   וְהִנְנוּve/hin/NUand behold weמוֹדִיעִיםmo/di/IMmake knownאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMto youאֶחָיe/CHAYmy brothersאֶת־חֶסֶדet-CHE/sedthe grace ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנִתַּןnit/TANwas givenלִקְהִלּוֹתlik/hil/LOTto the churches ofמַקְדּוֹנְיָא׃Mak/don/YAMacedonia

   Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;

2. 2

   כִּיkibecauseבְּבֹחַןbe/VO/chanin the trial ofצָרָהtsa/RAtroubleגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatרֹבrovthe greatness ofשִׂמְחָתָםsim/cha/TAMtheir joyוְרִישָׁםve/ri/SHAMand their povertyהָעָמֹקha/a/MOKthe deepרָבוּra/VUaboundedלְעֹשֶׁרle/O/sherto the riches ofנִדְבָתָם׃nid/va/TAMtheir willingness

   How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

   כִּיkibecauseמֵעִידme/IDtestifyאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatכְּכֹחָםke/kho/CHAMaccording to their powerוְיוֹתֵרve/yo/TERand moreמִכֹּחָםmik/ko/CHAMthan their powerהִתְנַדָּבוּhit/nad/da/VUthey gave freelyמִלִּבָּם׃mil/lib/BAMfrom their heart

   For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves;

4. 4

   וַיְבַקְשׁוּvay/vak/SHUand they askedמִמֶּנּוּmim/MEN/nuof usבְּרׇב־תַּחֲנוּנִיםbe/ROV-ta/cha/nu/NIMwith much entreatyלָקַחַתla/KA/chatto receiveאֶת־הַמַּתָּנָהet-ham/mat/ta/NAthe giftוְלָשֵׂאתve/la/SETand to takeאֶת־חֶבְרַתet-chev/RATthe fellowship ofהַשֵּׁרוּתhash/she/RUTthe serviceלַקְּדֹשִׁים׃lak/ke/do/SHIMfor the saints

   Praying us with much entreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

   וְזֹאתve/ZOTand thisעָשׂוּa/SUthey didלֹאlonotכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasהוֹחַלְנוּho/chal/NUwe hopedכִּיkibutבַּתְּחִלָּהbat/te/chil/LAfirstנָתְנוּna/te/NUthey gaveאֶת־נַפְשָׁםet-naf/SHAMtheir soulלָאָדוֹןla/a/DONto the Lordוְגַם־לָנוּve/GAM-LA/nuand also to usבִּרְצוֹןbir/TSONby the will ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

   And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

   עַדadso thatכִּיkithatבִּקַּשְׁנוּbik/kash/NUwe askedמִטִּיטוֹסmit/Ti/TOSof Titusכִּיkithatכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasהֵחֵלhe/CHELhe beganכֵּןkensoיְכַלֶּהye/khal/LEhe would completeבָּכֶםba/KHEMamong youגַּםgamalsoאֶת־הַחֶסֶדet-ha/CHE/sedthe graceהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

   Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also.

7. 7

   וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasהוֹתַרְתֶּםho/tar/TEMyou aboundבַּכֹּלbak/KOLin allבֶּאֱמוּנָהbe/e/mu/NAin faithוּבְאֹמֶרu/ve/O/merand in wordוּבְדַעַתu/ve/DA/atand in knowledgeוּבְכׇל־חֲרִיצוּתu/ve/KHOL-cha/ri/TSUTand in all diligenceוּבְאַהֲבַתְכֶםu/ve/a/ha/vat/KHEMand in your loveאֹתָנוּo/TA/nufor usכֵּןkensoגַּם־תּוֹתִירוּgam-to/TI/rumay you also aboundבַּחֶסֶדba/CHE/sedin the kindnessהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

   Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.

8. 8

   לֹאlonotכְּמִצְוָהke/mits/VAas a commandmentאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayingכִּיkibutאִם־בַּעֲבוּרim-ba/a/VURrather for the sake ofחֲרִיצוּתcha/ri/TSUTthe diligence ofאֲחֵרִיםa/che/RIMothersוְלִבְחֹןve/liv/CHONand to proveאֶת־יֹשֶׁרet-YO/sherthe sincerity ofאַהֲבַתְכֶם׃a/ha/vat/KHEMyour love

   I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.

