1. 1

   אַחֲלַיwould-to-Godתִּשְׂאוּyou-could-bearמְעַטa-littleאִוַּלְתִּיmy-follyוְאַף־אׇמְנָםand-indeedתִּשָּׂאוּנִי׃bear-with-me

   Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me.

   כִּיbecauseמְקַנֵּאjealousאֲנִיI-amלָכֶםover-youקִנְאַתwith-the-jealousy-ofאֱלֹהִיםGodכִּיforקִדַּשְׁתִּיI-have-espousedאֶתְכֶםyouלְאִישׁto-husbandאֶחָדoneלְהַעֲמִידto-presentבְּתוּלָהa-virginטְהוֹרָהchasteלִפְנֵיtoהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃the-Messiah

   For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

   אֲבָלbutיָרֵאI-fearאָנֹכִיIפֶּןlestתִּשְׂטֶינָהshould-be-corruptedמַחְשְׁבוֹתֵיכֶםyour-mindsמִן־הַתְּמִימוּתfrom-the-simplicityאֲשֶׁרwhich-isעִם־הַמָּשִׁיחַin-the-Messiahכַּאֲשֶׁרasהִשּׂיאbeguiledהַנָּחָשׁthe-serpentבְּעׇרְמָתוֹthrough-his-subtiltyאֶת־חַוָּה׃Eve

   But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

   כִּיbecauseאִם־יָבֹאif...comethהַבָּאhe-thatוְיַכְרִיזpreachethלָכֶםto-youיֵשׁוּעַJesusאַחֵרanotherאֲשֶׁרwhomלֹאnotהִכְרַזְנוּwe-have-preachedאוֹorאִם־תִּקְחוּif-you-receiveרוּחַa-spiritאַחֵרanotherאֲשֶׁרwhichלֹא־לְקַחְתֶּםyou-have-not-receivedאוֹ־בְשׂוֹרָהor-a-gospelאַחֶרֶתanotherאֲשֶׁרwhichלֹא־קִבַּלְתֶּםyou-have-not-acceptedכִּיthatאָזthenהֵיטֵבwellתִּשָּׂאֻהוּ׃you-bear-with-him

   For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

   אוּלָםbutאֶחֱשֹׁבI-supposeאֲשֶׁר־אֵינֶנִּיthat-I-am-notנֹפֵלbehindעַד־מְאֹדa-whitמֵהַשְּׁלִיחִיםthe-apostlesהַגְּדוֹלִיםchiefestכׇּל־כָּךְ׃very

   For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles.

   וְאַףbutאִם־בַּעַרthough-rudeאָנֹכִיIמִדִּבּוּרin-speechאֵינֶנִּיyet-notבַעַרrudeמִדָּעַתin-knowledgeאֶלָּאbutבַכֹּלin-all-thingsלַכֹּלto-allנִגְלִינוּwe-have-been-made-manifestבִּפְנֵיכֶם׃among-you

   But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things.

   אוֹorהֶחָטָאתִיhave-I-committed-an-offenseבְּהַשְׁפִּילִיin-abasingאֶת־עַצְמִיmyselfלְמַעַןthatהַגְבִּיהֲכֶםyou-might-be-exaltedכִי־בִשַּׂרְתִּיbecause-I-have-preachedאֶתְכֶםto-youאֶת־בְּשׂוֹרַתthe-gospel-ofהָאֱלֹהִיםGodבְּלֹא־מְחִיר׃freely

   Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely?

   מִקְהִלּוֹתfrom-churchesאֲחֵרוֹתotherנָטַלְתִּיI-tookבְּקַחְתִּיtakingמֵהֶןof-themשָׂכָרwagesלְמַעַןtoאֲשָׁרֶתְכֶםdo-you-serviceוְהָיִיתִיand-when-I-wasעִמָּכֶםpresent-with-youוָאֶחְסַרand-wantedוְלֹאnotהֶלְאֵיתִיI-was-chargeable-toאָדָם׃man

   I robbed other churches, taking wages of them, to do you service.

