   לְהִתְהַלֵּלle/hit/hal/LELto boastאָכֵןa/KHENdoubtlessלֹאlonotיוֹעִילyo/ILit profitsלִיlifor meאָבוֹאa/VOI will comeאֶל־מַרְאוֹתel-mar/OTto visionsוְחֶזְיֹנוֹתve/chez/yo/NOTand revelations ofהָאָדוֹן׃ha/a/DONthe Lord

   It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.

   יָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowאִישׁisha manבַּמָּשִׁיחַbam/Ma/SHI/achin the Messiahזֶהzethisאַרְבַּע־עֶשְׂרֵהar/BA-es/REfourteenשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsאִם־בַּגּוּףim-bag/GUFwhether in the bodyלֹאlonotיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowאִם־מִחוּץim-mi/CHUTSor outsideלַגּוּףlag/GUFthe bodyלֹאlonotיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodיוֹדֵעַyo/DE/aknowsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoנִשָּׂאnis/SAwas caught upעַד־הַשָּׁמַיִםad-hash/sha/MA/yimto heavenהַשְּׁלִישִׁים׃hash/she/li/SHIMthe third

   I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.

   וְיָדַעְתִּיve/ya/DA/tiand I knewאֶת־הָאִישׁet-ha/ISHthe manהַהוּאha/HUthatאִם־בַּגּוּףim-bag/GUFwhether in the bodyאִם־מִחוּץim-mi/CHUTSor outsideלַגּוּףlag/GUFthe bodyלֹאlonotיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodיוֹדֵעַ׃yo/DE/aknows

   And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)

   כִּיkihow thatנִשָּׂאnis/SAwas caught upאֶל־גַּן־עֵדֶןel-Gan-E/deninto the garden of Edenוַיִּשְׁמַעvay/yish/MAand heardדְּבָרִיםde/va/RIMwordsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹא־נִתַּןlo-nit/TANit is not permittedלְדַבֵּרle/dab/BERto speakאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאֲסוּרִיםa/su/RIMforbiddenלְאָדָםle/a/DAMfor a manלְמַלְּלָם׃le/mal/le/LAMto utter

   How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

   בָּאִישׁba/ISHin the manהַהוּאha/HUthatאֶתְהַלֵּלet/hal/LELI will boastאֲבָלa/VALbutבְּנַפְשִׁיbe/naf/SHIin myselfלֹאlonotאֶתְהַלֵּלet/hal/LELI will boastכִּיkibutאִם־בְּחׇלְיִי׃im-be/chol/YIrather in my weaknesses

   Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities.

   כִּיkiforאִם־אַחְפֹּץim-ach/POTSif I wantedלְהִתְהַלֵּלle/hit/hal/LELto boastלֹאlonotאֶהְיֶהeh/YEI will beסָכָלsa/KHALa foolכִּיkiforאֱמֶתe/METthe truthאֲדַבֵּרa/dab/BERI would speakאֲבָלa/VALbutאֶתְאַפַּקet/ap/PAKI refrainפֶּןpenlestיַחְשְׁבֵנִיyach/she/VE/nithink meאִישׁishanyoneיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreמֵאֲשֶׁרme/a/SHERthan whatיִרְאַנִיyir/A/nihe sees meאוֹoorמֵאֲשֶׁרme/a/SHERthatיִשְׁמַעyish/MAhe hearsמִמֶּנִּי׃mim/MEN/nifrom me

   For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me.

   וּפֶןu/FENand lestאֶתְרוֹמֵםet/ro/MEMI be exaltedעַד־לִמְאֹדad-lim/ODexceedinglyבְּרֹבbe/ROVby the greatness ofהַחֶזְיֹנוֹתha/chez/yo/NOTthe revelationsנִתַּןnit/TANwas givenלִיlito meקוֹץkotsa thornבַּבָּשָׂרbab/ba/SARin the fleshמַלְאַךְmal/AKHan angel ofהַשָּׂטָןHas/sa/TANSatanלְהַכֹּתֵנִיle/hak/ko/te/NIto strike meבְּאֶגְרֹףbe/eg/ROFwith the fistפֶּןpenlestאֶתְרוֹמֵםet/ro/MEMI be exaltedעַד־לִמְאֹד׃ad-lim/ODexceedingly

   And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

   עַל־זֹאתal-zotfor thisהִתְחַנַּנְתִּיhit/chan/NAN/tiI pleadedשָׁלֹשׁsha/LOSHthreeפְּעָמִיםpe/a/MIMtimesאֶל־הָאָדוֹןel-ha/a/DONwith the Lordכִּיkithatיָסוּרya/SURit would departמִמֶּנִּי׃mim/MEN/nifrom me