   כִּי־יֹדְעִיםki-yod/IMfor knowאַתֶּםat/TEMyouאֶת־חֶסֶדet-CHE/sedthe grace ofאֲדֹנֵינוּa/do/NE/nuour LordיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahכִּיkithatבִּהְיוֹתוֹbih/yo/TOwhen he wasעָשִׁירa/SHIRrichנַעֲשָׂהna/a/SAhe becameרָשׁrashpoorבַּעֲבוּרְכֶםba/a/vur/KHEMfor your sakeלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתַּעֲשִׁירוּta/a/shi/RUyou might become richעַל־יְדֵיal-ye/DEthroughרִישׁוֹ׃ri/SHOhis poverty

   For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

    וּבָזֹאתu/va/ZOTand by thisעֵצָהe/TSAcounselאֲנִיa/NIIנֹתֵןno/TENgiveכִּיkiforזֹאתzotthisמוֹעִילָהmo/i/LAis profitableלָכֶםla/KHEMfor youאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatהַחִלֹּתֶםha/chil/lo/TEMyou beganלְפָנִיםle/fa/NIMbeforeלֹאlonotלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doלְבַדle/VADonlyכִּיkibutגַּם־לַחְפֹּץgam-lach/POTSalso to desireזֶהzethisשָׁנָה׃sha/NAa year

    And herein I give my advice: for this is expedient for you, who have begun before, not only to do, but also to be forward a year ago.

11. 11

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowהַשְׁלִימוּhash/li/MUcompleteאֶת־הַמַּעֲשֶׂהet-ham/ma/a/SEthe workלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasהִתְנַדַּבְתֶּםhit/nad/dav/TEMyou were willingלַחְפֹּץlach/POTSto desireכֵּןkensoתַּשְׁלִימוּtash/li/MUyou may completeגַםgamalsoמֵאֲשֶׁרme/a/SHERfrom whatלָכֶם׃la/KHEMyou have

    Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have.

12. 12

    כִּיkibecauseאִם־יֵשׁim-yeshif there isרִאשֹׁנָהri/sho/NAfirstרוּחַRU/acha spiritנְדִיבָהne/di/VAwillingרְצוּיָהre/tsu/YAacceptableהִיאhiit isכְּפִיke/FIaccording toאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלְאִישׁle/ISHto a manוְלֹאve/LOand notכְּפִיke/FIaccording toאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאֵיןennotלוֹ׃loto him

    For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.

13. 13

    כִּיkibecauseלֹאlonotאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tiI saidכִּיkithatיִהְיֶהyih/YEwill beלַאֲחֵרִיםla/a/che/RIMfor othersרְוָחָהre/va/CHAreliefוְלָכֶםve/la/KHEMand for youצָרָה׃tsa/RAtrouble

    For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened:

14. 14

    כִּיkibutאִם־בְּמִישׁוֹרim-be/mi/SHORrather by evennessלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatבָּעֵתba/ETat the timeהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisעַתָּהat/TAnowיִתְרְכֶםyit/re/KHEMyour surplusיְמַלֵּאye/mal/LEmay fillאֶת־מַחְסוֹרָםet-mach/so/RAMtheir lackלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatגַּםgamalsoיִתְרָםyit/RAMtheir abundanceיְמַלֵּאye/mal/LEmay fillאֶת־מַחְסֹרְכֶםet-mach/sor/KHEMyour lackלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִהְיֶהyih/YEmay beמִישׁוֹר׃mi/SHORevenness

    But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality:

15. 15

    כַּכָּתוּבkak/ka/TUVas it is writtenלֹאlonotהֶעְדִּיףhe/DIFhad too muchהַמַּרְבֶּהham/mar/BEthe one who gathered muchוְהַמַּמְעִיטve/ham/mam/ITand the one who gathered littleלֹאlonotהֶחְסִיר׃hech/SIRlacked

    As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.

16. 16

    וְתוֹדָהve/to/DAand thanksלֵאלֹהִיםle/lo/HIMto Godהַנֹּתֵןhan/no/TENwho putאֶת־הַחֲרִיצוּתet-ha/cha/ri/TSUTthe diligenceהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisבְּלֵבbe/LEVinto the heart ofטִיטוֹסTi/TOSTitusבַּעַדְכֶם׃ba/ad/KHEMfor you

    But thanks be to God, which put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you.

17. 17

    כִּיkibecauseאׇמְנָםom/NAMindeedקִבֵּלkib/BELhe receivedאֶת־הַמּוּסָרet-ham/mu/SARthe exhortationוּבִהְיוֹתוֹu/vih/yo/TOand beingחָרוּץcha/RUTSdiligentיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreהָלַךְha/LAKHhe wentאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMto youמִלִּבּוֹ׃mil/lib/BOfrom his heart

    For indeed he accepted the exhortation; but being more forward, of his own accord he went unto you.