   כִּיbecauseהָאַחִיםthe-brethrenהַבָּאִיםwhich-cameמִמַּקְדּוֹנְיָאfrom-Macedoniaנָתְנוּsuppliedלִיmeדֵיthat-which-was-lacking-ofמַחְסוֹרִיmy-wantוּבְכׇל־דָּבָרand-in-all-thingsנִשְׁמַרְתִּיI-have-kept-myselfמִהְיוֹתfrom-beingלָכֶםunto-youלְמַשָּׂאburdensomeוְעוֹדand-soאֶשָּׁמֵר׃will-I-keep-myself

   And when I was present with you, and wanted, I was chargeable to no man: for that which was lacking to me the brethren which came from Macedonia supplied: and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself.

    אֲמִתּוֹthe-truth-ofשֶׁל־הַמָּשִׁיחַthe-Messiahבִּיis-in-meשֶׁלּא־תִכָּלֵאshall-not-be-stoppedמִמֶּנִּיfrom-meתְּהִלָּתִיmy-boastingזֹאתthisבִּגְלִילוֹתin-the-regions-ofאֲכַיָּא׃Achaia

    As the truth of Christ is in me, no man shall stop me of this boasting in the regions of Achaia.

11. 11

    עַל־מַה־זֶהwhereforeהַעַלis-it-becauseאֲשֶׁרthatאֵינֶנִּיI...notאֹהֵבloveאֶתְכֶםyouהָאֱלֹהִיםGodיוֹדֵעַ׃knoweth

    Wherefore? because I love you not? God knoweth.

    אֲבָלbutאֵת־אֲשֶׁרwhatאֲנִיIעָשִׂיתִיdoאוֹסִיףI-willלַעֲשׂוֹתdoלְבִלְתִּיthat...notהַנִּיחַ־מָקוֹםgive-occasionלַמְבַקְשִׁיםto-them-which-desireשֶׁיִּמָּצְאוּthat-they-may-be-foundדּוֹמִיםeven-asלָנוּweבְּמַה־שֶּׁיִּתְהַלֲלוּin-that-whereof-they-gloryבּוֹ׃in-it

    But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.

    כִּיbecauseאֲנָשִׁיםmenכָּאֵלֶּהsuchשְׁלִיחֵיapostles-ofשֶׁקֶרfalsehoodהֵםareפֹּעֲלֵיworkers-ofרְמִיָּהdeceitעֹשִׂיםmakingעַצְמָםthemselvesכְּמַלְאֲכֵיas-the-apostles-ofהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃the-Messiah

    For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

14. 14

    וְאֵיןand-noלִתְמוֹהַּmarvelהֲלֹאforהַשָּׂטָןSatanגַּם־הוּאhimselfעָשָׂהmakethעַצְמוֹhimselfכְּמַלְאַךְas-an-angel-ofהָאוֹר׃light

    And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

15. 15

    לָכֵןthereforeלֹאnotדָּבָרa-thingגָּדוֹלgreatהוּאit-isאִםifגַּם־מְשָׁרֲתָיוhis-ministers-alsoעֹשִׂיםmakeעַצְמָםthemselvesכִּמְשָׁרֲתֵיas-the-ministers-ofהַצֶּדֶקrighteousnessאֲשֶׁרwhoseאַחֲרִיתָםendתִּהְיֶהshall-beלְפִיaccording-toמַעַלְלֵיהֶם׃their-works

    Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

    וְאָשׁוּבagainוְאֹמַרI-sayאַל־נָאlet-noיַחְשְׁבֵנִיthink-meאִישׁmanלְסָכׇלa-foolוְאַף־עַל־פִּיyetכֵןeven-soכְּסָכׇלas-a-foolקַבְּלוּנִיreceive-meלְמַעַןthatאֶתְהַלֵּלI-may-boastמְעַטa-littleגַּם־אָנִי׃also-I

    I say again, Let no man think me a fool; if otherwise, yet as a fool receive me, that I may boast myself a little.