   For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

9. 9

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidאֵלַיe/LAYto meדַּיdayenoughלְךָle/KHAfor youחַסְדִּיchas/DImy graceכִּיkiforגְּבוּרָתִיge/vu/ra/TImy powerתִּשְׁלַםtish/LAMis completedבַּחֻלְשָׁהba/chul/SHAin weaknessעַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeבְּשִׂמְחָהbe/sim/CHAwith joyרַבָּהrab/BAgreatאֶתְהַלֵּלet/hal/LELI will boastבְּחׇלְיִיbe/chol/YIin my weaknessesלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatתָּנוּחַta/NU/achmay be at restעָלַיa/LAYupon meגְּבוּרַתge/vu/RATthe power ofהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃ham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiah

   And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeרֹצֶהro/TSEwantאֲנִיa/NIIבַּחֳלָיִםba/cho/LA/yimin weaknessesבַּחֲרָפוֹתba/cha/ra/FOTin reproachesבַּמַּחְסוֹרִיםbam/mach/so/RIMin needsבַּמַּשְׂטֵמוֹתbam/mas/te/MOTin persecutionsבַּמְּצוּקוֹתbam/me/tsu/KOTby distressesבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURfor the sake ofהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achthe Messiahכִּיkiforכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenחָלַשְׁתִּיcha/lash/TII am weakאָזazthenגִּבּוֹרgib/BORstrongאָנִי׃A/niI am

    Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

    I am become a fool in glorying; ye have compelled me: for I ought to have been commended of you: for in nothing am I behind the very chiefest apostles, though I be nothing.

    אָכֵןa/KHENtrulyאֹתוֹתo/TOTsignsהַשָּׁלִיחַhash/sha/LI/achthe apostleנַעֲשׂוּna/a/SUwere doneבְקִרְבְּכֶםve/kir/be/KHEMamong youבְּכׇל־אֹרֶךְbe/KHOL-O/rekhwith all the patience ofרוּחַRU/achspiritבְּאֹתוֹתbe/o/TOTin signsוּבְמוֹפְתִיםu/ve/mof/TIMand wondersוּבִגְבוּרוֹת׃u/vig/vu/ROTand mighty deeds

    Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.

13. 13

    כִּיkiforבַמֶּהvam/MEin whatנִגְרַעְתֶּםnig/ra/TEMwere you lessמִן־הַקְּהִלּוֹתmin-hak/ke/hil/LOTthan the churchesהָאֲחֵרוֹתha/a/che/ROTotherאִם־לֹאim-loif notבַּאֲשֶׁרba/a/SHERin thatאֲנִיa/NIIלֹאlonotהָיִיתִיha/YI/tiwasלָכֶםla/KHEMto youלְמַשָּׂאle/mas/SAa burdenסִלְחוּ־נָאsil/CHU-naforgiveלִיlimeאֶת־הָעַוְלָהet-ha/av/LAthe wrongהַזֹּאת׃haz/ZOTthis

    For what is it wherein ye were inferior to other churches, except it be that I myself was not burdensome to you? forgive me this wrong.

14. 14

    הִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iנָכוֹןna/KHONreadyלָבוֹאla/VOto comeאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMto youפַּעַםPA/ama timeשְׁלִישִׁיתshe/li/SHITthirdוְלֹאve/LOand notאֶהְיֶהeh/YEI will beלָכֶםla/KHEMto youלְמַשָּׂאle/mas/SAa burdenכִּיkiforלֹאlonotאֲבַקֵּשׁa/vak/KESHI seekאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhat isלָכֶםla/KHEMyoursכִּיkibutאִם־אֶתְכֶםim-et/KHEMrather youכִּיkiforלֹאlonotעַל־הַבָּנִיםal-hab/ba/NIMon the sonsלֶאֱצֹרle/e/TSORto store upלָאָבוֹתla/a/VOTfor the fathersכִּיkibutאִם־עַל־הָאָבוֹתim-al-ha/a/VOTrather on the fathersלַבָּנִים׃lab/ba/NIMfor the sons

    Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you; and I will not be burdensome to you: for I seek not yours, but you: for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.

15. 15

    וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iבְּשִׂמְחָהbe/sim/CHAwith joyרַבָּהrab/BAgreatאֲפַזֵּרa/faz/ZERI will spendוְגַםve/GAMand alsoאֲפֻזַּרa/fuz/ZARbe spentבְּעַדbe/ADforנַפְשׁוֹתֵיכֶםnaf/sho/te/KHEMyour soulsגַּםgamalsoכִּי־אַרְבֶּהki-ar/BEthough I increaseלֶאֱהֹבle/e/HOVto loveאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouכֵּןkensoתִּמְעַטtim/ATI am loved lessאַהֲבַתְכֶםa/ha/vat/KHEMyour loveאֹתִי׃o/TIme

    And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved.