18. 18

    וְשָׁלַחְנוּve/sha/lach/NUand we have sentעִמּוֹim/MOwith himאֶת־הָאָחet-ha/ACHthe brotherאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoseתְּהִלָּתוֹte/hil/la/TOis his praiseבַּבְּשׂוֹרָהbab/be/so/RAin the gospelבְּכׇל־הַקְּהִלּוֹת׃be/KHOL-hak/ke/hil/LOTin all the churches

    And we have sent with him the brother, whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches;

19. 19

    וְלֹאve/LOand notזֹאתzotthisלְבַדle/VADonlyכִּיkibutאִם־גַּםim-gamrather alsoנִבְחַרniv/CHARwas chosenמֵאֵתme/ETofהַקְּהִלּוֹתhak/ke/hil/LOTthe churchesלָלֶכֶתla/LE/khetto travelאִתָּנוּit/TA/nuwith usעִם־הַחֶסֶדim-ha/CHE/sedwith the graceהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich isאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweמְשָׁרְתִיםme/sha/re/TIMservingבּוֹboin itלִכְבוֹדlikh/VODto the glory ofהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe Lordהַהוּאha/HUthatוּלְהַרְאוֹתu/le/har/OTand to showנִדְבַתnid/VATthe willingness ofלִבְּכֶם׃lib/be/KHEMyour heart

    And not that only, but who was also chosen of the churches to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and declaration of your ready mind:

20. 20

    וְנִשְׁמָרִיםve/nish/ma/RIMand guarding ourselvesאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweמִזֹּאתmiz/ZOTthan thisפֶּןpenlestיוֹצִיאyo/TSIbring outאִישׁisha manעָלֵינוּa/LE/nuagainst usדִּבָּהdib/BAa reportבַּשִּׁפְעָהbash/shif/Ain abundanceהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich isאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweמְשָׁרְתִיםme/sha/re/TIMservingבָּהּ׃bain it

    Avoiding this, that no man should blame us in this abundance which is administered by us:

21. 21

    כִּיkiforדֹרְשִׁיםdor/SHIMseekingאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweאֶת־הַטּוֹבet-hat/TOVthe goodלֹאlonotלְבַדle/VADonlyבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe Lordכִּיkibutאִם־גַּםim-gamrather alsoבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofאָדָם׃a/DAMmen

    Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.

22. 22

    וְשָׁלַחְנוּve/sha/lach/NUand we have sentעִמָּהֶםim/ma/HEMwith themאֶת־אָחִינוּet-a/CHI/nuour brotherאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomבְּחַנּוּהוּbe/chan/nu/HUwe tested himפְּעָמִיםpe/a/MIMtimesרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyכִּי־חָרוּץki-cha/RUTSfor diligentהוּאhuhe isבִּדְבָרִיםbid/va/RIMin thingsרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyוְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowחָרוּץcha/RUTSdiligentהוּאhuhe isיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreמְאֹדme/ODmuchבְּרֹבbe/ROVin the greatness ofהַבִּטָּחוֹןhab/bit/ta/CHONthe confidenceאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלִיliI haveבָּכֶם׃ba/KHEMin you

    And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have oftentimes proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, upon the great confidence which I have in you.

23. 23

    אִםimwhetherיִשְׁאַלyish/ALasksאִישׁishanyעַל־טִיטוֹסal-Ti/TOSof Titusחֲבֵרִיcha/ve/RImy companionהוּאhuheוְעֹזְרִיve/oz/RIand my helperבָכֶםva/KHEMamong youאוֹoorעַל־אַחֵינוּal-a/CHE/nuour brothersיִשָּׁאֵלyish/sha/ELbe askedשְׁלוּחֵיshe/lu/CHEthe envoys ofהַקְּהִלּוֹתhak/ke/hil/LOTthe churchesהֵםhemtheyוְתִפְאֶרֶתve/tif/E/retand the glory ofהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃ham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiah

    Whether any do inquire of Titus, he is my partner and fellowhelper concerning you: or our brethren be inquired of, they are the messengers of the churches, and the glory of Christ.

24. 24

    עַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeהַרְאוּhar/Ushowלָהֶםla/HEMto themוְלִפְנֵיve/lif/NEand beforeהַקְּהִלּוֹתhak/ke/hil/LOTthe churchesאֶת־בֹּחַןet-BO/chanthe proof ofאַהֲבַתְכֶםa/ha/vat/KHEMyour loveוּתְהִלָּתֵנוּu/te/hil/la/te/NUand our boastבַּעַדְכֶם׃ba/ad/KHEMfor you

    Wherefore shew ye to them, and before the churches, the proof of your love, and of our boasting on your behalf.
