   Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?

   אַתֶּםat/TEMyou areאִגַּרְתֵּנוּig/gar/te/NUour letterהַכְּתוּבָהhak/ke/tu/VAwrittenבִּלְבָבֵנוּbil/va/VE/nuin our heartsוְנוֹדָעָהve/no/da/Aand knownוְנִקְרָאָהve/nik/ra/Aand readלְכׇל־אָדָם׃le/KHOL-a/DAMto every man

   Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:

   בַּאֲשֶׁרba/a/SHERsinceנִגְלֵיתֶםnig/le/TEMyou are revealedלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beאִגֶּרֶתig/GE/reta letter ofהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich isבְּשֵׁרוּתֵנוּbe/she/ru/te/NUby our ministryכְּתוּבָהke/tu/VAwrittenלֹאlonotבַדְּיוֹvad/de/YOwith inkכִּיkibutאִם־בְּרוּחַim-Be/RU/achrather with the Spirit ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodחַיִּיםchay/YIMthe livingלֹאlonotעַל־לֻחוֹתal-lu/CHOTin tables ofאֶבֶןE/venstoneכִּיkibutאִם־עַל־לֻחוֹתim-al-lu/CHOTrather on tablets ofלֵבlevheartבָּשָׂר׃ba/SARflesh

   Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

   וּבִטָּחוֹןu/vit/ta/CHONand confidenceכָּזֶהka/ZEsuchלָנוּLA/nuto usעַל־יְדֵיal-ye/DEthroughהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahאֶל־הָאֱלֹהִים׃el-ha/e/lo/HIMto God

   And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:

   לֹאlonotכִּיkibutכְשֵׁרִיםkhe/she/RIMsufficientאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuwe areבְּכֹחֵנוּbe/kho/che/NUby our strengthלַחְשֹׁבlach/SHOVto thinkדָּבָרda/VARa thingמִלִּבֵּנוּmil/lib/BE/nufrom our heartכִּיkibutכִשְׁרוֹנֵנוּkhish/ro/ne/NUour fitnessמֵאֵתme/ETis ofהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMGod

   Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;

   אֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoגַּם־הִכְשִׁירָנוּgam-hikh/shi/ra/NUalso has made us ableלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beמְשָׁרְתֵיme/sha/re/TEministers ofבְּרִיתbe/RITthe covenantחֲדָשָׁהcha/da/SHAnewלֹאlonotבְרִיתve/RITa covenantהַכְּתָבhak/ke/TAVthe letterכִּיkibutאִם־בְּרִיתim-be/RITrather of a covenantהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe Spiritכִּיkiforהַכְּתָבhak/ke/TAVthe letterמֵמִיתme/MITkillsוְהָרוּחַve/Ha/RU/achand the Spiritמְחַיֶּה׃me/chay/YEgives life

   Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

   וְאִםve/IMbut ifשֵׁרוּתshe/RUTthe service ofהַמָּוֶתham/MA/vetdeathהַכְּתוּבָהhak/ke/tu/VAwrittenוְהַחֲרוּתָהve/ha/cha/ru/TAand engravenעַל־אֲבָנִיםal-a/va/NIMon stonesהָיְתָהha/ye/TAwasבְכָבוֹדve/kha/VODin gloryעַדadsoאֲשֶׁר־לֹאa/SHER-lothat notיָכְלוּya/khe/LUcouldבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלְהַבִּיטle/hab/BITlookאֶל־פְּנֵיel-pe/NEthe face ofמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofכְּבוֹדke/VODthe glory ofפָּנָיוpa/NAYVhis faceהָעֹבֵר׃ha/o/VERthat was passing

   But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:

8. 8

   אַףafmuchכִּי־שֵׁרוּתki-she/RUTfor the service ofהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe Spiritתִּהְיֶהtih/YEwill beבְּכָבוֹד׃be/kha/VODin glory

   How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?

9. 9

   כִּיkibecauseאִם־שֵׁרוּתim-she/RUTif the service ofהָאַשְׁמָהha/ash/MAthe condemnationכָּבוֹדka/VODgloryאַףafmuch moreכִּי־שֵׁרוּתki-she/RUTfor the service ofהַצְּדָקָהhats/tse/da/KArighteousnessתִּגְדַּלtig/DALis greaterבְּכָבוֹד׃be/kha/VODin glory

   For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.