17. 17

    אֵת־אֲשֶׁרthat-whichאֲדַבֵּרI-speakלֹא־כְדֶּרֶךְnot-afterהָאָדוֹןthe-LordאָנֹכִיIמְדַבֵּרspeakאֶלָּאbutכְּמוֹas-it-wereבְסִכְלוּתfoolishlyכֵּןsoאָעֹזI-am-boldוְאֶתְהַלָּל׃and-boast

    That which I speak, I speak it not after the Lord, but as it were foolishly, in this confidence of boasting.

18. 18

    רַבִּיםmanyמִתְהַלֲלִיםgloryלְפִיafterהַבָּשָׂרthe-fleshלָכֵןthereforeאֶתְהַלֵּלI-will-gloryגַּם־אָנִי׃also-I

    Seeing that many glory after the flesh, I will glory also.

19. 19

    כִּי־נֹשְׂאִיםfor-you-sufferאַתֶּםyouלִרְצוֹנְכֶםgladlyאֶת־הַסְּכָלִיםfoolsבִּהְיוֹתְכֶםseeing-you-areחֲכָמִים׃wise

    For ye suffer fools gladly, seeing ye yourselves are wise.

20. 20

    הֲלֹאforתִשְׂאוּyou-sufferכִּיifיְשַׁעְבֵּדbring-into-bondageאֶתְכֶםyouאִישׁa-manכִּי־יְבַלַּעif-he-devour-youכִּי־יִלְכֹּדif-he-takeאֶתְכֶםof-youכִּי־יִתְנַשֵּׂאif-he-exalt-himselfכִּי־יַכֶּהif-he-smiteאֶתְכֶםyouעַל־פְּנֵיכֶם׃on-the-face

    For ye suffer, if a man bring you into bondage, if a man devour you, if a man take of you, if a man exalt himself, if a man smite you on the face.

21. 21

    לְחֶרְפָּתֵנוּas-concerning-reproachאֲנִיIמְדַבֵּרspeakחַלָּשִׁיםweakהָיִינוּwe-wereאֲבָלhowbeitבְּכׇל־אֲשֶׁרwhereinsoeverיִרְהַבis-boldאִישׁanyלְהִתְהַלֵּלto-boastאֶרְהַבI-am-boldגַּם־אֲנִיalso-Iבְּסִכְלוּתִי׃I-speak-foolishly

    I speak as concerning reproach, as though we had been weak. Howbeit whereinsoever any is bold, (I speak foolishly,) I am bold also.

22. 22

    עִבְרִיםHebrewsהֵםare-theyוְגַם־אֲנִיso-am-IיִשְׂרְאֵלִיםIsraelitesהֵםare-theyוְגַם־אָנִיso-am-Iזֶרַעthe-seed-ofאַבְרָהָםAbrahamהֵםare-theyוְגַם־אָנִי׃so-am-I

    Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? so am I.

23. 23

    מְשָׁרֲתֵיministers-ofהַמָּשִׁיחַthe-Messiahהֵםare-theyוַאֲנִיand-Iכְּמִתְהוֹלֵלas-a-foolאֹמַרI-speakאֲנִיI-amיוֹתֵרmoreמֵהֶםthan-themיוֹתֵרmore-abundantבִּיגִיעוֹתin-laborsיוֹתֵרaboveלִמְאֹדmeasureבְּמַכּוֹתin-stripesיוֹתֵרmore-frequentבְּמוֹסֵרוֹתin-prisonsוְרֹבand-oftפְּעָמִיםtimesבִּמְצוּקוֹתin-perils-ofמָוֶת׃death

    Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft.

    חָמֵשׁfiveפְּעָמִיםtimesלָקִיתִיreceived-I-stripesעַל־יְדֵיofהַיְּהוּדִיםthe-Jewsאַרְבָּעִיםfortyחָסֵרsaveאֶחָת׃one

    Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one.