16. 16

    אֲבָלa/VALbutיְהִיye/HIlet it beכֵןkhensoאֲנִיa/NIIלֹאlonotהִכְבַּדְתִּיhikh/BAD/timade heavyעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMon youאַךְakhbutבִּהְיוֹתִיbih/yo/TIbeingעָרוּםa/RUMcraftyבְּמִרְמָהbe/mir/MAwith deceitלָכַדְתִּיla/KHAD/tiI caughtאֶתְכֶם׃et/KHEMyou

    But be it so, I did not burden you: nevertheless, being crafty, I caught you with guile.

17. 17

    הֲהוֹנֵיתִיha/ho/ne/TIdid I make a gain ofאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouבְּיַד־אֶחָדbe/YAD-e/CHADby the hand of oneמִשְּׁלוּחַיmish/she/lu/CHAYof my envoysאֲלֵיכֶם׃a/le/KHEMto you

    Did I make a gain of you by any of them whom I sent unto you?

18. 18

    בִּקַּשְׁתִּיbik/KASH/tiI askedמִטִּיטוֹסmit/Ti/TOSof Titusוְשָׁלַחְתִּיve/sha/lach/TIand I sentאִתּוֹit/TOwith himאֶת־הָאָחet-ha/ACHthe brotherהֲהוֹנָהha/ho/NAdid defraudאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouטִיטוֹסTi/TOSTitusהֲלֹאha/LOdid notבְּרוּחַbe/RU/achin spiritאֶחָדe/CHADoneהִתְהַלַּכְנוּhit/hal/LAKH/nuwe walkהֲלֹאha/LOdid notבְּמַעְגָּלbe/ma/GALin a pathאֶחָד׃e/CHADone

    I desired Titus, and with him I sent a brother. Did Titus make a gain of you? walked we not in the same spirit? walked we not in the same steps?

19. 19

    הַעוֹדha/ODdo stillתַּחְשְׁבוּtach/she/VUyou thinkכִּיkithatמִצְטַדְּקִיםmits/tad/de/KIMjustifying ourselvesאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweלִפְנֵיכֶםlif/ne/KHEMbefore youלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodנְדַבֵּרne/dab/BERwe speakבַּמָּשִׁיחַbam/Ma/SHI/achin the Messiahוְאֶת־הַכֹּלve/ET-hak/KOLand everythingאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweעֹשִׂיםo/SIMdoיְדִידַיye/di/DAYmy belovedלְמַעַןle/MA/anforתִּבָּנוּ׃tib/ba/NUyou be built up

    Again, think ye that we excuse ourselves unto you? we speak before God in Christ: but we do all things, dearly beloved, for your edifying.

    כִּיkiforיָרֵאya/REI fearאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIפֶּן־אָבֹאpen-a/VOlest I comeוְלֹא־אֶמְצָאve/LO-em/TSAand not findאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouכִּלְבָבִיkil/va/VIas my heartוְלֹא־אֶמָּצֵאve/LO-em/ma/TSEand not be foundלָכֶםla/KHEMto youכִּלְבַבְכֶםkil/vav/KHEMas your heartפֶּןpenlestיִהְיוּyih/YUthere will beבָכֶםva/KHEMamong youמַצָּהmats/TSAstrifeקִנְאָהkin/Ajealousyחֵמוֹתche/MOTfuryמְרִיבוֹתme/ri/VOTquarrelsדִּבָּהdib/BAslanderרָכִילra/KHILslanderגַּאֲוָהga/a/VAprideמְהוּמוֹת׃me/hu/MOTdisorders

    For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:

    וּפֶןu/FENand lestבְּשׁוּבִיbe/shu/VIwhen I returnלָבוֹאla/VOto comeיַשְׁפִּילֵנִיyash/pi/le/NIwill humble meאֱלֹהַיe/lo/HAYmy Godבְּתוֹכְכֶםbe/tokh/KHEMamong youוְאֶתְאַבֵּלve/et/ab/BELand I mournעַל־רַבִּיםal-rab/BIMover manyאֲשֶׁר־חָטְאוּa/SHER-cha/te/Uwho sinnedכְבָרkhe/VARalreadyוְלֹאve/LOand notשָׁבוּSHA/vurepentedמִן־הַטֻּמְאָהmin-hat/tum/Afrom the uncleannessוּמִן־הַזְּנוּתu/MIN-haz/ze/NUTand from the fornicationוּמִן־הַזִּמָּהu/MIN-haz/zim/MAand from the lewdnessאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatעָשׂוּ׃a/SUthey did

    And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.
