   וַאֲנַחְנוּva/a/NACH/nubut weיָדַעְנוּya/DA/nuwe knowכִּיkithatטוֹבָהto/VAis goodהַתּוֹרָהhat/to/RAthe lawאִם־יַעֲבֹדim-ya/a/VODif he usesבָּהּbaitאִישׁisha manכַּמִּשְׁפָּט׃kam/mish/PATaccording to the rule

   But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;

   בְּדַעְתּוֹbe/da/TOknowingזֹאתzotthisכִּיkibutלֹאlonotלַצַּדִּיקlats/tsad/DIKfor the righteousנִתְּנָהnit/te/NAwas givenהַתּוֹרָהhat/to/RAthe lawכִּיkibutאִם־לַפֹּשְׁעִיםim-lap/posh/IMrather for the transgressorsוְלַמֹּרְדִיםve/lam/mor/DIMand the rebelliousלָרְשָׁעִיםla/re/sha/IMfor the wickedוְלַחַטָּאִיםve/la/chat/ta/IMand for sinnersלַטְּמֵאִיםlat/te/me/IMfor the uncleanוְלַחֲלָלִיםve/la/cha/la/LIMand the profaneלְהֹרְגֵיle/hor/GEfor murderers ofאָבוֹתa/VOTfathersוּלְהֹרְגֵיu/le/hor/GEand murderers ofאִמּוֹתim/MOTmothersלָרֹצְחִים׃la/rots/CHIMfor murderers

   Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

    לַזֹּנִיםlaz/zo/NIMfor fornicatorsלְשֹׁכְבֵיle/SHOKH/vefor those who lie withזָכָרza/KHARmaleלְגֹנְבֵיle/gon/VEfor stealers ofנֶפֶשׁNE/fesha soulלַכֹּזְבִיםlak/koz/VIMfor liarsלַנִּשְׁבָּעִיםlan/nish/ba/IMfor those who swearלַשָּׁקֶרlash/SHA/kerfalselyוְאִם־יֵשׁve/IM-yeshand if there isדָּבָרda/VARanythingאַחֵרa/CHERotherאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isנֶגֶדNE/gedagainstהַלֶּקַחhal/LE/kachthe teachingהַתָּמִים׃hat/ta/MIMthe sound

    For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

    כְּפִיke/FIaccording toבְשׂוֹרַתve/so/RATthe gospel ofכְּבוֹדke/VODthe glory ofהָאֵלha/ELGodהַמְבֹרָךְham/vo/RAKHblessedאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatהׇפְקְדָהhof/ke/DAwas entrustedבְּיָדִי׃be/ya/DIinto my hand

    According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

12. 12

    וּמוֹדֶהu/mo/DEand gives thanksאֲנִיa/NIIלַמָּשִׁיחַlam/Ma/SHI/achto the MessiahיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusאֲדֹנֵינוּa/do/NE/nuour Lordהַמְאַזְּרֵנִיham/az/ze/RE/niwho girded meחָיִלCHA/yilwith strengthכִּיkiforחֲשָׁבַנִיcha/sha/va/NIHe counted meנֶאֱמָןne/e/MANfaithfulוַיְשִׂימֵנִיvay/si/ME/niand set meלַשֵּׁרוּת׃lash/she/RUTto the ministry

    And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;

13. 13

    אֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoמִלְּפָנִיםmil/le/fa/NIMformerlyהָיִיתִיha/YI/tiwasמְגַדֵּףme/gad/DEFa revilerוּמְרַדֵּףu/me/rad/DEFand a persecutorוּמְחָרֵףu/me/cha/REFand an insulterאֲבָלa/VALbutרֻחַמְתִּיru/cham/TII was shown mercyכִּיkiforעָשִׂיתִיa/SI/tiI did itבִּבְלִי־דַעַתbiv/LI-DA/atwithout knowledgeבְּחֶסְרוֹןbe/ches/RONin lack ofאֱמוּנָה׃e/mu/NAfaith

    Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

14. 14

    וַיִּגְדַּלvay/yig/DALand grew greatבִּמְאֹדbim/ODexceedinglyמְאֹדme/ODexceedinglyחֶסֶדCHE/sedthe grace ofאֲדֹנֵינוּa/do/NE/nuour Lordעִם־הָאֱמוּנָהim-ha/e/mu/NAwith faithוְהָאַהֲבָהve/ha/a/ha/VAand loveאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich isבַּמָּשִׁיחַbam/Ma/SHI/achin the Messiahיֵשׁוּעַ׃Ye/SHU/aJesus

    And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

15. 15

    נֶאֱמָןne/e/MANfaithfulהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARis the wordוְרָאוּיve/ra/UYand worthyלַכֹּלlak/KOLof allלְקַבְּלוֹle/kab/be/LOto receive itכִּיkithatהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe MessiahיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusבָּאbacameלָעוֹלָםla/o/LAMinto the worldלְהוֹשִׁיעַle/ho/SHI/ato saveחַטָּאִיםchat/ta/IMsinnersאֲשֶׁרa/SHERof whomאָנֹכִיa/no/KHII amרֹאשָׁם׃ro/SHAMtheir chief

    This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

16. 16

    אַךְakhbutבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURforזֹאתzotthisרֻחַמְתִּיru/cham/TII was shown mercyלְמַעַןle/MA/ansoיַרְאֶהyar/Emight showבִּיbiin meבָרִאשׁוֹנָהva/ri/sho/NAfirstיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahאֶת־כׇּל־אֹרֶךְet-kol-O/rekhall the length ofאַפּוֹap/POHis angerלְתַבְנִיתle/tav/NITas a patternלַאֲשֶׁרla/a/SHERto those whoיַאֲמִינוּya/a/MI/nuwould believeבוֹvoon himאַחֲרֵי־כֵןa/cha/RE-khenafterwardלְחַיֵּיle/chay/YEto the life ofעוֹלָם׃o/LAMeternity

    Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

17. 17

    וְלַמֶּלֶךְve/Lam/ME/lekhand to the Kingעוֹלָםo/LAMeternalאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoלֹאlonotיָמוּתya/MUTdiesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoלֹאlonotיֵרָאֶהye/ra/Eis seenהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodהֶחָכָםhe/cha/KHAMwiseלְבַדּוֹle/vad/DOaloneלוֹloto Himהַהָדָרha/ha/DARthe honorוְהַכָּבוֹדve/hak/ka/VODand gloryלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMfor everוָעֶדva/EDand everאָמֵן׃a/MENamen

    Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

18. 18

    אֶת־הַמִּצְוָהet-ham/mits/VAthe commandהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisמַפְקִידmaf/KIDI entrustאֲנִיa/NIIבְּיָדְךָbe/ya/de/KHAinto your handבְּנִיbe/NImy sonטִימוֹתִיּוֹסTi/mo/tiy/YOSTimothyכְּפִיke/FIaccording toהַנְּבוּאוֹתhan/ne/vu/OTthe propheciesהַקֹּדְמוֹתhak/kod/MOTwhich went beforeעָלֶיךָa/LE/khaabout youלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתִּלָּחֵםtil/la/CHEMyou may fightבָּהֶןba/HENby themמִלְחָמָהmil/cha/MAwarטוֹבָה׃to/VAa good

    This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;

19. 19

    וְאֹחֵזve/o/CHEZholdingבָּאֱמוּנָהba/e/mu/NAfaithוּבְלֵבu/ve/LEVand a heartטוֹבtovgoodאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהֵסִירוּhe/SI/ruthey put awayאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenוַתִּשָּׁבֵרvat/tish/sha/VERand was wreckedאֳנִיַּתo/niy/YATthe ship ofאֱמוּנָתָם׃e/mu/na/TAMtheir faith

    Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:

20. 20

    וּמֵהֶםu/me/HEMand of themהוּמְנִיּוֹסHum/niy/YOSHymenaeusוַאֲלֶכְסַנְדְּרוֹסva/A/lekh/san/de/ROSand Alexanderאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomמְסַרְתִּיםme/sar/TIMI deliveredלַשָּׂטָןlas/Sa/TANto Satanלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatיִלְמְדוּyil/me/DUthey may learnלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TInotגַדֵּף׃gad/DEFto revile

    Of whom is Hymenæus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