10. 10

    כִּיkibecauseגַם־הַנִּכְבָּדgam-han/nikh/BADeven the glorifiedלֹאlonoנִכְבַּדnikh/BADwas glorifiedבָּזֶהba/ZEin thisמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofהַכָּבוֹדhak/ka/VODthe gloryהַגָּדוֹל׃hag/ga/DOLthe greater

    For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.

11. 11

    כִּיkibecauseאִם־הָעֹבֵרim-ha/o/VERif that which is done awayהָיָהha/YAwasבְכָבוֹדve/kha/VODin gloryאַףafmuch moreכִּי־הָעֹמֵדki-ha/o/MEDfor what remainsבְּכָבוֹד׃be/kha/VODin glory

    For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.

12. 12

    עַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeבִּהְיוֹתbih/YOTin there beingלָנוּLA/nuto usתִּקְוָהtik/VAhopeכָּזֹאתka/ZOTsuchפִּתְחוֹןpit/CHONan opening ofפֶּהpemouthרַבravgreatלָנוּ׃LA/nuto us

    Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:

13. 13

    וְלֹאve/LOand notכְמֹשֶׁהkhe/Mo/SHEas Mosesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoנָתַןna/TANputמַסְוֶהmas/VEa veilעַל־פָּנָיוal-pa/NAYVover his faceלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIthat notיוּכְלוּyukh/LUcouldבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלְהַבִּיטle/hab/BITto lookאֶל־קֵץel-ketsto the end ofהָעֹבֵר׃ha/o/VERthat was passing

    And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not steadfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:

14. 14

    אֲבָלa/VALbutהֻכּוּhuk/KUwere struckבַעִוָּרוֹןva/iv/va/RONwith blindnessמַחְשְׁבוֹתָםmach/she/vo/TAMtheir thoughtsכִּיkiforעַד־הַיּוֹםad-hay/YOMuntil the dayהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisעֹמֵדo/MEDremainsהַמַּסְוֶהham/mas/VEthe veilהַהוּאha/HUthatבְּמִקְרָאbe/mik/RAin the reading ofהַבְּרִיתhab/be/RITthe covenantהַיְשָׁנָהhay/sha/NAoldוְלֹאve/LOand notהוּסַרhu/SARtaken awayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבַּמָּשִׁיחַbam/Ma/SHI/achin the Messiahיַעֲבֹר׃ya/a/VORpasses

    But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which veil is done away in Christ.

15. 15

    אֲבָלa/VALbutעַד־הַיּוֹםad-hay/YOMuntil the dayהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisבְּהִקָּרֵאbe/hik/ka/REwhen is readמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesהַמַּסְוֶהham/mas/VEthe veilעַל־לִבָּם׃al-lib/BAMupon their heart

    But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart.

16. 16

    אַךְakhbutכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenיָשׁוּבya/SHUVit turnsאֶל־הָאָדוֹןel-ha/a/DONto the Lordיוּסַרyu/SARwill be removedהַמַּסְוֶה׃ham/mas/VEthe veil

    Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away.

17. 17

    הָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe Lordהוּאhuisהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe Spiritוּבַאֲשֶׁרu/va/a/SHERand whereרוּחַRU/achthe Spirit ofהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe Lordשָׁםshamthere isדְּרוֹר׃de/RORliberty

    Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

18. 18

    וַאֲנַחְנוּva/a/NACH/nuand weכֻלָּנוּkhul/LA/nuall of usבְּפָנִיםbe/fa/NIMwith faceמְגֻלִּיםme/gul/LIMuncoveredרֹאִיםro/IMseeכְּבַמַּרְאָהke/vam/mar/Aas in a mirrorאֶת־כְּבוֹדet-ke/VODthe glory ofהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe Lordנֶהְפָּכִיםneh/pa/KHIMare changedלַצֶּלֶםlats/TSE/lemto the imageהַהוּאha/HUthatמִכָּבוֹדmik/ka/VODfrom gloryלְכָבוֹדle/kha/VODto gloryכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHEReven asמֵאֵתme/ETbyרוּחַRU/achthe Spirit ofהָאָדוֹן׃ha/a/DONthe Lord

    But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