    שָׁלשׁthriceפְּעָמִיםtimesיֻסַּרְתִּיwas-I-beatenבַשּׁוֹטִיםwith-rodsפַּעַםoneאַחַתtimeסֻקַּלְתִּיwas-I-stonedוְשָׁלשׁthriceפְּעָמִיםtimesנִשְׁבְּרָהwas-brokenסְפִינָתִיmy-shipוָאֱהִיI-have-beenבִּמְצוּלוֹתin-the-deep-ofיָםthe-seaלַיְלָהa-nightוָיוֹם׃and-a-day

    Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;

    בְּמַסָּעוֹתin-journeyingsרַבּוֹתoftenבְּסַכָּנוֹתin-perils-ofשֶׁל־נְהָרוֹתwatersבְּסַכָּנוֹתin-perils-ofשֶׁל־לִיסְטִיםrobbersבְּסַכָּנוֹתin-perilsמִבְּנֵי־עַמִּיby-mine-own-countrymenבְּסַכָּנוֹתin-perilsמִן־הַגּוֹיִםby-the-heathenבְּסַכָּנוֹתin-perilsבָּעִירin-the-cityבְּסַכָּנוֹתin-perilsבַּמִּדְבָּרin-the-wildernessבְּסַכָּנוֹתin-perilsבַּיָּםin-the-seaבְּסַכָּנוֹתin-perilsבְּקֶרֶבamongאֲחֵיbrethren-ofשָׁקֶר׃falsehood

    In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;

    בְּעָמָלin-wearinessוּבִתְלָאָהand-painfulnessבִּשְׁקִידוֹתin-watchingsהַרְבֵּהoftenבְּרָעָבin-hungerוּבְצָמָאand-thirstבְּצוֹמוֹתin-fastingsהַרְבֵּהoftenבְּקָרָהin-coldוּבְעֵירוֹם׃and-nakedness

    In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.

28. 28

    מִלְּבַדbesideיֶתֶרthe-otherהַדְּבָרִיםthingsהַבָּאִיםwhich-comeעָלַיupon-meיוֹםdayיוֹםby-dayוְדַאֲגַתthe-care-ofכׇּל־הַקְּהִלּוֹת׃all-the-churches

    Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.

29. 29

    מִיwhoיֶחֱלַשׁis-weakוַאֲנִיand-Iלֹאnotאֶחֱלָשׁam-weakמִיwhoיִכָּשֵׁלis-offendedוְלֹאand-notיִבְעַרburnלִבִּי׃my-heart

    Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not?

30. 30

    אִם־יֵשׁif-I-mustלְהִתְהַלֵּלgloryאֶתְהַלֵּלI-will-gloryבְּחֻלְשָׁתִי׃of-mine-infirmities

    If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities.

31. 31

    הָאֱלֹהִיםthe-Godאֲבִיand-Father-ofיֵשׁוּעַJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַthe-Messiahאֲדֹנֵינוּour-Lordהַמְבֹרָךְwho-is-blessedלְעוֹלְמֵיforעוֹלָמִיםevermoreהוּאheיֹדֵעַknowethכִּיthatלֹאnotאֲשַׁקֵּר׃I-lie

    The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not.

32. 32

    בְּדַמֶּשֶׂקin-Damascusשָׁמַרkeptהַנִּצָּבthe-governorשֶׁל־אֲרֵטַסunder-Aretasהַמֶּלֶךְthe-kingאֶת־עִירthe-city-ofהַדַּמַּשְׂקִיִּיםthe-Damascenesוַיְבַקֵּשׁdesirousלְתָפְשֵׂנִי׃to-apprehend-me

    In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king kept the city of the Damascenes with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me:

33. 33

    וּבְעַדand-throughהַחַלּוֹןa-windowהוֹרִידוּwas-I-let-downאֹתִיmeבְּסַלin-a-basketמֵעַלfrom-uponהַחוֹמָהthe-wallוָאִמָּלֵטand-escapedמִיָּדָיו׃his-hands

    And through a window in a basket was I let down by the wall, and escaped his hands.
